Of course it my issue. Blight is the second tier killer after nurse, I see what people can do. I opposed tons of Oni's, and had my share of Billies. It's just there's something I still don't know, but I can't do anything with them, the momen I use their powers, I give survivors room to breath and escape. Back in a days, all "adepts" I did by NEVER using their powers.
So I don't quite get your point. It's obviously my issue, but aint what this post is about?
P.S.
I was hag main for a year. Love that granny <3
Ohhh my bad, I thought we were debating objective and not subjective. In that case I retract my point :3
And idk how you can main Hag for a year, I can barely play her for a game T^T

Honestly, when talking about max skill ceiling, I believe the Blight is the hardest of all. He and Wesker are the only killers that actually require you to know the colisions of objects on each map to master them, but Wesker only uses that on a couple of techs while Blight needs to make choices based on that all the time. Blight also requires you to know how to position your bounces on each tile, get used to the turn rate, and some of his techs require at least moderately high dpi.
All of that is interesting...never really took into consideration any techs as I'm a console player (so I'm stuck with what I have). Personally I'd say from research Clown is the toughest after Arinad showed off how much there is to him with a 160 page guide on how to play him to his full potential.

Hardest are Billy, Blight and Oni. After 1600h I still cannot do anything (or just ignore their powers), literally anything, just either M1 or lose.
Second are Nox, Bubba and Nurse.
All others are very manageble. So it's extremely subjective.
I mean this in the least rude way possible, could this be a you issue? All three of those Killers have a lot they can carry over to the other, and as a Billy main I wouldn't put any of the three as toughest (albeit all three are tough) .
Like I struggle too much with Trapper and Hag, but in no world would I call them hardest to master, I just ain't that good to plan everything out like that... if that makes sense :p

Best: Jake, he's hot
Worst: Jill. All Jill's are bad at the gamem

I've never received a ban after getting that message, nor do I see this message often. Maybe once a month. Nothing abnormal today. Either you're dcing a lot and this just added to it, it's a problem on your end or you're a very unlucky person.
-
I have no clue if this is the right answer, but all of them have been shot at within their lore.
Nemesis should be obvious.
PH is a guess cause I've never played Silent Hill but a quick look at the wiki says the game contains guns.
Freddy during Nightmare on Elm Street 2.
Hillbilly in his archives.
-
I'd like to think that we get another soon. Either that or one of the current survivors gets new lore confirming their sexuality.
Once it isn't rushed and extremely stereotypical, I don't mind however.

Does this mean im cheating at doing the dishes?
You can't punish people for playing with their friends. If discord didn't exist, people would just playstation parties or Xbox parties
How dare you cheat while doing the dishes. You have been permanently banned from your kitchen and may not contact support about the issue.

I'm avoiding getting them. They seem worst than the normal cakes.
I'd say theyre quite good...I got a 92k bp game with them two days ago.

Iirc, you have to be on the gen when it finishes.
-
People are still comparing this perk to Dead Hard?
-
Its all confirmation bias.
Survivors will specifically remember the bad matches where the killer slugs for four minutes or tunnels everyone out.
Killers will remember the 4 BNP matches which go by in five minutes.
-
"Would make the game less toxic"
All the survivors dancing at the exit gates.
The Trapper dancing after he slugged all four of us with his Noed.
-
The fact that in the streams they do, they genuinely seem passionate, and the devs here on the forums seem like real people. Sometimes I feel like they receive too much hate.
-
I cant recall how much players used the BBQ offering, but I hit a 98k game earlier iirc.
I need to upload the screenshot tomorrow morning to make sure I ain't tripping.
Terrorismu is better but can be used whenever. Hence, Id use my BBQ offerings.

Yeah I really wish they’d get a bit more creative and break the mold. Many killers feel like the same abilities and mechanics with just a different color of paint splashed on but in the end all get played with and against the same as the rest.
We need new killer designs that actually change the way survivor play and make them think differently.
As much as I'd like it to happen, it's easier said than done.

Scott Jund made a video explaining how he thinks the Haste effect is fine, but the Endurance isn't. I recall Otz saying the perk is very strong, but not overpowered. Haste stacking is a problem, and the endurance while using MFT is a problem. Remove both, and the perk could be considered to be in a good spot balance-wise.
The endurance effect is much more problematic imo. I can't think of much times the haste status effect has screwed me over badly. Meanwhile, the endurance status effect feels game changing at times. A survivor is no longer trading a down, they're getting a free pick up. I notice they have MFT and I try go for the other survivor but usually that leads to bodyblocking.

im just saying last time survivors complained about a killer perk it was nerfed at the next big patch I believe (overcharge and call of brine.) but the devs are saying they dont see anything wrong with made for this and its been almost a whole chapter now with alot of people complaining about it. survivors have complained about tunneling, camping and 3 gens so theyre getting basekit gameplay changes yet when killers ask for a beginning game collapse to help with gens it gets discarded and called "boring" by the devs.
Definetly not Overcharge and Call of Brine. Call of Brine was released in March 2022 while Overcharge got buffed in July 2022, before both got nerfed in April 2023. That's 9 months of complaining where neither perk was nerfed.

Is it a stupid rule? Yes.
Is it in the rules? Also yes.
They broke a rule.

Or, Dark Theory is just a Trash Perk (it really is). And comparing it with Made for This only shows that the Devs were way too cautious with Perks back in the past. Because IF Dark Theory would actually be a strong effect, it would be used mroe often.
But well, currently Made for This is "The Thing" which makes Killers lose games. Not their own mistakes or anything, nono. And when Made for This is nerfed, there is another "The Thing" which is the reason why Killers lose games.
Made for This is worse than Sprint Burst and Lithe on the majority of Survivors which are commonly found in regular matches. There will be the odd case where Made for This is stronger on a Survivor because they are really good, but you wont encounter them on a regular basis. At least most Killers in this Forum, which clearly struggle with the game, dont encounter those players on a regular basis.
But again, Killers will just not stop complaining until the current "The Thing" is nerfed and they can complain about the next "The Thing". (Or just SWF, the ultimate Scapegoat)
But what else am I supposed to blame losing a chase while not trying a single mindgame on?
-
Back when I made a whole buff concept for Billy a month back, I reworked his add on to be something like this;
Big Buckle
• Any Survivors that are within 8 meters of you while a survivor is put into the dying state from a Chainsaw Dash has their aura revealed for 5 seconds.
Much better than his useless current Big Buckle. Both numbers could use with some slight tweaks possibly.

The best new portraits funnily enough IMO are Quentin and Freddy, they actually did a good job on that chapter. Freddy actually looks legit scary.
Nah Freddy's makes him look like he's appalled at someone for doing something stupid. His old one was so much better.

Xbox with it on.
I don't mind if once in a blue moon I encounter a cheater. Usually I look on the bright side of it and find it funny, especially that majority of the ones I've met have actually been funny.
Plus I like having quick queues.

To be a little more specific, do we have region specific servers? I'm nestled cozily in the United States and I just finished a trial where the Killer (per their steam) was from Africa.
It does have some servers, but its lacking in other areas such as Russia, South America and Africa.

While not any more, I really crutched on old Spinechill. Thank god it got nerfed and forced me to change.

It was one of the smallest maps in the game in terms of surface area. It's even smaller now.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3490223#Comment_3490223
Again, as someone who has played RPD (probably more than anyone in DbD's existence), the map itself is okay, but it's not the best it could be. Still a bit of god pallets and loops that are imbalanced, and overall doesn't feel like it's a good set of maps.
One map is way too small and the other is West Wing.
However it was an indoor map with two floors. Even if you knew you're away around it perfectly as killer it was too slow to navigate around.

Back in ye olde days, waving your arms meant the opposite: That the Killer was camping and that you shouldn't try to save.
That said, it was never really a consensus even when the community was much smaller, and I don't think we'll ever reach one with how big it is now. There will always be people who don't realize how most people use it. Fortunately the HUD now shows who's doing what and who's being chased, so you usually have a pretty good idea of whether or not someone is going for the save. Whether or not your random teammates will go for the save is a different story, though.
Judging off other games, I wouldn't rule it out. Rocket League has a lot of little rules people made up (Rule 0, Rule 1, Left Rule) which get carried out quite often in game despite having a large community. Who's to say the same won't happen here :)

While I've never played dbd on PC, the only issue I ever have with console is that sometimes the auto aim can screw me over, and I don't know if that's a console thing or general thing. Outside of that I've never had any issues. Hillbilly is fine despite many people claiming he's even harder on console than he is on PC. So is Blight. So is Nurse.
-
Blight is fun but somewhat tough, especially if you intend on mastering him. He's also easier on PC than he is on console if that helps with the decision.
-
Meme around with my teammates by taking them to the library in Lerys and pointing at random hooks.
Me and my mates are very easy to amuse :)
Note: I do not suggest DBD becomes library simulator
-
I'd presume the play testers have the most hours...no clue how much however.

I do it cause it looks funny and I'm easy to amuse.

Seeing as I don't play Nurse, I'll take your word for it.

Otz has said that this isn't meant to be a tier list, and is more based on cost and new players. He said new players are mostly the reason for the addons placement when I asked him
Are you sure this is the case about the "new players" part? There are some add ons that are rated higher on that list which are somewhat tough to gain value out of unless you're atleast decent at the game.
On top of this, the killers I'm experienced with he's got bang on, and I'm far from new to this game.

Yes, but at that moment the killers had other, less difficult to implement alternatives. It seemed to me that the community figured out this combo only 2-3 months before the nerf. (At least, I started to see it with YouTubers right then.)
I started to see it about a week or two after it came out...and it only grew in popularity with eruption joining them.
-
Based on a tier list made by Otzdarva which you can read below, it's a meh add on at best, matching what I thought of the Add On beforehand.

They literally can't do ptb on all platforms and basically no game made attempts to do that. There are different update processes games on pc vs games on console.
PTBs are handled via patching over the live game with saved server image captured a couple weeks before the actual PTB start date. On pc, steam specifically, to my understanding devs don't need to go through a lengthy update verification process to patch the game. On consoles, they need to have their patches checked and verified/certified this process also isn't free. For something that temporary it is prohibitively expensive and time consuming.
I can't think of a single game that offers PTB to console players even if they go the extra mile to maintain a dedicated testing server active all the time. Also it isn't as if the pc playerbase is monolithic in how they engage with the game whether it be controls, balance, etc. I personally don't play this game with controller, but I've seen folks who do even though they are on pc. The performance issues plaguing the game are often also felt by us on pc as well, but it often comes down to the either the game needing more optimization or the fact a lot of players are running aging hardware.
The only one I can think of is Minecraft has a ptb thing for Xbox players...however I'm aware that's different as Microsoft obviously own Minecraft.

give killers the ability to open gates (after some time has passed, even if there are more than 1 survivor), and survivors the ability to die on demand after being slugged/carried for some amount of time. boom, the problem is solved. i simply don't believe people genuinely think hatch is the only solution imaginable to fix such easy problems.
Nothings stopping the survivor from refusing to die however, forcing the killer to either open the gate or basically hatch stand off 2.0
-
Because I genuinely don't see the issue with the speed boost it gives when I play killer. I'd much rather they bring MFT with Dead Hard opposed to Sprint Burst or Lithe, or even Balanced Landing depending on the map.
I do however dislike the endurance part of the perk, which I feel like needs to be removed or have its numbers cut.
-
Hatch exists so the game isn't held hostage. It's needed for that reason alone.

Apparently the game isn´t as toxic as we believe. I saw a Twitter post last week, where the most toxic game communitys got listed. DbD wasn´t even on the list. Animal Crossing was on the list.
Regarding the private profiles. Its kinda a double edged sword. Yes, it totally protect content creators and is necessary. But it also protects people that play toxic on purpose without any repercussion. It got so bad, that i started dodging lobbies, when i see only the name of the char.
I blame Tom Nook...
