They are afraid of being accused of forcing players to buy dlcs for meta perks. That's my guess at least. I enjoy "Hex: Retribution on Hag with M&A tho. .)
-
He's a good killer in chases and against solos, i agree. He's trash at map pressure tho.
-
If it would simply deny aura reading, if the survivor is not in the terror radius it would be good. Finally a counterpart to OoO.
-
Guys he said meg looks ugly? Guys? No one? Okay...
-
The addon change for survivors was unnecessary imo. Just punishing good players.

Cool build i like it. So the sense is, you can unhook someone even right in front of the killer, he can smack you down and you have a far better chance to escape from that hook after beeing unhooked.
Yup, pulled it off a few times, even with autodidact instead of make it. Really fun synergy.
-
My favourite perk build with it is:
- "Off the Record"
- "Second Wind"
- "We'll make it"
- "Borrowed Time"/an exhaustion perk
As item you can use a medkit to make sure to be healthy if wind is not ready and record goes off.
-
"Scalped Topknot" and "Lion Fang" imo.
-
For my build you need to be good in chases in general.
Perks: Hex: Ruin, Surveillance, Enduring, BBQ
Addons: Duration and Recovery
Playstyle: B-line straight to the area where you think they spawned. Go for stab stab, killer instinct yes? Go for multiple injures. No? Cancel frenzy instantly and down the dude as fast as possible. Hook, BBQ or Surveillance, rinse and repeat. The big difference between this and any other build is, that you just never respect pallets. Never. Even in frenzy, just swing through every pallet. It works surprisingly well.
-
Survivors will be the final power role as long as the power and balance difference between solo and swf survivor exists. The perk balance is part of that problem.
-
I would let the timer stop in a chase and add 30 seconds. Additionally i would add a few limitations: If you get fully healed, start repairing a gen, heal another survivor, perform a hook save or use an other item than a medkit, DS deactivates. This way the killer wastes even more time when he actually tunnels, but the survivor gets punished, when he uses DS as an invincibility tool together with "Unbreakable".
-
It's not an exploit imo. Just another tech to higher the skillcap of both sides. It's difficult to pull off because of the timing and really easy to counter by a little flick with your cam.
-
It was a good detection perk combination and made an unused offering useful. Sadly BHVR don't like good changes apparently lol.
Like really, they could've just left it as it was.
-
Survivors: Kate, Dweet, Jane, Meg, Jeff
Killers: Nurse, Legion, Wraith, Bubba, Hag
-
How to red rank as nurse:
Perks: BBQ, Nurse's, M&A, I'm all ears
Addons: both CD addons
Playstyle: First, learn the muscle memory and the basic mindgames (doubleback behind a corner, 360° to make you whiff and so on). At the start of the match, don't blink. Try to identify the gen the survivors are working on and blink on it. You'll get a gengrab or at least a first hit for free most times. Then down and hook the survivor. BBQ shows something? Go for it. If you're really good you can aligne downs really fast and snowball at this point. Nurse's and M&A support BBQ with detection and provide you easy hits and downs. No auras? Patrol near the hook and be ready to blink back to it. Down the savior and look for BBQ again.
That's basically how that build works. "I'm all ears" is your backup for maps like lery's, hawkins or the game. It's also really useful on other maps, so i prefer it over IF because i hate slugging.
See ya in dae fog!
EDIT: "Object of Obsession" is a counter to this build, so try to kill the object fast or raw force downs with "I'm all ears".
-
If you're not nurse or spirit, the main building is the last not-rng-based infinite in dbd. And it got a bunch of safe pallets on top. And several jungle gyms can spawn around the building. And the map is really big.
Totally fine num num.
-
"Prove Thyself" is fine. Like many people mentioned, it's mainly a perk for players that like much interaction with the killer (to get their gen points faster).
-
It's an economical problem. Good survivors will get a huge load of items, but nearly no good addons for them, because they get items in their bloodwebs. It would be comparable with a killer getting his own power icon in 30% of the bloodweb.
-
I got it within one nurse match. Imma ok nurse.
-
Ebonys, Ivoris, iri keys and purple ones should go sit on a table and turn daet shet down a bit!
-
They learned from iri head. After the huntress addons update iri head will only down survivors from a range between 14.5 and 17.3 metres to keep it completely unreliable.
-
The greed for BP is infinite...
-
Fluffy pink Mr. Puddles is the best Clown!
On topic: squeaking shoes would be lit!!!
-
I agree on every addon except anxious. That one is okay for detection and BP sometimes. But yeah just use CD addons. The devs fixed her in their eyes, so they keep her that way for at least a year.
-
I'm waiting till next rank reset foe that one. Farmed my deathslinger adept in purple this time. :D
-
Nurse and her sweet sweet bootie obviously.
-
Watch ScottJund, he's a really good oni main.
-
They should just...i mean...fix their sounds after four freaking months.
-
He injures you, there's no way to deny him that one. One of his harpoons will hit you. The good thing is, that he can't do crap to injured people. Drop the pallet and he's forced to break it (most times). The counterplay is very similar to Clown.
-
I think that this one was a bad change to survivor. It forces you to waste a perkslot for "Ace in the Hole" just to keep your addons, even if you don't wanna be a looting dweet. Good survivors, that win many matches, will have countless items, but no good addons, because they lose em all the time and don't get em that often, because they're rarer in the survivor bloodweb like some people already mentioned. For UR survivor addons like BNP and syringe are already build-in loose mechanics.

obsession dying means 3 people or less. Having up to around 20% more of a gen to do on top of other perks like thana and pop would be broken for less people. That being said, it works with people up and the obsession up. which can make it really bad for those people even if one is immune. Making it so when the obsession dies no new stacks are gained but it stays up would be a fair compromise
That's what i meant. Obsession dies, stacks are fix for the remaining game.
-
It happens to me in some matches. They need to fix that as fast as spasmodic. :)
-
Man, you must hate nurse. :)
-
"Dying Light" should not give a healing boost at all and keep its tokens when the obsession dies. That way i wouls maybe use it.

I actually find Freddy good to go against because he keeps me on my toes. Unlike a certain killer that I will not name to avoid MORE backlash than usual.
It's not a case of "Oh no. He found me, I'm screwed because there's not the right type of cover" unlike some killers.
I find that I still have to actually work for everything I get in a game. As a survivor AND Freddy.
Bubba. I knew it!
-
At the release he was new and interesting, but he became pretty stale. BBQ (or any other long range detection perk) plus PGTW are usually two of his perks. Pallet dropped? Set snares, get a hit. Nothing mechanical skill based.

OK... I LOVE nurses gameplay and I really don't vs her often, playing her is another story. I often have a go at her every 2 weeks and she can be great and satisfying to play. Don't often get 4k's with her but when you do its so good. P.S. Have not used noed + Blood warden + insidious yet but I wanna lol
:)
-
I'm in western europe too and i get connected to high ping servers too. Playing mostly killer rn.
-
Smallet maps. Faster killers would make most loops really unsafe and killer favored.
-
It's a trash addon, i lile the idea, that the zone is there for longer time.

You lost me there.
Lery’s and Hawkins do NOT favor Oni. He can’t even use his power half of the time. There is too many tight corners and you can’t physically round the corners as fast as survivors can hug them. The entire map is just tight corners.
Autohaven and MacMillan maps are relatively balanced when compared to other maps. They can spawn a lot of pallets but they aren’t uber safe the the ones on The Game.
There's where our different opinions come from i guess. :)
-
Other killers got their power. They can do way more, even on those maps, than oni.
Examples for maps with many safe pallets: all corn maps except rotten fields, all autohaven maps, all macmillan maps, all red forest maps and a few more.
The only maps that favor oni are lery's and hawkins pretty much. Coal tower is okay too.
-
I'll stay at work probably lol.
-
How often did you play or vsed nurse?
-
I think his harpoon should have a short scoping time and addons should reduce that. Make him 115% for that one.
-
One killer UR should be four times that powerful as an survivor UR. Certain URs like iri head and torn bookmark break that guideline i guess.

It's just one map out of how many? I wanna cry at certain maps as particular killers, but hey. There are offerings to help eliminate some of the RNG of the map selection.
Thompson house was just an example. ~60-70% of the maps got enough safe pallets to counter oni that way. And a map offering everytime? Cmon.

Spirit can’t do much about safe pallets. She still has to break them just like every other killer. Nurse, not so much...but she is still gonna struggle.
If the player is even halfway decent, they’re still gonna get a hit. Once Oni has his power he starts to snowball hard. In Blood Fury he really doesn’t care about safe pallets or safe windows. Billy’s power isn’t as strong as Oni but he can use it all the time. Both have their upsides/downsides.
But doesn’t counterplay mean something is balanced? Players complained that Nurse and Spirit had little counterplay and they’re still not considered “balanced” because the entire round is going to revolve around how good the Spirit can hear and track and how skilled the Nurse is at blinking. The survivor skill doesn’t play a huge factor.
It’s supposed to be PVP not “how skilled the killer is”. You don’t feel outplayed by your opponent when your skill is irrelevant.
That's my problem with oni. You're skill doesn't matter when the survivor just drops the safe pallet.

What every other killers does. Lose. If the survivors are good players, split gens, and make little mistakes then you probably won’t win. Doesn’t matter whether you’re playing Oni or Billy. Even Spirit and Nurse will struggle hard in the scenario.
Nurse and Spirit care about pallets? That's new for me.
My point is: Oni gets his power with basic M1 hits. The survivors can completely deny his power by just dropping safe pallets, not mechanically playing good. He got too much counterplay to be the most balanced killer.

Just watch Umbra and chill guys! <3
