Me on my way to learn how to not have Killers wait out basekit BT
Just don't get caught bro. Stealth is so good in this game. If you are seen at all during the trial, by teammates or the killer, then are you really playing survivor optimally?

There was a bug a couple of months ago where you would get permanent wallhacks on the killer with the combo of Object of Obsession and Blood Pact when Blood Pact was active. That was disasterous when streamers made it popular.
Wake up bug, Midwich, and OoO + BP bugs were all within the span of like 2-to-3-months iirc. Survs used up all their "bug coupons" for the year with all that.

Only one survivors got was the wake up bug and people were getting banned for exploiting it.
That one still gasses me up. Literally a perk with no interaction with killer what-so-ever and it caused them to crash. Then, to ban content creators that used it on stream was the cherry on top.
-
Why don't survivors get nearly as many fun bugs as killers? istg every killer bug ends up being one that gives them a decent advantage with that killer in trial. Almost never happens on survivor side. Last good one was Midwich.

Solo Q is just plain depressing anymore. Like, we knew it was bad before, but it's a new level of painful experience. Solo Q Beyond Hell.

-4 Internets for using that creeper as a image.
Lol
My brain trembles
-
How can the survivor be real when they're just skins??
-
I expected to see some damning evidence, but that's just the norm for wraith and bubba players.
-
Agreed. What stinks is the dev team tried a few different approaches to address this between hard capping the turn angle and slowing the turn rate. Those changes were especially targeting PC players who could more easily do those crazy spins than us lowly console plebs, but you can still do some nutty RE-style quick turns with him.
-
Too many clowns for this early in the a.m.
-
I'll play killer all day, but no amount of BP incentives would get me to touch survivor with a 10-foot pole atm.
-
Pinheads true strength is in his chain hunt, which you want to maintain good uptime with. I don't even use his PC much unless i'm running good add-ons or I'm close enough that it can guarantee a hit in return. You don't really wanna use PC to snipe from a mid-to-far distance because it's very weak easy to break; You do more harm to your game than good most of the time.
-
Dredge's nightfall is fine. It's literally called Nightfall for a reason...

Part of the new Genrush meta

Currently, the only thing they can grip is the hook moments before they D/C.

Actually I've been wishing for faster survivor que time lol
I've got good news for you then. Killer stonks are at an all-time high

Its weird there are Killer queues because the patch hurt Solo queue the most and according to a lot of people only SWFs play Survivor, queues shouldnt have increased that much unless... unless Solo actually made the bulk of the Survivor pool and they got fed up...
Nah cant be, its probably a bug on the queues or some pesky SWF trick to annoy Killers, it must be that, it HAS to be that...
Yeah man it's all just a charade. Just like they were saying pre-patch, killer queue times won't be affected.
-
Yeah, old hatch was pretty nice overall to me aswell. Definitely had some fun times while it was around.

Related to that kind of changes with a hidden motive, the grind reduction for me its one of the worst, not the grind reduction itself which is ok but the change to the Shrine of Secrets, before getting a perk was 2000 shards, getting a full Survivor loadout was 6000, while unlocking the character costs 9000, this means you saved 3000 shards by using the Shrine instead of unlocking a Survivor (which are skins anyway, they function all the same), you could use those saved shards to unlock Killers which have different playstyles so its worth having them.
Now unlocking a perk costs 2000 shards but only rank1, rank 2 is 4000 and rank3 is 6000, adding to a total 12000 also you cant even unlock the rank3 on the same Shrine, you have to wait 3 cycles, not only is 6 times more expensive but it may take 2 years for it to appear 3 times, this puts people who dont want to grind bloodwebs into a dilemma, either you go back to dealing with bloodwebs or you cough up money to unlock the characters, especially the licenses, Im not interested on paying money for licensed Survivors because they are just skins but this change pushes me into grinding bloodwebs or paying because the rank3 shard unlock is not feasible.
I wonder if the developers tought of this change or was it the marketing/bussiness department...
Reading that about the shrine is actually kinda depressing

Can the community officially acknowledge the game as killer-sided in posts now?
-
Nothing any different to see here

No. I wont shut up. I will keep talking about how solo q is garbage.
You can say that again. Deathgarden Q (Death™ Q) desperately needs help at this point.
-
I'd say so if you aren't finding any enjoyment in the game on any side. Time to find something you do want to spend your time on. I've found enjoyment in revisiting some of my personal favorite games like SMT Nocturne and Nobunaga's Ambition games.
-
As someone who plays from inside a sensory deprivation tank, I support this post. Survs just need to adapt.
-
I hope they made a backup save of the previous patch.
-
Sure, it was great for killers and swf will more than likely manage, but now let's talk about the people who really needed it. What did it do in terms of addressing the solo survivor experience and the declining console performance?
-
Sorry, I was borrowing her to show off to some mates. They agreed she was neat.
-
Reminds me of "5 Mins no Gens I DC"
-
My bets are on that there won't be much of a noticeable difference starting out. It'll still be quick in some parts of the day and take longer in the off-hours, But later on, nearing the end of the first year of the changes being introduced to the game, queue times will go up longer regardless of ToD and there will be a much more noticeable uptick in killer queue times.
-
Might as well rename solo Q to Deathgarden. Seems to be a much more appropriate name.
-
You could give some people all the killer buffs in the world and they still think they're being crucified.

I'd rather get rid of the specific-killer MMR and go back to being able to switch in the lobby. There are many lobbies where the killer you've got lined up is specifically screwed against survivor items (flashlights versus Hag, maps versus Trapper, medkits versus Twins), or more importantly, when you're just messing around with a killer you don't normally play for a daily or experimentation and you get a loaded SWF. Plus I always want to oblige when I see survivor names like Trickster's Wife or Mori Me Pyramid Head.
Like, I liked the idea of individual killer MMR, but the allowed variance in the MMR isn't great enough to accurately match up with your proficiency in my experience. It's 200 either way from a center rating, right? My MMR's still pretty off from all the friendly games I did during the event, but right now I'm at a point where I can stomp when I play Plague or Artist, but if I play Nurse or Slinger, I'll get wrecked. So killer-specific MMR isn't doing me any good and I'm mostly just waiting for custom match bots for the killers I want to learn.
This. I don't care how anyone tries to spin it, being able to switch killers in-lobby should have never been taken out of the game. All over a failed experiment that we are still stuck with. It's actually kinda ironic that you still swap between higher and lower MMR killers in a roundabout way (at least on ps4, no crossplay) if you leave the lobby and queue up quick enough to be put back in the same one. I did that last night and I just find it hilarious because that shouldn't be a thing since MMR does try to prevent it in a way, but it is still possible to do.

It is not a strategy to t-bag infront of the exit
It is too. It's part of the Gotcha! Strategy.
-
No. It's a perk, not an exploit. The nerf it got only further reinforces that. Just slug.
-
I'll be among the outliers here and place him at A tier with the potential to be S tier. Mechanically he is pretty straightforward, has a good kit that features great mobility tricks and a very solid anti-loop that can also apply pressure to leave a loop. Nightfall is one of the best killer powers we've seen in awhile and it adds onto an already giant list that points to great snowball potential. A lot of builds can work with his playstyle and still dominate survs. He requires macro-gameplay and some strategizing in-game, which to me gives him a very high ceiling similar to Ceno and i'd place him at Mid-high A with the potential to be a solid S depending on Map, locker spawns, add-ons.
-
Oh god, not t-bagging. The absolute horrors. I'll be sure to do my part and t-bag extra at the gates and hatch today.

The dead by daylight game was release 2016, all killers and survivors were perfect gameplay matches till 2021 updates. It change most of the game and made Survivor gameplays more buffed than killers. Killers are falling short. Meaning their chase r slower than original speed of chasing. Killers kept missing attacks on survivors with 360 movement tricks while being chase in the game. Killers cant reach survivors closely while doing loops n running around long middle objects on every maps. Killer perks that comes hex totems r found unhidden locations within seconds n then cleansed within 2 mins not lasting effect of their perks. Making more complicated for killers to stall the game longer n prevent gens from progression complete. Survivors r using tier 3 perks to manipulate killers gameplay and rushing gens progression winning the game sooner than its original time. Using Spine Chill, Resilience, Dead hard, Deceisive Strike, Borrow Time, Boon totem healing, unbreakable, Prove Thyself. Every often killers looses Survivors and they end up loosing arrows on the grade credits for Blood Points. New Upcoming Updates for Perks. Survivors perks r now getting more benefit of winning the game as teams. While having second chances to use Deceisive Strike, borrow time, and new endurance update on Dead hard perk. For killers r completely nerfed no scream or explosion signs after hooking survivors scourge of pain resonance hooks, Survivors Saboteur perk can now see scourge hooks to break them. Killers progression on hex totem is lower than the original including Pop goes a weasel. Corupt intervention deativates when a survivor is downed or killed. Tinkerer is now activate one screwed up skill check at a time. Hex no escapes death r now showing survivors where the hex totem is located to prevent killers winning the game before having survivors escape the match as groups. Moris only work for the last survivor which they dont expose when that happens and rarely killer gets the last survivor easily before escaping the hatch. If u guys agree that this finds u unfair game n completely unbalance between killers and survivors gameplay actions plz feel free vote up this petition hopefully they understand that killers r getting more frustrating to win challenges in dbd. 100% of the time every killer game players ends up getting quad escapes or one kill n 3 survivors escaping the match. To me they should:
- Rework on Very Hard Killers like The Nurse, The Oni, The Blight n others. Cuz w PC better features Onis demon dash and shift to corner areas while chasing survivors. W consoles it does NOT turn easily on both sides while survivors r running corner on the walls or objects in every map
- The Perks they should stop nerfing them n start buffing them little more. I believe that the hex totems should be change or make different objects to cover them to be less noticible.
- Killers should have little more to prevent having extreme issues on survivors 360 movement speed while being manipulating killers visions before getting attack by their weapons.
If you guys disagree any of my suggestions thats fine. Im willing to hear ur suggestions. I hope it offend anyone. I just feel that they dbd is running is not running well to have fun and enjoyment when this frustrating momments continues n developers r keeping the game running as same as usual.

Yep, and I'll admit it. I've been getting some bogus hits on killer recently and it's almost made me wanna puke due to how nasty the lag hits have been. Just the other day, I downed a Kate by seemingly reaching over an already downed pallet and smacking her. We both just looked at each other with the "Yeah that was kinda bullshit wasn't it" expression. Don't even get me started on all the times I end up getting a hit + stunned + placed on the other side of the pallet with the survivor. Been a minute since I've seen that one, but honestly not the only old "fixed" bug I've experienced in the past few months.
-
If you have some characters hanging around P2 I would at least try to get them to P3 before the update, but I wouldn't go out of the way to take a character from P0/1 to P3.
-
Fun to play and go against. I just bought the dredge recently and he's just such a breath of fresh air for killer gameplay. Just a really solid kit all around and it feels good to play, at least to me. You can have some really fun builds that make survivors feel that on-edge horror feeling, which is an area this game really needed again. I've just been meme'ing for the last of the event, and one fun build that has entertained me is Knockout, Plaything, Corrupt, and Third Seal with nightfall buildup addons.
-
I can't say I'm surprised they dropped a hot steaming pile of Amber Heard on their bed with this update. To say I'm reluctant to see these changes go live would be an understatement. Like others, I probably won't uninstall, but much less playtime on survivor unless it's SWF...no solo Q hell at all now for me. I will only be jumping on killer for solo games at this point.
-
That's why I stopped caring and just play "toxic" on both sides. Too many scummy playstyles and players out there and it'll never change no matter how much crusading people want to do on the forums. Screw it, be as toxic as you can and make everyone you encounter miserable. Take advantage of every inch of BS in the game's design that you can find.

I play the game for 6 years and to me if anyone else can relate (let me know), the worst period of DbD is when the game started to get heavy competitive. Not as enjoyable as once was... even if we do have a competitive view but it changed the entire game right now to a state that is just not as good as once was.
I liked the game way more 3 years ago when people were playing for more fun rather than win, and when you'd see vareity, perks and more killers being used.
This started around 2019, with competitive scene and 1v1s popping up a lot, then in 2020 when SBMM was launched and shortly after the entire community got a super influenced around a competitive "perfect" play that also redirected the hide'n'seek playstyle with some looping to minimal in-game interaction and what we see now "Blight/Nurse"
I still respect all players, but meh, I liked how once it was (more)
How I see, but I still enjoy DbD, just having this feeling.
Well said

Dredge looks like something out of Yu-Gi-Oh. It's only fitting that it is well versed in shadow games.
