I just mentioned it to him on his stream and he said he didn't think it was a bad idea. I'm not sure how much control Peanits actually has over that sort of thing, but there you go 🤷

Oh! Tell him I think he is handsome uwu

    This.

They can't nerf Moris without needing keys. They both need balancing.

Honestly they could remove both and I wouldn't complain.

  • I imagine it's power should be that for the first 20 seconds all survivors are exposed, the killer has a full map teleportation ability, and it's m1 is not a strike but creates a large radius blast.

Just so the survivors load in thinking "I hope it's not the entity" and then boom - their all dead.

  • And Killer sucks to play. This is truely the apocalypse.

  • Why not both?

Borrowed Time, Head On, Diversion, Red Herring - LETS GO!

  • I've got hit by DS more times when I wasn't tunneling, than I ever got hit by it when I did tunnel.

  • Slugging is and always will be better than hooking. Slugging does everything that hooking a survivor does, and the survivors have less utility to optimize off of it.

The people coming in here trying to discourage killers from slugging saying they just "need to get better" or "you have so many perks that work off hooking" is simply trying to force Killers to play in a way that is only better for the survivors. People with common sense know to ignore those lies.

The only reason why Killers are not slugging you all of the time is because Killers actually care if the survivors have fun. Stop being mean to killers. Start treating them with respect. They are people too.

  • I don't mind this thread being necro'd. People should make it their mission to necro it every week until they remove the aim assist from the game.

  • They say people get banned for it, but at this point I highly doubt it. I see too many of the same people being racist and encouraging people to self harm in the end game lobby that guarentee's these reports are not being taken seriously.

  • To be fair, I think it's a response to the buffs Survivors have been getting. The toolbox changes for example were supposed to be a nerf to survivors, but they increased the speed of all toolboxes turning yellow toolboxes into a BNP equivelent. Anyways staying on track with all the survivor buffs I can see that people that are not as skilled at killer resorting to easier methods to meet their goals, which the easiest is slugging.

    • Slugging stops the survivor from being able to pursue objectives like hooking does
    • Slugging forces other survivors to leave objectives to heal the downed target in the same amount of time, or less than unhooking
    • Slugging negates most of the survivors second chance perks, only being countered by a very few.

To be honest. I am surprised not all killers are relying on slugging more at this point, but the more skilled killers understand that wouldn't be fun for survivors so they don't.

High tiers are typically toxic and rude. Lower tiers are actually enjoyable to play, yes some are still toxic but there's others who would get absolutely wrecked and they would still say gg and laugh and joke.

I miss the days I was learning killer.

  • It's a good combo, but I don't think it's that likely. At least not on US East/West PC version it's not.

  • Imo the shot should always cause a wound, and a deep wound. So even if they are already injured you shoot them with the harpoon and break the chain they still fall down. Then the chain becomes more to position a survivor; away from a vault/pallet, away from the exit gate, or away from the hatch for example.

yeah, there is also a color difference between the shrouds' and the Moris' icons (the ones that appear when the game starts loading). The Moris' icons tend to be a darker and the shroud's tend to be a lighter tone of gray.

Wait is that for real? Not much of a 'secret' if you can still tell what they are by the brightness of the hidden icon. I'm going to test this tonight.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/136887/secret-offerings-for-the-killer

The Splinter Offerings were also secret, however, the Devs decided to remove them on Patch 3.6.0. However, I don't think this is that huge of a problem, there are three Mori Offerings, each one having its own functionality. When Survivors see a secret offering, it could be a Shroud, or one of the 3 Mori Offerings, not necessarily an ebony mori.

There aren't that many offerings that could be secret, because most of them just award you with extra Bloodpoints. Maybe the Hook Distance and Realm Selection offerings could be secret? Idk. It would be definitely interesting to have some new secret offerings.

but let's be real the moment you see that secret offering you assume it's an ebony mori until proven otherwise.

  • A big pointer that even I forget a lot of the time;

Congratulate when the survivor makes a good play; I find in game when a survivor succesfully loops me, jukes me, or out smarts me in some way. I don't get so stressed out if I go "Nice play, nice play", "Good stun, good stun", "Well done flashlight save, well done". Make sure you repeat it the second time to really gear it in. If you keep providing your mental thinking with positive responses to negative situations then you will have less negativity by the time you reach the scoreboard.

Also laugh when the survivor does something toxic like teabagging, emoting, flashlight spamming, or noise spamming. As irritating as those things are if you laugh like as if you are laughing with them it also stops the negative fore thoughts.

When you are doing these two things all the time as well, you start to become more aware of the mistakes you make thus learning from the stronger players instead of just being their preverbial punching bag.

    Extra tips;

Also don't forget to congratulate yourself during game. When you get a hit, or optimize on a survivors mistake give yourself a nice royal chuckle, and well played. The positive self feedback helps you concentrate better, and in time get even better at the game.

Last tip; Close the end game chat with the arrow button bottom right of the box the moment any survivor says one negative thing. Good survivors are going to punish that one toxic person, or other survivors may emphasize on it negatively, and you don't need those toxic attitudes in your life. Just hit them with the "gg wp" and/or "gl next round" and close the box if anyone sends any bm your way. If you are really resilent hit em with that "I'm sorry you didn't have fun, gl next round" and just move on.

Make sure to report any racism, or suggestions of self harm.

  • However Killers should be allowed to DC until they add an in game variation of a killer surrender. If Survivors can afk, and die on hook. Then Killer's should be able to aswell.

Before you say "Killers can go afk, then open the gates". That's if the survivors don't choose to take the game hostage and leaving 1 gen not repaired while they mex bp catagories, and then that's also another 2 minutes on top of the rest of the time you had to wait for survivors to finish gens when you open the gate yourself. Not to mention if you wanted to speed it up at all you have to "force the survivors out" which they can and most likely will just try to get as many safe loops as possible before flashlight spamming, and teabagging you at the open exit gate.

A whole lot of free abuse and bullying that the Killer shouldn't have to go through when they already didn't want to play in that game anymore. Which is why they need to be allowed to dc, or have an in game version of surrender - like being able to open the doors at any point of the game.

    No.

This is the very definition of bandaid fix.

It's been months and we see no changes to fixing the sound bug, and seeing how I ran into it twice already today - I am okay with a bandaid fix rather than nothing. It's irritating losing a sacrifice because you can't find the last dying survivor, and it's even worse when that survivor in end game chat flames you for leaving them to die out, wasting their time, and calling you blind etc etc etc.

If you rely on streamers to build your opinion, I can suggest FunGoose. He plays all killers and without addons because he thinks addons make killers too strong. He just recently ended a series of 100+ 4k games in a row. Just to expand your horizon a bit

I have been watching and subscribing to Fungoose for years, and even he will tell you the game is heavily survivor sided. He will also tell you that Killers require perks to even have a chance against survivors, but survivor don't need any to do well.

  • @Hopesfall said:

give them exposed status for trolling

had a guy tap Thrill of the Hunt at the start of the match, I left.. go sit in your queue if you want to play like that

I didn't even think of that, that would be so toxic ><

  • It's a survivor, no one is going to play her unless they like how she looks and/or the cosmetics she has. People will just level her to 40 while playing another character to take her perks, and continue with their main.

I think you need to take a break from the game honestly, you sound way too aggressive toward anyone with a different opinion. Both sides have second chance perks, you can get a number of them from the post RakimSockem made earlier in the thread.

And their wrong. The most that Killer perks do is balance the game for how broken the role is, most Killers even require add-ons just to be balanced against survivors who only run 1 perk. If you watch streamers and some of the best players you would see what I'm talking about. If you played Killer at all you would see what i'm talking about. Also telling players to "take a break" is just as toxic. The game should be fixed, not force people to play a bully simulator and we have to stop ignoring the problem.

  • I see all the survivor mains who lie on the forums and strongly defend how over powered survivors are finally woke up, and are waiting in between matches to flashlight spam, and teabagg killers before telling the killer to kill themself in the end game screen.

  • @Shirtless_Myers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1161911#Comment_1161911

This train of thought is toxic to the game's health. Both sides have 'second chance' perks, you're just failing to acknowledge them.

I am pretty sure the only toxic one here is the one calling other people toxic.

If you think the Killer has any second chance perks your sourly mistaken and most likely not good enough at the game to know how to counter Killer perks, or simply you choose not to track what the Killer is running while you play something as braindead as survivor. Survivor is the only role in the game that gives themself not only immunity but second chances from mistakes. Killer makes 1 mistake and that costs them the whole game.

  • I would say you do survivors in this order; Laurie (Decisive Strike), David (Dead Hard), then Bill (Borrowed Time). After that level all the other survivors to unlock all their perks (Buying the highest level perks and perks you don't have from the Shrine, so you don't have to level everyone to 40). Then P3 Your favorite survivor with your favorite cosmetics, and unlock all the perks on that survivor.

  • This thread is really telling us who the entitled survivors are if they think Killer has any second chance perks.

  • Killers don't have second chance perks, they have perks to balance the game.

  • I've been noticing a significant difference when running my saboteur build with Petrified Oak. However at the same time you need to remember that hook placement is entirely rng as well, so there is still a chance that two tiles adjacent to each other will have hooks spawn close to the line between two tiles.

Love it when people escort to "you're just a yellow rank", usually they admit defeat when their mouth gets shut. Also Im not gonna sit here and argue with someone who's probably trolling or entirely delusional. ☺️

Your response to me giving you legitimate advice that was blanket statements that could be used in most situations was to come back with more specific scenarios expressing your lack of skill and knowledge in how these characters work or how they are countered. Then when I called you on it, you acted like a child with "love it when people escort to". So the only one in here trolling is you, and I don't understand why they allow players who don't take the time to learn the game to be allowed to join discussions on the forums. It doesn't help the game move forward, and only causes toxicity like you are bringing.

  • @minehot said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1161630#Comment_1161630

You just listed a ways to counter and lets look at the scenarios you've listed from a realistic perspective!

Freddy puts you in dream state if he hits you and its gg if he trapped a loop, can't be awaken while in chase. Iron Will is the only perk that counters Spirit but if shes smart enough she will not give you a chance to mindgame and not every loop has grass around it. As of Nurse, you can only punish bad Nurse players who overshoot their blink. Good nurses will blink short distance and if they are mindful of when to blink and save charges then its gg.

Also I disagree about Huntress, she requires more skill to play than Freddy and Spirit plus she can be mindgamed with wasting her hatchets.

So from your opinion and experience, you can outplay Freddy, Spirit and Nurse but you have problem with the most counterable killer from them that is Huntress.

Boy do you have a lot to learn about the game. I'm not going to sit here and argue in pharagraphs with someone who belongs in yellow ranks.

  • He's boring because all the new players don't want to take the time to learn how to counter a Killer with more utility than most.

  • @minehot said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1161593#Comment_1161593

Nurse, Freddy and Spirit are indeed very easy to be looped and mindgamed /s

When you know how to. Freddy just stay awake, or watch for the snares/pallets. Spirit watch for the grass, keep quiet, be mindful of your scratch marks (Iron Will is a good perk against all Killers). Nurse know how long she charges her teleport - open spaces is actually easier to loop her than around pallets.

There you go the basics for all 3. Honestly I would prefer any of these three over facing a Huntress personally. Huntress requires a lot less skill, and delivers a lot more punishment when you lose the mind game, since she gives a lot less oppurtunity for survivors to abuse second chance perks.

  • @minehot said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1161579#Comment_1161579

6 of them can be looped and mindgamed while the others aren't offering that much of an counterplay.

You mean 6 of them you learned how to counterplay, and that's just your opinion from your perspective instead of looking at the scenario from the outside in. I don't have an issue with any of these Killers, including Deathslinger. Actually I would say Deathslinger is the easiest to mindgame out of the whole lot.

I just listed all the Killers who have an easy time taking advantage of safe loops.

  • @gatsby said:

Deathslinger pretty much ignores the game's core mechanics and doesn't teach players much of anything to improve on or against other Killers.

Deathslinger doesn't really do looping. The odds of pallet stunning one are near zero. They just mindgame you until they quickscope through a crack, a window or on a long wall. Honestly, chases with Deathslinger come down to him whiffing shots more than they have anything to do with a survivor's skill. At best, survivors are just making his shots harder to hit, but in the end it all comes down to the Deathslinger's aim.

Deathslinger doesn't really do the terror radius thing either. It's extremely popular to run Monitor on him to get the 16m stealth radius. Even perks like Spine Chill aren't great against him because its very hard to tell how close he is because his heartbeat gives you about as much info as Freddy's dream world music. He can literally sneak up on generators and quickscope from behind a wall outside of his terror radius so there's really no reaction time for the first hit in some scenarios.

He's a cool concept and all. And I bet he'll bring a lot of new players into the game because FPS mechanics. But I don't think he really works with the established gameplay of Dead By Daylight and kinda just does his own thing.... I think there's a reason why the Devs held off on an FPS Killer for so long. Playing against Red Ranked Deathslingers feels like you loaded into a different game altogether.

Couldn't this be said the same about Huntress, Nurse, Spirit, Clown, Trapper, Freddy, Hag, Doctor, and Legion?

  • Whoaaaaa talk about necromancing a thread 😂

  • Since I started playing I have been wanting to play in a Haunted Mansion setting with a graveyard in the backyard. A primarily indoor map with some outdoor for the backyard, graveyard, and Killer Shack. Also with hidden doors that lead to secret passages to add some extra finesse to the game for Killer and survivor. They find the hidden switch in a room, perform a timed action to open it, and the passage door stays open for a few seconds before closing again. A good reference is the mansion from the board game Clue, or the house in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.

  • i named him barnaby

  • I don't even see the point in taking breaks anymore. Everyone tells you to take a break when playing Killer stresses you out, but you can play 2 games that are exactly the same. Leave, and then come back and get the exact same games. There is no point at all in playing, so i'll just play when my friends get on later at night for KYF, or SWF. I feel bad for those that don't have anyone to play with though, as they get the worst of it in this game.

  • @lynelmane said:

Killers can go afk until the survivors finish the gens and escape. Just go AFK until they do all gens, open the gates yourself, and they are then forced out. Sure, it takes longer, but it is a way to surrender.

Killers can go afk until survivors decide to finish the game, effectively taking the game hostage. Just go afk until they let you go. Then open the gate yourself, forcing you to wait another 2 minutes unless you want to deal with watching them bm you at the gates as you try to force them out.

    Fixed. You're welcome.

  • Maybe we should @ all the dev's to this thread to show them the appreciation they get from Survivors who are already so catered towards.

Once you give people so much they become entitled they stop appreciating everything you do. But at least you won't get that from the Killers you've been stabbing in the back all this time.

  • A guy told me to kill myself because I had to camp the last surv, and got 2 kills out of it. Smh. Today I basically quit playing Killer.

  • I doubt they will. Honestly I am at the point thinking that they treat the Killer that their only role is to provide fun for the survivors, and their fun or satisfaction doesn't matter.

That wouldn't be good enough to be an Iridescent. It might save less then half a second each time you fire.

It should be able to down survivors effected by Deep Wounds, but also make it so your basic attack doesn't give Deep Wounds after a shot anymore. That way you can down over pallets, but you have to eat the stun each time to do so.

If it was cheaper I would be okay with that. Idc how. I just want to shoot 360 no scope.
