Well, actually the Ghostface announcement is supposed to be on May 28, then the PTB would be June 4, and it would release around mid June. That all adds up to me, so I'm not sure how they could release 2 killers in the same month.

It's not just in the title, he said it on stream in response to a question from chat, 2:13:38 into the stream of May 7th. That's not an official confirmation, but he was also right when he said there were changes to the endgame coming with mid chapter patch before ECG was announced.
As this stuff is released around the anniversary I'd be very surprised though if it'd just be killers getting a new character and perks, and survivors just another round of nerfs. For the anniversary, I hope they have something (positively) new for everyone.

We have no confirmed exclusive dress for Ghostface. These are leaks and speculation. Those outfits could very well just be purchasable.

We normally wouldn't have any leaks at all yet. The only reason we even got the killer leak is because they messed up. The "normal" time we would get map or survivor leaks hasn't even arrived yet because it's too far out. The leak only showed 1 perk for Ghostface so are we going to say he only comes with 1 perk? No, that would be stupid.

He said that "Chapter" could mean either one, which is NOT a confirmation that it will indeed be only one character. It is simply rectifying an incorrect interpretation that was being used for the word "Chapter".

That's true, they can. However that said, what's more likely, they end up continuing the same routine they have for 3 years or a completely brand new scenario that has never happened before? So yes I could be wrong, but logically based off their history my reasoning is the most likely.

They could do this, but they have never "replaced" Chapters for single survivors or killers. They have always been "extra" if you will, on top of the normal release schedule. It would be an entirely new action for them.

Which is reasonable. However I still think they'd value more immediate money flow as the most important factor which would be more Chapter releases. You could be quite right, just saying it isn't the most likely scenario.

I'd say based on all the evidence and history we have the most likely scenario is that we will be getting a new map and survivor. There literally isn't a single bit of evidence to point otherwise aside from we havn't seen any leaks yet. Seeing as we weren't even supposed to get the leaks we have got so far and given how far away the Chapter still is it's still extremely normal that we wouldn't have map or survivor leaks yet.
I think you should start looking in face at reality and understand that ghostface will be a dlc with only the killer, or you start to understand it or when it comes out you will be disappointed

Besides, DbD community itself wanted BHVR to slow down the chapters and focus on the game's health and that's what they are trying to do right now with dedicated servers, hitboxes etc.
It will be a good surprise if we get another survivor and a new map but imo it is highly unlikely.

you're wrong, there aren't three different licenses for cloak, mask and character, there are only two licenses:
- RJ TORBERT has the rights to the name "Ghostface" and its mask
- DIMENSION FILMS owns the rights to the entire Scream franchise, including its clothes, characters as Sidney and maps as Woodsboro High School.

I just noticed that the contents of Ash also called it "chapter", and also remembering that in the game's achievements, ash's achievements are called chapter12_survivor, it might actually be a paragraph like leatherface.. and it would also make sense if they only have rights on the mask, why make a chapter with survivor and original map and killer on license wouldn't make sense.. then ash would be the survivor of chapter 12 and ghostface the killer

you're wrong, lionsgate has produced the scream blue ray but to get a license of the character you still have to go to those who own the rights: Dimension Films.
They don't have the rights to the Scream franchise, which is why it doesn't have the original dress, so either it is a dlc based on the TV series or survivor and map will be original.

I know very well that those who hold the rights to the mask do not hold the rights to the Scream franchise and vice versa. that's why I came to the conclusion that they only made the agreement with RJ Torbert that Is owner of the rights to the mask, and not with Dimension Film that Is owner of Scream franchise rights. the problem is precisely what could be created when everyone understands it the dlc will be released with the original map and Survivor and the killer with only the mask on license.. would be a half-licensed chapter, it would be a tragedy.
this is why I hope instead that the license is at least from the TV series, because if it is indeed only the mask it will be the most contested chapter of all and probably also the least bought because the Ghostface fans will only buy the killer from the shop and not the complete chapter from the steam store
