Most killers love a good chase. The longer and more difficult the chase is, the more enticing it is to try and catch or maim the victim, therefore initiating bloodlust. Difficult prey makes a memorable catch.
That’s how I think of it, anyway.
-
Sorry. Jake Main here and I haven’t noticed anything.
However, his movements does bug out at lobbies at times.
But other than that, haven’t noticed a thing.
Edit: Do you have any video proof of this bug?
-
Plague Main here.
-
That’s a rift challenge. The canker will still spawn, once the challenge is picked.
-
Yes. Some people find the Survivor role really easy, a select few find the Killer role easier than Survivor.
Playing both sides just gives a huge benefit.

I think with falling for it you mean running to her. But isnt the problem that you never know whether she is phasing and she can do it forever.
I believe so. At times you can tell, but that’s only after you know she just phased.
I think even the sparkles on her body (an indication that she’s phasing) was removed. Don’t know it that’s a bug or not, but I don’t see it anymore. Playing as Spirit, I do notice a difference regarding that. I hope the removal isn’t intended.
-
Lol.
This is old, but didn’t Jake used to have a backstory based on this?
-
If it works, it works. So yeah?
Not many people fall for it, though.
-
Oh dear.
-
You made all of that??
That’s pretty neat
-
I don’t hate Ace Mains, but they scare me immensely as Killer.
They’ll completely decimate me in loops and be classy about it. Nothing bad, just classy.
Love it.

I don't hate her, but Elodie reminds me of an awful match I had. I kept trying to heal her and she was on a gen and died. In end game chat she said I did nothing and could have touched a gen when I was the only one to complete a gen alone and then went looking for the hex in place (lullaby) I only know this because it was on a TTV and I felt awful about it, I wished I could have texted back to let them know I was trying to help but I crouched due to Victor a lot and they thought I was urbaning to annoy them. From that one experience I start feeling anxious around that character :((
Don’t let them get to ya, especially if you did your best.
-
I appreciate the concern and all, but we need the DC Penalty here.
-
Oni, Doctor, or Huntress. They have some creative Moris.
Edit: Doctor vs Raiden lol

"Looking at a locker" Yeah, maybe that'd make sense.
*Locker is 32 meters away and your Instinct tells you a survivor is in there* Not so much.
Fair enough, lol
-
It’s an instinct. An accurate one at that.
In a frenzy, you look at a locker and think, “oh, someone might be in there. I wanna grab’em and kill’em.”
That’s how I think of it, anyways.
-
Honestly.
Like, let people use whatever perks they wanna use, without having the need to call them out for it.
-
Love Prove Thyself.
I always run it. The extra Bloodpoints are nice too.

Pips matter to me.
Playing solo Survivor, I try my best to help my team and pips let me know where I need to improve. That and recording my matches helps immensely.
The only time I don’t care about pips is when I’m in SWF. My friends don’t take the game seriously and I have so much fun with them, de-ranking doesn’t sting anymore. It’s a time to unwind.
However, going back to solo, it stings a lot when a de-pip. It (almost always) means that I didn’t do my part well. It’s a bit frustrating, especially because I see posts about how solos are underpowered and/or that solos often drive the team into losing, since there is little to no communication.
As a solo Survivor, I gotta do my best to make up for that lack of communication. Being that one random in games is my pride. Getting into higher ranks puts me against better players, both Killers and Survivors, which means more room to improve. Which means, again, that pips matter to me.
It only stress me out a bit, not to a point where I hate playing for pips, it’s to a point where it’s one of the things I love about DBD.
Edit: To answer the original question: No, gaining a pip does not always mean a win.

One shouldn't be looping near a hooked survivor in the first place. They should do their best to lure the killer away.
This.
-
🥰🥰 Love these kinds of threads.
Have a good morning and a great day, I’ll be on the lookout for you.
-
You saw an opportunity and you took it. You made the right choice.
Enough said.
-
I get that the points and the Emblem System is odd but.. my god.
That should’ve been a pip. Sure, two kills and two escapes equals balanced yadayadayada-
But, that should’ve been a pip.
I dunno anymore.

What you have in mind was the early change to hooks. Saboteur itself got changed later with only taking a few seconds to break a hook but I think they changed the respawn time of hooks additionally with it from 3 minutes to 1 or less?
Ah okay, thanks!
-
I thought past Saboteur was nerfed because it permanently broke hooks? I dunno, I’ll look back on the patch notes soon.
Anyway, Saboteur isn’t good by itself and I don’t think it’s meant to be good by itself. It destroys the one thing Killers have to do in order to play even remotely well in the game. I’m interested in seeing a buff similar to your idea, but it probably won’t be healthy for the game.
Combined with other perks (for good synergy) and a good SWF (optional), Sabotage is pretty annoying to deal with.
The only problem I think Saboteur has is the cool-down that happens when you don’t actually Sabo the hook. That’s also annoying.
-
Maybe it’s a bug. Jake’s beard (the blue hair from the rift.) didn’t appear when the cosmetic first showed up, then it was fixed.
-
I can’t see you.
You can’t see me.
Therefore, I am hidden.
-
Isn’t this a reportable offense?
Did you report them?
-
Lolol. Even his scarf is gone 😞
-
As others mentioned above, Plague is devoted to the Entity for “saving” her and/or giving her power to carry out it’s will. She probably does feel remorse for the Survivors, but only because they reject her god. Everything they got coming to them, she will be the one delivering with blind faith.
As for the Entity shapeshifting, isn’t the Fog a manifestation of the Entity?
That would mean some of the Add-Ons and items are made directly from it as well.
Or do you mean in the real world, in a way where the Entity IS the plague in Adiris’ story?
I really hope I understood this question.
-
I remember when someone kept unhooking me in front of the Killer. Without BT.
”I thought you had DS” They said. “Everyone runs that”
It was beautiful.
-
It’s not.

Why's everyone so heated about this? It's just a game, it doesn't impact you in real life.
If someone manages to kobe in front of me I don't rage on the forums. I think "get over here and let me heal you ya goober."
It's not toxic, but it is stupid on the hooked persons side to risk going into the struggle phase.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts, lol
-
I’ll only attempt to unhook myself if I know the person coming to save me won’t make it on time before I go into second stage.
Otherwise yeah, agreed. It’s funny to see.
But, I can also see why others think it’s a bad idea.
-
Twirl around. It works for me most of the time, especially when other Survivors start spinning and just memeing around.
Note: As many have mentioned above, don’t force others who don’t wanna farm to farm with you. It counts as griefing and that’s a no-no here.
-
As a Jake main, I’ll admit: Playing as him does give me a bit of an ego boost. I don’t know what it is.
But, as a Yui main also.. 😞 This saddens me.
-
You do you.
-
85% on both Killer and Survivor.
PS4.
-
Gonna try this.
-
Awe.
-
A healthy Survivor looping the Killer around a hooked teammate.
Then said teammate goes into second stage, right after healthy/injured Survivor finally leads the Killer away.

@BadMrFrosty said:
- Not doing any generators. Ever.
- Crouching around the map at all times.
- Going down in 30 seconds (if that).
These things really make the game unbearable, since I can't carry three incompetent people if the killer just leaves me to go for them. If you are one of these people, and you know it, with all love and respect: #%$* you. : )
Third one, ehh.
First two, completely understandable. Getting teammates who don’t do generators are a doozy.
-
I heard the Doctor gives lots of BP, especially with Distressing and BBQ & Chilli.
-
“Spireh”
I love this.
-
A match against a Deathslinger, on The Game map.
He hooked my teammate above a hole on the map. Me, being under, is thinking “Haha! This’ll be an easy save”.
A second after thinking that, Deathslinger fires at me from above the hole. The interesting part is that: he never reeled me in. Never moved.
To this day, I don’t know if he was just as surprised as I was, or if it was a warning.
Almost made me drop my controller.

Shirtless Dwight and Jake because I thirst.
Shirtless Trapper and Wraith and Pyramid Head too whilst I'm talking about it.
Hopefully some Ugly Sweaters for newer characters.
Also the 2021 New Year charm they leaked with the best description ever, "No matter how we designed this charm, we couldn't make it as horrible as 2020."
I’m rooting for this.
-
Survivors: Jake and Yui, they’re fun to play as. I love their cosmetics, their backstory, their aesthetics, and pretty much anything to do with them.
Killers: Spirit and Plague, for the same reasons. Although, I have more fun playing as Plague.
-
Saboteur.*cough* -
Wraith.
I don’t do very well against Ghostface, but Wraith-
He’s a completely different story in the right hands.
-
There are some good things with solo.
- Solo helps with improving and handling yourself as Survivor.
- See the weirdest, random people and have some silly games.
- Just some unexpected matches in general, never know what’s coming.
- For some, it allows them to play the “Selfish Survivor”, role of the game. Others, to be the “MVP random” if their teammates were SWF.
- I can’t think of what else to put here, lol.
