Bringing a key doesn't guarantee a win, and neither does bringing a mori.
They still have gens to finish before hatch spawns.

What's funny to me is that a keys real purpose is to replace bond, it's not just a hatch escape.
And flashlights don't last forever. Lightborn counters them completely now.
Franklin's also works, for any item.
I understand it's more difficult getting the perks you want for specific killers, maybe they'll update add-ons to help replace the perks. Kinda like sloppy butcher replaced by mangled add-ons.
True.
It’s also true that some people bring keys harmlessly. (If that’s a good word for it.) But, sometimes the Killer won’t see it that way. In turn they’ll probably bring a Mori, play dirty, or for what I hope in these cases, bring Franklin’s and we can have a game without everyone disrespecting each other.
Can’t wait for Keys and Moris to be reworked, honestly.
As for flashlights, this is when I’m Survivor and all of my teammates bring a flashlight, lol. Some of them do gens and use their flashlights effectively, in other games they all try to annoy the Killer as much as possible. I seem to never get an in-between.
-
As Survivor, I only dodge keys in solo or if I see too many flashlights.
In my experience: It’s simply because I never really had a good match when a teammate brings a key.
As for flashlights, well, too many of them will be going for flashlight saves (which IS great), but some of them also tend to avoid doing any generators. Sometimes they’ll even avoid repairing them, in an effort to just annoy the Killer for no reason.
And what do ya know? Oh no, the Killer starts getting serious and we all get slaughtered with only 1 or 2 gens done. And I de-pip.
Splendid.
Again, this is just my experience.
-
I’m seeing quite a bit of these kinds of threads lately.
Where are y’all getting these farming Killers from??
;-; I want some of them. -
I don’t see Spirit much.
However, I see Freddy and his map too much.
Edit: Forgot to answer the actual question: I see Freddy at least 3 or 4 times a day. The thing is, as a Killer, he’s fine. It’s just how most people choose to behave with him that makes me sick.
-
I like gen-rushing.
I go against too many Freddy’s to not like it.
-
Plague. I imagine she would have some elegant, but creepy music.
Same goes for Nurse.
-
Poetic.
But you do you, sir/ma’am.

Incase you needed more reminders...
I submit to you, Solo Q, Rank 13, 360° Nancy
kinda feel like spamming this everywhere, tbh
This is both funny and horrifying at the same time.
-
This is an interesting take on things.
Personally, I wouldn’t mind it. I’m all for Keys and Moris to be reworked of course, but if they just made it so that everyone can safety pip, then I wouldn’t mind.
I’m also one of those people who cares about getting at least a safety pip with matches sooo.. yeah.
-
Jake has a puffy Ski Jacket??
I need it.
Anywho, I searched the wiki to see if any cosmetics matched this description and couldn’t find it.
If it’s removed, I’m gonna be sad.

Okay, so I actually did the maths, and assuming that 1 Devotion level is 200 hours, you need to play DbD for 30 million+ years.
Whoa. O-o

A theory is not me "assuming", it's a theory. The rest of your comment is super weird and seems more focused on trying to figure out why I think the way I do rather than discussing the theory. That's not how you have a reasonable discussion!
You did say one thing that discussed the theory which was "The fact that there is information of people entering a fog and reports of missing people indicates that the Entity realm is real" No, according to this theory, that's just the Entity imagining their backgrounds. There is no "outside world", everything you see in-game DBD is merely a dream. What you said doesn't disprove the theory. Maybe the theory isn't falsifiable though, I can't think of how it could be?
Another thing for this theory; There can multiple clone Survivors in the same trial. What's with that? It's almost like they aren't individuals, and merely just another representation of an imagined character the Entity dreams up. I see no other way to explain that (lorewise, gameplay wise it's easy to explain that but we're not talking about gameplay) so I think that further supports this theory. Really, if they're souls are dragged into the trial, how can there be more than one of them? Is the duplicate a creation of the entity modeled after the real thing? If they are, who is to say they aren't all duplicates (Like the Temple of Purgation, built from parts of Adiris' memory, it's clearly not the real thing, just a representation of it. The characters may not be the real thing either)
In regards the clone thing, I think someone said that the devs didn’t want to limit anyone on which Survivor they prefer.
Though, doesn’t mean it can’t be related to the lore.
Anyways, this is an interesting theory no doubt, it can explain why some of the lore has been retconned or whatnot, (Entity going off everything based on inaccurate memories) but what about the Void?
-
I wish I had your games.
Getting a farming Killer is rare, lol. They’re always the silliest games and on top of that, free bloodpoints.
But anyways, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong: You DC’ed because the match isn’t fun?
DC’ing because a match, a farming match of all games, isn’t fun is just not the way to go.
Not all matches are gonna be fun. And disconnecting because of this is one of the reasons why the DC penalty is here.
-
I can hear this, oml-
-
I assume the Survivors go out to look for items (Stuff in the Blood Web.) Then wait at the campfire for their next trial.
-
This is an interesting claim.
Are you talking about face-camping and hard tunneling, or the lighter version of these? (Where the Killer is forced to do it.)
-
Yeah. It’s kind of a mess.
-
I go solo often so:
Bond to see teammates and to know what I need to do.
Prove Thyself for a little extra Bloodpoints on the side, also if we need to speed up gen repair.
Desperate Measures because I can’t live without it. Healing and unhooking speeds are great.
Iron Will to try and hide from the Killer if need be, and/or to make goofy plays.
Basically, any perk that works throughout the majority of the match.
-
Blood trails and crows are your best buddies.
-
Those icons. 😍
-
I only use it for Adept Jake, running all of Jake’s perks for aesthetics, or if I’ve been getting a lot of games where Killers run screaming perks.
There are some Killers who do pay attention to crows in a match, (without the need of Spies from the Shadows) but not much, from what I’ve seen.
In conclusion: I use it for fun.

None of that matters anyway in a match where it’s within mere seconds that the killer is already on me.
I’m not talking about being the first found because of the higher likelihood of already having reached the middle of the match after some time. This is about the frustration of being almost immediately spotted once the match starts. I haven’t even had a chance to properly process where exactly where I’ve spawned in a particular map and get my orientation right inside my mind.
I’ve heard of issues of the match starting before someone is able to completely load in.
I was playing on Switch, and everyone around me started moving before I could even get a chance to move.
A friend of mine had similar problem on PlayStation, but he could hear the TR gradually growing louder.
I don’t know if it helps, but could that also be the issue?
-
Can relate.
Spawned in a match with a Michael who found me like, 2 seconds in.
Thankfully he just stalked, but my was that a good little jumpscare.
-
I was in a similar situation: Climbed to red ranks with Swf, started playing solo almost religiously, and got stuck at rank 8 or 6 for a long time. Faced the reality that there are just some I couldn’t control and eventually, got used to it.
Bond and Iron Will (Mostly Bond) carried me through solo and into red ranks. It helps me recognize the situation I’m in and adjust quickly. Kindred, or any aura reading perk is good as well.
But, again, before all of that I had to accept that there are things simply out of my control. So that helped as well.
-
Is Desperate Measures Meta or Non-Meta?
I just simply can’t go without that perk.
-
Want it.
-
Yep.
I was one of those baby killers, who couldn’t figure out how to kick a generator.
-
Saddening.

Oh jesus, was it that bad?
Don’t know. I wasn’t there when it went down, so I apologize. 😣 I miss him as well.
But, as @OniWantsYourMacaroni said, we can’t talk about bans.
-
Banned.
Can’t say any more than that.
-
The sanctimony is, quite strong with these threads.
Can’t even tell who’s being serious.
-
A friend of mine suggested showing the injuries inflicted on a Survivor. He didn’t want it to be accurate or gruesome, just some small detail.
-
This.
-
That’s a neat idea, I wanna see something like this.

Or maybe the killer's just a sore loser and can't accept the fact that maybe the Entity doesn't like them as much as they like themselves 😄
Oh.
Now I feel dumb. Lol

I used to play Swf all the time.
Soon found my peace with solo.
-
Huh
-
That’s kind of trippy, lol
-
Agreed, it looked great without the beard. 😞
But, it is what it is.
-
I love this thread.

I think I get what you’re saying, but it just wouldn’t make sense for Iron Will to silence coughing.
It’s only for silencing grunts of pain, not necessarily sickness.

Lol yes I am. I have 6000 hours and most of my killer gameplay is of Nurse, so I think that’s why it’s matching me with players like this.
Your patience is admirable and I wish I had it.
-
I tried to run between a bush and the end of a fence in Haddonfield, I could’ve sworn it had some space between them.
Also, running into walls in general.

Apperently according to a popular leaks site , Oni , Nurse , Yui and someone else are up next after this one , HYPE
I heard rumors of Claudette being in Tome VI.

That’s a cute ensemble.

I will say this - if I do 2 quick crouches, I'm thanking you. Survs know that, but I try not to do it to a killer unless I'm REALLY thankful because I don't want them to think I'm tbagging lol
Dumb question is there a way for survivors to show killers that they appreciate them without teabagging? If I do the two quick ducks, do you guys know that's a thank you?
This may sound odd but I rarely get dick killers. Sometimes obviously, as I'm in purple and green rank. But for the most part a lot of the times the killer is actually kind of nice to us. Or he doesn't dick around with us, he just straight up kills us. So thank you to the killer mains that aren't terrible. ♥️
I just spin around, lol
Some people also give the Killer their item as thanks.
-
Don’t hate Ghostface, but the ability he has which enables him to crouch, and hide during loops made him a toughie. To me at least, it was a little frustrating.
Recently, I bought Ghostface and started playing as him.
He’s a guilty pleasure now.

You do you.
