  • This is why BHVR needs to stop catering to killers. You give 'em an inch and they take a mile. The same people that used to whine about not getting a 4k every single game act all confident now that the game is easy mode for killers.

  • Um. So first off...Ghostface is a very strong killer. Your loss had nothing to do with you going against red ranks. I'm 100% assuming its your skill and knowledge of the killer you're using. Here's how you can do better:

    1) I'm assuming you're wasting time by stalking people. Don't do this. Ever. Just stealth up, run in, and whack 'em off gens and force them to heal. Survivors are rarely dumb enough to not look around for a stalking Ghostface. Especially once they know Ghostface is in play.

    2) Your build sucks. In my opinion the best build for Ghostface is: Ruin/Surveillance/Sloppy Butcher/Nurse's Calling. It's a slight variation to the Tru3ta1ent Ghostface that was popular before the ruin nerf.

    3) If there are multiple people where you're heading to hit 1 and chase the others. Commit only on the last person, but not too long. If they're starting to loop you well, just stop and look for a healing survivor. Your goal isn't to commit to chases, its just to keep them in a constant healing state so that by the time your power is back up you can just walk over and down 'em thanks to Nurse's. Surveillance/Ruin will be helpful mid to late game in finding survivors. No BBQ needed.

    4) Franklin's is a TERRIBLE perk. If you're that afraid of flashlight saves learn to pick up survivors in the opposite direction or face a wall so flashlight saves are useless. You can also bait flashlight saves by standing over the survivor, crouching on them, and then immediately stand back up and turn around. If you see scratch marks or a survivor...well, you should know what to do.

    5) If survivors run up to you to take hits to preventing you from hooking... be excited. Altruism is a survivor's greatest weakness. This is what you want. Just hit all the survivors coming for the rescue. The person will get off, but you'll have 4 injured survivors which makes you a T3 Myers WITH STEALTH AND NURSE'S CALLING until remedied.

    6) Invest in better add-ons. The green one that boosts power recovery and the purple that makes it impossible to break you out of stealth are the ones that you want. Everything else is #########.

    7) Win.

You think that's bad? How about the poor Hag who was rank 20 and no perks and this was its very first game. He faced a rank 1, a rank 3, a rank 4 and me a rank 4. Needless to say, the Hag's first game wasn't a pleasant one.

My first game as survivor wasn't very pleasant either. It's to be expected when you don't know what you're doing. Lol

Implying the killers owe the survivors anything just for being the power role...

Do you know how PvP works?

Then survivors don't really owe killers anything being the reactive role.

  • I mean if you legitimately camped then you abused your position in the power role. The doctor is such a good killer you don't even need to camp. If you don't want messages like this then just turn 'em off.

  • 1) You don't fall asleep as fast when woken up via the clocks.

    2) Pallets are base, snares are an add on.

    3) Teleports to clocks, not gens. Freddy can teleport endgame.

    4) The clock you can use to wake up is randomely selected, not the one on the other side of the map.

    Here's your quote AGAIN, dude.

'I do, however, participate in general DbD toxicity if the killer camps or tunnels legitimately as its an abuse of the power role'

Do I need to get out the highlighter and little stickers for you? You admitted, right there, that you treat Killers toxic if YOU THINK THEY TUNNELED.

Tunneling is purely subjective, so YOU ACT TOXIC, if you THINK (I'm sure you never heard those two words together before) SOMEONE HAS DONE SOMETHING YOU, SUBJECTIVELY, DON'T LIKE.

Therefor, you are a toxic, horrible player and I hope your actions in game get you banned.

Riiiiiiiiight. Uh huh. Yup. You're absolutely right.

  • If you got a 4man SWF team and everyone has all the perks you can do:

    - Slippery Meat

    - Decisive Strike

    - Unbreakable

    - Up the Ante

Everyone bring a jar of Vigo's Salty Lips and a brown medkit with a stiptic agent. If the killer doesn't bring a mori, only use the medkit to heal and play normally. If the killer brings a mori then everyone separate and do different gens, waste time with your regular looping prowess and stiptic, and once they down you, hook you, and leave then kobe. If they come back just hop in a locker. Most hooks have one nearby. The most kills they'll get is 1 if done properly. They can enjoy the depip and lack of points for using such an overpowered item.

You're either stupid, or ignored me.

I was pointing out that YOU said YOU treat Killer's bad 'if they tunnel legitly'.

There's no definition to tunneling or camping; it's all garbage Survivors say to excuse their own raving at the end of a match.

Therefor, YOU treat Killers toxic if they don't play 'your way'. You said so yourself. That makes you toxic.

Um, no. That was your argument. Lol. Nice try, hypocrite.

  • @Entity_Hugs said:

Says Mr 'I Treat Killers Badly If They Don't Play By My Rules'.

Just by your admission, you're more likely to treat Killers badly while bringing D. Strike and Dead Hard and bodyblocking. You've already admitted you treat Killers bad if they don't do what you want & use your made up rules.

Your argument is so silly. Lol. So if the Killer gets butthurt because I'm playing the game I want to (AKA Teabagging at the exit gate) that's justified. Lol. Hypocrite. Also I love how you throw in a D-strike jab at the end. Again, an example of a killer being salty because a survivor wants to play the game they want to.

And for the record, I don't use meta perks regularly. :o)

' I do, however, participate in general DbD toxicity if the killer camps or tunnels legitimately'

You mean, if the Killer's use a legitimate play style, you act toxic?

You mean, if the Killer does not play the way YOU want him too (What defines camping and tunneling varies from person to person. There's no set definition or rule to say what it is), you act toxic?

Good to know you're toxic. Hope I never play against you.

Lol. If you're that bothered by something so trivial I hope I don't get you as a killer either. 😂 You'd probably write a post about how OP survivors are while bringing a mori and NoED.

  • @Peanits said:

It bears repeating on a daily basis, but what you're referring to is not a problem with the hitbox, it's an issue with latency and hit authority. Contrary to popular belief, the hitboxes are not flailing around uncontrollably. The issue arises because what you see and what the killer sees are two different things. You might see yourself around the corner, but since that information takes time to get from your system to theirs, they see where you were a fraction of a second before, when you were still in the open.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1262384#Comment_1262384

They are both projectiles. Hitscan would mean you hit where you're pointing instantly, projectiles are an actual object with travel time (i.e. you have to lead your shots). The Deathslinger's spear is much faster and flies straighter than a hatchet, but they are both projectiles.

The killer also has an advantage on hits being favored by the server. Why is this when survivors are the reactive role?

..That's how you're supposed to spend chases. Are you going to tell me you think it's unfair that you have to keep an eye on the man trying to kill you as you run away, and Killers should be punished because you don't wanna?

Um, no. Every other killer I can glance back and forth. If I do that with Deathslinger I get shot. Besides, a ranged instashot killer on DbD's dedicated servers is kinda unfair anyway. There's been numerous times I'm well out of the way, or hell through the window and already on the side of it (Out of range) and I'll still get hit. Instashot shouldn't be a thing unless its an add-on.

  • I think he's fine and agree with basically what everyone is saying. The only thing I think he really needs is a slight increase in the time to aim scopes down and maybe an add on to make it back to what it was. The insta shot thing is stupid and has no counterplay. I cant spend my entire chase swirving and looking behind me.

Ah problem solved so I’ll just stop playing a game I like instead of hoping they actually balance the game. Thanks for the tip 🙄

I'll give you a tip. Try slugging. Killers have every tool in their arsenal to win every game, moreso now that survivors are basically left with deadzones everywhere. Slugging forces survivors to get off their gens and help the injured. Once everyone is injured and you have the advantage start hooking again. Also bring Pop so you can slow down generators. Thrilling Tremors or BBQ to see which gens are being worked on.

  • Acting like that is kinda beyond toxic. That's just outright childish and makes them look like sore winners. Although they probably do message the killer when they lose too. I do, however, participate in general DbD toxicity if the killer camps or tunnels legitimately as its an abuse of the power role. If you camp and tunnel and don't kill me, I'm teabagging you at the exit gate.

  • I wish they'd stay away from licensed content going forward. Yeah its cool and draws people in, but the hoops the devs gotta jump through to change ######### seems like too much work. That and no licensed characters will ever be featured in the battlepass sucks.

Yes. I'm gonna tell you that. Nurse could cut loops off because she can literally teleport through walls and pallets. Vaults, pallets, and everything else become useless against a good Nurse and she used to be able to have 5 blinks. Her base movement speed used to be faster as well. Omegablink Nurse could easily traverse the map in a quick way, the only difference was that she could go ANYWHERE and not just to generators.

And Sprit with Mother Daughter Ring and Prayer Beads? Literally speed racer across the map and you can't even hear her phasing but you claim she could "never do the same"? How do you not know this stuff? You MUST be new. You've just exposed yourself buddy LOL

I'm aware of how Nurse/Spirit used to be. But they still can't do what Freddy does and never have been able to. Nice try. :)

  • It's just bad luck. I had a day where I got Hawkins 5 times in a row. :/

Lol no other killer in the history of DBD? Such a bold claim. That's a statement that can only be made by somebody that started playing VERY recently.

We've been through incredibly oppressive versions of Nurse and Spirit and that wasn't even that long ago.

You're gonna tell me that Nurse had the ability to slow down survivors at loops and cut them off entirely and then once hooking the survivor instantly can appear at the BBQ'd targets gen across the map and immediately pop the gen? Yeah, no. Spirit could never do the same either.

And I haven't started recently. But nice try.

If Survivors "honed their skills" in the way to red ranks, why most people here agree that red rank Survivors can be just as potato and boosted as a rank 15 Survivor?

It's safe to say that both you and OP don't play enough Killer games to know what you are talking about.

Some potatoes will fall through the cracks. But if killers REALLY lost as much as they claim they do (Which isn't true, by the way) then its just a few potatoes here and there.

And I've played a lot of killer. Even 200%'d the game on PS4. I've never had issues like any of the killers here. If I got a 0k, it was either unfortunate luck at the start (All survivors started separated) or I was outplayed. You won't find any post of mine bitching about survivors destroying me from time to time.

  • Freddy 100% needs seven or ten nerfs. He's insanely OP. And Iri Head Huntress needs to be nerfed to meet a conditional like Deathslinger.

  • @Jordan_131201 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/150271/whats-your-opinion-about-freddy

Well it's the same with spirit, nurse, hillbilly. They can easily counter loops, down you, hook you up and see you with bbq&chilli. They'll then use their power to quickly make their way to the generator. Freddy is just quicker at some things but lack in others. He's balanced in my opinion

I disagree on Nurse and Billy countering loops. Nurse changes the whole dynamic of the game which makes it fun. You can't really rely on pallets and have to play mindgames with her via line of sight or juking her teleport. You WANT Billy to rev his chainsaw at a pallet so you keep moving through and you gain distance while he's dropping his charge on the chainsaw.

I've recently realized that Blood Amber counters spirit hard. Even if you're in front of her you can use it to see if there's an aura around the husk. IF not, she's phasing and you can GTFO. But you have to bring a key for that to work. But otherwise Spirit shuts down loops ya, but she has counterplay unlike Freddy so I deem it fair.

  • Freddy is crazy OP and in need of some serious nerfs. There has been no other killer in the history of DbD that can do as much as Freddy does. Trash killers shouldn't be rewarded by getting to play a killer they get a free 4k on just because he exists.

  • I've discussed this with my friends that play DbD and we came up with a concept that I've always thought was pretty cool. Dunno how it would actually work in-game though.

First, give Clown +1 to his base bottle amount. Clown's bottles now refill over time, rather than manually, but only outside of a chase and rather quickly at that.

Secondly, he should have interchangeable types of bottles that he can change and fire at will.

Type 1: The standard slowdown bottle

Type 2: A bottle that can be thrown at a generator that applies the exposed status to survivors that dare touch the gen (Gives clown a bit of map pressure, especially late game). The generator would be fuming so survivors would know not to touch the gen if they don't want to be exposed. Survivors remain exposed until they have been removed from the gen for x amount of time or until the gen is completed. Can only be applied to 2 gens at once. If a 3rd gen is applied with the Type 2 bottle, the first gen's toxic status disappears.

Type 3: A bottle that marks a survivor and leaves the Clown able to see their aura until they Clown injures them next.

This gives him a bit more pep in his step and gives him some map pressure along with the ability to get downs faster.

  • If you let a Ghostface stalk you, you're a really bad survivor. Lol. Unless the GF is running the add-on to make breaking you out near impossible with the add-on to stalk survivors faster while not crouching.

  • My build has been Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Inner Strength, and Spine Chill since the Stranger Things chapter. But with this last patch I'm now only using meta perks. Killers are free to camp and tunnel now with basically no repercussions as survivors can't escape unless the killer is trying to lose thanks to all the deadzones and useless pallets.

I have a strong feeling you either didnt read or you fidnt understand what I wrote..either way both sides lose and benafit from this

No, I read it, but all I saw were a lot of killer advantages that don't need to be added.

  • Survivors, after being tunneled/camped/mori'd on the way to red ranks, honed their skills to become better. Killers on the other hand had the games handed to them to red ranks and then refused to get better. But the reward to survivors is to nerf them.

No matter what you say though more nerfs will come. Just watch. Moris will be a minor tweek because killers gotta be spoonfed 4ks and keys will be nerfed into oblivion.

  • Ill give up all 2nd chance perks once Freddy finally gets nerfed back into F tier. I don't use them anyway but Freddy needs a ######### nerf or seven.

  • Killers that bring moris are just bad at the game. Especially now that killer is on baby mode.

    Sincerely,

A survivor that doesn't bring keys unless a challenge forces me to.

  • Sure. Lets just go ahead with your idea. Lets just give killers everything they want. The devs do it anyway. Lol

Well to give more context for the Freddy match. Their noed totem was found rather quickly, shortly after it when off. It was the totem in bottom half of the school house. I found it and destroy it, someone else save the person off the hook, who was the unlucky victim of noed and than it turned into a 4man escape.

Which yes i was also surprise myself when it happen. Since normally it's the other way around when it comes to a Freddy. Normally it's a slaughter house. Not a 4 man escape.

Wow. But I dont think 1 match is indicative of anything. He must have been REALLY bad to get a 0k as Freddy.

4 man escape vs a Freddy with Noed. Map was badham Preschool.

4 man escape vs a endless tier three Myers, which is basically noed without a speed boost. Map was Lery's memorial institute.

Both of these games took place during the current patch aka the one you claim gives killers free 4ks. So x to doubt, killers just get free 4ks.

What? How do you get a 0k as Freddy WITH NoED?

  • If you're having problems after the last patch then I'm really not sure what to tell you. Its free 4ks for killers now with deadzones galore, loss of safe pallets, and no time to do totems due to gens taking longer and teammates going down faster.

I'd suggest using perks that balance what you're bad at or just use NoED like every killer does now.

  • Its really not. Survivors dont have time for bones anymore due to the chases ending much faster. Killers have more than enough time to secure their victory, but if they're messing up then slugging is a viable way to ensure the game is slowed down.

  • I am one of those incapable of playing Huntress. I suck at her, but have to use her for The Rift challenges. XD

  • I actually like going against Doctor. Its a game of minds when you loop him. Try dropping the pallet as he static shocks you and guess which side he's gonna move towards. Its a great feeling when you guess the right side and drop the pallet on the side he moves to and now you're in a position to dance around the pallet. If he wastes time static shocking you to prevent you from jumping over the pallet that's just another free walk around the pallet. If he bloodlusts you though there's really not much you can do, but you've wasted a TON of time for your team.

  • @LALYTHIA said:

I fail to see how your screenshots prove your point?

Match 1: BP is very balanced. 2 people escaped. 2 people died. Which is the definition of balance according to BHVR.

Match 2: All appropriately red ranks. 3 escaped. 1 died. Blood points remained fairly balanced. Seems fine.

Match 3: Killer quit. Looks like a newer nurse. Probably a daily and was tired of getting juked. It happens.

Survivor is not easy. Please stop speaking for everyone because you have had good matches with good teammates and are obviously an experienced player.

    I'd also like to add:

    • Match 1: A key was in play. How do we know the Deathslinger wasn't wiping the floor with his team and they just escaped via the hatch?
    • Match 2: That huntress only had Discordance as a tracking perk. She moves too slow to be relying on Discordance only.
    • Match 3: The Clown brought BPS and d/c'd? That seems like an accidental d/c to me.

  • Ya but Freddy is OP. Haddonfield isn't.

  • Is everyone here OK? The OP tied the game and safety pipped. What's wrong with this?

  • Killer mains. Give 'em an inch, they take a mile. How about....no. Haddonefield sucks ever since the Balanced Landing nerf. If you can't manage then you're not very good at mindgames and need to learn to git gud.

  • @Unicorn said:

Stealth is definitely a popular opinion rn amongst the Survivor Main group. I agree.

I really think stealth will be the way to go. A lot of killers already have issues with Blendettes. Make it so that their BBQ is worthless and they have to actually learn to track survivors normally.

  • It's not normally an issue. But with the new patch update it's harder for survivors to escape. Throw in a perk like NoED when there's very little time to cleanse totems then it's just not really fair anymore.

  • @Trollthem said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1241894#Comment_1241894

My point is its far from being killer sided like the dumb Op declare , survivor have been for so long on the top spot in term of abusing things and Op perks (still has op perks) swf etc now killer gets some general buff and survivor mains cries.

You're talking about less than 1% of the survivor population. The stats reveal that killers were all, on average, getting 2k+. If you were having problems getting any kills then that's on you and your skill, not on survivors.

  • @Fog_King said:

Leave NOED as it is. NOED can be countered by doing the dull totems, Adrenaline, for example, cannot, but I don't see the people that want NOED nerfed to also want Adrenaline nerfed. In my opinion, they are both ok as they are. Nerfing everything is not the answer. Survivors and killers should use the perks they want and the other players in the match just have to adapt.

In theory. Now that survivors can't really loop the killer there's barely enough time to do gens let alone totems.
