I'm a devotion 33 and I have a friend who is about to hit 40, for devotion 52 he must do dbd for a job streaming for cash that's the only way
13 followers is what he has iirc, so streaming dbd for a living is out of the question atm.

To the specific question though, I think the highest I saw was in the 40's. Typically the highest people are all the full time streamers as it's essentially their full time job and they're able to commit a lot more time than other people working normal jobs.
His hours and achievements were private, but judging from what I saw on the vod, he has issues following scratchmarks and doesn't know where scratchmarks are going, he doesn't know how crow works.
He is a nurse main who...... Not to be rude plays worse than I do with nurse.
But still 40 is a lot.

that's not possible to have, may have been a save file hack. you can't have legacy if you weren't playing before November 2016.
I know about when legacy ended and that, I just found it..... Funny that someone hacks their savefiles, and I got curious about the highest devotion that people have seen in general.
Also 90k cells, which from my bad math that is about 820ish bucks.

Hatchet snipes, I run a sniping build on huntress, bitter murmur and bbq basically, someone reported me for "knowing where they were and getting hit from afar".
Also for "aimbot" on slinger, meanwhile I just play a lot of slinger and well I used to play a lot of COD and quick scope, I'm just used to that.

This is what I saw and what I discovered when I saw their stream.
Devotion 53 and player level 70.
I went to check their hours on the game since that is a LOT.
But after I went to a page to see when the account was made and stuff.
Not even a year that account was made, 7 legacies and every killer and survivor had 300 items/addons just 300

Just saying this, apparently hacking isn't banable just ran into the same hacker that I played like 2 months ago, same name same account.
I doubt they will care if you use a M&K adapter, in fact I'm surprised they haven't done a M&K support in console dbd.

New perks every 3 months, there are some of us that moved platforms so we have to re do everything.
Plus the excessive grind might keep new players away.

It's not in the game, you have to modify the game files in order to get it, according to how you described it then I can put myself all legacy and then it's not cheating, I mean it's in the game if you don't abuse it it's your own fault.

I've seen them more than enough, you described them the exact way that I would've described them, they are the anti fun killer, most victors will camp or rarely charlotte, then slug fest.
Most hits do not hit but I am an entitled killer main so that question wasn't towards me.

Because people are idiots, honestly the only disadvantage that console has is crappy fps and not being able to use nurse and huntress to the fullest potential.
I've lost streaks against console players more often than against pc players.
People think that just because we play on pc we are already better than console players, which in fact is wrong.
This is coming from someone who played on ps4 until last year.

Oh, I play Nurse a lot. She is the only killer I play ngl. But what're her "infinite bugs"? The bugs I know about are the No no blink zones and a bug where her second blink just went crazy and you couldn't use it. It just made a weird sound.
Sometimes you don't do the blink animation, you just extend your hand, sometimes when you blink in the house of pain you "jump" and messes your view, again no blink zones, the fatigue exploit and many more.

No, mostly Killers cry for easy games. And most people know that.
But mostly survivors will cry if killer is using strong perks and strong addons.
According to survivors who I have played against, nurse without slowdowns and just tracking is unfair, nurse with slowdowns and 2 tracking is unfair.
Oni with M&A and IF is unbalanced and unfair.
Trapper with corrupt and pop + trapper bag is unfair.
Wraith with all seeing (purple) is unfair.
Hag, boring.
Freddy, boring.
Billy boring.
Huntress unfair with sniper builds.
Demo unfair with stbfl.
Pig unfair and boring with stbfl + combat pig.
Ghosty unfair (yes I've seen people complain about him).
Myers most fun addons are unfair.
If you as a killer use strong stuff you are the bad guy, but if a survivor has full meta perks then it's all good.
That is just basing from my experience on the game and this is from someone who started early in 2018.

For distance sure, for the iframe bonuses nope, I only have a problem when it's a "I got outplayed and a good survivor made it to a strong pallet because he/she pressed E" that is when I have a problem with it, basically it's another free health state with good survivors.

Actually I've been seeing nicer players even when I have bad games they aren't rude or anything, I do get the ocasional (tunneler, pos, camper, baby killer etc) but recently since the new animations I've seen less and less rude players.

That's true. The comment wasn't aimed towards me, but I played Nurse who's apparently even buggier with 4.5.0 for the archives. Played a few rounds as her, it's a little annoying but I don't really care that she's buggy.
Fair enough answer, I just hate the bug that doesn't let you blink because of the crow thing and no blinking zones.

Because there are hackers playing this game? Like a month ago I got perma blinded by a hacker, that had from what I could tell 6 perks plus healing instantly, he was faster than blight btw.
Just had a better gaming chair and headset.

I end matches in .1 seconds, just like you can't prove that you are a "high skilled killer" then you also need to believe that I can finish matches in .1 second.

Yes, for any killer I personally hate haddonfence and pallet haven aka the game, I usually lose in those maps unless I'm playing nurse or oni.

It's definitely what they did (walking around for 40 minutes), or they would have gotten the AFK crows. They had to take action to ruin your game. If they didn't want to play anymore then they could have just run up to you to die, or just tabbed out / minimized the game until they got the AFK crows so you can find and kill them to end the game. But they didn't do that, their goal was to ruin your game.
I can't say for sure that this is the case but I doubt that there is a 40 minute limit after which something becomes holding the game hostage. Perhaps you misremember, and you are thinking of a case where someone said "Not doing anything for 40 minutes is holding the game hostage.". If it goes on for 40 minutes then it is absolutely holding the game hostage. Doing it for less time might be holding the game hostage too, but it depends on context.
Interesting, I might be misremembering a lot, I mean I did reported it before I went to sleep, what happens next is from the devs.

I run shadowborn since the janky animation was a thing before the Billy nerf, kinda like the nurse situation plus easier to curve.
I don't use slowdowns on Billy mostly chase perks and well the FOV increase.
It was a horrible match experience ngl, the most boring thing I've done in this game in the 3 years that I've played.

I hope it does get solved. just doesn't feel like they will actually make a change worth while.
It might come in a few weeks, maybe in a hotfix soon? Because a lot of people are having issues.
Plus we all understand that they are trying new things, but these things are not killing the game but most of the fun for most people.

They intentionally and actively ruined your game. It would be one thing if they just went AFK for 40 minutes, but then the AFK crows would show where they are - they had to be active in the game by moving, not playing the game, for 40 minutes, with the sole intention of ruining your game. They spent 40 minutes of their own time on the sole purpose of ruining someone else's fun. They should be banned.
Honestly that sounds like what they did.
Mostly ruin my game since yeah they never did anything, I found a player in the basement hiding where the chest is on the back.
The other one was just walking around, when I hooked the david we both found the hatch and that is where I closed it in her face because it wasn't a fun experience.
But I was asking if it was still 40 min because I remember I think it was Queen who said that 40 min is taking the game hostage but I can't remember if that was what she said a few years back.

I get you 100%, if you are not having fun you need a break.
I also think it is unfun for the survivor side, I had a ghostface hit me from miles away, it makes VPN killers seem normal.
I will continue playing but mostly killer again, this update is just a slap on the face but it will be fixed soon.

I don't think there is an official hard limit at which the situation becomes holding the game hostage, but what you described is definitely that and you should make a support ticket with the video included if you reported them in-game.

I reported them in game, I honestly don't want them banned or anything, but this is why I hate indoor maps, lots of places to hide and if I dc I get punished.

Its so bad, I was playing against a legion that hit me when I was running a few meters away from the window and I know it wasn't ping, he was able to get properly stunned and stuff.

What was the problem with the old HUD? I highly doubt any console players had a problem with it. More frankly this HUD is causing more problems for console players than the Twins did
They basically blamed console players for not participate in the PTB so they didn't changed the hud because they wanted console players to try it.
