I wouldn't be surprised if BHVR does the Ash thing again 🗿

Here they are.
An insanely good buff to Renjiros, interesting.
Unfortunately no change to the other addons :(

Scalped Topknot was nerfed. It takes off 0.5 seconds from Demon Dash charge (it used to take off 1 second).
What about his iri addons + Polished Maedate (yellow) and Shattered Wakizashi (green) ?

@Steel_Eyed said:
Just expected Top Knot to get nerfed. His addon sets as a whole are great. Except Top Knot. And like the Iri Family Seal.
Passive power regen addons were absolutely awful aswell

Way too many broken addons were left unchanged.
This is what we call a BHVR balancing moment

whats the deal with people not wanting to hold a button, i have seen this in a lot of other games up to the point of people wanting stuff such as running to be automatic.
anyway i just remembered that you dont have to spam space for struggle anymore and im sad.
-It's a very basic accessibility option
-It prevents unnecessary damage to controllers/keyboards
-
At least give us a damn toggle option 😡

Commodious with scraps and spool is 52 charges
With streetwise it means 52/0.75 is about 69 (nice) effective charges
At 50% increased repair speed you save about 34,5 seconds
Build to last first refill saves you 22,5 seconds 34'5 seconds minus the 12 spend in a locker
Second refill is about 46 effective charges so 23 minus the 12 seconds in a locker is 11 seconds
Third refill is 22 effective charges so 11 seconda minus the 12 in a locker you actually lose a second
So Build to last if you only recharge 2 times bassically doubles the time you save with a this superdecked toolbox.
It is worth nothing that anything less then fully decked commodious with streetwise is not nearly going to be this effective.
But assuming my math isn't straight up wrong this is how it would be i think
There's also the amount of time you spend going to the actual locker and going in and out of it,which means that it's not gonna be efficient to use this strategy as long as the gen isn't right next to a locker.

well she's balanced until 4 survivors bring medkits. Then you're really getting it in the endgame chat
One thing MMR ruined for me 😔
Always loved switching to Plague when i saw 3+ medkits

This with Fragile Wheeze is going to be so good lol. I have like 100 Torn Bookmarks so I might as well use them.
They will 100% nerf/change her recharge (and range) addons.
-
It's gonna be a must have perk in solo queue imo (and even in SWF because you probably won't call out anything other than shack pallet)
-
I don't really see it being problematic with toolboxes because you'll spend 12+ seconds to activate, which should pretty much kill it for people that tried to really genrush with it
-
Thanks
I already assumed it would work like that but i wasn't sure ❤👹
-
-So the Deathslinger terror radius change and the increased cooldown after canceling your ADS seems reasonable to me.I don't like the change that you need to be in full ADS before being able to shoot.Getting rid of quick scoping would be a HUGE nerf to Deathslinger
-The Plague changes are great,no complaints
-Most perk changes seem really good, except Mindbreaker. It absolutely didn't need additional Blindness status effect. An increase of the exhaustion debuff to at least 10 or 15 seconds should have been the right choice
-I'm still worried how Boon totems will work out
-Hatch changes seem really good.Don't know why it took that long but i'm happy that's happening regardless.I hope we'll see some key changes + their addons to make them more useful in a different way now
All in all an extremely interesting update.Yes,some changes are questionable but i would prefer every big update to be like this in order to keep things more fresh and exciting
-
Can someone explain the Built To Last Buff to me?
I'm not exactly sure how it's supposed to work now.
-
I guess in about an hour or so

The Zombies get caught on collision and just kind of stand there until you DeShawn them. I am keeping that autocorrect.
Hmm,i would say that's less of a bug but more of a poor AI problem.
This definetely needs to get fixed, but at least his main power works and isn't bugged or inconsistent like Nurses or Blight power.

On one hand, I agree. On the other, he is technically bugged and as far as I know, they haven't addressed that they are aware of the issue or have any intention of fixing it. It is highly suspect and honestly, in the future, laws will catch up with this kind of unethical behavior whether people like it or not.
Luckily for them, nobody really cares about consumer protections in Murica.
In which way is Nemesis bugged right now?

Pretty sure that's why the PTB exists. If I recall correctly, Ash didn't have a PTB, and therefore the devs didn't receive feedback regarding the first iteration of MoM.
Tbf,everyone with at least like 10 hours into the game would have known how dumb amd gamebreaking OG Mettle of Mans design was.
Not their first time to release a questionable update.
@ Topic
Maybe let's wait until tomorrow before we start complaining. We won't know how things will work out before then anyway

Can someone share his experience how was last Halloween?
It was anything but an event tbh.Easily the worst one we ever had so far.
They promised they would focus more on the anniversary and halloween events after the complete failure last year but seeing how much "effort" they put in the anniversary this year (copy&paste from the 4th anniversary) i'm not expecting anything from BHVR at this point.

I told in my post it's combination of both latency and hitboxes. Idk why you guys triyng to correct me even if im not wrong. It's problem of both because look at deathslinger. Same latency. Tiny hitbox. You rarely see anyone complaining about DS bullshit hits
I've seen plenty questionable Deathslinger hits (especially around corners) and misses (harpoon goes right through the survivor).
Also, you can't exactly compare both of them because Huntress has a rather long wind up to reach full speed + is losing distance in the process while Deathslinger has pretty much no windup and immediately shots his harüoon at full speed
-
@SunderMun said:
While we're at it, activation parameters need to be changed for her traps and they need to not change the survivor's camera.
Nah,the camera flick is a pretty important part to Hags kit.It rewards her for good trap placement and has counterplay as long as you know where the trap is

Indeed.
They did actually fix her beachball sized hitboxes at one point and made it more accurate to the hatchet's model, but all the 3000+ hour Huntress sweatlords suddenly found it way more difficult to hit anything, and their complaining got the fix promptly reverted.
That hit isn't even bad considering how the hitbox of the survivor is slightly behind them while injured + latency and bad servers make hatchet hits look so questionable.
The hitbox may not be perfect but it isn't as bad as people claim.
-
He's very likely to get a pass some time in the future.
There are only so many changes they can do in one single update
-
I was just reading this post, thought "Damn,i'm glad i almost never play against hackers".

The problem is, even with a bigger hitbox they can still Dead Hard through it, and pretty much trap the killer.
Damn,Dead Hard is gonna destroy this addon.
Dead Hard through the trap and Trapper can't pick it up

Renjiro is a really fun add-on, IMO. The Iri Crest is complete garbage though.
Meh,Renjiro pretty much turned you into a M1 killer with some wallhacks here and there.
I'd rather play scratched mirror myers instead
-
Couldn't care less, that addon was stupid anyway.
I'm more excited about the buff we'll probably see for his Iridescent addons and the 2 passive power regen addons :>
-
I would suggest to wait for the PTB and actually see for yourself as to how it's gonna turn out instead of instantly claiming that Spirit will be dead.

I understand your point and don't necessarily think that you're wrong, you have a valid opinion. But if they massively overhauled a bunch of perks, do you not feel that within a little while people would make meta builds out of THOSE perks and the problem would just repeat itself?
But as I said though, you're not wrong. There are what, 150 perks in this game? More? Yet you only ever see the same 20 or 30. I feel that we can use more things like "faster running" (for both sides) and less things like "sit in a terror radius for a straight minute so you can throw a distraction pebble".

Well,it's obvious that there will ALWAYS be some kind of META going around no matter how much you change things up.
The big difference would be that we could finally see some kind of change to the META that has changed so little throughout the years

Precarious.
The dev team seems rudderless. SBMM launched, but at the same time we have blatantly uncompetitive maps/mechanics/add ons/items/overtuned perks. They're taking a one size fits all approach, and the issue is one size fits all typically means one size fits no one.
They launched a battle pass and they're cranking out cosmetics like never before. At the same time, the quality control is egregious. Blatantly unprofessional with what they allow to ship.
They seem quite complacent, and they have no room to be. All it takes is one viable competitor.
I feel like BHVR seems so incredibly confident that no one will be able to rival their game to the point that they don't care about the quality of the product they present to us.
They don't even bother to deliver the bare minimum.Screw up all the time and aren't showing any signs that this will change anytime soon.
If anything will kill DbD,it's gonna be BHVRs overconfidence
-

Stable but stale.
Things change so slow. I would love to see a patch that gives a mayor overhaul/buff to like 60 perks.
I wouldn't even mind if 10 of them are grossly op and need to be tweeked down a couple of months later.
I just want a bit of chaos in the game. That i can accurately predict what my opponents build is makes it hard to enjoy long sessions of this game.
It's a real shame that a game with so much variaty feels so often the same
Agreed.
I'm tired of BHVR not focusing enough on balance changes. The meta hasn't exactly changed since years.
You pretty much always see the same few perks every single game to the point that gameplay starts to feel super stale.
They play it way too safe

Worst part is when they announced they were reworking Billy, no one asked for it. Seriously nobody on the forums was screaming "Billy OP, Plz Nerf!". Billy was one of the more balanced killers at the time. What gave BHVR the idea to change him?
I guess we'll never know.
It's the BHVR way of balancing, either great changes or awful ones
-
Never thought i could see all these words in a sentence like that :O
-
The overheat mechanic might no affect you if you only go for backrevs and use the saw for mobility.
However,if you actually want to mindgame with your it and curve around loops, then you'll definetely notice how much overheat affects you.
His rework just made him less fun to play
-
@glitchboi said:
Honestly all the nerf did was make him even more boring to play as. I don't think slowing Freddy down while placing snares was a necessary change. The only fun thing about him atm is his Dream Projection.
I'm fine with his slowdown add-ons getting removed but holy his new add-ons are an absolute trainwreck. To compensate for these nerfs, they should give him better add-ons.
I miss a certain Freddy... before his rework happened.
I hate his addon rework.Freddy was so creative when it comes to the movies, but the DbD version really doesn't do him justice.
He needs more interesting gameplay + addons that could encourage some more different playstyles
-
@Phasmamain said:

Yeah his snares really feel useless right now to a point where I genuinely do better with clown and it could be up for debate that clown is better
The only big thing Freddy has going for him is his teleport, but other than that Freddy is pretty underwhelming right now imo
-
@GeneralV said:
I second what everyone else has said in here.
Freddy tells a very sad tale. He started as the most unique killer in the game, whose power had a borderline perfect design...Only to be undeservedly nerfed after a week.
Then we get to the Old Freddy that most of us remember, who I dare say was the most underrated killer in Dead by Daylight's history. And eventually he got reworked and became this boring abomination that we all know.
Not to mention his most recent nerf, which failed to address the main issue.
What else is needed for the devs to understand that we need Old Freddy back?
Ah, if only DBD belonged to me...His on-release version would have returned by now.
BHVR is really a hit or miss when it comes to balance changes right?
Either amazing (e.g Leatherface and Doctor reworks) or absolutely awful (e.g Freddy and Hillbilly)
-
My problem with Freddy is that he's such a bland killer right now.
His skill ceiling doesn't exist, there aren't any cool tricks and techs you can do with him. There's just nothing you can really learn about him while playing.
Not too strong not too weak, just mediocre.
Addons are awful aswell for the most part.
They need to do something again to change him imo
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
Mmr made survivor more fun

Hot take: Freddy is now one of the worst killers in the game.

for me to be affected by the gen slowdown meta i must actually do generators therefore i have tricked the system by making them waste all their perks ggez
Don't worry, there's enough tunneling, camping and slugging too for you to enjoy ;)
(It's alright for killers to use these tactics, doesn't mean that i'll enjoy it though)
-
Survivors isn't any better.
I like to play with friends (we played this game for a pretty long time, but are still pretty average tbh) and now we either get super meta killers with like 4 slowdowns and strong addons or some poor inexperienced killers that barely get some hooks at all.
It's awful and the reason why i'm starting to play lot ess than i used to.
The game felt a lot more relaxed before MMR.
-
@Angelicus23 said:
that would mean nerfing Blood Echo and mindbreaker
Pretty much nobody is using these perks anyway (maybe Blood Echo on Plague,Legion and Mindbreaker on stealth killers).
In my opinion those 2 perks should be buffed. Both of them are supposed to counter exhaustion perks but are doing a pretty underwhelming job at it.
-
*Nurse basekit is less forgivable
-
Trickster is in an alright postion, strength wise. He's not extremely amazing but not absolutely terrible either...
Except on console.
Trickster is the worst killer on console imo.The kind of aiming that is required to play this killer just isn't possible on console. We lack proper controller settings to adjust deadzones etc.
BHVR desperately needs to add actually decent controller settings to improve the killer gameplay experience on controller
-
1) People really think now they are in somekind of tournament that they HAVE to win.I've seen so much more tournament wannabes with MMR on both sides while trying to play chill which complete killed my mood to play
2) Old system was definetely less awful imo
3) Playing on both sides feels awful most of the time
-
Way less, getting these games where every side is stacking as much BS as humanly possible just kills my mood to play to be honest.
P.S: Dear Blight players, yes there are actually more addons than Alchemist Ring
