Youd think that..but every nurse I face anymore loses..and I see it all the time on live streams..I'm tempted to keep a tally for a month and show how bad this ######### is
Same here, minus the streams. However, since that used to happen regardless, I didn't really notice the difference.

Lol if your losing to current nurse more than rarely I'm afraid to say that's a you issue
There is a certain logic to it. The harder she is to play, the more likely it is that only the very top-tier of Nurse players will play her, and so the more likely you are to encounter a good one.

I'm also Spanish, and while I don't care for representation, it's always cool to see it done right in media. Nothing beaten over the head/or pandering like Jane. Loved seeing stuff like Reapers mariachi skin in OW, it's just cool. Something better than Jane though lol, sorry to any Jane fans, just really not fond of her. Kinda sucks how shes the only hispanic rep.
So you don't want pandering or beating you over the head, but you like a skin that's deeply associated with Mexican culture and exists only to pander, as opposed to a character who's not defined by her heritage?

Agree. I'm probably one of the only people that's a fan of Dark Sense though, lol.
I like it too. Very underrated perk. Been using it since launch.
-
Nah. People are too biased for that, most survivor mains would just vote for skins they think would be advantageous for them.
@Cheers said:
I think they should pick a select few, such as 50 or 100 people on forums that developers feel aren't biased. If everyone had access that could lead to bribery, even if someone art was good enough to make it into the last 10.
It'd be far easier to bribe a significant portion of 50-100 people than a significant portion of all the voters, just saying.

OP Was Wrong,it was Better if He said that the Character Looks Different,Cause,It Doesnt Look Worse,It Looks Different,We are talking a bout a Game From 2003 That was going for Photorrealistic Image,And Here 2020 Dead by daylight it's Realistic and a little Cartoon,Imo,the Character Looks Decent i think,i wouldnt Say Worse,Just Different,Does Anyone Remember That There isnt Only One Heather/Cheryl?,There's,Silent Hill Shattered Memories Cheryl,And The Movies Cheryl,Maybe She is a Mix,That Wont be Crazy Since,They Put a Map from Silent hill 1,Enemy From 2 And Character From 3
I can't tell where sentences begin and end if you don't write correctly. To be clear, I could, but I'm not going to expend the effort. Stop typing with random capital letters everywhere. If it's not an acronym, the beginning of a sentence, a proper noun (like the names of individuals), or the word "I", then it shouldn't be capitalized.
-
Either:
- Constantly saying "GG" (not "GGEZ" or anything like that)
- I ignore and report them and let the mods do their thing
-
It's about the same distance as running 4 seconds in a straight line as a survivor. Try it, use a landmark of some sort to see the distance.

I know you were hoping that this would save your hide, but even after seeing what Heather looks like outside from pre-rendered cinematics, DBD’s in-game model STILL looks worse than the in-game model from almost two decades ago.
Bruh moment.
Peanits was literally just telling the truth and correcting OP's disingenuous claim. And if you think the in-game model actually looks worse in DbD than it did in SH3, then I don't know what to tell you. I wouldn't be able to play SH3 on a screen larger than a portable TV due to how ######### those graphics look compared to nowadays.

Yeah, but lets be honest here. BeHaviour and saving gamedata for every report they are recieving? They dont even have stable dedicated servers yet.
They do save game data for every report they receive. If you don't even think the report system works, why are you so worried about being banned, anyway?
I've yet to see a game that has completely stable servers. DbD's are more than enough 99% of the time.
-
@Rydog said:
Any reasonable reporting system should not be incumbent on the players to do all the heavy lifting. If I report someone, it should send a full chat log and whatever data it is that enables the community mods to reconstruct/view the match using whatever internal replay tools they're using.
Which it does, but some things can't be inferred by that kind of data alone, unless you're willing to pay a lot of money to have the servers be able to record every single trial from every single player's PoV and a bunch more salaries for those who have to watch those videos.
Since I'm guessing you're not, that's why the devs specify which things need video evidence.

The chances of me encountering them again are too tiny, and the chances of other people thinking I'm the toxic one when I finally do encounter someone and reporting me for that are far to great.
And how will they know if you reported anyone? The chat doesn't display a message saying this person reported that person.

The wiki isn't accurate, its definitely not based off the games code.
Except it is and it is. Every article might not always be up to date, but that's because most of the editing is done by one person, while everyone else sits around falsely criticizing them.
-
Not rank 12-20, but I would sure appreciate it if survivors were to show me the same sportsmanship when I play killer that killers do when I play survivor.
-
I usually go work on a gen and stealth the killer when they come check on it. However, if I see a totem, that totem's the priority.
-
Always report ######### like this. There's no downside to it. It's not like the mods are going to see if everyone else reported a player for the same thing and only take action then, that's not how it works.
EDIT: And never listen to anyone who tells you not to report "because it won't do anything". Those are the same people who'd tell you not to vote "because it won't matter". If neither thing mattered, people wouldn't be getting banned and policies wouldn't change.
-
@Cheers said:
The wiki is inaccurate, please don't take figures from this site.
So the literal game code that dictates how things work is inaccurate?

Being good at hiding doesn't make you good at the game. At all. You're basically the exact opposite of the kind of person people want on their team and the exact type of person that causes people to just kill themselves on hook. Because you're useless. But at least you hide gud. But you're not going to hide gud if a killer has Whispers and wants to find you, and I hope they make sure you die for being an immersed gamer.
I'm immersed and I make it out alive 8 times out of 10 while pipping 9 times out of 10. I regularly double pip (sometimes I'm one or two points shy of a double pip) and rarely depip. I complete gens, perform safe unhooks, heals, destroy totems, open exits.
Maybe the problem isn't immersed players. Maybe the problem is you.
On-topic: I had a survivor be mad at me for not rescuing him from a Huntress that I could see with Kindred while I was on the other side of the map. He wouldn't let me heal him afterward and went to the trouble of searching a chest to get a medkit just so he could heal (all while I was right there, mind).
We ended up surrendering to the killer, who let us go, and the survivor actually said everyone else was a ######### teammate and that I should've unhooked him anyway. It's bonkers.

Well I mean who am I to argue with Google? The only two I've ever seen was George Romero, and Cesar Romero, one of which is definitely Hispanic,so yeah. Like I said her mother's name threw me off. I'm also not sure why they paired her with a killer like that. Not saying they all make sense, but yeah, that's my mistake.
The source is actually the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (National Institute of Statistics).

If you have questions about how a particular killer works, the best way to learn is to play them. The second best is to read the wiki: deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com

Well,I mean I guess I can see that sorta. Just with a mother named Loretta Lawrence,I would assume otherwise, but it could be a stage name,or like I said maybe she's of mixed race. Neither Jane nor Romero sounds particularly Hispanic to me. Of course I have an super common American first name and a super Hispanic last name.
Jane is fairly nondescript, but Romero is definitely Hispanic. According to Wikipedia, about 0,43% of Spanish people have that surname and it's the 20th most common.

Yes, Park is an Asian surname; specifically, Korean.

Is she though? Her mother's name threw me off I guess? Maybe she's of mixed race because it talks more about her mother than her father. It'd be nice if it was more obvious then,I suppose. Most of them aren't as vague,Zarina,Yui,Feng, etc. Those are more identifiable. If she's Hispanic that's cool though. And both of those would be awesome, and pretty much what I was thinking lol.
How to know if Jane Romero is Hispanic:
- Look at her name.
- Look at her face.
- Google "Hispanic surnames".
- Google "Hispanic woman".

@Orion all your doing is being one sided. This isn’t an argument it’s a discussion. And your quick to just point one way and that’s it. So tell me then why is it that survivors get a brief lag when going off a roof or vaulting over a ledge, if you don’t have balance landing. And the killer can just run without penalty
Sure, right after you address what I said first.

Because there are a lot of jerks that play this game that do not care how frustrating or miserable they make the game for other players.
I only watched this last night on Haddonfield where a Steve ran in to unhook a meg the second Ghostface put her on the hook. He didn’t even have borrowed time.
I messaged the Steve asking why. He said he didn’t care he was just farming. It also annoyed me that this Ghostface didn’t punish Steve for this. Now that player will continue to unsafe save because there aren’t consequences.
When I try to punish those people, they end up getting unhooked themselves and then have DS or BT applied to them, because other survivors didn't see the farming.

The fact that you said that shows you have no idea what you're talking about.

Implying people wouldn't contribute out of sheer desire to do so if their basic needs were met. Ever hear of 99% of the modding community?

I'm with you on fixing unintentional bugs in general since they usually make things worse, but in this instance... where is the harm?
- if a survivor gets cornered by the Executioner (Pyramid Head) it's a guaranteed instant down
- If the survivor is Vaulting an object while The Executioner is literally touching them and his power is active, it's an instant down.
- If the survivor is being chased in the open by The Executioner who has his power active while touching them, and they don't pull a 90 degree turn or 180/360 at the moment he strikes, it's an instant down, However if they do evade, he gets 4 seconds of slowdown giving them 16 meters of distance from him. (4 seconds x 4 meters per second = 16 meters).
So, while it is an unintentional bug, how much more powerful does this make him compared to other killers in the roster? Is it a game breaking bug? Does it give him unequaled or an Over Powered advantage over his opponents? Or does it put him more in line with killers that already exist in the game?
I'm all for squashing bugs, but this feels more like a "Happy little accident" - Bob Ross, comparatively.
I'm looking at it from a programming perspective, not talking about balance at all. The harm is in having a piece of code that isn't doing what you want for an unknown reason, and is therefore unpredictable. It's like having a robot that's supposed to get you a glass of water when you ask it, but instead it crosses the street. Sure, there's no harm being done, but maybe when you ask it for a glass of juice it'll beat up your grandma instead.

Yes it's not intentional, but does that originating rationale make it worth removing? Fact is that yes, it is a bug, but BHVR have had bugs before that actually made thing better (i.e. the Shape example). Honestly I don't see the harm in this particular bug, or why it actually should be removed because of the nature of how difficult it is to pull off.
Yes, fixing bugs is a good thing. If it's not intentional, it can't be changed intentionally. It might break something (or be broken when something changes).
-
If stealth works for you but looping doesn't, you've two choices:
- Work on stealth (run stealth builds, try not to be seen, etc.)
- Get better at looping (watch video tutorials, look up looping builds, etc.)
I'm rank 7 right now (I'm assuming that's what you mean by "level") and escape and/or pip a majority of the time by running stealth builds. I think the only time I depipped in the last few weeks was against a camping Cannibal with Insidious.

So if I were to go on a murder spree because my BF dumped me, you'd defend me by saying I was "venting anger"? Or are you willing to admit that maybe there's a limit to what can be reasonably justified by "venting anger"?
