I know it's not what you want but could you not just hide the chat, or back out from the lobby?
Yeah and I do that. When I play Killer, but then there are times when it's after game and me and possibly 1 or 2 other players are actually being friendly. Then there is this 1 guy who is just spamming bm and trying to ruin what was a fun match. In red ranks you start to see familiar names, and steam profiles, so you know who they are. I just wish I had the option to silence those ones for good.
I imagine these settings would put a slight curb of the toxicity in the game because everyone can ignore the toxic ones, and continue to interact with the friendly ones freely.
-
I just had a guy who said I didn't know the basic loops when I was playing Deathslinger.
He didn't know that Deathslinger is only 100MS, and it blew his mind. Even the toxic survivors don't think Deathslinger is a good killer lol
-
I think he was a med student or something
-
-
I didn't think it was too strong, and to be hoenst i'm really surprised that got nerfed but all the buffs to survivors got by with no big changes.

Bunny Feng was a smart move to keep me playing the game

The issue isn't a game issue. Everyone, including streamers, can access the new content through the in-game store as long as they downloaded and installed the update.
EDIT: Typo
I want to pay real money for the DLC though, not use my ridiculous amount of Iridescent Shards.

Sabo changes go live, and they think that just by reducing the bonus wiggle points survivors get by being dropped is going to fix that LUL
We can now say hello to actual apocalypse of this game. Ya'll hear about Deathgarden?
-
Unfortunatly the closest thing you have to "first hook suicide" is finding, downing, and hooking 1 survivor. Then camp him until the survivors hopefully finish the gens. Then once the last gen is finished open the door and afk for 2 minutes.

It's neat on paper, but then you'd run into the issue of people immediately opening the gate at the start of the match to force not only themselves, but everyone in the match to derank.
Good? A survivor sucidiing on hook isn't much better. I really don't see why survivors get the ability to surrender in the game, but the Killer is expected to deal with having 0 fun, and being abused? If not they are forced to wait out till the 4 survivors finish the gens - when they choose too.
I literally just had a game today where I could tell it was a 4man swf with two OoO's, and I tried to afk to let them finish the gens - get out, and move on another match hopefully more fun, but they just took the game hostage just to farm. I had to come back, finally chase one person down, and then camp them on hook to force the survivors to finish the last 2 gens, and then I could finally open the door.
You think this is fair? You think this is fun?
I am really starting to see why everyone say's playing Killer is the worst experience on Dead by Daylight.
Also think about the fact that since Killer is so awful to play, the good killers just get to red rank then stop playing Killer. So should the newer, less experienced killers be forced to deal with this treatment because they are not able to surrender?
-
Oh look another survivor that doesn't belong in red ranks smh
-
Survivor: Gideon Meat Plant
Killer: Gideon Meat Plant
but let's be real. I lose faith in a majority of maps I load into when playing Killer.

Can you also tell us your region, and which platform you play on?

"But Spring Burst"
*Laughs in Agitation*
Agitation does nothing for you if there are no hooks to use.
-
It's because there are more survivor sided maps than Killer. Killer has like. What? Two maps that are even barely in their favor, and that's because Survivors refuse to learn them.
-
Play Survivor
-
If the game didn't have ranks, it would lose a majority of it's playerbase. I am sure dev's are more than aware, the majority of the players that stay consistently with the game are more competitve players than the ones that jump on every few months for some chuckles.

🤣 Lol Deliverance. Hey there Green rank.

They need only enough Killer challenges to make people play Killer enough so that Survivors can get into some kind of lobby.

"I can't tunnel and camp because of this perk so it must be nerfed"
He's suggesting a buff. The current state of BT you can't use it against stealth killers, and there are too many aspects that affect terror radius, so it's not able to be used as intended.
I agree. Borrowed Time should be changed to activate based on the distance the Killer is from the hook, not if the survivor is within terror radius or not. However I do not think it should get a light up / grey out feature to show if the Killer is close or not.
-
If they didn't revert the Sabo changes, then I might make a thread on how long this game is gonna last.
I give it about 2-3 months before it can no longer hold up because of all the players that refuse to play killer anymore. period.
-
I hope he can walk into the Autohaven Wreckers basement lul
-
You realize you have to aim with a flashlight right? And it's aim, without moving, for a few seconds.
Sabotaging is instantly dropping a hook infront of the killer, and if they drop the survivor - the survivor breaks free. If they go to another hook - sprint burst and drop that hook too. The survivor goes free.
The sabo changes are game breaking.
-
Not something I see very often, not something I care about anyways. If it's a tryhard survivor team, they will gen rush and be out the door in a few minutes. If that's how they have fun - who am I to stop them
-
Ghostface, use shroud, and then try to pretend your repairing generators. Every time your power get's removed you take a shot. Every time a survivor see's you and runs away you take a shot.
-
Survivors are toxic.

Yeah ok, then I dont need to be that reasonable when I want to show you that your ideas are stupid in the future:
You cannot force people to speak to Strangers. My guess would have been that you are from the US, because US people are usually those who dont know or believe that other countries exist. So they only know English (and maybe Spanish).
But when you live in Europe, you will have all sorts of players. And why should that Russian 3 man SWF decide to communicate via the Ingame Voice Chat with the British Solo Player? Maybe they would not even be able to, because not everyone has English in school and on a level to communicate.
But yeah, just put 0 thoughts in your ideas, thats great. Very helpful.
@Topic:
Yeah, this is a great idea. I have read it before and still a fan of this. This would actually close the gap between SWF and Solos, because you would know if someone is already going for the Safe (if the Repair Icon changed to normal for example) or if nobody is doing Gens and you are the one who needs to do more then.
I can only imagine it can be a little bit frustrating if you know exactly what your team members are doing at least this is the feeling I get when using Bond.
The amount of xenophobia in your response doesn't even merrit a response. I'm Canadian though since it means so much for you.
-
I would play as my rank 2 killer, but honestly I would rather not waste my time playing something as stressful when I could just solo Survivor and face only low rank Killers.

Not the choice of the person who wants to know what they're up to but can't. :P
Unavoidable.
The only problem with the gap between SWF and Solo is that you can't close it unless you give the same tool to Solo to be the same as a SWF. However if you try to find a work around visual or audio way in game to do that, you're only making SWF stronger and not really closing the gap.
The only possible way to close the gap is by giving the exact same tool to solo, and then if they complain (because we already know the entitled f- are going to complain). Then tell them to deal with it.

There'd still be an issue with Survivors who deliberately opt out of that.
That's their own choice.
-
Ohya it's gonna break the game. I place myself a green rank survivor at best. The sabo changes makes it as a single survivor I control the killers entire objective until he eliminates me.
Put that in the hands of several pro survivor players. I can already imagine the god awful games we are going to see of sweaty survivors, and toxic survivors abusing the sabo changes.
-
Or they could just add voice chat.

I finally had time to clip it. We didn't start in dream world and I'm fairly sure it hadn't been 10 seconds yet. Also there was just too much accuracy, we all spawned at the same gen and he came straight there, something just wasn't adding up.
That's a bug then. At the start of a match it acts like you have the ability to teleport, but doesn't allow you to. I am guessing a person found a way to exploit that and make it actually activate. Other options include;
- Your connectivity is bad, so the Killer was in the game long enough before you, that he got his teleport power, and then teleported when the red entity circle disappeared from the top of the screen.
- He's using the common dbd hack that came out recently.

For the People will not be as good as people say it is, it's just too weird to pull off. It's a good perk, but nothing vs old styptic agent
Also, survivors keep their items, but lose any addons they being UNLESS they run ace in the hole to keep them. So by by long life battery flashlights unless they want to waste a perk slot
Oh really, becasue me and 4 communities of 100+ members agree otherwise. Add-ons are not the problem with the item buff. Add-ons are more frequent and come in droves in the bloodweb. Items are rarer, and less likely to spawn.
Honestly you either have a horrendously lack of knowledge of the game, or you simply are lying to cover up the game breaking buffs survivors just got. I'll call you out on it, pick whichever shoe fits.

Not gonna lie, I am going to go back to find Not_Queens response just so I can screenshot it and paste it in every "Nerf NOED" thread. Myself would rather the dev's work on balancing broken over powered aspects of the game, not focus on nerfing weak - useless perks that only work against the most unskilled survivors.
-
Also survivors treat killers a lot worse than killers treat survivors.
-
So sorry for not following the Survivor Rules Handbook, I seem to have lost mine.

I don't think removing 1000s of hours of work is it, chief.
They could remove the BP cap again, and then give everyone 80'000 bp for every prestige level. They could keep the presige levels, but improve it in some way too.
-
Depends on what you look at as a Killer nerf. I think all aspects of Killers just got nerfed;
Hooks and Sabotage
- Removed skill checks for Hook sabotage.
- Killers may not hook a Survivor on a hook that is currently being sabotaged.
Toolboxes, items and add-ons
- Toolboxes now repair fewer charges of a generator, but have a greater speed boost.
- Doubled the chance to trigger a skill check when repairing a Generator with a Toolbox.
- When a Survivor item reaches zero charges, they may keep it. If they escape with that item, it will be automatically refilled for the next trial.
Zarina's Perks
- Red Herring: After repairing a Generator for at least 3 seconds, it will be highlighted to you with a yellow Aura. The Generator stays highlighted until it is fully repairing, or you repair a new Generator, or enter a Locker. Entering any Locker will trigger a Loud Noise indicator for the Killer at the highlighted Generator's location. Red Herring can only be triggered once every 100/80/60 seconds.
- For the People: For the People is only active while at full health. Press the Active Ability button while healing another Survivor without a Med-Kit to instantly heal them from Dying to Injured, or from Injured to Healthy. You become Injured and receive the Broken Status Effect for 110/100/90 seconds. You become the Obsession. Decreases your chances of being the Obsession. The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
They've changed Sabotage so that only one survivor can have complete control over the Killer's entire objective.
They've made Toolboxes able to fix generators even faster, with more chances for more great skill checks, with the entire intention to make the mid/late game even easier for survivors - while already balancing the game with the expectation the first 2 generators will be going quickly.
They've made it so survivors have an easier time keeping items, so now we will be seeing survivors taking more items more often into matches as well. Of higher quality because it will be easier to do so.
They've added another perk that is insanely powerful for SWF, and creating powerful situations for making hook saves, or simply distracting the killer.
They've brought back insta-heals.
-
Freddy, it's going to suck when they nerf him. Because "He's not fun for new survivors".
-
If I were to rank my own skills in this game. I would put myself as a Green rank Survivor, and Purple rank Killer.
Wanna know my ranks right now? Rank 1-2 for both Survivor and Killer. The only reason Killer is there still, is because I play killer maybe 3 matches a game, get sick of it, and then switch to survivor for the rest of the day. Otherwise it would go back to purple, and then I would have to use trash boring tactics to get back into red again like a sweaty player.
