I had a whispers addiction because of how good the perk is, I had to stop running it for a long time on killers like billy, huntress, nurse until recently when I came back to the addiction.
-
I have over 2.7k hours and don't have all perks on all killers as well.
I too wish we had more double bp events but because they want to not because the community is upset.
-
I'm an oni main and never heard of that, maybe a combination of bugs + lag, make sure to report it in the bug section because this sounds very exploitable if people learn how to do it.
-
Oh so you want old balanced landing?

How do you explain him having the lowest killrate?
People don't know how to use him effectively, if you bring killrate to the topic then I will say this as well, how can you explain nurse also having the one of the lowest killrate and pig having one of the best ones, we both know that nurse is still the strongest killer in the game, then why is she on the lowest end?
-
I have never heard someone call demo weak, demo is extremely balanced and still stronger than trapper and legion.
I love playing as and against demo, I play him very often but I haven't played against it in like 2 weeks.
His addons are meh since his brown ones are the best ones.
He is the best user of STBFL.
The ones that call demo weak are the ones that probably just play freddy with ropes and chains + pop thana and sloppy.
-
Haddonfield is the only map balanced for killer and survivor? Excuse me what?

Otz has actually said it I remember from one time
No offense to Otz since I do watch him and been following him since his DS2 runs but he also said that console players were bad a very long time ago, he has lost most streaks against console players.
He also has a video on yt where he said something close to that.
He is an amazing trapper sure but he can be wrong.
-
If he goes live as he currently is on the ptb I will just get the adept and that's it at least until buffed.
-
That has been a thing since bubba got into dbd......
-
Ngl I didn't even knew mmr was on, well I haven't played played dbd in 2 days because my internet said no, but today I plan to.
I guess I have to check with my most used killers and see for myself.

Right here is the video OP is talking about
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35k-wzB_5sU
I have watched it and at no point is he saying its toxic he showing how effective just holding W is against all killers who moves at 115% and how good teams can use that to their advantage. I know Tru is a streamer where you either love him or hate him but for the love of god dont put false claims like "Tru says holding W is toxic" just watch the video and listen to what he is saying if you agree or disagree thats fine but dont put false claims on just cause you dont like him
I really dislike him but yeah, he knows what he is talking about.
Holding W really rewards no brain plays, no one is getting outplayed, but people also pre drop safe pallets and loop around then continue to hold W once bloodlust has been reset.

You are supposed to care for their fun but they don't need to care for theirs.
Rule# 2 on the survivor bible.

that one was easy, just got injured at some point, healed to 99%, got next to the killer when he was carryig someone else and healed
That is what I did, 99% my with resilience, I meant that I have thrown matches against sloppy with sc, especially when I did THAT challenge specifically
-
Op only with top knot and lion fang.
Without them not at all, I would say he is just strong, I main oni
-
I too miss them a lot, I just don't like purple wglf and purple bond.
-
Ngl, I have thrown more matches doing survivor challenges, like the self care one within 10 meters of a killer
-
No killer main believes facecamping with bubba requires skill if they do, they really need some help.
But to answer your question further on, some people seem to get upset at a survivor for juking which is what I don't get, I prefer a survivor outplaying me rather than holding W.
-
As much as I love and hate this game, a 9/10 is too much, you see if I didn't loved this game I wouldn't have played it for almost 4 years.
But honestly if they tried higher ranks instead of rank 20 they wouldn't have given it such a high review.
My negatives:
Auto aim cucks you a lot especially for console players.
Bug, performance issues.
Unfair stuff both sides can do.
My meh things:
The game is more balanced than it was when I started.
Devs are trying their best to fix stuff and no I'm not being a whiteknight.
My positive stuff:
This game is a lot of fun.
Will probably play it until the end of the game since I really like it and hate it at the same time.
Now.
A 9 is too high but bhvr hit the nail so hard that it's extremely difficult to copy we all have seen similar games die.
Personal review is a 7/10 will increase if bugs and performance issues get fixed.

Same point but I got the date wrong.

Got more nurses tho (Not even bad ones)
I play on us east servers (I think) usually at around 3 p.m to 12 a.m.
Hopefully you get more demos.

If it is a great truth, a request must be made so that the survivors can only use the A S D and not the W ... because it is toxic because I say so, camping is fine by the way KEKW

I'm expressing the hypocrisy that I noticed a lot on the forum from killers. That its completely fine for killers to complain about something but when survivors do they are met with hate and backlash.
And sure a lot of survivors be insulting but this trait isn't only unique to survivors. Sure not all killers camp but that doesn't take away from the fact that it takes no skill
I'm not denying that camping takes no skill at all, in fact I'm with you there.
I just don't agree with you on one thing which is basically saying that holding W is fair since killers camp and tunnel.
Both of those things require no skill though tunneling is harder than camping depending on the map and situation.

That same logic can be applied to camping. Camping takes no skill so shouldn't we be demonizing that as well.
You act like killers don't and can't insult survivors for holding w, I have seen it happen.
This is just rich. When survivors complain about killer strategies its automatically met with backlash and hate but when killer complain about similar strategies its met with utter agreement and suddenly a problem.
And you are not giving backlash right now?
From my experience I see way more survivors insulting killers than killer insulting survivors.
Not all killers camp, just I haven't been camped at all today but when I play killer everyone holds W

If killer
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/233904/hold-w
If killers can run boring toxic strategies like face camping and hard tunneling and the devs are completely fine with it then why can’t survivors do the same thing? Really seems like the forums want survivors to be unplayable while killers should be able to get easy 4ks with no effort
Oh just like how survivors want everything nerfed from killers? Freddy, spirit, oni, huntress, blight, twins, just like that or how? Or how undying got nerfed in 1 patch? Or how PH got nerfed as well? Like nurse? Yep like that.
-
@Terro said:
At the very least they're not being as efficient as they can be. They're not combining it with looping and map awareness to maximize killer time loss.
Some are, especially with coms.
Normally I don't complain about swf but playing like this just no.
-
@dspaceman20 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2011628#Comment_2011628
Well couldn't the same be said about looping? If all the survivors did it then they would win as well.
This just seems like your trying to demonize holding w but it's a strategy that survivors have, just like looping. The fact that it's fun or not doesn't play into it. This seems similar to survivors saying camping, and slugging are boring unfun strategies. These are all strategies and survivors are allowed to have good strategies too.
Demoralizing a boring play that can make killers stop playing since there is no interaction? And then you see everyone ######### talking the killer match after match for camping and tunneling meanwhile survivors are not for doing that?
Looping requires skill and map knowledge, holding W doesn't.
If a killer can outsmart the player then at least deserves the hit, but if the survivor is just holding W from point a to point b that is not outplaying that is just wasting time since most killers won't catch up in time.
Don't say "but then go for another survivor" that does the same? How is that fun or engaging?
-
@dspaceman20 said:
You want survivors to just stand in one place and die?
Can you read what Omega above answered to the same thing you just mentioned.
@th3 said:
Killer meta right now is anti-loop killers+slow down builds. It’s smarter to take distance than trying to play every loop. Plus I thought survivors looping was toxic and not healthy for the game.
Legion is anti looping? Good to know, ghosty is anti looping? And no, looping and outsmarting one another is the best part of the game.
You see slowdown builds because of that holding W as well, if it takes you a long time to down them because of holding W might as well regress that gen that they were working
-
@TruEternity said:
So I agree that just playing a team of W gamers is the most boring thing to play against as killer, but here's where I play devil's advocate. Most new killer designs are anti-looping, Pyramid Head, Slinger, Twins. That isn't even mentioning old killers like Freddy, Nurse, and Spirit. Those killers have a very heavy advantage at loops, and staying there as a survivor is just a low percentage play. So holding W to a place far away from teammates on gens is the best play if you're trying to escape.
I don't think it's a fun way to play, as the interaction between killer and survivor in chase is the best part of the game, but BHVR is making it that way with killer designs. It's partially throwing the game as survivor if you try and loop certain killers at non god pallets.
It's really an issue that so many tools have been removed from survivors that are strong, and so many stupidly strong chase killers have been added that has seen a rise in holding W.
Ok, against strong killers sure, I don't see an issue but against legion, ghosty, myers etc killers who are already weak by default they have it worse.
So that is why people have started seeing more strong killers like slinger, nurse, spirit etc.
The more time it takes the devs to do something about that tactic the more survivors will see really strong killers with really strong perks.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
The hold W tactic is why I think DBD maps should be way smaller than what they currently are.
If this continues like that I'm 100% with you, it's either play a high mobility killer or just lose to the hold W
-
@OmegaXII said:
Simply holding m1 on gen, and holding w in chase can win 99% of the game, if whole team does this.
It is the fact, and yet many people failed to realise it.
With my luck not really, I've been playing against hold W gamers no loop.
But yeah that is all a survivor needs to do.
@EvanSnowWolf said:
What do you want me to do? Stand there and die?
If I know I'm not a loop master why would I screw around when I get considerable distance with a hard W and a few windows?
Do you have fun just holding W? And have you seen the rise of slingers, ph, demos, and blights? That is because holding W is just all a survivor needs to do.
But if this is all we killers get then the game turns into the most boring game ever.
-
People have started adapting to the hold W meta, so it feels like you can't catch up.
i suggest start using stbfl because of that hold W
-
I've been countered plenty of times when using end fury.
Now I will give an example.
Play the game (the map) you use end fury survivors bring 4 dh.
The problem with DH is with good survivors not with bad ones as good survivors use it to extend chases meanwhile.
Smart survivors will pre drop when they find out you have it.
Just like many above mentioned, it's 2 perks vs 1.
Requirements for end fury, break 2 pallets then get stunned.
Requirements for DH, get hit.
-
You must be a godlike billy then because even 2016 billy mains dislike playing as billy

I'm a survivor main and I agree. I try to look from both perspectives to understand the issue of why killers camp, tunnel and slug. If the developers nerfed gen speeds, then It might be beneficial for the survivor as well. I also agree that survivors have many powerful meta perks to counter killers.
Both sides have their pros and cons, just like you can see for both sides there are also killers like me that also see the survivors pov, it is just not fun to play the way the OP says.
But remember that nerfing gen speeds will most likely cause the game to feel worse for certain survivors.
-
The thing is that 4.4 or 110% killers is that their power is good, trickster's power is a good idea but poorly executed, I'm not judging him as much since he will most likely get a buff.
I feel like trickster might become a problem when he goes live.
But ptb trickster is bad atm.
-
Entitled killer main here.
If you can't win without tunneling/camping, you will never improve, I've been playing this game for far too long to not give a crap about how many kills I get.
If we go for your terms, survivors gen rushing and using really strong perks and items to allow them to do the same is fair.
If you want a depip squad that knows how to play you shouldn't complain when you lose to them.
-
Crossprogression isn't simple, it isn't one of those things that you can just put it on the coding and works.
Sony and Xbox are just being them, not allowing bhvr to do it since they will lose money, Idk how to really explain it but basically xbox and sony are being babies about it.
Bhvr confirmed cross progression but only on switch/stadia/steam afaik.
The only thing we all can do is ######### at those platforms not ######### at bhvr since that is not on their hands.
-
Wait for the buff and you might see more kind blights.
I use him often but do not consider myself a blight main but he is just fun, blight on the right hands are scary, so blights are being nice until the change so you guys lower your guard and don't complain about how good he is in general.
-
For killer I main Oni because of aesthetics and because I honestly wanted something like Billy back when I was a billy main.
For survivor, I main Cheryl because of silent hill 1 and well 3 since that is her game, I just love silent hill and well Heather what can I say?

Well I'm not, my ping is invariably 57-63ms, never more never less. And I'm not an idiot I've got 5000 something hours in this game on both sides, some killers everything plays perfect, some killers its total trash and those happen to be the ones stuttering all over the place so I don't know what to tell you.
Sorry, I may have been pissed when I typed the thing before, but yeah it might just be server issues, when I lag I do stutter everywhere
-
15 counters more or less, "we need a nerf" people say, I thought you were good Sluzzy
-
I call this bs, earlier this month I had internet issues without me knowing, so I got into a match and was very laggy, game did not benefit me at all since I was rubberbanding all over the place.
So I feel like you are just blaming lag.
-
Data transfer or crossprogression doesn't exist yet for console to pc or vice versa.
But to answer your question if you want to play dbd on pc you need to buy it again from steam or windows store.

I still don't understand anything.
Think of the middle where the X Y axis meet as the balanced, if one is close to the difficulty then that was the difficulty that I had with them, if they are in the middle of X and it was also easy then they go Y to either side then it was leaning towards being easy or freddy difficulty.

Yeah, I understand that Add-ons, especially good ones can be tempting. If I wanted I could use Scalped Topknot Oni every match because the Add-on feels nice, but I force myself to not be Add-on dependent.
I had this issue with Doctor. I always used shock range and the reworked Discipline when it came out. The shorter delay with extra range was just to good to not use it and then I started playing him addonless as well. It was hell. I realized that using or especially learning a Killer while using Add-ons to much is a big mistake.
Now, everytime a Killer comes out I instantly play basekit and get used to addonless and when I grasp the Killer, then I start using Add-ons.
Oh, I also try that, to learn how to play without addons but I try the other way around.
For me it's a "use busted addons" like compound 21 or topknot then go back and back to worse addons then learn normally.
-
@Orion said:
I don't understand this chart. What do the axes mean?
The closest to the "difficulty" that I had, the more "normal" "hard" it was, demo and myers were for me one of those killers that it all depended or balanced per say, like I could either have a blessed game and win in WR pace or play normal or hard.
-
@MrDardon said:
Every Killer's basekit is fine except Trapper and maybe Ghostface. I am not including Wraith anymore since he will be decent at base with the new update.
For Ghostface: Reduce his Shroud Recovery down to 20 seconds.
For Trapper: Give him Trapper Bag basekit.
He starts with 2 Traps and can carry 3, give him 2 more traps in total so he can play with 8 traps instead of 6 and make the traps spawn more in the center of the map instead of the corners.
I mainly play without Add-ons and I do very well with every other Killer, sometimes I tend to use some. I don't think any other Killer needs Add-ons.
100% agree with you, I had to use ghosty shroud not as often and mostly for early game and stalking survivors that thought they were safe but I personally found him way easier than Myers in certain situations.
Trapper without bags was absolute hell for me since most of the time I use bags/sacks, so I had to set up 1 or 2 and the rest when I was close and if I was close to them, that buff that you suggest would be amazing if it was a thing, there were maps that I had to play machete man.
And yeah not that many killers "need" addons and sometimes they are nice but not really needed.

What about Billy?
With the change on fov and animations, not to mention phantom saws he has become kinda annoying to use, not to mention that the overheat kinda limits his snowballing, still strong don't get me wrong.
Yeah, doc was really easy to win, this is the build that I use personally, surge, corrupt, whispers and stbfl.
@Zeus said:
I'm curious about pyramid head. His addons are really bad and do nothing for him so I wonder why it mattered. Are you talking about the advantage range addons give him?
To put simply yeah, imo his best addons are reach, Idk if mmr is a thing yet but whenever I played ph I found decent to good players but it wasn't that big of a deal, it was normal like it was more of a "I need to do this" than I needed reach addons.
I played all killers so that is why I put him in the list.
@ClownIsUnderrated said:
Playing Wraith with no add ons is such a pain, maybe you can actually have a chance at being able to compete with survivors since they finally buffed his cloaked speed in the next chapter.
Wraith was horrible without windstorm ngl and yeah with the buff it will be better, I tried him on the ptb and felt amazing so it will be better soon.
