  • I don't use it. I use Make Your Choice instead. Omg Make Your Choice is such a good perk on Deathslinger.

  • BHVR reads this thread - Makes running you have to quickly tap SHIFT instead of holding it.

  • Would you get a banned to use a macro that rotates through pressing spacebar - spacebar every 25ms?

  • Killers have no way to surrender at all, and I think that is 100x worse than Survivors suiciding on hook.

How about giving Killers a way to surrender at all.

Autodidact + We'll Make It sound like a plan, but, if we think about it a little more, We'll Make It alone is good enough, if you activate it..

We'll Make it is strong alone. I don't know what you mean by "if you activate it" it activates every time you get an unhook. His explaination of the build is simple. Solidarity makes it so that everyone else heals you quickly when you heal them. We'll Make It 's increased healing speed makes up for the first 2 skill checks on Autodidact. Then when you start getting stacks on Autodidact you are insta healing Survivors off hook, and getting insta-healed in return.

I am not saying it's the most powerful build, but it's really fun to use, and certainly not the weakest. You can tell by that a high rank solo survivor does so well with it.

  • Biet plays with Solidarity perfectly. You should watch his streams. He runs Solidarity, Autodiadect, We'll Make It, and Iron Will.

  • This is a bug, not a "tech"

  • I strongly believe that bad players should not be allowed to post on the forums. Some things you all need to know;

    • Freddy is weak. He is easy to counter, easy to loop, all of his abilities come with visual and sound notifications. Literally his terror radius is BIGGER when you fall asleep, and you don't even get slowed down unless he has slow down add ons - which have been nerfed into the ground that they also don't even matter.
    • His biggest counter is just to wake up. Which is very simple, just don't be stupid and fail a skill check to wake up.
    • Forever Freddy was never, and never will be a strong build. It didn't even bother good survivors, because they rarely stayed asleep for long anyways.

I find it funny that BHVR can rework a killer to make them balanced, and then you suddenly can tell the difference of a bad survivor or good survivor by just having them answer "Do you like facing Freddy?". Like to me, I don't see him as any more annoying than any other Killer. Heck I would take facing Freddy over Huntress any day. Throw a good Huntress at a good survivor, and huntress wins because you can't just dead brain safe loop her. However all other killers in the game if you know how they work, you just safe loop them till they either give up on you or all the gens are done.

  • Or add voice chat to the game already, and then balance the game around 4 man swf like your supposed to BHVR

inb4 the stupid "I don't want to hear a 12 year old (music, screaming, breathing, noise, etc, etc, etc)". Then mute it, at that point it's your fault for not using tools provided to you.

Aiming and shooting is MUCH easier with Deathslinger than Huntress. It is also MUCH easier to surprise survivors with Deathslinger than Huntress. Do not ignore the fact that harpoon travels much faster than survivors so it is harder for them to avoid projectile. Please gain some knowledge about Deathslinger before you call him bad.

    I'm guessing you havn't played him much. I literally have taken shots in KYF where the harpoon goes through the survivors shoulder, or head because the hitbox is so small. We've tested this. Like if you are not actually testing things why are you even on the forums at all? The facts of the matter are;

    • He's incredibly weak
    • He's has a lot of bugs
    • This has been tested by people who take testing seriously, and most of the top players you can find on Youtube and Twitch all with the same opinion.

So don't bother me with that "please gain some knowledge about deathslinger" and instead give your own head a shake to have the common sense to do an inkling of research before even saying anything at all.

  • I'm tired of playing Killer. It's 0 fun. Too stressful. You deal with too many toxic 4man red rank swf that are just going to bm you in game and in end game chat.

  • @inferjus said:

He has a harpoon gun which he can use to shorten the distance between him and survivor in way more efficient way than most of the other killers. He has small terror radius which combined with Monitor and Abuse is as big as Myers' Tier 2. Really, stop complaining that he is slow and focus on his strong sides which you can take advantage of.

Do you even know how bad logic that is? Do you realize how long it takes to reel people in? Hit them, recover from the hit, and then reload? THEN You have to do it all over again, with a projectile that has a smaller hitbox than all other hiboxes in the game, so small it can even go under a survivors arm, or between their legs?

All the while each time you do hit you give the survivor a second and a half speed boost to create distance FARTHER than you can shoot.

But yeah throw away the fact this is probably one of the weakest Killers right out of the release because "you can drag survivors".

Have you even played the Killer in high ranks, against high rank survivors?

He's not that hard to aim with honestly but it's the hitbox that's ######### up. (I play Rainbow Six Siege, COD, BF, etc)

The hitbox is the survivors model, not the same one that is applied to huntress hatchets. So you can miss survivors by mere pixels under their arm, or over the shoulder. It's really stupid.

  • My excuse is I didn't start playing Dead by Daylight because i'm good at FPS games. I assume if we get some big COD player in here to run him a few trials we will see a much bigger difference than what any of us have been doing.

What do you think of the new patch? I believe they changed it so each match automatically starts with one well already tainted

Doesn't matter. Literally makes no difference against good survivors. They just play around it. Plague pretty much going to get any tainted fountain at any point in the game is valuable time wasted - when Killer rely's so heavily on every second of the game. Then in the time after taking the tainted fountain to turning, finding, and chasing a survivor again takes too much time out of her power.

That's without me even going into detail about how easy her power is to avoid. It's like the only time she will hit good survivors is if she is in an open map like auto havens, farm, or preschool.

Her concept looks good on paper, but with how the game runs currently - mechanically, she is too weak in too many areas a Killer needs to be strong in.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention, good survivors cleanse anyways, and one tainted fountain randomly on the map just speeds up till the survivors start forcing fountains to reset in most cases as well.

  • Plague needs a rework. Really bad. The rest of the Killers can be balanced with some buffs.

If your only option is to die, then something needs to change.

Survivors shouldn't have to point at a hook because both Exit Gates spawn on the same border wall. The same applies to killers giving up because both Exit Gates spawn on opposite sides.

Before you say, the killer won and deserves a free 4K, we don't know HOW he won. I could be the best survivor on the team and still lose because my teammates DC'd or fed a camping LF.

Don't twist what i've said to just to try and manipulate the discussion. Don't die then. Finish the rest of the gen's and escape like your supposed to. You're not entitled to a free win mechanic like the hatch. The hatch penalizes the killer for doing their objective well.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1151572#Comment_1151572

Am I wrong though? I've not seen a single team try and sabo every hook, when I've seen sabo I've been the only one using it, I'm not wrong that players kicked up a fuss because they saw "2.5seconds" and had absolutely no understanding that it wouldn't impact the game much at all.

You are not seeing how i've been seeing it in most of my matches, and I have been running a sabo build since the update. You think i'm not going to take advantage of having full control over the killers whole objective? Any survivor can hold M1 on a gen, and that's all I need the other 3 survivors for.

I'm going to type to you like how I see you treat people on these forums, so hopefully you understand.

Don't be so stupid and just assume the state of the game is what is from just your perspective. The game is worldwide, and over multiple platforms. Youre experience in this game greatly differs from the majority of players. It's pretty ignorant of you to just insult people because they don't believe or experience what you assume is fact.

  • The communities I've joined. That's the only reason i'm still playing. Also the only reason i'm going to keep playing. If I didnt' have the friends I made playing this game, and still playing this game - I wouldn't be playing it either. Honestly they are also the only ones keeping the game fun at this point - at least until Resident Evil: Project Resistance comes out.

Which is another thing. There is a possibility with the recent updates to the game, and the direction the game is going. It could be they are getting their money worths out of the game before it dies to the big competition that's just around the corner. Instead of trying to fight a big triple A company head on they are instead just counting, and getting as much coin as they can from the current playerbase. While at the same time catering to cult followings like Entitled Survivors to keep them running afterwards.

  • I've been running solo

Alex's Toolbox w/ Hacksaw, Wire Spool (Petrified Oak)

Saboteur, Breakout, Iron Will, Sprint Burst

Easiest games of my life, once the other survivors see that the killer can't get hooks at all. They just do gen's, and then I loop / sabo the killer any time they try to do their objective. EZ wins, and EZ games for anyone who get's matched with me. Thank-you BHVR for giving me full control of the Killer's objective.

Please quote and highlight for me where I said anyone was entitled to anything.

You made quite a leap from "impossible to escape" to "entitled to escape."

But that's to be expected at this point

If you already lost, then just die. The entire hatch mechanic was implemented because survivors were taking the game hostage when they lost.

If you lost, you lost. If you failed your goal to keep others alive so that you could achieve your goal to complete all the gens to escape. You. Lost.

You are not entitled to a hatch, and you are certainly not entitled to a gate.

I don't even care about end game perks like NOED, Blood Warden, or Remember Me. They suck against good survivors. Not even a problem for good survivors. I'm just calling you out on the obvious entitlement your writing, and if your ignorant to your own entitlement - then you need to work on that.

  • @DocFabron said:

    Cause of EGC.

If killer closed hatch and the survivor had to open exits, they'd have no chance.

Tbh all they had to do was make it not activate if the hatch is closed...

    @brokedownpalace said:

I believe it was because with the last survivor, if the killer closed the hatch, it made opening an exit gate impossible, basically. Not 100% sure tho

Just because you are the last survivor in the game does not mean you are entitled to escaping. There is no reason why the last of the gens should be automatically completed for you, nor does it mean you should be granted not one but 3 optional escape routes in which 2 you have to simply just wait furthest from the free win mechanic to also get to exploit for free.

    @HectorBrando said:

If the last survivor is the one who did everything, played really well and pulled his weight but got teamed with potatos he also deserves a chance at escaping.

You still failed to keep the other alive, the same ones you NEEDED to survivor yourself, and failed to complete your objective. You are not entitled to a free win mechanic when you failed at all of your objectives.

I'll agree with you there. The system screws you over for ending the game too fast. Honestly, instant downs should count as two chases as far as I'm concerned if you insta-down someone who's fully healthy.

Chase mechanics totally screw over Huntress as well.

It's a mess of bad mechanics that don't work well with a ranking system.

The whole emblem system is broken. Almost everything that takes from the Killers emblem are all things that are out of their control. Meanwhile on the survivor side they have so many things that they don't even control giving them points.

So we end up with bad survivors in high ranks, and good Killers struggling to keep their rank.

And yet we're still facing it after 4 months. In all this time, they couldn't just fix it? They seem to find plenty of time to slam out DLC and Cosmetics, patch 'bugs' and change gameplay elements, but can't find the slightest bit of time to try fix the core problem with the game. Seems reasonable to me!

It wasn't an issue for survivors. They are looking into it now because survivors are complaining there are no Killers. x'D

  • No because you had consumed all of it's charges prior. However if you escape you still keep the key - unless you escape via the hatch.

Also if you don't use all of the key's charges, and use it to open the hatch i'm pretty sure it you lose it in that instance as well.

She's really strong right now, but only on maps that aren't huge.

I admit though, post ruin nerf, her early game suffers greatly.

Though, with this buff you can run Severed Toe + Incense which lets you get GREAT generator stall and tracking WITH a guaranteed corrupt purge.

If you can't capitalize on the corrupt purge, you will fall flat though, for sure. The thing with Plague is building up to a full broken team and then going into full snowball mode.

That's as I described, and still completely rng based. Which even the emblem system will penalize you for snowballing. The game doesn't resolve around snowballing. She still needs a rework.

  • @Dehitay said:

You can just immediately get the points back that you lost by downing one of the 2 targets now right in front of you, and then get even more points by chasing the other one and downing them as well.

Yes I talked about that, the 1 for 1 rule doesn't work when you have survivors healing at the other end of the map during a drawn out end game.

You're not going to go to the opposite end of the map as your last 3 gen's during the end game just to stop 1-2 survivors from healing. When there is 1-2 survivors dashing into and out of trying to repair one of the last 3 generators.

You combine that with the fact that survivors can now recklessly insta heal each other right infront of you, striking down your malicious emblem. You just can't keep up with that if 2 or more survivors are running the perk.

  • @Peanits said:

I can confirm that yes, they do indeed work. Both the in-game reports and the support tickets for attaching videos to your reports are used.

I used to be one of the guys that went through reports before starting full time as a CM. There's a team of people dedicated solely to going through reports. You may not see them get banned, but that's because most things start off with temporary bans that don't show on their profile - barring cheating or things like real life threats.

How about adding a reward system for proper reports like Legue of Legends has? That way people know it's actually working.

  • Faster survivor que because more players are playing the new Killer.

Which I find funny because no matter how much the dev's tried to deny it. This more than proves the community was right that the long survivor wait time was due to the fact there wasn't enough Killers. Once people have had their fill we are going to go back to the 15-20 minute wait times, until we finally see some real buffs coming Killers way (that are not just band aid perks that get nerfed just before live release)

  • Why would they want to make only the people nearest the servers have good matches, instead of treating all players fairly?

  • @Todgeweiht said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1151633#Comment_1151633

Or the third option, you infect all survivors, go for your lethal puke, and they either start cleansing or get downed immediately.

Then while you are going to get your lethal puke, the time that takes - gives the survivors enough time to heal and/or do a gen or two. Not to mention that good survivors steadily heal against plague. They just do so safely and in a manner that forces the plague to waste most of her time trying to get her power alone. Or they cleanse at all the fountains resetting them.

Is it just me who normally has games where we force the plagues fountains to reset at least 1 or twice in a single trial?

  • @Dehitay said:

If you want iridescent malicious emblems, use Legion and just go full shank. Hit everything as much as possible regardless if deep wounds is applied and you're garunteed it.

Lol that's what I did for the Malicious challenge. This thread isn't for the challenges. I was just pointing it out.

It's bad enough that the Killer has almost 0 control over it's own emblem system, but now with this added on top of it. Like c'mon it was bad enough that you couldn't stop survivors from healing far away from the generators, now they are just doing it right infront of your face too.

At least it makes one of the broken status, but 1 hit for 1 heal and the amount of free heals survivors get during a dragged out end game. You just can't stop that.

I would reccomend buffing the Malicious emblem to give 2-3 points per hit if For the People becomes meta in later weeks.

  • @Peanits said:

To put it very simply, it was one of those things that appeared very unpopular at first glance, but there was a cult following to it. Since it's an add-on and completely optional, there's no harm in bringing it back.

Aside from cluttering my blood webs and wasting my blood points, you mean. Kind of like the junk add-on that makes Nurse a powerless M1 killer.

If you're going to make it green now, then you could have at least made it better. :/

I don't think the "cult following" would have complained to a buff.

  • tbf I think all the killers terror radius be made to be as small/quiet as Deathslingers, actually bring some scare tactic back to the killers.

  • The Plague has her buff, but it doesn't make any real difference. Either the plague uses the fountain early and wastes it, or she doesn't use it and remains weak. It's a really big coin flip, that very rarely works out in the Plagues favor.

Honestly before the buff, and even now I think she needs to get Freddy'd.

  • Is the myth true, exposed status works with his power?

  • Is this bait? They legitmately buffed survivors. I literally have more friends coming to the game now than I did before. I don't think both are because of the same reason, but I don't see the game losing any survivors from the recent buffs.

  • Except right now Killers are weaker than Survivors in 1v1 situations. Survivors have all control. They choose when a pallet drops, they can choose where the chase goes, and ultimately they can ignore upwards to 11-12 mistakes they make with ease. The only way a good survivor can get caught is if s/he chooses to, and the only "Killers" that can stop that are ones that can ignore looping mechanics.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1148442#Comment_1148442

I mean, in PTB sabo wouldn't be used until you finished breaking the hook, it now disables as soon as you stop, so if you hit someone trying to sabo, sabo it disabled and the only way to beat it would be with a tool box, I've played a lot of killer since death slinger game out and haven't had a single person trying to sabo, again, players kicking up a fuss about something that isn't going to be used all that much.

Are you just always rude when you respond to people?
