And DC players gonna DC regardless. at least this way killer get to keep their add ons and hopefully offerings for more suitable matches.
Note that the option only seems to be available to survivors. SWF would abuse the ######### out of this.
-
Maybe you should report this bug.
-
Survivor: Urban Evasion, Iron Will, Dark Sense, Premonition.
Killer: Whatever I feel like. I have actual builds in mind for each killer, but I usually deviate from them wildly and at a moment's notice.
-
@Wolf74 said:
DC won't derank you. You need to hit the "leave" button.
But that is a completely different issue.
This is about the issue to block the stairs to take the game hostage.
I rather want a solution that does not cause another disadvantage to killer that don't abuse the mechanic, but simple use it in a tactical manner.
Widening the stairs would just make the the basement less scary.
I'm talking about the "Leave match" button when I say "DC". I don't exploit, so the "other way" doesn't cross my mind.
I think bans are the perfect solution, and they're already in the game. Weed out the bad apples, as it were.

Excellent idea.

@Orion then the rest of the players should be free to decide to leave the game without consequences. It's not something that would help against chicken survivors who DC when suspecting a mori, but that's another problem.

@Orion Then that's their loss.
@George_Soros @se05239 Or it'd give survivors full control over killer offerings, since they'd just DC with impunity every single time they saw something they didn't like. Personally, I'd like to try to minimize DCing.
-
DCing is bannable, and once dedicated servers come in a few months, will be more severely punished. AFKing is not (I think).

Not my personal theory. I'm one of the few who subscribe to what you just said, but if the odd chance there is some science behind it all, that theory presented to which I replied to would be right.... Until you just told me that not how QM works.
There's no need to subscribe to anything, it's what's literally written in the lore. It's fact.
The issue with Schrödinger's Cat and related thought experiments is that they're an attempt at "translating" what is, in fact, a fairly complex process. Furthermore, quantum mechanics doesn't really apply to our macroscopic world, due to the law of large numbers.
-
@Wolf74 said:
The solution for this would be pretty simple: if a killer stays still for at least 2 minutes, he will lose his collisionbox.
That can't be to hard to program.
But it can be abused by, say, the Wraith to AFK derank. Since the Wraith is free, he's available to everyone, and since he starts off invisible, it's highly unlikely survivors will ever find him if he does nothing.

@tt_ivi_99 said:
@Orion yh It would be nice, but once again Knock Out is better because you dont need to hit them
They're two different perks for different purposes. Knock Out hides a survivor's aura, Third Seal causes Blindness.

What if a survivor DCs on the offering screen?

Okay, I'm awaiting my 5 dollars+15€/hour*60 (900€) refund paid for by the community, then I'm okay with cancelling out legion.
I am awaiting this as well. Come on people, put your money where your mouths are.

@MhhBurgers said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362608#Comment_362608
Yeah, how would the devs refund me my hours I put into this killer? No thx.
Not the devs, just the people who want the Legion removed. If they're trying to take unilateral decisions to deprive customers of the items they bought regardless of what anyone else thinks, then they can pay for it themselves.
-
If the killer is holding the game hostage, you can report them, but just blocking anyone anywhere is not bannable in and of itself.
-
@MhhBurgers said:

And what about the ppl that enjoy playing the legion?
Read the rest of his comments.
For the record, I'd support removing the Legion if everyone who wants them removed now would pay for the refund.

Least favorite: COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORN
Favorite: Red Forest, because it looks ######### gorgeous.

What is it with survivors thinking they should be able to 1v1 a killer in a 1v4 game, I don't get this.
I don't know. It was the same in Evolve with Paladin Parnell. While amusing if you were playing him, it was definitely not fun as the monster.
-
Orion, from Greek mythology. I liked certain aspects of his character as well as his titles. I myself am named after a god, but I'd rather not use my real name online, so I went with Orion.

Nono, Im not talking about how to beat him, Im talking about how to not get down by him, which is something you can do against any other killer. Start.
By design, you are not able to hold off a killer indefinitely. It's the same for every single killer.

@Orion Hey don't drag me into this any deeper! I said my part.

Three years, actually.

How you gonna break line of sight against a guy walking 2s as fast as you, this is not nurse, imagine thinking you're important enough to speak your opinion 1280 times and yet not being able to see how braindead wrong of a killer Legion is, this is why forums like these don't work, the biggest morons talk the most.
32% faster. Imagine berating someone and calling them an idiot when you don't even know the facts.
-
@tt_ivi_99 said:
It would be just like ruin, It would get destroyed at the first 30 seconds of the match.
I like how it is now because survivors dont expect it and dont start searching for it until they are blind-injured. If they started the match blind they would search for the totem and you wouldnt have any preassure on them.
I like to use Knock Out instead because 16m is practically nothing.
Did you read the alternative?
-
@MhhBurgers said:
Blindness needs to be removed as it's negated by SWF anyways. We need more things that work against the best survivors, we don't need more things to stomp solos
The problem is that SWF counters everything in the game, so by that logic, we need to remove everything.

Check his posting history and draw your own conclusions as to whether you should care.
-
@DocFabron said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362512#Comment_362512
Thats a better alternative, but at the same time, SWF would still hard counter it. At least it would be more effective than it is now.
SWF hard counters everything in the game.

No. I'm making valid points, and I would like to hear what the developers think.
The developers think it's not coming back and want you to get over it.
-
@Delfador said:
I think alternative is much better assuming they can get rid of by healing.
Yes, that's the idea.
-
@Boss said:
That's nice i guess.
Still far too weak for me to ever equip though.
That's not TTS' fault though, that's all on Blindness.
Blindness can be powerful. The problem, as with many things in this game, is SWF.
-
@DocFabron said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362506#Comment_362506
It wouldn't make the perk viable. Survivors will still only have a 14-30 second inconvenience at the start of the match.
I added an alternative, suggested by Doc October.
-
@DocFabron said:
It wouldn't change a single thing.

Ohh they're all generally uncommon-rare to me, just made a list going from most to least common out of those few.
Not a trial goes by without at least a Self Care & Sprint Burst...
I know, but I wanted to see if you had the same experience as me.
Yeah, always SC, SB, DS, Adrenaline for me.

What i see equipped from most to least lately...
Dark Sense (That buff must've helped wonders.)
Urban Evasion
Iron Will
Alert
Premonition
I've actually been using Dark Sense since I first got it, because I saw how useful it was. I mean, that perk counters NOED, straight-up. The buff just made it even better.
Thanks for the info. I don't usually see any of them.

I'm seeing it every now and then.
Still less than, idk, Spine Chill and Resilience and stuff.
But it's not non-existant like Monstrous Shrine. Not to me at least.
This is my survivor build: Urban Evasion, Premonition, Dark Sense, Iron Will. I'm thinking of replacing either Dark Sense or Iron Will with Alert. How often do you see those? Just out of curiosity.

My steam account says I'm american yet I'm not. I met many "japanese" players, most of them were western, the only real japanese were the ones with 400+ ping and none of them were ever toxic or even saying anything
Sounds about right. It's not like most Japanese people speak English to begin with.

@Boss said:

Yeah.
I just made this purely from being surprised.
Even though cheating can be done, this was a game where i just witnessed close to nothing of it.
It's more rare for me than seeing someone run only the old Deja Vu.
I've seen this before as well, BTW. I just figured it was a lag spike.
Wait, people actually use that perk?
-
@Boss said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362445#Comment_362445
Yeah, i acknowledged that in the brackets.
When in doubt, report. The mods are able to figure out the rest.
-
Last time this happened to me I was about to unzip and do some research when the survivor left. Really killed my desire for research.
-
Cheating is possible in every single game ever, because no piece of software is perfect.
-
Yes, the report system works, but you can't name and shame. Remove the profile link.
-
It is working, but bans come in waves. Furthermore, people who believe the bad players' propaganda that it doesn't work stop reporting, which adds to the problem.
-

@Orion I'm not the good Huntress myself but his sparring partner. Yes, it's possible with the right amount of space. You don't have enough space everywhere, that's why I am suggesting KYF. You need to take your time to see what's possible and what not. You can't do that in a real match.
Off-topic: Don't forget the @, quoting doesn't let me know you replied 😉
@NoShinyPony Thanks for the tip. I should be able to figure it out in a real match, though, by observing how the hatchets arc and with a rough estimate of the rubble's hitbox.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362423#Comment_362423
@Orion You can't stand directly next to the obstacle. Leave a bit space. Then, you can do a curved throw. Get a sparring partner for KYF to see what you can do. ☺️
Have you actually done that yourself? Also, does that work when there's very little room between the obstacle in front of you and the one behind you?

Mathematically it helps the killer when survivors heal themselves. Fact.
Self Care takes 32 seconds without sloppy butcher. That's 32 seconds that allow me to find and down someone AND force the injured survivor back into a locker due to BBQ which further increases the time it takes to heal himself.
Now again: Explain me how self care helps survivors against me as Billy. I use my chainsaw all game. Sometimes I even chainsaw injured survivors because it's relatively easy for me.
Tell me "mathematically" how self care helps them against decent instadown killers. I'm waiting.
There's 15 killers. Self-Care also helps if the survivors are missing every skill check, but I'd rather focus on the overall picture than edge cases.
-
@Yamaoka said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/362414#Comment_362414
I lost all credibility because your opinion is not the same as mine? Ok then. I'm glad when survivors waste their time healing. It allows me to find and down someone while keeping gen progression low. 32 seconds is a lot in this game and healing has no impact on me as I main Billy.
Now tell me again how self care helps survivors against me. I'm waiting. I rarely ever use the hammer to down someone but I'm sure healing helps them survive against me 😂
No, you lost all credibility because it's mathematically demonstrably untrue that SC hurts survivors.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
@Orion And I always thought Azarov's Key is the Huntress player's favourite map offering.
Not mine. Survivors on that realm just crouch behind rubble. Their hitboxes are completely out of reach if they do that.
-
How do you get 0,25% per second when a generator doesn't take 100 seconds to complete?
