Yeah I've actually experienced this bug a few games ago. I couldn't use my flashlight, every time I used it Dwight pointed to the floor no matter what. Dwight mains got nerfed 😭.
This is a really sad day for us Dwight mains, I had like 3 flashlight saves but Dwight was aiming at the floor, I even played against a TTV player and on the VOD, he said that I can't even aim at the face of a killer that is stuck on animation, felt bad.....
-
I got 50k
-
Not just that but the M2 attack seems to have a bigger cooldown if you hit/miss the attack, felt way better on the PTB, now PH feels slightly weaker than it was, also maybe this is a bug but when I put the trails I get the "killer instinct" notification thing but survivors don't get tormented

The frames are really that bad on console? Right now im playing on a $350, 3 years old laptop and i am playing with 30-35 fps with 0 res and low graphics.
I was thinking to get a ps4 or an xbox one since the new consoles are making their entrance in a few months, so this generation will cost less, but i think i am gonna buy a SH pc or something, for 300 bucks i will be able to play this game with 60+ fps, ultra graphics, 1080p.
Don't do it...... I changed to pc for fps reasons, a 360 will make your fps drop to like 10fps, when you get BL you just teleport a little bit, not really worth it unless you have friends you want to play with on console

@Mooks said:
Shouldn’t the graphical update come with an update of the graphics Engine which would/should be more optimized on the different platforms? (I am not sure sure about this and genuinely asking)
That update sounds like a good thing, consoles got promised steady fps but currently the game still runs low like 20? Maybe 25 with the occasional drops

I heavily disagree. You mistake me saying that Spinechill can give away the killer's exact location. That's not how good survivors use it. Let me give you an example:
A Survivor is repairing the shack gen and SC lights up. They hear no terror radius but know the killer is coming, but they obviously don't know where. They position themselves right next to the outer shack wall so no matter what angle the killer uses they'll be seen and safely avoided.
Even if the survivor is in a bad position, simply knowing that the killer is coming for you is often enough to save you from taking a hit if you're working on an unsafe gen.
I don't know why you mentioned being able to hear certain killers well. I never mentioned that. And yes, Spinechill is a good choice against M&A Deathslinger, and every stealth killer in the game, and every killer in the game. It's just too good.
I'll leave it to your opinion because everyone has theirs, I just don't believe it's as strong as you make it out to be.

Lmao just moonwalk to every gen ya ok bud.
Lmao then you are also here to ask for spine chill nerfs, you don't need to moonwalk to every gen, you can also crab walk just like how the op said, you can see (if you have eyes) if crows fly away, you can hear survivors breath as well if they are there

There's my point proven again.
Enduring and Spirit Fury is a 2 perk combo. It's powerful, but requires 2 pallets to be broken to activate and survivors can avoid it. Spinechill is a single perk that doesn't need any requirement to activate besides the killer looking in your direction.
I really don't know what survivors you've come across, but good ones know how to best abuse the knowledge it gives you and erase the word "Stealth" from any game. Particularly on open maps.
And running a perk to counter another perk that can only be countered by not looking where you're going is only further proof that Spinechill is just way too powerful on its own.
I don't think it's powerful as you make it out to be, let's say that you are playing Michael against 4 spine chill users, survivors can hear him easy now even without a TR, with spine chill they just know the killer is looking at them, it doesn't give the exact location, I don't know what kind of godly survivors you are playing against but from my 2k hours of experience I can say that there are a few things you can do to play against spine chill, you can hear ghostface as well, and for deathslinger is a life saver considering his chase music starts when he already hits you, it's a good counter (I hate deathslinger both using him and playing against him).
I know the best way to get out of T1 Myers is to get close and stalk but it's not like that with ghostface.
-

True, you can moonwalk or even crabwalk to try to get the drop on people if you think they're running it. But this only proves my point that the perk is way too strong.
If the killer is forced to adapt their movement just to counter a single perk, (at the cost of potentially missing survivors they don't see), then the perk should be nerfed or at the very least changed.
Even if they see the icon light up, you as a killer might have some LOS to them, if you think about it it's like enduring + spirit furi, survivors have to play against it .
I just don't think spine chill deserves a nerf, it isn't that good tbh and I was a pig main for a while, there are a few things that you can abuse, like most survivors that have it, won't loop as much unless spine chill + resilience, 6% isn't that much as well.
You can also run tracking perks like whispers if you think you missed someone.
-
Nope, spine chill can be played around, if you think someone is there just moonwalk, it also helps people with stealthy killers like wraith, deathslinger, pig and ghostface
-
Why would someone get mad at that perk? It sounds good on paper but it's kinda hard to use

Fair enough. How was the old rank reset better?
It helped newer players have less time queuing, real red rank experienced players so it felt good when outplaying someone, currently I see rank 20 plays on rank 1 survivors, disrespecting god pallet and stuff.
Just common stuff nowadays, just a few min ago, I saw someone dropping god pallet when I was nowhere close to it not even trying to stun me, I was about.....20m away? Maybe less but you get the point.
I've also seen red rank killers just pressing W and hoping for the win, no mind games no nothing, some killers I've played against tunnel the same person where an experienced killer would probably go for the easy down, like you as the killer try to apply pressure but people now don't get that it doesn't matter if the survivor is good or bad, a down is pressure.
-
I wish the old rank reset was still a thing, I've seen plenty of people in red ranks who should be green/brown ranks.
But since rank doesn't mean skill, then there is nothing wrong, the only bad part is for new players who have to wait for hours to get into a match
-
Currently I've been having less issues than before, the game is way more balanced and bad survivors are easier to down, currently the only maps I struggle to down people are haddonfield and ormond but any other map and I'm good to go.
The only problem that I've had is trying meme/fun builds and getting gen rushed, but still it is easier than before.
-
If they play fine no toxicity or anything I usually give them hatch but I just play a normal match and give them a follow on twitch because it's a rough world and that follow can help them grow on twitch
-
Pyramid Head and my least fav is doctor chase music, when it came out it was great but now it hurts my head the constant boom booom booom booom is annoying

I will be waiting for your 3k
Once I get 1k hours extra I will try to come back here lol
-
I'm an oni main, I hope I play him well lol
But my list is:
Oni, billy, demo, huntress, trapper, pig, legion, freddy (but almost everyone plays well with him), ghostface, doctor and spirit, these are the ones that I can say that I'm good with.
These are the ones I struggle but still use.
Nurse, wraith, plague, clown, hag, deathslinger, bubba, myers.
-
I ignore OoO, keep chasing the rest if playing with most killers and if I happen to be playing bubba I don't need to answer since it's self explanatory what I would do.
I only camp if I see an OoO, I don't camp on normal games, not even when the survivors are toxic.
-
My name comes from a game and an anime, Old Hunter is from Bloodborne which currently is my all time favorite game, and Light comes from Deathnote, been using that name for like 10 years (because my irl friends say that I overthink stuff) and well I just added both and liked it a lot.
-
Yes, I wouldn't have sunk over 2k hours on a game I don't like, all dlcs on 2 platforms and well the game on both ps4 and pc
-
My personal fav is a quite common one for the legion, ruin, thana, bbq and enduring.
The only problem is that ruin is a hex totem, so it's really risky at the same time.

you are very wrong indeed, steve and nancy are perfect together. 😎
After she broke my boy Steve at the party, please no we don't want him to suffer anymore, she blamed Steve for Barb when in reality she could've just left with her, she did the butterfly effect, could've said no to sex after the pool party but decided to stay and leave her alone and then she blamed it on Steve and herself.
Then later on S2 iirc, she preferred to go with Johnatan ( I know it's her actual husband but don't really know his name) instead of staying with Mike and Steve so they won't do dumb things.
Just my opinion
-
But do people need a lgbtq character to show that they are that? I use a girl character, it doesn't mean that I want to be a girl.
Like people can just play any character and assume their role by the player, if they want to use Dwight and make him gay there is nothing wrong with that, if they want to be a Kate and make her a lesb there is also nothing wrong with that.
And Steve deserves better than Nancy and her "bULlsHIt"
Just an opinion, I can be wrong
-
This is from someone that played nurse on ps4 for a decently long time, it's most likely auto aim/aim assist/ aim dressing however you want to call it, it happens really often on ps4 sometimes you are right behind a survivor and the cam will shake a bit and you will miss a hit

Only if the reports are actually real. You can't be banned for fake reports.
Sorry, that is what I meant, like giving proof of X report, almost 5 a.m my brain is kinda fried.
I mean just by saying "not sure" people should take it with a grain of salt, just like leaks and stuff like that.
-

Don't give out numbers you pulled from thin air, please. That's how fake information spreads.
That is why I said not sure tbh, but I read somewhere that if you get reported constantly you can get banned.
-
That is called BM'ing and no it's not a bannable offense, if I recall you can only get banned if you get reported often, like maybe 20 times? Maybe more? Not sure tbh.
Nodding is basically teabagging, not bannable but just bad manners, you can't get banned for not giving hatch.
In fact if you get threats you can actually report them for that.
Edit: I'm not saying that it's a good thing, all I'm saying it's that it's not a bannable offense

I'm not the one asking for a stress free match every game.
Yes but you are the one saying "godly aura reading perks like bbq and it deserves a nerf" blah blah or "godly speedy killers" that have more than enough counters but you just want nerfs instead of learning, you survivor mains always say git gud, so now when we say it back all you guys ask are nerfs and go directly to the "you braindead killer" or "playing killer is easy compared to survivors" must be hard holding M1 on a gen.
-
As a Killer main I tell you, even though its your opinion on perks, dance with me + lithe + QnQ is just that damn good it wastes the killer a lot of time if no scratchmarks are visible or no LOS, iron grasp is bad, prove thyself helps for doing the objective not a big boost but it helps, fixated is great but the only thing that sucks about it is that if you are injured it doesn't give you a boost, remember me is meh, sometimes work sometimes doesn't on certain maps, thana needs a buff because the only killer that can use it's full potential is legion, distortion is good but needs a buff as well.
We killer mains just want balanced stuff, not be stressed every single match.
@Sluzzy said:
The problem is this. The meta is required to stand a chance against the meta. When you have a high mobile killer running godly perks that show auras every few seconds, 2nd chance are not 2nd chance, they are required to have even a slight chance.
The meta will never change until more good perks are released.
Oh hi, another post you are complaining on perks like bbq, at this point you are just entitled
-
@TunnelVision said:
I'm not 100% sure but i'm pretty sure this was changed due to people having genuine problems with game crashing and then being left without a game they can play due to the time out ramp up.
That actually makes a lot of sense

DS is even easier to counter, a lot of times it never gets used and it doesn't give any extra bloodpoints. If BBQ is unlimited uses, distortion should be too.
But bbq isn't unlimited it's 11 hooks tops, no offense but right now you sound really entitled, while I really think distortion needs a buff, making it unlimited is really unfair if paired up with OoO
-
@TunnelVision said:
It could be worse! I believe they changed t so the the DC timer resets daily. This is a huge improvement over what it was, where it would gradually go down over a number of games or days.

Yeah, I was thinking about that too. You and unhooked survivor see the auras of other survivors for a tier based amount of time. Can even tell you if someone else is in a chase if you also want to go in for protection hit.
^ exactly and just like you mentioned, if someone is being chase you can actually try to take a hit for them so they can make it a little bit longer

Things like this is why is starts out low with 5 minutes
I'd rather have to wait 5 minutes every 100 matches or so then have every other match ruined because someone DC'd
It is a smal price to pay
Makes sense but I wish they could tell apart things like DC'ing and Bugs/Crashes
-
This is an idea I have for it, maybe it can work but it's like kindred, when you unhook someone you see every survivor for 10 seconds, it can help you for solo queue in case that you are injured, you can just run towards that survivor.
But it might not be that good but I really don't know of any way of buffing it, because if you say "you get to see the killer's aura for 4 seconds" well babysitter exists, kindred is run on most solo survivors I've played with which is almost the same way I want to buff wglf

Yeah i would agree with you, that buffing distortion to endless uses would nerf the tracking ability of not just bbq but other perks into the ground. Heck buffing distortion to endless uses, would not just counter bbq but any aura reading perk. Ghostface's perk, i'm all ears. Well that thrown out the window and made a worthless perk to any survivor that is using distortion. Ghostface ultra rare add on, security camera becomes worthless, woot, even more reason not to use anything beside the recovery add ons. Oni bloody glove ultra rare add on, becomes worthless vs this survivor. Not only that but if distortion had endless uses. Oh my lord. That would be to powerful. Object of obsession, you could always see the killer and they could never see you. You would be unaware anyone is running object of obsession until it's to late. So in a game of a 4 vs one, the group of 4 can always have perfect information as to where the killer is at all times. It was already bad enough when object of obsession used to work on sneaky killers like ghostface. Now buffing distortion to endless uses and combine that with object. Would easiest become one of the most broken, unbalance things to exist in the game currently. Bbq, killer has to work to earn that information. Object of obsession with endless distortion, a survivor gets perfect information, just for merely existing and not having to do jack to earn it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1339570#Comment_1339570
Yeah the funny thing about bbq is op and two powerful is. It's a 4 vs one game. The killer can only bring in four perks. Survivors can each bring in 4 perks of their own, leading to a total of 16 perks for survivors vs four killer perks. Even if they were right about bbq being a god tier perk, that doesn't mean it needs to be nerf. It would only make sense the perks a killer would bring into the game, would be stronger than the perks the survivors can bring in. Since the killer is one single person, going up against a team of people. A killer or the one player, is going to need some sort of edge or benefit over the team of four, to stand a chance and not get destroy each and every time.
I do agree with you, the thing is that 4 seconds seeing a survivor is good but with most killers it won't matter, bbq is strong with killers like oni, huntress, nurse, maybe spirit with speed addons, billy and I think that's it (my brain is toasted at the moment "5:13 a.m") but seeing a survivor for 4 seconds give a killer a chance of knowing where to go, some of us don't have 7k hours on this game to develop some godly gaming sense, so bbq helps not camp and going for the next chase that is what people don't seem to realize, yeah there are a lot of campers etc that use it but that is a different topic.
Even if bbq got nerfed by removing the aura of the survivors I would still use it, I use wglf when I play survivor just because I love bp.
But you really did covered up a lot of things and I agree with you.
-
I get instant queues on both ps4 and pc for both killer and survivor, I don't get your complaint

Because people want blood points.
I see We're Gonna Live Forever ran a lot -- and that perk literally doesn't do anything. Does that mean WGLF is powerful -- or just that people want blood points?
There's plenty of better tracking perks than BBQ. Infectious Fright, Whisperers; just to name a couple.
Here are the 8 counter to BBQ:
- Be within 40 meters of the person being hooked
- Hide inside a locker
- Hide behind a generator
- Let the killer see where you are, and move away after 4 seconds
- Run one direction as the survivor is being hooked for four seconds, then move in a different direction
- The "Distortion" perk
- The "Sole Survivor" perk
- "Off the Record" perk
These are all valid ways to either hinder BBQ's aura reading or prevent it entirely. So forgive me if I do not believe a perk which has EIGHT ways to impact its usability to actually track is considered "strong", let alone the fact it strongly encourages the killer to leave the hook and to target different people, rather than tunnel and camp.
This ^ I can't agree with you more, BBQ op lmfao I feel like we aren't playing the same game.
You give 8 examples of how to counter BBQ but BBQ is "Godly" smh.
I feel like those that say that BBQ is op just don't know how to loop and are just doing gens, not even trying to learn how to loop.
I love using BBQ with trapper, I guess according to the complainer BBQ helps me a lot with him, a set up killer....
-
I really hate DS but that is too much, I just want it so people won't abuse it, other than that is good, by abusing I mean dumb plays like "I will unhook someone in the killer's face and when he picks me up I'm good to go and I will call him a tunneler at endgame chat" stuff like entering lockers is annoying and I'm sure an entitled survivor will say "it's just a 5 sec stun, nothing happens" yes it's just a 5 second stun but that 5 sec stun can change the game completely, from having decent pressure to non and losing the game
-
I had a Meg who self cared against me an infinite T3 myers, I just don't get people.
Some people actually dead hard against legion's frenzy because of reaction like "oh second hit I might go down"
-
I really don't think I will run it with him, but things can change, I plan on using Surge, stbfl, maybe nurse's or just enduring + spirit fury with him, I really don't know since I only played him for like 2 days and decided to grind
-
If you have 5 bucks to spare or 9k shards, get plague, get both corrupt intervension and infectious fright, corrupt will help you early game to set up traps around and infectious will help you when you down someone and know if someone is there or not.
I can't really give that many tips about trapper (I'm not a great trapper just decent) watch Otzdarva on YT, he is a trapper main, look at the way he preps his traps.
-
Depends on how you use insidious, I use it on doc to pretend I'm an illusion and tried a gimicky build from Otz to play ninja clown, both are fun to do.
-
Yup it has always been a thing but you have to be very precise and at a certain distance
-
Just like mentioned above, cross progression is not confirmed, the devs want it but it's not up to them, they have to talk to sony, nintendo etc about it.
Would be cool to combine both like let's say that I have some skins on console and skins for killers on pc, would be cool to keep them both at the same time on the same account.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
As Legion? None. Blind me at a pallet. I dare you!
That tech got nerfed no? I haven't been able to pull one off in a very long time
-
Demo is what every killer main and survivor main agree, demo is just balanced, I love using demo I use him whenever I just want to have fun and not worrying about pipping/winning.
The difference between demo and freddy teleportation is that demo has to slowly set up, meanwhile freddy gets his teleportation with time, freddy if using snares can end up chases faster than demo (without perks because I've done some plays with stbfl, regular attack and shred).
Just my opinion and experiences with both killers
