I mean, saying that DH was designed to counter old Nurse is quite a bold statement. Let alone that the Interaction between Nurse and DH did not change at all with the Rework, Nurse is still able to blink on top of Survivors.
And well, reaction DH... Does not work.
Worked quite good for me. It will be possible for everybody again if BHVR makes DH server sided.

This is simply another post wanting a survivor perk ability nerfed into the ground. These are getting old.
Well, it's more of a question than a complain, but okay.

OP has to go for every strawman possible to justify the creation of this Thread.

Completely false. A skilled survivor is not using Dead Hard until you swing. An average survivor panic Dead Hards after the first blink.
This. It's called reaction DH.

Uh I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. The first part of your post seems to be saying that Dead Hard didn't change when Nurse was reworked even though it countered old Nurse. The second part sounds like you hate the fact that it counters new Nurse. Please elaborate?
It's a second chance against nurse and she's incredibly hard to play anyway. On top of that it got no requirements and is easy to use.
@youarewronglol said:
"but "Dead Hard", a perk that got designed to counter old nurse, remained untouched."
how did you even come to this conclusion
The odds man. DH got released after a huge outrage on several social media platforms, because old nurse was broken.
@BongRips4Wraith said:
We get it, you got dead harded a couple times in one match and now you are upset.
Dead Hard was never designed as a specific counter to Nurse. With dedicated servers, Sprint Burst is arguably better to deny line of sight and get behind a large object asap.
Using the 2nd blink, at most distances, nurse can negate dead hard and bait it out if you don't blindly spam m1 the second you blink close to a survivor.
Nurse is easily the killer that should complain about dead hard the least, you literally ignore pallets, windows, and walls if you know how survivors move. The ONLY real problem with dead hard is that you can use it for distance when you make a mistake/get greedy.
If the survivor doesn't dodge at all, you can reach him with one blink, most times you need two, no matter how good you are as nurse. Do you mainly play her?
-
I hate toxicity, player entitlement and OoO. That's pretty much it.

Mine looks way different, all i'm gonna say.

I find him unfun to play too, it feels cheap when I can get a free down just because I used my basic attack before hand.
Drop. The. Pallet. Meg.

It counters Nurse pretty hard. I can see your frustration playing as her. With other killers, its a perk that takes skill to use unlike all the other second chances, plus its counterable as killer unless its used for distance in a loop. Having interactive elements makes it fun and welldesigned imo.
Against most killers you can use it for distance sadly. And as nurse it's just another thing to consider in a chase. Just blink it out. Still a second chance in my eyes.

Its one of the best designed perks, but it needs to be clientside from the survivors pov.
It's actually one of the worst designed perks imo. It got designed to counter old nurse, but is just strong to be that versatile nowadays.
-
What do we learn from that? Main trapper or demodoggo!
-
Yeah i would promote making him 115%, but adding a short wind-up animation. That's what i said till day 1.
-
I don't think they should reduce the grind too much, but that's actually a nice idea.
-
Usernames are fine (and even funny). Profiles are the problem. Profiles should only be available after the match.

Muscle memory is rote: you eventually don't have to think about it. What IS challenging though is knowledge of the map. You have to know how much blink charge it takes to get through various objects, while at the same time predicting where the survivor will be. This all happens in about a second, and you are punished for being wrong. She is definitely tough to use, but I think her muscle memory is actually the easier part.
As for Huntress, your aim has to be on point, and you have to account for objects as well as the trajectory of the ax, and the movement of the survivor.
Yeah huntress is definitly hard too, but most times you got big time (compares t8 nurse of course) to line up a long range shot.

Difficulty of use is not a valid talking point. In any game, the best players master a character and the execution becomes whatever. I can also tell you as someone who has relatively low execution that Nurse is really more about knowledge and predictions than mechanical skill. In fact, I think Huntress is harder in terms of skill.
Nurse is way harder than huntress imo, because of the muscle memory.
-
Spirit is better, because she got way less bugs and is 100 times easier to master. Easy like that. Coming from a 1.5k hours nurse main.

As a Trapper main, so I can tell this: Good luck with picking traps on the other side of the map, on the upper floor (because other side of the map isnt far enough)
Though if traps spawn around middle of the map, he's good on it.
Yeah, forgot about that one, you're right.

If the game is "balanced" with an exception of "skilled players" than it's not really balanced... A game can have good players and still be balanced, you just have to balance the game properly.
I talk about 5000+ hours. Everyone else plays a balanced game. So literally everyone.
-
1 Hadonfield, 2 Hadonfield, 3 Hadonfield...
Jk, now on topic: if you hate that map just play trapper, he's pretty good on it.
-
Maybe people just change their opinions? I think the game is pretty balanced now, except for some stupid items/offerings and really skilled players.
-

How are those Perks good? Those are pretty bad Perks for Spirit IMO. Spirit mainly needs Information Perks and maybe Slowdown Perks. You have somewhat of Information with Thrill and Rancor, but that is nowhere decent. NOED and Haunted dont do anything for Spirit.
And well, you are not even Devotion 1, so you are pretty new to the game. Quite logical that you will have struggles at the beginning, but I dont understand why people complain about balance when they are new to the game. Because you cannot know any better.
This. Information is everything on spirit. She's pretty strong and easy to master, so you shouldn't complain about imbalance while playing her. Do it while maining the sweet bubs.
EDIT: Just interested, do you play spirit mainly OP?
-
Hag is fine. She's highly tactical on high ranks and is pretty difficult to master. My style.
-
I rarely miss it.
-
They overnerfed her to look if people would accept and overcome it. Looks like it turnaäs out that nurse has one of the lowest pickrate and the lowest killrate in all ranks at the moment. Good job BHVR.
-
TT got a CD. Without it i would prefer it probably, except for killers like nurse, that rely on distance information for quick chases. But 60 seconds man. Not cool.

@Blueberry said:
It's currently one of the better balanced perks. I don't think it needs buffs. It's a risk vs reward, what the other second chance perks should be.
This. Deliverance is strong, but nobody complains about it, because it got pretty fair conditions. It's just too strong combined with overpowered second chances.
-
If you really really hate spirit with stridor, you can combine "No Mither"&"Iron Will" or "Off the Record"&"Iron Will".
But you can alternatively just work on your counterplay/guesses tho.
-
At the moment the first gens don't matzer and just buy you time to setup/create pressure by hooking.
-
That's the problem of DS. You don't even have to use it to get the benefit.
-
...when they got the perk "Any means necessary!" equipped! BOOM!
Seriously i don't think that's a good idea, BHVR should just create balanced maps.

Instead of whining and making a full useless post about your whining;
make a list of the issues nurse has so people understand what you mean
Well, you're a bit rude, but i'll do it, although there are already many posts in the bug forum and examples on youtube&reddit.
First come the gamebreaking bugs:
- not being able to perform your second/third blink for the duration of the match
- not being able to blink AT ALL for the duration of the match
Now the hindering bugs:
- not being able to perform your second/third blink sometimes
- random blink distance reduction
- various deadzones on many maps (too many to count, the middle of sanctum; the space around the center of lery's and a few parts of hawkins are just examples)
- after getting stunned by a pallet (most times, sometimes random), nurse gets a double/triple fatigue
At last the annoying, but not hindering bugs:
- the hand of the nurse performs a slowed/speeded version of the blink charge animation when charging your blink
- the sensivity in fatigue is greatly reduced sometimes
There you go, that are the ones i see quite often, i think my fellow nurse mains got a bunch to add.
-
@NotDBD said:
Hmm, this might just be me but I haven't really seen a lot of people talk about it on the forums. I was always aware they were in the game, especially ones like the Sanctum stairs, but I imagine it is not high up there on the priorities sadly :(
She's fallen and she can't get up!
No seriously, the cooldown introduced a lot of new bugs that never got looked at. :(

Getting used to her mechanics on ps4 is very difficult thanks to some frame drop and control issues but nurse has been a joy to play. My only question is how come her plaid flannel isnt a base power for her kit? It doesnt really give that big of an advantage and helped only on bow ling to keep my charges
The reason "Plaid Flannel" is not baseline is, that it's actually a hindrance to good nurse players, because it sometimes blocks LoS and got some bugs (of course).
She's enjoyable if you are good with her tho.
-
Somebody watching ussylis i see.
On topic: Yes it needs buffs.

I play as Claudette all the time and I’m also a killer wraith. But I’m not like those toxic Claudettes most Claudettes I don’t like tho cause it feels weird to be a blendette group in a match.
That's why i wrote: "most" :)
-
Yeah why not. The numbers need tweaking of course, but the idea is pretty solid!
-
More Jane because of her thicc head.
Less Claudette cuz most players don't play her because they actually like the character.
-
I've done the evil incarnate achievement a few weeks ago by try-and-error. It's horrific, i tell you that.
-
It's a bad perk. Would be niche without the CD. Alternatively it could trigger map wide.
-
@HollowsGrief said:
Honestly he is a weaker version of huntress overall. He isn't a bad killer but you counter him just the same as huntress by rushing gens as hard as you can, he is a 110 killer with no map pressure abilities.
That's pretty much it. He does everything huntress does but worse. Less snowballpotential, less chase potential, less map pressure (due to limited range).

She looked in the direction that object was lighting up in and ran towards you. That's how. You can easily triangulate a killers position with object even if they have undetectable.
That's the reason undetectable didn't fix object. In my opinion object is overpowered as it is and at least shouldn't get free premonition.
-
Keys are overpowered in three gen scenarios and if only one survivor is left. Some killers need to three gen every match, because it's the best option in high ranks, for example trapper or hag. Keys just make those killers unplayable. I see a key? Cool another nurse match.
Moris are overpowered in literally every situation, becauae they allow instant tunneling with negation of 66% of a survivors hook stages. And it don't got any limitation except for hooking.
-
Yeah i also dislike that he is not skillbased (power-wise) and gets so much for free.
-
If it wouldn't be such a gamble i would run it everytime. Sadly OoO got build-in Premonition so it's not worth it, especially not becauae its a hex.
-
Just make the duration two minutes and let it work on both hook stages, but it gets deactivated if the survivor does anything except running away. Or another DS gets activated.
-

Prove that you have multiple Decisive Strikes active at once.
It rarely happens. And I doubt you're getting lobbies with 2+ people running it because I run SWF through the DBD Discord and not many people even consider using it and/or not many people have it.
As killer i rarely get a lobby with less than two DS and i run in pretty much everytime as solo. Just my experience in red ranks.

You could easily 3 gen or abuse "Make your Choice" for example.
With CD addons he can already do that tho. It would be cool when they would apply the CD only on the portal connection that has been used last. They could also higher the minimum space between two portals.
-
I main nurse, although she's bugged and getting ignored for months. At least the devs fixed some of her deadzones in the last patch.
-
I don't understand why he got a CD on his teleporting at all honestly. Maybe against proxy-camping?
