Someone being petulant doesnt justify anything..otherwise ds shouldnt be allowed to be meta relevant as it's the most bm thing in this game presently...iri heads requires both addon slots to even be semi good vs decent players and even then once you know they have them..its sad how easy it is to avoid
If it was occasional that I would just ignore it. But if people start seing common pattern with huntress' using this add-on than assuming everyone does behave like this is but the most common of consequences.

Technically 3 blink nurse still exists.
And that's not quite amount of blinks that let nurse stay on top of everyone. It was range and blinking speed.
Also team of 4 survivors with toolboxes looked more intimidating that 4 survivors with medkits, and still do.
But yeah, I can see what you mean.
True, it does. But it's not a way to bully survivors anymore since the add-on is more than an hindrance now.
About the second part? 3 blinks with ataxic respiration were disgusting to face, not to mention 4.

Yes it should and it's no big deal, base huntress has horrible wind up speed..if you cant avoid that well..you got played
The thing is it's used more to bully or be an ######### rather than how strong it is. I have yet to see an Huntress who doesn't behave like a ######### child after they win with Iri-head
-
People want to be able to bully other people because they're very sad human beings. That's it
-
Also, people crying so much over an add-on smh. You still got yourself a viable strong killer.

killer mains, because we matter as well, without us, you have no games
I'm sorry but that's the perfect example of a mentality that needs to stop.
You wouldn't have your pretty little killer to play as if it weren't for survivor players. If I were to be a developer and read what you just wrote I'd be extremely offended and disappointed.
Stop trying to act like you're the only part of the game that matter, that's so rude.
-
I feel like I'm the weirdo here since I enjoy her even more with this new add-ons. The power cool down could use some look at, I agree...
As I wrote in my guide they are very much important now since the blink management is very limited now.
-
Anything that forces me to use perks I despise are going to be terrible for me.

Surely its this guy?
The estate was bought by the first of the Yamaoka, a shipwreck survivor, who came from a distant ashy island. He washed ashore just as political tensions sparked the flames of war.
Yamaoka joined the battlefield and unleashed hell on his foes. No one could match the raw fury of his Katana, which elevated him to a legend. They say his devilish mask haunted the dreams of all men.
Well... guess we're going to have a Oni themed killer.
-
To be honest this was to be expected.
Her power just allowed too much stuff, the change was unfortunately needed for the health of the game.
If you struggle, you can check the recent guide I wrote for Nurse... this may help you out a bit!
-
A mori is enough for me to die inside.
Also, any busted add-on like prayer beads or iri head just ######### sucks to face.

Because her power reflects your skill level with it. Now it has extreme limitors on it that will ruin her viability.
I honestly enjoyed her power as. I find it to be the most fun power in the game. I'm not liking the purposed changes at all.
As many other experienced Nurse players, I did destroy without pity a ton of groups of survivors. This changes were needed because less than average Nurse players were abusing the hell out of her with broken add-ons that took out all the skill needed to play her.
The limitors are, for what I perceived, not much of a deal as long as you know what you're doing. If she's too weak than she will be changed on the PTB, have faith.

Playing with your friends is fine, if the game was DESIGNED around it. They did not make this game thinking we would have tactical squads on comms like we do today. It is most certainly broken at higher elo if you aren't playing one of the top 3 killers. You will just not have a good time. At all.
I don't play this game competitively. Not anymore, stresses me too much. You guys try and have fun and everything will change for the good.
I play Nurse, does this mean I'm a tryhard? Absolutely not, I just enjoy her no matter what. I can't rofl-stomp a group of people? That's fine, it's my fault.
-
How are people have friends to play with?! They should be bAnNeD!
No, seriously. Get a grip, we didn't even tried her out. Just because she cannot be used anymore as a "Survivor bully" doesn't mean #########.
-
Don't be like this.
If anything, they'll change stuff on her that was too harsh or too strong. There's still a lot of time to make changes on her.
-
A.
She will still retain a good portion of potential. But I think that she will finally step down from the "Use this killer to absolutely destroy" pedestal.
I mean, the thing that I keep reading of people blackmailing players with their "Omega-blink"/"5 Blinks" Nurse was depressing as a Nurse main. If this changes... it's just better judgement over all.
-
@Tzeentchling9 said:
How about the base power though?
Gotta be honest, they seemed scary at first but considering my experience with blinks I don't think this will be a problem... and if I do miss, then I deserve to be punished.
I'll gladly enjoy anything that makes her harder as long as I get to enjoy her. As I stated many times before, I will play Nurse no matter what since I love her aesthetically.
-
I play survivor at red ranks, every season.
Against high rank killers, except very rare cases such as Rancid abattoir, medium vaults will always result in getting hit since killers know how to chase and apply extreme pressure using jukes.
I think you should step down from your pretty pedestal and accept facts.
-
Offensive name.
Apparently, the name "cruel confinement" was relatable to abusive ownership of living beings such as animals or humans.
-
Lmao, medium-vaults are garbage and usually get you hit, not to mention most of the time you do this accidentally when it should have a been a fast-vault.
-
Nurse main here to the rescue.
Buff? Sorry to disappoint but Nurse is and has been the strongest killer in the game from her release, she is likely to receive a nerf soon if you ask me (and for good reasons too). What you need to do is just getting used to how she works and you'll be gucci.
Let's take this one step at the time:
The "Disorientation" matter: This has to exist, it balances out the tremendous potential Nurse has by ignoring most of the stuff that Survivor have to defend themselves with. You can soft-counter this by using Shadowborn, the FOV helps greatly tracking survivors post blink.
The "Flashlight" matter: I'm gonna drop the bomb here. If you allow survivors to get to blind you THAT'S YOUR FAULT. Nurse is one of the killers that has the privilege of not giving a ######### about flashlights during chases, if you keep getting blinded while picking a survivor than stop picking them without checking your surroundings first (or just look at a wall while picking someone up). Flashlights are extremely niche at this point of the game and any killer complaining about them is probably not as good as they think they are.
"Bodyblocking": I don't exactly get what's the problem here. It requires 3 survivors to be hit and a medium-long walk to a hook to drop the survivor you just picked up, start looking at your feet more instead of looking straight up at the hook. Also, I think I got that you usually camp the "toxic survivor", this is plain stupid and a waste of potential of the Nurse power.
Tl.dr: You can ignore everything you just written as long as you practice more. Nurse is not getting a buff, or ever will get one.
-
Decisive Strike.
I usually keep the killer busy for long if I get to be chased. I don't like being punished for it so... I'm kinda forced to bring this little fella with me :3
Also Balanced Landing.
While for Killer I love bringing Dark Devotion and Whispers.

We've taken suggestions in the past. The Save the Best for Last rework was a community idea, originally. A lot of the time we'll get inspiration from ideas created by the community, tweak them as necessary (try to make sure they're not exploitable), try them out and iterate from there.
The issue isn't having no clue how to change them, it's just a matter of time. There's only so much we can do at once and we have to figure out what's the priority. With this past mid-chapter, that was the Nightmare rework. Reworking a killer completely takes a huge amount of time, so we have to cut back on perk changes.
In short, we've got a long list of stuff we want to do, it's just a matter of finding the time to do all of it.
Interesting. So... one day there could be a potential general rework patch just dedicated to the perks just as you did for Freddy?
-
Dark Devotion will be little to no use having such a huge terror radius. Keep in mind that you always want to keep the terror radius with you while playing Doc so I'd probably change that to Overcharge instead. Just by having Madness level 2 Overcharge will be a huge nuisance to anybody!
-
I wish it was removable by settings. I feel it too sometimes especially when I do a blink attack with Nurse or Phantasm attack with Hag.
It happened just once to me with Nurse that I blinked point-blank to a Claudette, chances are that another survivor was just behind that Claudette and my attack, for some reasons, decided to rotate a fully 180° to hit the other guy instead because... reasons? I admit It was kinda of hilarious but it's often more detrimental than beneficial.
-
I find it to be similar to Scratched Mirror Myers. It has extremely good potential on certain maps and barely no use to others.
I do not consider it strong enough to be an ultra-rare however.
-
Holy ######### the entitlement of some people I just read in this thread. "Just don't exist 4head, killer won't tunnel you"
To OP: Unfortunately there's little you can do about it. The new rank system is flawed on both sides and the only positive thing about this is that killer, most certainly, will depip too.
-
@Kind_Lemon said:
I happily dissent, and I am in particular disagreement over the necessity of your 4th point. MORE killers should have add-ons with downsides. That way, the developers can do more crazy stuff with add-ons and not have to worry about making a killer OP. A killer would just be different, not better or worse with add-ons (there are, of course, exceptions to the rule).
Maybe, or maybe not.
The pattern of add-ons having a downside should be applied to all killers following your point, which in most cases it's not. The idea of having downsides means that an add-on has to be strong/very strong and most of the time this downsides can be easily avoided.
Just look at how Iri-head/Infaltry Belt is.
-
I'm upping this. There's so many discomfort in the recent discussions about nurse I wish this to be read
-
"Battle of Wits" (General Survivor perk)
All pallets in the maps are replaced with Chess tablebases where the Killer and the Survivor being chased must take part of and play a game of speed chess.
If Survivors wins: A random generator pops and the survivor is immune to damage for 30 seconds.
If Killer wins: A random repaired generator returns to 0% progress and the Survivor is immediately transported to the nearest Hook.
During each game of chess, generators will be blocked by the entity until the former ends. Chess tablebases disappears after usage.
"No more crutch, this really calls for high IQ plays!" - DBD player using off-meta perks.

They’ll probably give her an extra blink ultra-rare add on.
They should just rework the achievement and make it similar to the others. Why do the Trapper, Pig and other Killers needs to do something multiple times but Nurse just has to do something once? For consistency measures I'd say: Grab/Interrupt survivors after a blink/2 blinks 15/20 times.
I hope they give it a look. I just want Nurse not to be a bringer of woe but something that needs to be respected still.

Nah I want her addons to be changed but to make them also useful not gimmicky at best in hopes for the best. As devs stated themselves - they will not go in flailing the nerf hammer without any thought put into it. Adding more than 2 blinks can be still problematic even with all the debuffs as a restriction. Plus it can also make the Nurse annoying to play as.
The solution is fairly simple, avoid more than 2 blinks. You just need one more to make Nurse barely manageable. If they keep multiple blinks than the idea of reworking the add-ons is pointless.
-
@go1gotha said:
+ addons for range should get a nerf. Too easy to get close to the survivor, leaving him no chance to somehow dodge.
But I would not remove them completely, only to reduce the effect. Or give a strong debuff on them.
Agreed. I want other add-ons to have a chance to shine as well.
-
@LordGlint said:
Just throwing this in, but having downsides to addons is actually not as uncommon as you think. Doc's shock range addons have increased charge time, as well as the speed addons for Billy and Bubba. Myers has several addons that increases the amount of stalk needed to get to T3, as well as addons that limit which tier he can get to. This is all without looking at ultra rares.
You stand correct. I will rephrase it so that I will explain myself better:
Most of Nurse add-ons are overly compensated when their power is not worth at all in some cases. This is what blocks me from using them at times.
Tremendously increase charge time? It ain't bad. But it's not worth losing a blink over and a moderately longer fatigue time.

Up.

Adrenaline is fine. People that uses it are playing the whole match with one less perk at their disposal, try changing your play-style to apply more pressure instead of asking a nerf that isn't remotely necessary.

I said it before the release.
Interesting perks, but they will be trash with the wrong numbers.
What can I do as killer in 20 seconds?
Before buffs, it needs to work first. It's no point carrying it on the killers I use if I cannot apply it in the first place.

I like Franklin’s Demise man, it can be a good time waster sometimes but it hardly “counters items” otherwise it would be a meta perk and would be used more.
But sure, I’ll go drop killer now cause you said so.
"Franklin is a troll perk"
"I like FD, It can be a good time waster"
Pick one.
There are other perks that deserve to be called troll perks such as Monstrous shrine or Insidious. Franklin's Demise is a blessing and it has the power to be gamechanging, it's up to you to make it work and create pressure... otherwise, just deal with the Instaheals or the Super commodious toolboxes on your own.

Franklin’s Demise doesn’t “Counter items” it just annoys survivors and wastes their time so they have to go pick it up. Nobody’s going to leave their insta heal or skeleton key just because they got hit with Franklins lol. It’s basically a troll perk.
You can't be serious. Do you know how powerful is to deny survivors their item? I won games because survivors insisted on trying to retrieve their items, and won many more because they lost precious seconds searching them or just giving them up.
Anyone saying FD is a troll perk really need to consider dropping killer completely. There's something else other than your precious Ruin/BBQ, try it.
@miaasma said:
franklins means that hitting a survivor with an instaheal in their hand will no longer be able to use it mid-chase, which is pretty huge
that being said, i don't think the goal of this thread should be to undervalue the impact instaheals have on the game. they're pretty stupid and i would love for them to get looked at as well
ebony moris are pretty unrivaled in terms of game impact, though
The voice of truth.
-
It's ridiculous that people are still comparing Mori, AN OFFERING, to things like Keys and Instaheals which are items; you know what counter items? Franklin's demise. You know what counters offerings? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
People trying to compare them have literally no wits or idea of how broken skipping 2 hooks phase is. Your logic is as thin as (my will to live) paper.

Thats not how I exactly meant it.
What I mean: If someone was using Wake Up, there is a 99,99% chance that the player was only using it because it was bugged.
But that cant be said about Sprint Burst, because this is a Perk which was used since the first days of DBD.
Yes, but there's a radical difference between them.
Wake Up bug was passive, Sprint burst is not. You need to do certain things to use the bug, that's intentionally taking advantage of a bug, in other words: Using an exploit that should be reportable.
