damn that's a big squirrel
That squirrel looks like it's plotting something mischievous while Holly is hard at work.
-
Not toxic at all. It means the players are actually committed to their objective and sometimes it can be a sign you actually have a decent teammate in solo Q who isn't allergic to gens.

Yeah, I was never able to get the 4 man hatch escape -- and a friend and I tried for a while, but one of the other two would either die or leave. I've been on the receiving end of that one though, so I know how much it sucks, but I really wanted it. It felt like an actual challenge, considering I rarely play with a full SWF.
I do however recognize the overall health benefit to the game but... Blargh.
Despite how deceptively simple it might sound to pull off a 4-man hatch escape, it was truly a challenge, yea. I helped a bunch of my friends get it and IIRC only about 1 or 2 of those was outside of a full swf just from the effort it took. Not only having everyone alive until the hatch was confirmed to spawn but also herding the flock to it safely and stealthfully was a mission all on it's own. Though the game evolves, we will still have those kinds of memories from the early DBD experience to look back on.

Loud for killer or survivor?
killer kinda need to be able to hear to effectively hunt, but sensory deprivation makes survivor exciting and scary.
Loud on the survivor side. I get it being part of his whole schtick, just I'm using headphones with almost max game volume and the loudness & repetitiveness of the voices over the ~60 seconds started to get kinda irritating after the 4th dredge of the night. The voices are almost as loud as gen repair sounds, so by that time for me, the novelty wore off.
-
The hatch was too ahead of its time and we are no longer worthy of its greatness now. I'm still mad they pulled the achievement for everyone escaping through the hatch in a trial, even if you had previously unlocked it.
-
My only gripe is that the voices get to be a bit annoying after a while and they are so damn loud for some reason compared to all the other in-game sounds going on.

It’s getting nerfed because many killers don’t know how to deal with dead hard. I wish more people would evaluate their own plays and realize it’s their own mistakes that lost them a match, not dead hard.
Also dead hard is necessary because of many killers, killer add ons and flawed map design.
I agree with some of these points. People can undoubtedly be blind to their skill issues, yet are quick to point their finger at everything else but themselves. DH is certainly a strong perk with only a handful of true counters, no denying that. Most of which involve exposed/insta-downs that deny it, but that being said I don't think it being strong or meta is necessarily a reason to nerf it alone when there are a lot of other "unfun" things in the game.
-
I suggest putting the game down for a little bit and trying something new, like bagpipes.
-
Solo Q is a ######### rollercoaster with no breaks or safety straps. It's almost impossible to hard carry a bad solo Q team who can't even do gens. In some games, I just sit back and wish I could clone my character to be chased, repair gens, and open/99 doors all by myself, but it's just not possible, unfortunately. In some trials, that feels about the only way anything would actually get done.
-
Anyone who played any team sport would know its courtesy and sportsmanship to gg and move on to the next one, regardless of how one side performed or felt about the outcome. I don't see how gg or ggwp is an issue, but this is the DBD forums.
-
I'd like to think they were being nice. That being said, for some it can certainly come off as condescending, especially after a one-sided match.
-
I miss a lot of it. The Older maps, graphics, and animations like grabbing survivors from the hatch mid jump.
-
Quinton, Cheryl, & Nea
Spirit for serious play; Pig for Meme'ing
-
It's a pretty silly concept.
-
Might as well play with it off even with long queue times. I wish they'd improve the system on it so other players on the same device can pair up regardless of cross-play selection.
-
Yep. Definitely thought Mara for this new one.

Instead we get coldwind farm map offerings over and over.
Yay...
Depends on your RNG i'd assume. In my case, I almost never see Coldwind offerings unless I'm the one to burn them (go figure). Now Aazrov's and Ormond on the other hand I see a lot, which are probably more popular survivor offerings in my games, but I don't mind those maps on either side.
-
Because it would be boring getting the same 2 maps over and over again (Looking at you Coldwind Farm).
-
Not the poor frightened killers. Woe is them.
-
Except, it is. I'd even say arguably among the strongest of killer perks and easily the top 3 Hex perks in the game. Lets also not pretend NOED doesn't reward bad killer gameplay. It always has. DS got its fair share of nerfs for similar reasons, so the writing's on the wall that the NOED nerf is coming.
-
They introduced even more bugs into their game with the last couple updates. The hook state visual bug is only one of many...just had an exit gate bug resurface again the other night where I couldn't even leave the trial through the open gate. Pretty good job so far.
-
Yep, they did Thrill kinda dirty
-
They certainly have a tall order that they've promised to their players, so I hope for them that they can actually deliver. I am wary at best about some of the changes because I'd hate to see this game become unplayable to me.

yeah i had meg on gamepass, so for sprint burst and adrenaline ? im kinda confused on how to use sprint burst, you cant use DH if you use that right ?
Correct, since they are all exhaustion perks, it is best to only take either SB or DH into a trial. Adrenaline is sort of an outlier cause you mainly care for the health state after the last gen pops, but it does cause exhaustion too which is something to be aware of If you are gonna run SB or DH with Adrenaline.
-
Assuming we're choosing from the default survivors, Meg for SB and Adrenaline.
-
Just got around to hitting silver this morning before a break. Maybe I'll see you around in Solo Q Hell, Star.
-
All I ever get every crap flavor of Coldwind Farm. It's gotten so bad I have to bring an offering just so I don't have to play on that awful map. What's up did they raise its' percentages or was every other map just lowered due to some bug currently?
-
Agreed. New Haddonfield leaves a lot to be desired still.
-
Survivor: Lucky Break. A perk whose value depends solely on the skill of the person using it. Can make for some sneaky escapes from chases after taking a hit and combos well with other perks like that either activate from or put you in an injured state. Can't count the number of times this has saved my bacon. If you are lucky enough to manage your health states well enough, then you can have it available for the whole match.
Killer: Dark Devotion. This is just a really fun perk that gets overlooked and I'm kinda glad it does because it gives it a shock factor since no one expects it. Like lucky break, it is also able to constantly be up all match if you're fortunate enough. You can also get some pretty creative uses out of it for stealth plays on non-stealth killers, as well as immensely extended map pressure for a short time.
Honorable Mention: Infectious Fright. I just think it's a neat little perk.

If someone DC's whilst I am playing killer I just go stand in a corner. I know how unfun it is to play in solo queue and have a killer play sweaty AF with a DC. I try my best to just be nice and let the survivors do gens and leave.
Bless your kind soul. I also tend to do similar things when I'm on the other end of the equation as the killer because to me it soils the experience and I don't get as much enjoyment out of it since I'm facing a team already at a disadvantage. I will farm or just goof around a little with survivors while they get things done. Sometimes you can get some nice interactions out of it too when the remaining survivors leave gifts or try to take me with them. Usually turns a crap situation into a slightly more enjoyable one for everyone.

One of the killers literally said ez post game
Classic trolls. Like, you're already winning a handicapped match, relax. My favorite is when you get an instant D/C going against a super strong killer with good mobility and map pressure just for the killer to still camp and tunnel survivors. Just laugh at killers like that. They probably lose so much that they need any little win they can manage to feel better.
-
Hate to see it, but at this point, I have little to no hope for Solo Q. It's beyond bad. The community has been asking for improvements for so long only to get met with a pie-in-the-face at every turn. Then anything that does actually make solo Q a little better gets nerfed into the ground almost instantly because it is seen as "too strong" for SWF to be able to abuse. If you aren't playing survivor with friends or without some other mindset going in to make the Solo Q experience fun, then I would recommend you probably should find something else to play or else you will continue to find disappointment as I'm sure you already know. I hate to say that as a long-time player, but too many things just make solo Q unbearable in this game.
-
100% a bad decision, but one they could easily find common ground on if they listen to some of these "common sense" solutions community members are contributing, like giving the killer prompts that appear.
-
Welcome to the SoloQ nightmare where you can firsthand witness all the horrors of DBD matchmaking. Here, it's truly a marvel how you can have such low expectations for your team and yet they will still find all sorts of new ways to disappoint you. We have such sights to show you.
-
Cenobite because if he sacrifices James in a trial then Pyramid Head dies along with him, leaving only Pinhead as the top PH.

Well you can use all of them. I don't think you'd wanna hear just 1 line for each action.
For sure, hope he gets voiced and gets tons of cool lines to interact with survivors with, especially ones specific to the whole R.E. squad. It was pretty neat hearing Nemesis' scream S.T.A.R.S. at me the first time I heard it.

That'd be better when he kills someone.
He has a voice line that he says to Lisa Trevor in RE1 when he kills her that I'd use for kills. I believe it was along the lines of "Be a good girl and stay dead this time." There's also "I expected a challenge from you [Chris], how disappointing" from re5...

And then the survivors will be like, "don't worry, we won't take up THAT much of your time."
Upon survivors exiting the gates Wesker says "Aww, playtime is over. How fortunate for you."

Yeah Chris mains, you better be ready.
Can't wait for a chance to use this line when I find a Chris main.
-
Because for the last 6 years almost everyone has been up in arms about how "free" things given to either side are not a viable solution. I don't care if it's the last survivor and it's their last hook, there should still be player agency even in situations that might seem unwinnable. Doesn't matter if it's a killer wanting to carry for the hatch, a small chance that the killer can't make it to the hook because a hook is gone, if it's a DS proc, Using Unbreakable because the Killer doesn't wanna pick you up for some reason, or whatever the situation could be.
Honestly, those are the most memorable and intense chase moments, especially when you have your squad in the background hyping you tf up during those moments. It gives you all something collectively to cheer for and share a moment, and if you pull off the 1v1 escape its only the cherry on top. Now killers can just be given the last kill for free on down...no more quality interactions like that which many people enjoy. That is very important because this game has recently had a lot of things that are not so enjoyable and now we are just supposed to be fine that they get rid of more things people like? What's to like about that?
-
Sudokwho? I think she's still lower, probably still around low C tier and amongst the worst of the stealth killers.
-
She seems fine to me when I play her. I would perhaps look at some of the advice some of the other members have provided about playing her early game and snowballing it to your favor as you progress towards her mid-to-late game.
-
That was my favorite part too, along with all the exciting improvements to SBMM...
-
loadouts, Bots in custom mode, and QOL browsing features
-
BHVR sticks with its signature motto when it comes to interesting glitches that players actually enjoy. Like the cosmetic bug for example.
-
My biggest concern is that they end up doing more harm than good. I don't see it doing them any good at this point to stiff some very bitter players with the bill if they can't deliver on this meta shake-up. Right now the bar is set to be at least as good as where we are, which isn't saying much but if they can't achieve even that then this meta shake-up will big a huge goose egg.
-
Katawa Shoujo I enjoyed, but I don't see the appeal of this one. Good for whoever actually wanted this ig. Hopefully, it will get its own separate section in the forums so people who don't care about it won't have to scroll through 100 posts about it on the front page when it releases.
