I can imagine it is way harder to spot people using the Sprint Burst Bug.

With Wake Up, it is much easier, because this Perk was not used at all (expect by a really small amount of people) before the Bug. But Sprint Burst was Meta before. And even if someone starts running midchase, you never know if it is exploiting or someone who has 99% his Exhaustion to make it "activate" when in chase.

    That's actually fairly easy.

You can spot the difference between an abuser and a simple Sprint burst user by 2 things:

1- You met the survivor for the first time and they use it against you. There's literally no reasons for them to use the 99% trick since they were probably saving Sprint Burst from the start.

"But what if they used it by mistake?" How much time passed from the start of the trial? Did 40 seconds even pass to remotely consider the exhaustion timer at level 3? If not, than the answer it's quite obvious.

2- Exhaustion still last a fair bit even after the timer ends. To make it start again you literally have to stop running so that it depletes fully. Those who abuse it makes it obvious by the fact that you can barely notice them stopping to activate it.

If a 100% legal in-game item will settle the score with bug exploiters, I'm all in.

I previously only used mories for daily rituals and against teams of 4 Claudettes, but I think now's the time to take them off the shelf.

Go ahead. I just got my first victim, not surprised he DC when I was just about to mori him. Are people really not expecting killers to counter-attack this by using all of the cheap #########? How pathetic.

  • @GrootDude said:

They also didn’t do anything about tinkerer2 and the legion blade bug that came around with the wake up bug.

There was a big difference with the original legion blade bug and the wake up bug.

They were different, but both were making the game hell at the same time. You couldn't counter any of this and forced me to play Nurse only with the Wake Up bug and straight up DC against the double blade bug, even tho I highly despise it.

  • @Condorloco_26 said:

Since almost everyone is doing this right now on every single match, I think it's time to take the dust off those total 250 or so ebony mories across all my killers.

I am and will always be against Mori, but in this occasions (Like the Wake Up bug) I will walk around using Ebony mori but with the rule of using it only on people abusing Sprint Burst on me. Toxic? Maybe. But do I really have a choice in the matter?

    What's going on now?

Haven't played in a little while, I usually use Balanced Landing cause it's better

Some players are abusing a bug that allow to not activate Sprint burst while you start running. Basically making a better working Dead Hard with little to no counterplay.

  • I smell the presence of a prayer beads bracelet user here.

  • Dusting off this thread a bit. It needs attention!

GREAT NEWS! Scorpionz is now aiding me in the creation of this thread with his concepts and ideas! Having a 4000 hours pig main will surely profit in the success of the thread! (We created the new reworked Rule Set No. 2, hopefully some other interesting changes will come out soon!)

UPDATE: After some concerns regarding the Syringe... I added 10 seconds of CD to make it more balanced.

Added a new version of Rule Set No. 2 following the concern of some players regarding the effect to be too strong or problematic to be baseline.

  • I thought "Exposed" status effect revealed your position. I was extremely terrified when I saw that and tried to run in a map's corner to avoid being chased.

  • The RNG is pretty simple actually. The systems checks how many Jigsaw boxes are present in the game and pick one out of them randomly. This means that a Survivor has 25% chance of guessing at the first try at 4, 20% at 5 and 16.66% at 6.

But still, focus on the add-ons. We're getting a bit OT.

  • Sorry, the single hit was meant for the hit action and not counting the two. You still get my point tho.

  • What is a brutality?

I'd rather not have anything relying on RNG anymore in the game. Pig's boxes are good enough proof of inconsistency and I would honestly hate dying to the 0,9% after one single hit.

And I dare say that even when playing Killer having something like this would make me feel dirty.

  • Thank you guys so much for feedback! Keep it going!

Not a fan of Interlocking Razor indicating survivor's location. It encourages tunneling.

I'd trade it for giving the survivor Broken Status for 60s instead of a location reveal.

That would be enough to threaten the survivor.

Not sure, I don't think it'll be effective as a tunneling tool since she's not Billy, Spirit or Nurse. It's a good way to know where the survivor is and will probably leave the area as soon as he/she realize Pig has my version of interlocking razor. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Update: I've decided that Heroine Syringe is way too strong in this interaction so I decided to tone it down by decreasing the range of it.

    That's way overpowered.

Imagine combo'ing that with Make Your Choice, Dying Light, Haunted Grounds, NOED, etc.,

The amount of hook camping that it would encourage would be legendary, rivaling that of Leatherface basement build.

Pig can, much like Wraith, negate Borrowed Time, so hook camping is much more doable with Pig.

Sure, you'll depip like Tombstone Myers, but...

    I mean...

You can just get RBT on everyone, then just kill the unlucky dude and you'll have only one, maybe two survivors left. Throw in Dying Light to the mix and... Oof, jeez.

At the VERY least, Mori can't cause the chain reaction deaths.

You have a good point... not sure if it's a good idea to have something like that now.

  • @TWiXT said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/558107#Comment_558107

Or you could wait for the mid-end game wherein you've already hooked everyone at least once before you start putting the traps on them, and then chase down and kill one via sacrifice or Mori to set them all off. It would definitely be difficult to pull off, but so rewarding when you do. You'd have to change up your tactics when using it, and it would be crazy powerful against those super altruistic teams of survivors who hook rush like no tomorrow.

I really like all of your other suggestions too, I just thought I'd give you one of mine to consider.

And that's super appreciated! I also added a quote to the new ultra-rare add-on since you did as well. Think it fits?

Personally I would like to see

    New Add-on: Electronic Lock

A tamper proof lock that prevents its users from accessing it until its active.

DESCRIPTION: This lock prevents the survivor from removing the RBT until the trap is activated.

The idea behind this is right now gens can be ignored or 99% till survivors remove the traps by checking the boxes while the trap is deactivated making the pigs chances of getting a GAME OVER kill highly unlikely as the survivors are never in danger of the trap even powering on unless a Gen Rush is going on. This would make it so you can't remove the trap until its Active putting the survivor in a bit more danger.

An alternative idea would be an ultra rare add-on that actives the timer the moment the trap is placed. Of course already being downed the trap would not start the timer till unhooked but still the need to find a box would be more pressing with that kind of add-on.

    Thoughts?

I forgot to mention you lol. Yeah this could be actually a nice idea.

    @TWiXT said:

Although i like the idea of changing pigs dash attack to be instant, I feel like it wouldn't be worthy of filling in the Ultra-rare category. It would be great as an alternative to the Very Rare add-on "Amanda's Secret" as that add-on is just garbage the way it currently is. Your alternative for it is already nice though..

Here's an alternative add-on idea I've had for a while to replace Rules Set No.2 If it were made part of the pigs base kit:

Heart Monitor Trigger - Ultra Rare

Reverse Bear Traps become active with no timer after a survivor with one attached is unhooked. Once a survivor with an Active RBT is killed or sacrificed, all other active RBT's Trigger.

-Tremendously increases the time it takes a survivor to search Jigsaw Boxes.

-Considerably increases skill check difficulty when a survivor searches a Jigsaw Box.

"His heart stops, you die!" - Amanda Young

This changes the power so that you can chain RBTs Triggering on survivors. They don't activate until a survivor is unhooked, which puts pressure on any survivors with an already active RBT to either risk having another survivor running around with another active one, or leave them on the hook. Since the RBT's have no timers, they are more difficult to remove at jigsaw boxes. It also focuses the killer on trying to trap everyone and then quickly kill one to cause all of the others RBT's to trigger. It may not slow down gen progress anymore, but its a major threat to everyone who has an active RBT and should encourage the team to help each other try and remove them. Overall its a different effect for the RBT mechanic from the standard one that will change the way the match plays. In all honesty though, I get the impression that if you pull off killing one with an Active RBT only 1 other survivor at most will fall victim to the chain reaction since trying to get all 4 at once will be unlikely with the current Jigsaw box RNG. What do you think of this alternative?

First thing first I love that you quoted Amanda from the actual movie, but I feel like this could be very difficult to pull off to actually make it effective. This would require a combination of perks to instantly down people as soon as possible to trap all of them, which is hard since well... it's still Pig.

  • It would be nice if the plants could be shared with other survivors since Claudette is canonically altruistic.

  • @Blue_Diamond said:

I'm concerned about the broken syringe. You said 1.5 meter/meters. This is confusing. Does it add 1.5 meters total or 1.5 meters per meter already, effectively giving her ambush 150% range, which seems too strong for a common addon?

I like these ideas, but I have always wanted more addons revolving around her ambush attack and not just her traps

The Pig cover a distance of 16 meters, with the add-on she would cover a distance of 17.5 meters. That's it.

    @TAG said:

I worry two extra might be a tad excessive since using Pig's current selection as a comparison, going Bag + Crate lets her have 3 extra Uncommon add-ons on top of that. Perhaps that isn't as problematic as I would worry, who knows. I think it's a big step in the right direction, at least. There is a small slowdown add-on at Common, a conditional large slowdown add-on and an extra Trap add-on at Uncommon, a Rare add-on that combines the Common and an Uncommon, and a Very Rare that combines an Uncommon (or two) with another upgrades Uncommon. Seems like a nice spread.

They could, but it wouldn't be that powerful considering that you're giving up effects like slowing down heals or anything else just to have some more traps. Perhaps I can make so that they do not stack? But I don't think it would be a good idea. Thanks for the feedback as always :D

    I'll check it out, thanks.

    Rigged Timer

    Very Rare Add-on

RBT activates the second its placed on a survivor's head. The timer is increased by another 30 seconds.

I don't feel that Pig needs more add-ons other than Ultra rare one that was given to just compensate the loss of Rule Set No. 2 honestly.

  • CHANGES: Added Bag and Crate of Gears to the list with modified values for better consistency.

@TAG I've listened to your feedback and I thought that the most ideal buff would have been an increased amount of available traps. A Bag of gears would contain enough staff to create one more trap, a Crate instead would be sufficient for 2.

  • @TAG said:

Oops, I misread Razor Wire and didn't notice that they had to be Injured. That still seems like it would undercut Crate of Gears pretty badly, as it still is quite capable of slowdown either through its own effect or through having to stop to heal. Again, the Trap placing speed is a negligible buff. All Crate would really be good for is doubling up with it. I would make Workshop Grease and Razor Wire do something else, personally.

Iridescent Head is really only problematic when you give her extra Hatchets to mitigate the downside. In a vacuum, I would consider this to be more problematic. Increasing the cooldown would not be good enough by itself, and idk how I feel about the ambush cooldown also activating on basic attacks; it seems like it would make using it extra clunky.

My thought was too make Razor Wire a good add-on to combo with stuff like Utility Blades or Rusted attachments. I will now add Bag and Crate of gears to have them buffed.

What's your idea for the Grease?

  • @TAG said:

What would be the point of Bag and Crate of Gears if your ideas for Workshop Grease and Razor Wire existed except to effectively double up on them? The speed increase in putting on Traps is barely relevant, so you're pretty much making nearly identical add-ons at lower rarities.

Razor wire penalty only applies on injured one, Crate applies regardless of the status and decreases the time it takes to put the mask on too. Maybe I can give a slight buff or change to Bag? But I don't see how Crate is in need of a buff... what would you change?

@TAG To avoid double posting i'll mention you here: Heroine Syringe has too be that powerful since it's an Ultra-add-on... Perhaps I can increase the cooldown to 20-25 seconds to balance it out? Or maybe make it that the cooldown starts even when hitting a survivor with a base attack. It's not as broken as Iri-Head.

And we're saying he shouldn't expect that.

If you don't like that, it's not my problem.

Doesn't mean there's the necessity to attack the OP. You are both at fault for assuming something totally different the OP tried to explain without giving him a chance to. Least thing you should do is apologizing but hey, being civil isn't for everyone.

And to on point with the argument. I try to farm some points even with playing seriously @semaj_leachim , it's the smartest thing to do when there's at least 2 cakes or streamer in the offerings. You gotta understand that not everyone needs BP and will play at their best regardless of your feelings.

  • @FrenziedRoach and @Orion Go take a ######### break will ya? You guys are being simpletons and especially rude. OP is not saying that killers or survivors should farm when a cake or a streamer is activated.

What he's trying to say is that they should play seriously AND be smart about it by doing things that can grants more point for each side without taking away the real meaning of the game.

This is also true. Sabotating isn't fun and doesn't work most of the time... I wonder if the devs ever considered removing it as a mechanic or just rework it from scratch.

This would be absolutely dreadful and make survivor even more boring to play.

  • @Peanits said:

It would definitely be possible, sure. Admittedly it would be a fairly low priority change since there's more pressing issues we'd like to address first. I could let the team know.

On a personal note, I sorta' like having it there. I carelessly spend bloodpoints and it let's me know to stop when I've hit 50.

Thanks for the super fast answer, wow.

I get your point but I'm pretty sure that after sometime you level up a killer you do not wish to prestige it would become annoying. Perhaps just make it appear 5 times instead of endlessly?

  • Interesting concept. But if you really want to penalize survivors you should run Thanathophobia. That thing is absolutely devastating on Plague since the meta is not to cleanse... and those few people that do cleanse are only playing your game.

Believe me, as long as DS consistently punishes ONLY tunneling, I'd gladly have it stun the killer for 20 seconds with a big foam finger of shame pointing to the killer from the skies.

That is what I'm aiming for. A shame people are down voting the post without trying to read it first just because there's the word "Change". Ugh.

  • @Mochan said:

What the heck is this drivel.

    Are you still getting surprised?

  • @gantes said:

Taking into account that nothing in this game will ever make everyone happy and we should be aiming to have a small, healthy amount of complaint to both sides, I agree that the time could be shorter and stop during a chase. That pushes the perk more towards the anti-tunnel identity and stops punishing people who don't tunnel.

I still think it's fine right now though.

It is absolutely fine. But my idea was that if I was to rework the perk and halve the time down, then it deserved a little compensation in the stun power to make it true to it's nature: Discourage tunneling.

It's an interesting cycle, really. I don't like when my team of solos and I gen rush because it does mean less points for everyone, but at the same time we're getting killers with moris and their best addons where the only solution actually IS to genrush. Both sides are bringing out their sweatyness and it just leads to unfun matches or survivors just farming each other nonstop till everyone dies or last one gets hatch.

Exactly. Each side is so done with the others they bring all of the strongest stuff, creating an ever-ending cycle of "Oh they tryhard during the event, then I might as well".

  • Both sides here are at fault.

Survivors for carrying stuff like instaheals, "crutch perks" or very strong toolboxes to genrush.

Killers for carrying moris (which I personally think is the worst thing of all), extremely strong/non-counterable add-ons.

We're nothing but the consequences of a community that decides to ruin everyone's experience even during an event that should make us cheerish the fun times we have on DBD.

  • This thread seems kind of pointless. Nurse will not be changed regardless of how the community feels about her. Her add-ons are problematic but that will be fixed shortly in the next days

I want to point out however that this streamer (which is very well known to hate and complain a lot...a fog whisperer too... ugh.) only focused on complaining about the "OP" perks but also did many mistakes during the game you bookmarked for us. It's obviously the survivor fault if he misses 5 blinks in a row, what a joke.

Sure, mettle used to be OP and got butchered but... Dead hard? Seriously? You can just avoid attacking after the first/second blink and they'll waste it in panic. Killers in the high ranks have gotten so used to it that they do not lunge anymore, rendering it useless most of the time.

Tl.dr: Nurse is strong but her add-ons makes her very difficult to deal with but not unbeatable, she does get relatively close to be unbeatable with the right power ups and combination of perks. If you get beat with such powerful add-on it's your fault. And this is coming from a Nurse main that knows exactly what he's talking about.

1 2 3 4 5 6 … 9
