MoM was atrocious and changed pick rates for killers by a large margin in the superior ranks.
I do however think that MoM was made so strong for a reason: Ash. I saw a large number of Ash Williams and it's undeniable that many people bought him aiming for this god tier perk.

Ugh... kinda awful.
Either I find some very sweaty killers or some who do not run (also probably do not have) ruin and rq because of genrush.
I am forced to run a survivor build that ensure my survival... thinking about moving to killer perhaps, even though I know it's not going to be easy as well.
-
I hope that you'll get some very sweaty survivors then.
Good lord, can't you be nice and decent for just one weekend?
-
Both are balanced in their own ways.
Hexes are powerful (lol third seal) but risky and can be very dangerous if not taken care of.
Decisive strike is also powerful but easily avoidable by slugging.
Right now, if I have to say something that does not have a reason to exist... is the current Mettle of Man.
-
The concept isn't half bad... however it is canonicaly impossible.
It has been confirmed by the devs and the wiki that the entity feds on emotions from killers and survivors alike, mainly hope, despair and anger.
Props for the idea though.
-
Leak for the next year's valentine day event?
-
For now Enduring is still a good perk to go against it if you really want to hook them again.
Or, just do as I do, slug. Most survivors free the obsession in front of you knowing they have DS and expecting the killer to pick them up as soon as you down them. Go for this route instead:
- Down the savior
- If the guy with DS is close enough, chase them for a bit and down them again
- Go back to the hook, hook the savior. 20 or 30 seconds should have passed by the time you did the procedure.
- Stay between the slugged DS user and the guy hooked, this gives you a huge amount of time since the other survivors are forced to come for the rescue.

Blocking someone on steam does one thing, it doesn't let the blocked person add you as a friend. That's it.
The person didn't want you adding them as a friend. It doesn't mean you won't match with them again. It means nothing.
Quoting him: "I though I blocked this piece of #########". This was said regarding the game I did gift the hatch since I killed all of the other survivors which were in the same group.
-
@altruistic said:
So the streamer is entitled because they blocked you on stream, and you were permanently banned from their channel?
It was nice of you to give them the hatch. That is something almost never seen anymore.
I really don’t play the game much at all anymore, but wearing legacy and a Twitch shirt generally puts a target on your back.
It goes both ways. It isn’t just streamers. A lot of people in this community are not fun to play or interact with.
I honestly feel that blocking me when I wanted to be nice and permabanning me from the channel when I just wanted to drop by to say hi is good enough reason to make me think bad of them.
And yes, it isn't just the streamers. But you'd expect them to act more decently since they're, at a certain extent, advertising the game and showing people how it's played.
-
@Judith said:
Challenge? Most of the "streamers" I played against are not any better than other players I encounter. You people really need to stop glorifying streamers.
The streamers I meet are usually 1000+ players and sometimes even legacy so... I do think they have some skills in their pockets.
-
@Judith said:
Why do you want to be validated by a streamer? They are not any more special than regular players. Do you introduce yourself to people that don't stream in the same way?
I come from the Soul Calibur community where it is a custom thing to go and say "Hi, gg" to the streamer if you met them in the game. It's just good manners and very appreciated and I keep thinking this can happen even in this hell of a game.
@NoShinyPony I'm not backing out just because someone has a TTV in their name. I like a challenge and I think that from now I'll have myself some fun targeting them IF and only IF they're very displeasing individuals.
-
@Orion said:
Streamers are usually a bad influence on any game because most of the people who watch streams focus more on the person streaming than the game itself. Being an ######### is the easiest way to "entertain" people.
God you're so right. The difference between the ones that only care about themselves from the other who genuinely care about the game is abysmal in terms of entertainment!

I love Nurse and I hope they make smart changes to her. Add-ons are extremely problematic and I can't wait for the multiple blink add-on to finally go.
-
She's absolutely beatable... to a certain extent.
If you ever read my posts, I often vouch for the removal of every add-on that adds blinks to the base 2. Why? Simply because Nurse is good the way she is, you only have one chance to screw up which is perfectly fine.
Nurse becomes unbeatable when she starts having more than one chance to hit you. You just need 1 "Add one blink" add-on to tremendously reduce your chance of missing... that's where she becomes a problem and a nightmare to go against. Combine more than 2 blinks with long range or speed and it gets just wrong.
-
It's alright, the dedicated servers will come soon and with them also much severe punishments for disconnecting.
Also, the moment someone DC i'm sure nobody would have gotten mad at you for doing the same. 3 vs 1 with mori, Billy and most certainly ruin does not rhyme with "fun".
-
It would be useless to Kate as a perk then, since she has no exhaustion perk in her base kit. DWM as a concept is fine but it needs less CD or more duration to be worthy a perk slot.
-
Rewards for actually ranking up and something special to whoever reaches level 1, 5 and 10 of Devotion.
... And a hairstyle for Claudette with a cute white ribbon in it :3
-
Monitor & Abuse overshadows it imho. The increased FOV is nice but the reduced terror radius? That is pure sadism.
-
@not_Queen @Peanits Please :( We leader users want this change.

No comparison, and no witch hunt. I'm giving you an example of how ignoring an issue won't make it go away. I'm also not naming names, just advising you to report people who break the rules and spread toxicity so the game can be better for everyone.
I honestly already do that. But I'm used to reporting systems to never achieve to anything so I'm kinda being aloof about it knowing that it will probably not change anything.

Ignoring the issue isn't going to make it go away, just look at the Nazis in the USA. The existence of people like this needs to be pointed out, so more people report them, so they get banned, so we can have a better game for everyone who isn't like this.
Oof, comparing some political psychos to some degenerates in a game? Get your facts straight: They're wrong but no need to start a witch-hunt because some people cannot accept the fact they will lose time to time.

Right, but tbh someone has to make a post on it at least once.
Cause this happens way more often than you think in post-chat.
Boy no need to tell me that. You know it's coming where there's 3+ SWF, you just get used to it after a while :(
-
Picture this: two survivors are hooked in the basement. I saw a third one with No Mither trying to heal one of them while I was carrying them there.
You did the right thing, I also ask the survivors behaving like this in the post-game chat the very same questions, the results is as predictable as ever.
However, I ask a favor of you: Don't open threads like this, they fuel hate which is a thing we should all try to not to encourage.
-
@AntiJelly I assure you it wasn't. I used to run it and I face the perk often in the games. The size of it has been the same for all patches.

It's not a good reason because you lose literally nothing by letting the other survivors know there is Leader or Prove Thyself going on.
All of these buff perks should show up on the notification when they are in effect on you, there's no reason not to, other than Killer wanting survivors to be nerfed and doing suboptimal things more.
Leader is alerady a bad perk as it is after the rework, this buff would at least make it a solid perk to bring and not something pretty much nobody uses because you almost never get any mileage out of it.
Agreed except on the bad perk part. Speeding everything up can be of difference in a match since almost nobody cares for things such as cleansing totems or opening chests. Leader incentivize that and helps making survivor's gameplay more dynamic imho.
-
Cry of fear. Extremely scary game that is free on steam, it's good but I wouldn't recommend it for the weak of heart.

Why does Quentin's edited face reminds me so much of the paintings in the renaissance era?

Holy ######### that thing.
I'm gonna have nightmares again ;_;

Upping this up, I'd like to have a dev answering the thread.

Like @Aari_Piggy66 said above the perk only activates when you're doing a specific action that goes with said perk. I don't see how its "not good enough" for a perk that only works within 8 meters.
Because 80% of the time you're probably working on a generator by the time someone comes to you with leader of viceversa. You never know someone has it until you do those specific action which honestly doesn't make that much sense.
Let's take for example that I just unhooked someone and I've got to heal him, there's a guy slightly far away from me and, since I don't know he/she has leader and benefiting from the healing boost I heal the guy just under the hook, losing precious seconds.
Or another: We are 3 people on the last gen and complete it. Since I don't know that one of my teammates has leader I follow the other guy by mistake, not benefiting from the buff to open a gate faster.
I honestly don't see why you guys wouldn't have this type of change lol.
-
@Volfawott said:
The difference is streetwise and vigil r constant effects whilst leader only takes place when doing an action
This isn't good enough reason not to notify people when they're in the aura. People would be more inclined to cleanse totems or search chests with the speed bonus from leader! How many times you're in a match, do anything that's not repairing and be like "Oh damn this guy has leader!".
By your logic, the notification of "Streetwise" should only kick in with using an item since it affects them exclusively.

30, actually, if I understood the wiki article correctly. Still, if the survivor doesn't move after hearing her scream, they're noobs and you could chase them without even using the blink.
It's really hard to react to the blink in any case since you have an advantage of 8 meters. Usually any kind of survivor doesn't react in time when a Nurse is 4 meters away from reaching them (counting the fact that they're repairing a gen). Add a speed or range add-on and you're good to go. Top tier perk on Nurse I guarantee <3

Nope. Nurse's base blink is 20 meters (not including the second blink). Her TR with Monitor & Abuse is 24 meters.
Technically... I said "blinks", which together... by default... are 32 meters!
-
Everyone's forgetting how powerful it is on Nurse. Blinks are longer than your terror radius!
-
Thread is sad as much as people commenting "bUt THE sUrViVoR/kILlRr MaInS sAy/Do" This show how really hateful and separated the community to the point of each side assuming the other is satan itself.
Truth be told: The forum is mainly populated by people who play Killer, but there's a good portion of survivors. And contrary to most people believe there's no privilege in any of them since most of the broken things, for both sides, are getting rightfully fixed (see: Legion moonwalk, MoM, Old DS, Basement bodyblock etc.)
EDIT: It's ridiculous that I'm getting downvoted for saying the truth. Does it hurt that much? Accept the facts.
-
Not gonna lie this actually looks cute.

Meh, it would really look out of place. I like the very simple icons we have right now.
Buuut... it could be a nice input for items skins?

Honestly, just leave if they start. No reason to give them the attention they are craving. Also, remember nothing they say really effects your life. Sometimes it is hard, but do not take what is said personal.
This is the only true solution.
I had a similar situation where I was being bullied quite hard by a 4 stack, Even though I managed to kill 2 of them, the aftertaste has never been more bitter. But, after some minutes of contemplation, I thought to myself "Is being mad at something like this really that worth?".
The answer is: No, and it will never be.
-
As an avid Nurse player. I will always vouch for the removal of the extra blinks add-ons.
You need just one more blink, combined with some extra range and you completely negate the possibility of missing by an enormous margin. I have many ideas in how this could be changed for the best but... it's unlikely the devs will listen to just one Nurse main.
-
... Oh cristo
Yes, I am.

Shouldn't we call her... "NeAn?"

I don't watch JoJo.
But knowing that his name means chocolate in my language makes me cringe a bit inside.
-
I appreciated that you liked the idea of my reworked "Unrelenting" on my killer's less useful perks thread. Thanks!
-
If Killers want flashlights to break after clicking them too fast, why not eliminate mori spam too? It would be a fair trade, don't you think?
-
I concur, his new look is amazing and the onesie in the original movie was just too "baggy" and I just didn't like it.
-
Decisive strike has never been more balanced than this. A perk suited for a good purpose that is strong AND has counterplay and ways to play around it. No need for buffs or it would go back in the broken tier
-
Billy and Leatherface.
The chainsaw causes me anxiety and makes me do dumb ######### most of the time.
