No I meant like, they have full blown conversations? Cause from what Peanits wrote it sounds like some people submit tickets to have one lol.

I wrote a few tickets to them. When the queue is not full, or at least high, you can make some short convos with them like.

Example: I lost my progress 2 months ago. The problem got solved and then I asked a general question, they also answered the question. But it was just 1 simple question. Submiting a ticket is the place to get help in need, not to answer questions, for that, we have the forum.

Either way, maybe you don't get answered by a bot (in some occasions there is no need to have a person answering you) and they answer you (they're not obligated to).

This is my experience with tickets.

Yeah sorry if that wasn't clear enough i was asking because i had someone say that they were going to give me bp but then never ended up doing it im not saying they need to hurry by any means i know theres way more requests and more important ones but i was curious if its just a back up of requests from the new patch or its they don't anwser them at night its been 3 days since they've said anything and i want to know if they'll anwser it or not im not rushing them i don't want to be mean to any of the support people just a question

    Exactly the same to me.

  • There's going to be about 6 hours waiting for an answer because I lost my progress.

And you are lucky not to have the bug that the aliasing makes your screen completely blurry, as some threads are really going ham about it on BHVR.

  • They should just give custom settings so this doesn't happen, but BHVR happens. Every patch is 4 upgrades, 10+ downgrades.

Resolution Quality is at 100% Always with Auto-Adjust Disabled. This isn't a resolution issue - It's the anti-aliasing that you now can't disable making the game look blurry.

Well, for me, it helps with the blurriness. Idk if it's the issue or not.

  • @Chris5 said:

    BUG FIXES

    • Enabled Temporal Anti-Aliasing in Low settings. This will reduce most artifacts along object edges, and improve the hair's visual quality.

This makes my game look blurry and there's no way of disabling it as of now. Even through Nvidia Control Panel and the actual config with AntiAliasingQuality set to 0.

I'm having to play at a higher AA Quality which still looks blurry but better than txaa.

Try to change the resolution in the menu, dont put auto adjust. In my experience, auto adjust doesnt do anything but locking the resolution. Either way, try it. I use at 83% and it is really fine.

My question is who the hell runs OoO? Unless you’re in a gen rushing swf, OoO does nothing but punishes you, and if you are against one, then the game is over by the time you reach a gen.

Thats not his point, the point is that there is plenty of counter to it. You just need to think about the game when playing and find ways to counter. Thats called skill.

Survivors just want to be in the lead when 1vs1ing a killer. And thats wrong, because the power role on 1vs1 is the killer. Survivors can sometimes outskill the killer by playing together and by being smart

Im not saying that youre bad, just mentioning the topic. Just to be clear.

  • Try to verify the integrity of your game. Go to the library-> Click on dbd with your right mouse-> Properties-> Local files -> Verify the integrity of your files. IF YOU'RE ON STEAM (PC). Otherwise idk how to do it.

    Hope this helped.

It happens a lot when an update comes.

i am not most people though.

    i also never denied that.

people still consider legion to be unfun to play / verse, as their power is very flat has no depth to it. its just run around the pallet and get hit after some time, its nothing special. other killers have a real influence over the game with their powers, legion has none.

and like i said above, i am all for legion buffs / power reworks. just not bringing old legion back. old legion also wasnt very fun to play back in the day, so not much changed there...

but yes, the power needs reworks.

current legion is far from being fine, though they are in a way better spot than previously.

I know dead by daylight since vanossgaming made videos of it (roughly 3 years ago) but I only started to in the middle of january and i mained wraith for the 1st month.

But I was seeing a lot of people playing Legion and I had a really fun time playing against it, the killer felt like different to any other. Then I started to main Legion and I had the most fun that I didn't have in any other game with a character. And no, I never exploited as Legion.

All of this because I was truly new to the game and I had a lot of fun playing as/against Legion and I didn't have a chance of having a biased opinion.

what people disliked about legion were the very poor chase mechanics and the lack of possible counterplay.

this has been said like 50 times in here over and over, yet you still insist on old legion being "fair and fun to play against".

i also dont dislike old legion, because streamer XY said he disliked them, i dislike them because i actually faced quite a lot of those and they were always annoying.

    here is a fact:

old legion was the killer with the highest DC rate in the entire game.

i wonder why... because obviously players had no problems with the killer, but actually just with one add on / the exploits.

no fam, everyone hated legions base design - Franks Mixtape and the exploits just made it worse, but they were far from being the sole reason for all the hate.

and just so you know: the legion "nerf" actually did nothing but doing what the community requested, which was getting rid of legions unfun aspects.

Most of those people got influenced by that XY streamer/youtuber. That is a very important fact that cant be denied.

If they got rid of the unfun aspects, why are there people saying that Legion is very boring to go against?

Plus, Legion lost its essence and fun. His power has 95436984563 drawbacks for little to no reward and that isn't fun, objectively because no one will like to use soemthing that bad and very dull.

alright you two, ima gonna make it short here:

i do not care enough for this topic ("bring back old legion") to put any effort into this.

this is my statement (and this is a very common statement throughout the entire community of this game): old legion is plain out bad gamedesign and NEEDED to be changed for the sake of this games health.

i am not saying legion doesnt deserve any buffs / reworks, but old legion is a plague that NEEDS to stay away from this game.

so please stop acting like legion was fine - he really wasnt.

come up with some new ideas to buff this killer instead of crying that you need your super crutch back. cause that is what he was: the go to killer for anyone who sucked at chasing and couldnt handle getting outplayed, but also didnt want to invest time into actually getting good at the game.

legion is in a MUCH better spot now than ever and you will not change my mind about that.

PS: i am usually against killer nerfs, yet the legion change actually filled me with joy.

Legion just got that fame because Noob3 said from the start that he didn't like legion, and hated it, etc. etc.

In reality, Legion just has a different style of chase that people didn't give the time to adapt. He got gutted 5 months after release. Incredibly small time period. Also, people didn't like frank's mixtape and the exploits, not Legion itself.

But what am I saying? You just don't care as you stated.

  • @PolarBear said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/701979#Comment_701979

All counterplay against Legion relied solely on either specific items (flashlight, firecrackers) or the killer being bad. As long as the killer knew these tricks they wouldn't be a problem for them anymore.

Yes, it took time to down someone using FF but it was unfun because you knew you had no choice in the matter. If The Legion was even a mediocre player, they could down you with FF. Your skill didn't matter, that's why it was unfun.

And that was every game. FF->hit->wait for cooldown->repeat (interactive gameplay amirite?).

Old Legion was like a bad version of Nurse. He ignored survivor defenses but he was really easy to play and really bad at killing, the complete opposite of Nurse.

The counterplay didn't rely solely on especific items as I showed before, I don't even know why you said that.

Knowing the tricks is a reward of playing a killer frequently and not all players use the same. Second of all, it happens with all killers. If the killer knows the trick, they will play around it.

"And that was every game. FF->hit->wait for cooldown->repeat (interactive gameplay amirite?)."

With every other killer: Wait for bloodlust ->hit -> Wait for bloodlust-> repeat.

This cycle you mentioned can take the entire match if you don't ignore the counterplay.

    id recommend you watching this.

also, you love to mention this "counterplay" he had that no one here understands, yet you never decide to actually tell us what this "counterplay" is in the first place.

due to that i'll just have to assume you dont know any counterplay yourself, but pretend that "skilled players know the counterplay" to be able to just tell everyone here who says they in fact had no counterplay they just need to get better at the game and the killer was balanced.

Even, imo, the Legion song for me is "Sepultura - Bloody Roots".

So I'm a red rank survivor but when I was playing on Thursday I only faced three red rank killers. The majority of the killers I played against were green, yellow, and grey ranks, and the majority of the randoms were either green or yellow ranks.

As you can imagine most of these killer didn't fair well, eight of them disconnected (although one of them was a rank 3). Yet when I play killer at rank 14, I've been getting red and purple rank survivors.

So my question for red rank killers, what has your average lobby been like? Have you been getting red rank survivors, or have you just been getting yellow ranks?

I'm not sure if that is the case of eveyone, but I stopped trying to get red ranks as killer because you get absolutely 0 benefit from it.

The matches are extremely frustrating and every game is very sweaty, you NEED to bring ruin if playing with killers bellow top 3 and you get very long queue times. So it's a "no" from me.

Now I usually play at low purple/high greens ranks, just to have fun.

ALSO there is a bug at the moment with the matchmaking that you have no filter when finding someone to play against/with. Basically, everyone is mixed up.

Your good will to give them tips is admirable NullSp3c.

But I am afraid, it is a waste of time. They will for sure come with excuses for them self, like "that were only possible towards bad Legions, that was impossible!" and so on.

I know those type of players.

They will never learn and stay by their opinion, no matter what.

They could have been witnesses of a counterplay situation in dbd and would still either denie it, or blame it on the killer. Just so that they can tell themself longer, that it is not their fault and that they can stay still in their comfort zone -_-.

Anyways, time to watch your linked video^^.

I just gave them now because, unlike you, I didn't give anyone in the forum tips to counter the old legion (I think) because i don't think that they are gonna listen. Either way, just did it this time because I saw that guy saying that he had no counterplay just because you didn't say his counters again.

PS; The video is pretty dope tho, the background music went right to my playlist when I first saw the video.

  • @PolarBear said:

Or instead, you could just tell me how I can counter Legion's power?

Can't do that? That's because Legion had no counterplay.

Like I said before counterplay does not equal to low kill %.

While reading these following statements, ignore Frank's mixtape and exploits, which must've been what devs needed to change and deal with.

Legion was the second killer from the bottom in the kill rate statistic, that means something. It means that if he wanted to down you, he would but took a lot of time, which means big chase, which also means that the survivor could do something against it.

I said " if he wanted to down you he would, but took a lot of time" and you can say "Thats what made him unfun". My counter argument to that is: that happens with every single killer, having bloodlust, entity blockers and 1 chase perk you can pretty much down someone if you like, but again, you lose a lot of time.

The thing is that people didn't know how to counter Legion, he had a different way to be dealt with, pretty much like the nurse, he had a completely different chase style.

I'll give you some counters to OLD Legion:

    • Use a flashlight if you want (optional)
    • NEVER EVER camp at pallets waiting for Legion to break it, remember that he is recovering and waiting to vault and hit you. If that bad boy doesn't break the pallet and is waiting for the power to come back, run to another and try to hit him.
    • If you don't hit Legion with a pallet or you vault a window and see him vaulting too, vault back, Legions usually miss that hit because when they vault they get pushed forward. Same for windows.

Remember that Legion doesn't see scratch marks so you can play with your blood to make him track in the wrong direction. Ex: Killer shack. Situation: God pallet dropped, Legion is waiting for the power to recover in the inside and you are outside.

If you know how to counterplay them, you would get away from the pallet. You see him vaulting away and you have that distance that you gained from running away a lil bit. Run to the back of the shack and hide in the right corner (on the left there are lockers and the window). Legion can't see scratch marks so you can run away on that brief second that he is searching where you went to get away and his power is almost running out in that moment.

    There are many more ways.

Of course all of this needs skill to perform.

Watch this video for further understanding.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMtRRTvmYpM

Now, I just think that he needed buffs on spreading hits, the power gauge shouldn't stop when vaulting and Feral Frenzy should have a balanced mechanic around exposed and injured survivors. It's another way to counterplay him. OR bhvr can bring him more counterplay through the miss hits mechanic.

    He's simply saying that.

  • I dont play her that much to help you a lot, but ill tell you my opinion and what ive seen in the forums.

Hello guys i wanna buy a killer and i like fast killers so i want your advice Which is stronger and faster Spirit or Legion :)

Spirit is a lot faster, a lot more fun, and not dull. Legion is pretty much a loopable killer after using his power that is very boring to use.

Either way, I would wait for the upcoming changes to Legion (not sure if big or small) to know which one to buy. But if you want a fast buy, buy spirit. She needs skill and practise, but rewards a lot and you can have a lot of fun with her.

  • I'm not a nurse experient, but I think that this will make her add-on dependant since, as the guy above already stated, 1 blink hit is very hard to do.

You can just walk it off and sprint burst away. Stealth killer? Can still get rid of exhaustion only 3 seconds. EVERYBODY SAYS ITS GARBAGE. THEY ONLY USE IT TO PROVE HOW GARBAGE IT IS. Head on you go hide in a locker and exhaustion still goes down so you can still use exhaustion. It stops current exhaustion. YOU CAN STILL WALK IT OFF AND BY THEN GENERATORS WILL ALREADY BE OVER 50%. PEOPLE ARE WASTING MONEY ON A PERK THATS NOT EVEN GOOD. If Mindbreaker was on a tier list I would put it at -Z because it’s that garage. Either make it longer and have it last for the whole generator time or remove the perk completely. Seriously.

Fixed distance is also kind of exploitable. Like if the killer ever tried to be sneaky and use TR removing perks or got DW on a naturally sneaky killer (from BT vs like T1 Myers) then you could use DW to tell if they are close, kinda like a survivor version of Whispers.

So like which is the more severely exploitable version?

2v1 vs Legion is already kinda like that, 15s turns into 30, 45, etc. Legion can keep going back and forth, alternating between tagging the remaining survivors.

An interesting thing to point out: being afflicted with DW is not 100% negative as it hides you from Killer Instinct.

Swf would def have leagues easier time grouping up, that's for sure. But that's a problem that needs to be tackled with base game tweaks

Hard to tell what would be fun without being able to test it. Only thing we an do is keep spitballing ideas, it's up to BHVR to make tweaks and allow us to test stuff, if they feel so inclined.

That is very unfun to play against. Survivors will basically surrender when you kill the second guy, because those situations are too hell anoying.

The fixed range can be used as a tracking tool, like a whispers. Deep wounds was supposed to down survivors but it was too good like it was before. So a tracking tool isn't bad at all is basically a whispers, this way, it's the same for survivors - if they see the timer pause, it's because legion is coming.

Yeah, I completely agree with you in the last topic. Maybe you're right, maybe i'm right - only playing will tell. As you said, they should do more frequent tweaks tho, to test out what is good or bad.

It's the right path but with spaghetti code any idea will take ages to program for some of them to be just thrown away if they are bad/unhealthy. I think that it will be better with dedicated servers... maybe?

Yeah, the missing audio cues are pissing me off just as killer like as survivor. I also remembered that you don't hear notifications like hook rescues when they happen behind you.

There are no unique builds for Legion? Hm, I guess there isn't a map-wide terror radius addon for Legion after all. I could have sworn there was. You could probably also do Smiley Face Pin + Knockout + Third Seal so they don't know why they can't see their friends on the ground, thinking it's Smiley Face Pin, or Third Seal, then come to find out it's Knock Out(Otz did a similar build with GhostFace with his Outdoor Security Camera to slug everyone, but Legion has sight of survivors built into his power, so it could work similarly, except he doesn't have one hit downs, so it might take a bit longer. As for your risks and stall potential, it's not the stall potential that's Legion's most important power imo. The stall potential is just a bonus for making Legion's power unable to actually down people due to if he could, he'd be too powerful due to how easily he could catch up to survivors. the information is the important part.

Also honestly I think Legion Pin would be pretty good honestly. You can track survivors easily, and they can't heal for 60 seconds, should be a pretty easy down.

I didn't say that he didn't have any unique builds, don't put words in my mouth.

I talked about his game style. Yes, the frenzy can have different sinergies with perks/add-ons but after that you can't down them without simply running and m1. That's how it is and there is no denying it.

Yes, you can make his power lethal with the correct counterplay, so he can snowball and be outplayed, its a display of skill basically. There are ways to change his power so he can be good and fun to play as/against. See some of the ideas in the forum.

He would be op if he continued to be a 4.6m/s killer and if his power was more dynamic. But that is something that you only realise through experience. Seeing someone doing a build on youtube and actually get a really good game, doesn't mean that build/character is actually good. I also had tons of games that I completely dominate the survivors but it is like 10% of the time if that much. I can put one of those on youtube and call Legion op or really good.

His power isn't 100% useless ofc, but not that useful in reality. And even less fun to use. No, this isn't subjective. Because no one would like to use a power that has a lot of downsides, no room for error and that takes ages to come back. After that, m1 them to death.

I'm pretty sure most other killers require mind games. From what I always hear Spirit is always about mind games. You're comparing Legion to the absolute best killers, while saying Legion is the absolute worst. You're also moving the goal post quite a bit.

For some reason they are the best. I'm not moving the discussion to anywhere. Legion has problems and that's what I'm mentioning here.

If I mentioned all the better killers, it's because you can see a pattern here. I also said some others like pig(for example), that has a dash to help in chases, traps to stall the game and being EXTREMELY LETHAL, impossible skillchecks doctor is also unique.

But then you have killers that simply walk like clown, wraith (some builds are exception), etc. Even these can use their power to either be lethal, or/and to mess with survivors heads like doctor.

Legion has no unique playstyle like he had before (without the exploits) and now he has nothing. All he does is walk and m1 someone. Now, don't compare it to spirit, they have nothing similar to each other. And because she has a unique playstyle, she can actually be top tier and be real fun to play.

I mean, you take too many risks to get a little bit of stall potential that can't snowball because it has so many restrictions.

I watched all three of those videos and he used his power several times to find the other survivors, and in the first video I posted, he even said that was useful. He also didn't say it was the 115% movement speed in any of those videos that I saw either. Every time I see him play Legion, I hear him say "Tell me where your friends are", constantly, meaning he is using his power for it's effects.

You still need to be very good at mindgames to be successful with "all" that information.

Unlike other killers that have a UNIQUE game style like spirit, nurse, hillbilly, hag, freddy and some others.

Legion's got taken. The power and the identity.

Any killer can only win when the killer's player skill outmatches the survivors. That's kind of the point of a PVP game. Are you saying that a killer with worse skill than survivors should win?

As for winning "despite Legion", that last game of True's had him using perks that literally countered each other. So I guess True is the best Legion player in existence if all other Legion mains are having trouble while using Ruin and other perks that most M1 killers need.

He is not the best legion player, but instead a guy that really understands the game and its mechanics/tactics as killer. As HE said, it was not because of Legion, it was because of the 115% movement speed that is common to 80% of the roaster. Which means that Legion by himself doesn't mean anything.

The fact that he can hit survivors with m1 and the mindgames in chases is what made him win. He basically said that his power was worthless, but with other words.

Tell me something. Where have I said anywhere that Legion is "viable"? I have said facts, that is literally all I have stated, and have not argued for or against Legion as a killer. I have not stated anything about Legion's strength or weakness in the game at all. You're just putting words in my mouth. That said..

I wouldn't say Legion is as bad as you say.

Your fact is right and wrong at the same time. New Legion is faster in the long run but in the short run the old one was better.

We must not also forget that old frenzy was much more dynamic because you could use it at 25%, which for me, was the worst nerf in frenzy (except the one that you can't kill someone with it). Even without the better distance, you weren't dependant on a single use frenzy but instead, if the first goes wrong (you only hit 1 survivors), you will always have a second one ready for you.

This brings room for error, and the new one doesn't. The new one has all of this combined with 1 miss, ff down, vaulting speed is so bad, no blood pools, bigger stun and survivors have a lot of reaction time because the speed is slower, so you get that bigger distance compared to the old one much later.

You would prefer playing clown to have fun, because clown at least is an m1 killer with a power that isn't bland. You can be creative with it. Feral frenzy's case is a very different case in terms of flexibility...

It doesn't seem better to me.

EDIT: After seeing the last video (haven't seen the first one tho) tru3 says that he was doing well not because of Legion, but because he played so much dbd that he has chase potential by m1ing them down, as a veteran player should be capable of doing.

  • The room that allowed a very strong loop (almost infinite) with balanced landing, the one that has stairs on each side was fixed. Also, there are a lot of pallets, but 80% of them are a down if you don't stun the killer. It's easy to fake to go to one side and then go to another in most of the cases. For me, it worked really well.
