I don't think it is fair use a mori, as eliminating a survivor, even just one will mostly likely lead the survivors to losing, if the killer is good. I usually don't use a mori unless I have a daily. I usually only mori on the last hook.
Did you actually just say that moris aren't fair because they lead to a survivor loss?

They're fair as they are.

I'm a survivor main. Next deflection attempt, please. Make it a good one this time.

1.) That "less disconnects" statistic I guarantee includes Killers, because that's how they look at their "statistics" and
2.) I used to see DCs in 4/5 of my games, and hook suicides were once in a while. I never see DCs now, but I see hook suicide EVERY GAME, as both survivor and killer. After we saw how they handled their first round of published statistics, I'm amazed anyone believes anything they say anymore.
I saw one DC since I got back to DbD and practically no hook suicides. Now what?

It's annoying, but unless you're playing a killer that can be "everywhere", it's not really worth the slot.

I took these videos. It happened in my game.
- Not sure what you mean
- Lagswitching affects as you clearly saw right now. And it is bannable.
- I am hitting the air to check what I can do, I tried to open a locker and drop the survivor and I couldn't. Because of lagswitching it's not a bug.
- Radeon Live sucks and cuts the audio a tthe end. No streaming
- That was just an example.
- You pretty much answered why would survivor lagswitch.
- I meant you don't know when someone looks at your reports. There's nothing to indicate that they did or didn't.
- I didn't see anything that indicated lagswitching, just clips of a killer unable to hook a survivor. That's an old bug that appears to have resurfaced.
- I've encountered this before as a survivor, where I was unable to wiggle and the killer was unable to hook me. It's a bug.
- Alright.
- A bad one. Monto should know better. Besides, according to what you said in 2 and 3, this would be Monto lagswitching, right? Why would he record himself lagswitching?
- Survivors would lagswitch so they can't wiggle free? That makes no sense. Might as well lagswitch as a killer so you can't catch survivors.

I 'pretend' to AFK with NOED, Rancor and Bloodwarden to get kills.
Survivors will get gens done, open the door and come play with the AFK killer. Once Endgame passes half way, I insta down with either NOED, or Rancor if they did totems. I get the hook and now they are trapped until Endgame will kill them.
This is why I follow a very simple rule: if you can leave, then leave.

You do know things happen even when you're not looking, right? Bans aren't public knowledge, so I'm wondering how you know that "it literally does nothing".
Also, camping is not bannable.

Reporting system in this game does literally nothing.
Funny how people say that about every reporting system everywhere and then end up not reporting anyone, meaning nobody gets banned. It's almost like it's a self-fulfilling promise or something.

Well seeing as all of the "few truly powerful" add-ons that survivors had were all reasonably nerfed because they tipped the balance too far into the favour of the survivors, surely the same should be done to moris along with keys. It's all very well and good having strong items in a game but keeping a game fun for everyone should be the devs' main priority. Currently, moris and keys are both extremely unfun to play against due to the fact that they allow one side to circumvent the majority of their objective, giving them wins that they may not have otherwise deserved with little to no viable counterplay for either side.
I only have an issue with keys spawning in chests. Other than that, as a survivor main, I'm perfectly fine with both those things. Moris have awesome and brutal animations, for the most part, and make playing survivor actually tense by reducing the margin for error.
-
Why shouldn't it? A DC's a DC.

Have you tried playing as survivor atm? It takes at least 5 minutes to find a match and that's on a good day.
The solution, therefore, doesn't involve giving killers more reasons for quitting. For example, by nerfing one of the few truly powerful things killers have.
-
Not Peanits, but...
- You can't know when someone looks at them. You don't receive any notification.
- Lagswitching doesn't affect you now that there are dedicated servers. Anyone lagswitching would just ######### themselves over.
- The videos look like they're showing a bug, not someone hacking. The killers are clearly trying to hook the survivor, judging by how they get locked in front of the hook, the fact that the progress bar disappears, and the fact that the first killer is hitting the air in the basement seemingly out of frustration.
- The videos' audio suspiciously cuts out shortly after it starts. I'm guessing those killers were streaming, which makes it more suspicious you cut out the audio. Were they complaining about the fact that they couldn't hook you?
- Monto can't recognize a bug when he sees one, apparently, so he blames the killer for cheating. Either that or he blames the killer for cheating because facing a cheater is "more entertaining" than just being ######### over by a bug.
- Why would a killer cheat in a way that doesn't let survivors wiggle, but then also fail to hook those very same survivors? That's just stupid.
In conclusion, that's a bug. Should've sent in a bug report instead of a hacking report.
EDIT: Didn't realize both videos are actually from the killers' perspectives. Edited to correct that mistake.

No it's the fact you get punished for playing with ######### teammates, or being locked into a ######### situation.
Killer stops you from being able to finish the game and refuses to kill you: You get punished because you are forced to dc.
Don't tell me you ACTUALLY enjoy being punished after you are forced to dc.

You can interpret that statement as "I know I've definitely faced a hacker 'x' amount of times". Personally, I once encountered a Hillbilly who, despite not having any sort of aura-reading perk besides BBQ, was somehow able to match my EXACT movements when I moved left and right between two rooms after he'd hooked a friend of mine.
I was very close to the hook (within the terror radius), yet this Hillbilly somehow managed to move left and right with me while I saw him with Kindred, behind a wall. Quite curious, if you ask me.

Pretty much. Many survivors seem to think killers are mind-readers who're out to ruin their individual trials, when the fact is, killers (generally) couldn't care less. Killers aren't trying to ruin your trials because they honestly just don't give a ######### about you. They give you no more thought than you would a bacterium in your drinking water. In short, it's not about you. Survivors need to get over themselves. The same goes for killers who think survivors repairing generators are out to ruin their trials.

you make a valid point Orion, but it still doesn’t mean it isn’t annoying to just be one hooked and de pip because of it. And after looking at multiple other forums about this same subject I see that it’s a huge split of the community. Again I don’t care about tunneling that much it sucks but there’s ways to avoid it it’s just Uber annoy and dumb founded concept have some go into game and decide I’m going to ruin this person and my own experience of play this game. Because face camping is literally the equivalent to watching paint dry (and this might not be know but this is more warranted at people who 5 gen face camp people).
Losing because you ######### up isn't fun, no. Killers also don't like to be stunned or blinded, but you don't hear them complain nearly as much as survivors complain about being camped.
My recommendation to those who don't like to lose even when they ######### up is to play single-player games. I'm quite enjoying Stardew Valley myself.

@crowscythe13 said:
Insidious was made in the old days where you had to camp because survivors didn’t die on hook after three hooks and where hit boxes were weird. This is modern day a insidious needs a rework and camping should be harder punish because legit if you are found and down early you de pip and don’t get a chance to play. Literally defending camping is just a way of say I’m bad at the game. Just cause the devs say something doesn’t mean it’s right to keep it. It is literally stopping a person or multiple people from playing the game and it’s not healthy for the game.
Survivors have always died after three hooks in the live build.
Camping is fine, as long as you go work on the generators. It's a self-defeating strategy. Problem is, survivors haven't yet grasped that they're not supposed to be able to walk all over the killer. They want to unhook, despite the killer being there, so camping must go because it prevents them from doing what they want.
-
OK?
-
Define "camping" and "tunneling", for the sake of science.
-
Keys shouldn't be found in chests. Everything else about how these things work is fine.

What if someone else is waiting for the same, as soon as you give hatch they’ll pay it forward to the next outmatched killer?
Not saying you have to give anyone hatch or free hooks/kills but for me it comes to weighing the results. If I give someone hatch or let the killer hook me I lose 5k points, maybe I Black pip instead of pipping up.
But for that poor rank 19 killer/survivor this may be what turns a horrible tanking session into a bearable one and make them wanna give it one more day to get better. I prefer to try to grow the community because for all of its faults DBD has great potential and had given me lots of entertainment
I see killers give hatches all the time. I've yet to see survivors (other than myself) give kills with my own eyes (just claims of such and one screenshot).
-
Moris are cool, the only issue with keys is that they can be found in chests during trials. Neither should see their use restricted or be nerfed into the ground.

Greed is a bottomless pit. If they can find a way to be cheap while raking in tons of cash, companies will do it. I remember Google going around to big cities installing fiber, trying to force companies to provide better internet... If I remember correctly, that had middling success, at best. I've watched DbD streamers in America have problems during their streams where their providers start throttling their bandwidth. They pay to upgrade their service and still get throttled and given the run around about "We don't think that's on our end. Are you sure it's not you?"
That's another discussion, though, I guess. Still, long story short, customers can pay for the best available and, through no fault of their own and with no recourse, still have terrible connections.
I'm not from the USA. Can I still complain about people with poor Internet connections not respecting their hardware's limitations and making us suffer for it?

Do you not realize that their are families out in the world who Aren’t as wealthy. And yet your here saying they should get better internet?.You are just an ignorant person that needs to grow some balls and grow up.
Then they should stick to things that work for them. I don't go complaining to developers of VR-only games that I can't afford a VR set and therefore they should completely overhaul the game to suit my particular specs and wallet, and I doubt you'd agree to someone trying to do that. A stable Internet connection is just as much of a requirement as any piece of hardware when it comes to online gaming.

It's like @Bovinity said, most people don't want to face difficult opponents, they want to be told they faced difficult opponents and came out on top.

You don't understand that the second chance perks can be intentionally used by Survivors. Someone with Decisive/Unbreakable/BT/Dead Hard will sometimes intentionally throw themselves at the Killer to buy time for their teammate.
The Killer is making a mistake if they target someone with second chance perks. Because usually that Survivor is intentionally trying to make them affected by their perks. Whether or not its balanced is up for debate. But that's not really the point, the point is that the Killer is making misplay. Yeah jumping in a locker with Decisive has no counterplay, but for the Killer to get in that scenario they made mistakes earlier on that got them there.
The killer can't know that survivors have second chance perks until survivors get their second chances, which they only get because they made mistakes (by definition, that's what second chance perks are, a second chance after you ######### up). It's not a mistake to act based on the information you have.

I don't understand the nature of moring TTV's. What harm did they ever cause you?
I don't do that, but, personally, I feel annoyed at having ads in my game (which is what their URL names are) and having my time go toward content that they often make money from without compensation.
Would you like someone to shove an ad in your face and then make money by recording you without your permission while demanding that the rules be bent in their favor because they have a camera?
EDIT: I don't approve of their behavior, but I can understand why they wouldn't like streamers in their games.

She also has the advantage of sound (especially when most spirits use Stridor) to locate survivors. Where as, survivors really have no tell of where she could be. There was that myth that as she phases, the grass moves where she moves, but that was proven false.
Yes, players usually take perks to either counter some of the negative aspects of killers' powers or further enhance them. That's the whole purpose of builds.
I'm aware of the myth, I used to believe it myself until I tried it out.
-
@McLightning said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1316665#Comment_1316665
This exactly. Survivor-sided no-counterplay situations are literally never the result of the killer being outplayed or the killer making a mistake. It's the exact opposite 90% of the time when the tables are turned. If the survivor is in a situation where they have no counterplay, it was completely their fault. They made a wrong move. Even, they still have things like DS and BT to get them out of it.
Granted, I will agree with the spirit thing. There really is no solid counterplay to her IMO. Guessing isn't a counterplay.
I wouldn't say "never" because I'm sure I forgot to take into account some scenarios, so let's go with "almost never".
As for Spirit, both sides are guessing. She can't see you, remember?
-
If you're not cheating, don't worry about them. The fact that they accuse you is because they're salty they lost and can't accept you're just a better player than they are. Take it as a point of pride - you're so good they literally don't believe it's possible.
-
@gatsby said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1316644#Comment_1316644
Very true. I play both sides and there's a whole host of things that needs to be changed not just a couple.
Difference is, the survivor scenarios that have no counterplay are not the result of killer mistakes. A combination of open windows, a combination of perks, going into a locker with DS, stuff like that has absolutely nothing to do with the killers' actions.
Getting caught in a dead-end, trying to loop killers designed to counter looping, not having your eyes open when facing stealth killers, those are all survivor mistakes that result in scenarios without any counterplay.

Hahahha, imagine a game in 2020 taking an official stance that resolution, FOV, and/or anti-aliasing are cheating. 🤣
They need to overhaul their settings menu and make these things into game options like every normal game that exists.
DbD relies on people not being able to control some visual settings, like FOV. It's balanced around that expectation.

I meant they have scenarios with their power that have no counterplay. Try running some loops against them Freddy or Deathslinger. They'll get you without mindgaming you even once just by brute forcing with their power
Survivors also have scenarios that have no counterplay.
-
@gatsby said:

They want interaction. Most Killers things at get complained about feel like there's no counterplay.
Examples are like Spirit, Deathslinger and Freddy. The Survivor could play as well as possible and still lose simply because of the Killer's power mechanics not being outplayed.
The only issue I see with those killers is that Freddy passively puts people to sleep without any way to stop or slow it down. Other than that, it's purely about skill.
-
Except when killers chase survivors, they're accused of "tunneling". Which is it, do survivors want to be chased or not?

Do you think a bunch of strong killers are gonna stop running Discordance and STBFL for Deathbound? I agree that it DOES sound like a pretty strong combo with Nurse's Calling, but I also get the sense that survivors can plan to get chased and effectively learn t play around it.
Deathbound isn't even comparable to A Nurse's Calling. One tells you where the survivors were when they fully healed, the other shows survivors healing. Big difference.

No, it doesn't.
-
Dark Sense, yes. Bitter Murmur, not so much. I don't need aura reading to know where the survivors are - they're at the generator. Killer aura reading is usually very lackluster compared to the survivor versions.
-
- Have "unsafe" mean that a survivor was hit by the killer shortly after being unhooked. No more using BT to pretend it was a safe unhook.
- Injure the unhooker when the unhooked survivor is unsafely unhooked. If the unhooked was already injured, put 'em in the dying state.
This would virtually eliminate unsafe unhooks. As a bonus, it'd also make survivors stop trying to unhook when killers are camping, so they'd use the actual counter (working on gens) and we'd see a decrease in camping as well.
