I think this was a bad update. The killer is trash, even in comparison to legion, and his perks are mediocre at best. Also the sabo changes are broken af, like expected.

Slinger is significantly stronger than the Huntress.
Explain why. He's 110%, only got one shot (no snowball potential) and is useless at most pallet loops. Now you. How is he better than huntress?
-
At R1 he's a plaything. Like every single killer since spirit.
-
Well. It's not like it was obviously broken in swf teams on the PTB and you could easily see that it needed a nerf. BHVR with their famous blindfold again.

Really? That's an intentional thing? I never heard of that before. I'm on PS4 I don't see many nurses tbh. And usually when I do they are really good. Literally never even got one hit on someone. I guess they were just trolling or being silly? I swear I didn't expect to open the exit gate and see her there. I think the other two with me were surprised too. The other gate opened seconds before I popped mine.
Imagine her with insidious, noed and a mori lol.

Ruin nerf was a HUGE buff to every other hex perk. Before the nerf 99% of the time there was ruin and everybody knew that. Most survivors went on to search for it and destroyed it. Now nobody is looking for totems from the get go which allows other hexes to shine: devour hope, need, 3rd seal etc.
I play Devour on nurse pretty regularily, no difference for me. Okay, no ingame buff, if thats the better wording for you.

Or maybe you dont know how to play him?
Demo is one of the killers that requires the most skill, and while unforgiving, he can be rewarding when played right
- Learn where and when to use your shred, use it to bait good survivors or to cut some loops like the shack pallet and window.
- place your portals in hills or hidden next to gens
- Be precise with your hits of you dont want to give your location.
Yes, he could use some buffs or QoL changes, but he is by no means bad
This. He's also the only killer, that uses STBFL as a solo perk without downsides.

Killer sided maps.
Sheltered Woods, The Game (stealth Killers), Lery's (except Nurse), Coal Tower.
Torment Creek can go either way if the God window spawns or not.
Never faced my stealth nurse on lerys huh?
On topic: There are way too many survivor favored maps in the game, i agree.

I mean, I still find killer the much more enjoyable side to play. I mean I even stopped playing survivor with my Girlfriend to just play killer because killer is a 1000 times less stressful for me.
I find survivor extremely stressful, because my enjoyment is based completely on how the killer decides to play. I don't run second chance perks (while borrowed time, but that doesn't help me) so if a killer decides to tunnel, camp or slug, I basically have to lay on the ground or hook, which is just about as exciting as pressing M1 for 80 seconds at a time.
Last night I had a bubba that basically just proxy camped all game and because we just wanted to have fun playing with each other, we tried to go for a save (yes technically the wrong call, but its freaking boring to watching a friend essential unable to play the game). After he got everyone on hook, I managed to 4%... This dude literally slugged me and went AFK for 4 minutes.
Super fun times...
Would like to play tag-team killer with my BF, but BHVR refuses to implement killer swfs.
-
Here! Also Umbra is pretty popular, if you wanna see a godlike huntress. :)
-
For me it's 40% survivor and 60% killer, because i love my gorgeous Sally.
-
You need to trick them to turn to one side and lunge in the direction of the hook to hit them. It's really stupid to do this after all.
-
115% is enough. I saw Umbra shooting right through the shack wall with the harpoon, i think he'll have a high skillcap.
-
I just hope they buff deathslinger.
-
Every survivor nerf got a buff as a trade. Killers just got nerfed. I think thats the reason many people are upset.
-
Unexpected Tombstone Myers.
Step 1: Get in T2.
Step 2: Go afk in front of a gen.
Step 3: Wait till survivors show up to toy around with you.
Step 4: Get easy T3.
Step 5: Have fun. :)
-
The only way to have fun as killer for me.
-
I thought about that too, but "No mither" exists. You can't slug a "No mither". Never.
-
Even 12-16 metres from the hook would be fine to punish campers instead of every killer that just plays the game. Radius of course, the TR is no condition anymore.
-
Base nurse was 100% fine. The nerf should just make her learning curve BS, so she will be less used.

The thing that doesn't work about this comparison is that there's actually a way to tell whether or not someone is using killer exploits (at least when the devs actually notify the community). What about the survivor exploits? What way is there to tell that a player was exploiting the sprint burst bug? Should they have just banned every single player who ran sprint burst even if they didn't use the exploit? Also infinite dead hard wasn't / isn't an exploit. There's no way to purposefully make it happen, it's just a random occurrence and yet again, what way is there to monitor it? Should they just ban all players that run one of the most popular perks in the game?
The DH comparison was wrong, i apologise. But the SB exploit needed specific followup actions. That's monitorable.

They don’t have enough 2nd chance perks. DS is much needed at 60 seconds. You making this statement right here pretty much proves killers are able to prevent people from playing the game. You’re telling me that the guy got off the hook less than 60 seconds ago and you’re already on him again? And that seems fair to him right? He’s having a lot of fun not being able to regroup with his team or work on objectives once again because you’re just All over him. Yeah okay. You’re making yourself look bad complaining about DS once again like every other bad player out there. Just find someone else, this is a GAME after all. You don’t write the rules just because you’re the killer. Just do your best to keep them all on their toes and if they make it they make it, if they don’t they don’t. But just use deer stalker and slug him until the minute wears off lol there’s always another way. Just because you can’t get your easy kill you whine? But why should the game let you rehook people that fast? Faster than 1 minute? Is that guy enjoying the game? Or did they make this game to please the killer only? Hmm.
Well, does the killer got a perk ro revert a part of a gen passively to create pressure by having a perk? No, ruin got nerfed.
-
Moris and keys will be nerfed, i'm pretty sure. But at the same time i don't see the problem.

I've usually experienced otherwise, but I've been playing at purple ranks rather than red.
I can certainly imagine leaving the survivor in-game but just not doing anything when the player behind them DCs could fix this, though.
Yeah the husk system could solve this.

Okay? Survivor DCs are VERY inconsequential. The killer loses out on a bit of BP and a little bit of chaser/malicious emblem, but ultimately the game goes the same as if the survivor killed themself on hook. As I said earlier, I don't really care what the final decision is for survivor DC penalties, because survivors DCing doesn't matter much at all.
Survivor DCs matter. One DC is often the difference between a pip and a blackpip.

"Stealing BP" is a stretch - the survivors all get the 5000 points for escaping instantly, keep their offerings, and are able to start into a new game immediately. They wouldn't exactly be earning Boldness or Altruism points if the killer where to just AFK, either.
Even if you leave out that argument there are still the survivor DCs.

Bubba buffs woop woop!

I was more referring to killer, as I said earlier, survivors really have no need to DC in most cases where the game isn't being held hostage because of how quickly they can kill themselves.
You've somehow gotten the erroneous impression I play a lot of survivor - I occasionally touched it but found holding M1 for a minute+ at a time boring as hell.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1144664#Comment_1144664
That's pretty debatable. If a killer where to just stop playing instead of disconnecting, would the survivors be any less screwed? They now need to spend even more time to get out of the trial and back into que. Is that what we want to encourage?
As survivor you basically screw your team by ragequitting, if the killer got sum brain. As killer you steal the survivors BP, because their match is usually going well.
-
He lacks the ability to down people. Build-in enduring would be good for him.
-
I kinda like this, definitly would be worth a shot on the PTB. Especially the new UR would be really cool for curving.
-
You're screwing four people, if you DC. Every DC should be punished.

You don't even know if they're banning them or not, and about SB and DH, you also don't know if they got banned, so you can't just comment this.
I know for sure, that DH and SB exploiters got no bans. The devs announced it at that time and just said: "Please don't exploit guys.". Yeah very helpful.
Additionally somebody stated here, that you shouldn't use a specific addon of a specific killer, if you don't wanna get banned. So i guess someone received bans here.
My post just said it would be really biased to ban killers for using exploits and leaving survivors alone, IF this is true.
-
I'm starting to think that this was exactly their goal, because her bugs and every feedback got ignored by the devs for the past couple of months.

It's not really about that, but I see where u come from. Imo they should simply disable addons and perks till fixed.
That would be the easiest andbest solution.
-
SWF over Killers over Solos
The main problem is the devs not even trying to give solos the same information that swf gets and then balancing killers around it. Solos and killers suffer while SWF players have fun.
-
They're banning spasmodic users? Ok then, how many sprintburst or infinite DH exploiters got banned? None. GG devs, totally not survivor sided.
-
If i get bullied with him 24/7 because his gameplay design is crappy i'm just gonna keep playing nurse.
-
The skill of the players you go against definitly matters. Billy is op against bad and mediocre survivors, but a joke against good ones.
-
It is. A 4v1 game is basically inviting bullys to do their thing tho.
-
You're right. They need to rework the offerings, but that's not the priority rn.

I dont want to start conflict here but if you're being beaten by survivors who just panic drop pallets and dont even loop you are either brand new or awful at killer.
And the ones that drop down every pallet on thompson house? And wait till you break it or bloodlust for thirty seconds?

I swear to god the people on here are so ######### overdramatic it's not even funny.
Just because something is in the bad spot doesn't mean that the game is dying.
So please.
"Bad spot" is not the right description. Nerfed into a bad spot seems good.
-
Because killer gameplay feels way more competetive. So the people mainly playing killer are more focused to win (4k/pip) than the survivor side.
-
It's Freddy for sure.

Imagine Trapper running at 165%.

4ked against 3 man swf. All swf members have over 1 000 hours and there s one solo player with 150h.
They struggled to fix 2 gens by the way thanks to "nerfed" ruin.
But i guess those survivors just did some mistakes which led them to total destruction.
How would the game went, if you lost ruin in the first 20 seconds?
Ruin+Surveillance is really good, but a bet just like old ruin. Except old ruin only needed one perk slot.
-
@Keezo said:
You think the survivor cares that the killer can see their aura? Only time Object has any downside is against a stealth killer.
Nope. But the devs do, that's why the implemented that "downside".
-
I would probably pay 20 bucks for an actual cool and good killer with a nice design and a new mechanic. And bug fixes, many bug fixes.
