So I have this dream about Susie becoming a playable survivor, because she is cute as #########.
I know this probably wont happen for certain, but it would be a fun addition to have the teenagers pre-legion be playable survivors - heck, they even have detailed faces underneath the masks so the art is done.
If we cant have that, then If we could have Susie's ''Fairview Hoodie'' for Meg I would be stoked :3
If I was playing The Legion as Susie, but there was a Susie survivor, and I kill them, would that be considered suicide?

I initially thought that people would hate it, but it's mainly just that many from the FNaF suggested the wrong type of character. I posted this on the official Dead by Daylight subreddit community, and people REALLY like it who aren't even fans of FNaF.
I think it seems like it would never be taken, or there would be an imbalance, but with FNaF taking a more mature path with its games (i.e. the establishment of a violent cult, a huge 2020 game in Unreal Engine 4, etc.) I think that people are starting to accept it more... even in this community.
I think that people were scared that it wouldn't be executed well, but when they see something like this, how it SHOULD be, they really like it!
Hey! That's me! Well, the second one is.
Once again, nice work!

So much fnaf hate here. The game isnt even that bad, characters are pretty unique and give off an unsettling vibe. I think if done well, a fnaf chapter could potentially be a great asset to the game!
Honestly, a FNaF chapter would slap. I enjoy debating with people about the likes of a FNaF chapter. If it were going to happen though, they should atleast wait until the movie in (assuming) 2021.
I've made my points here, so I don't really feel the need to rehash them again.
Anyway, my least wanted are Pennywise, Jeepers Creepers, and Alien

Your good bro what you said was the total truth but honestly I think a fnaf chapter would work because your right there are a lot of people that tend to be toxic to others who don't play the game but I'm not one of those people I play it and if the other person hasn't played it I mentioned they try it and if they say no I gladly say ok and walk away I mean we talk about other things but I say why not to the dbd community page would they think a fnaf chapter wouldn't work because technically the animatronics don't just kill children they kill adults as well a.k.a the security guards and many others like in the joy of creation I just honestly think why the hate. But you don't seem to hate and I'm glad I'm talking to someone who has at least more sanity in the whole dbd community thanks NightmareReborn
Hey, thanks!
I agree with everything you said. It's honestly very annoying when someone says something that's invalid or incorrect, and then when you try to reply with a valid counterargument, they shut you down. I'm not saying this applies to everyone who dislikes a FNaF chapter. Some people just prefer somethings over others and that's okay. Nevertheless, its something that's all too common.

Let's not mention burnt areas but shouldn't the map be like the one in fnaf 3 because think of this if springtrap was on fnaf 3 I think the map personally should be the rebuilt freddy fazbears pizzeria in fnaf 3 and then his abilities can be vanish, soul reap and soul spend
Vanish: teleport 5 feet away from a survivor
Soul reap: stun survivor for 10 seconds and deal 15 hp damage
Note: close range attack
Soul speed: stun all survivors within 15 feet for 15 seconds and deal 10 hp damage for 10 seconds
That's just a idea if you want to go with yours I'm cool with that to
I mentioned (idk if it was here or not) that you could theoretically use the FNaF 1 or FNaF 3 location, as they are both important in Springtrap's character arc.

There shouldn't be a map. Even with outside foliage, it'd be stupid, no one would like it (unless it was extremely one sided) and it should only be a killer. The game doesn't deserve a big dlc portion in dbd. It's lucky if it'll even get noticed by devs.
Well if "no one would like it" is the best arguement there is for why there shouldn't be a map, then I'm not buying it. That's purely subjective. There is definitely potential to merge the different games' themes into something great.
And it already got noticed by the devs. Sarah (UI Designer) has gone on record and said that she would want FNaF to be added. Furthermore, many FNaF related concepts have been "read by BHVR". It's not an issue of popularity.

If it did come out, it should only be a killer. No map, no survivor. Alongside it should be a killer and map rework.
A FnaF map and survivor are just tedious to design and just don't fit.
And I'm sure a game about murder some people already complain about don't need a Chuck-e-cheese lookalike in game..
I feel like (although this is unusual) the chapter should have a killer and map, but no survivor.
This was my idea for the map (copy and pasted from another post):
"I had my own idea for the map. It was the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, that would be extremely withered (Big chunks of the concrete wall missing, torn wall paper, chairs and tables flipped and scattered around, you get the idea). The animatronics would still be on stage, but withered down and broken.
Outside the location would be playable as well, with foliage and trees surrounding the building, and houses along the map's perimeter.
There would always be a generator in the backroom of the building (like the bathroom gen on "The Game"). Every time that generator is completed, spotlights would turn on and start waving at the buildings entrance. Furthermore, the power in the building would turn on, lighting up the dining area and stage lights, with an animatronic performance from the original 3 (although it would be very jittery due to their condition)."

Hey dude actually the fantoms were the one that killed William afton. He put on a spring bonnie suit and what the ghosts did was supposedly spring locked his body killing him unexpectedly here's a video to show you how he died
What you mentioned technically killed Afton, but when I mentioned that he "died" at the end of FNaF 6, I meant it was when his spirit was released.
So yes, the children's spirits did kill him, but it was ultimately the fire that bannished his spirit for good. I left a lot of details out for the purpose of keeping things short, but I probably should have mentioned this in more detail.
-
I always thought the idea had potential, and as the hate dies down, people are finally comfortable talking about it now. If you tried to post something FNaF related on r/deadbydaylight a year ago, you probably would have an angry mob at your house, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Killer: Springtrap from Five Nights at Freddy's 3
Survivor: Clementine from Telltale's The Walking Dead Game
-
I remember my first time playing FNaF was when I was in fifth grade, over five years ago. Since then, I've stuck with the series, despite never really playing the games. To be completely honest, the gameplay of FNaF does get stale quickly, and I think that's why many people completely diss the idea of a FNaF chapter in DbD. However, if it wasn't for FNaF, I probably wouldn't enjoy horror at all, and I certainly wouldn't be playing or ever have played DbD.
That being said, I will essentially always defend the idea of a FNaF chapter, regardless of how many people do/don't want it. It's no secret that the DbD community has VERY mixed opinions over a FNaF chapter, and that's perfectly okay. In this thread, you've probably already witnessed what I'm talking about. Instead of saying why a FNaF chapter isn't that bad of an idea, I'm going to try my best to disprove many of the common criticisms (from this thread) of a FNaF chapter, and then provide a general/vague concept for how an ideal FNaF chapter could work. If I leave out someone's post, it's either already been covered, will be covered, or genuinely true criticism (I guess all criticism is valid to an extent).
NOTE: No hate goes out to anyone I criticize here.
"Its very hard to add a killer whos entire shtick is not moving when being looked at"
There's more to them than just that. If you were to try to develop a FNaF chapter solely on FNaF's gameplay, then it would almost be a guaranteed flop. There's not much to take from there. The lore would most likely be better to draw a power from. As for what the power could be, it depends who you want to use.
The most requested killer by the FNaF community has been William Afton/Springtrap, who defies the "not moving when being looked at" shtick, so that's who I'm going to use when talking specifics (Powers, perks, etc). For Springtrap, he could use the Phantom animatronics seen in FNaF 3, or he could have more of a supernatural power, like one based off children's souls, or even his own soul! There's been plenty of concepts thrown around, so I won't go too deep here. There's definitely more than what meets the eye when it comes to FNaF, and I've seen it forgotten all too much.
"So I’m guessing you guys want a Fortnite chapter?"
This isn't criticism as all, but please, please, please, don't say stuff like that. Many Dead by Daylight fans completely and unjustly berate FNaF's supposedly child-like and toxic audience, but when people say stuff like this, it just antagonizes themselves. FNaF's community has its bad apples, but its no secret DbD's does too. It's perfectly okay to have opinions and share them in a respectful manner, but when stuff like this gets thrown around, it becomes apparent why many outsiders consider DbD's fanbase toxic.
"They don't really fit in the game and i'm pretty sure it also wouldn't make sense lorewise.
The animatronics don't really have any reason to go after survivors and the entity can't really torture robots into complying"
Well actually, you're right. If you were to add Freddy, this would all be completely valid. However, its why many people suggest Springtrap over Freddy, myself included. In the games, Springtrap is a child murderer who murdered dozens of children in the Fazbear Restaurants. As far as I know, he died at the end of FNaF 6/ Pizzeria Simulator and then suffered in purgatory. This belief may have changed since I heard it last (feel free to correct me if so). In a way, it could make sense lore-wise. Just have the Entity take after purgatory and plop him in the DbD realm.
When it comes to motives, Springtrap would comply willingly simply because he enjoys killing.
"the two games are way too different"
I will admit, FNaF and DbD have drastically different gameplay styles, but that's why many people tend to flee to the lore when making the power for a FNaF killer. It may not seem like it, but FNaF and DbD aren't too different in terms of atmosphere. DbD commonly features locations that are gritty, withered, and abandoned, and FNaF does as well to an extent (the book series definitely does). I'm not saying the atmosphere's are exactly the same, but they're similar enough to where it wouldn't be like night and day. Plus, should a FNaF chapter be added, I think the map would be one of the coolest parts. Also L4D is a zombie shooter, and we got Bill, so I doubt gameplay differences would be an issue anyway.
"The problem is the weapon"
I've seen many suggestions for a weapon, such as a meat cleaver, crowbar, fire axe, his hand, and more. I don't think it could be too difficult.
There were many other things that I could have included, but a lot of them seemed too opinionated to be considered criticism, and that's okay.
Now, how could we make a FNaF chapter that satisfies the most amount of people? This is my idea, albeit a rough draft:
The chapter would be a paragraph, but would include a map as well.
The killer would be Springtrap, as Freddy and the rest of animatronics wouldn't fit the game's theme as well Springtrap would. His weapon would be a kitchen knife. His power would allow for significant map pressure. His power could possibly have him use the children's souls he trapped. Or, he could use the Phantom animatronics that would apply random status effects to people near them. Perhaps he could become a ghost himself! His perks would definitely be aimed at hindering progression. Generators, in a way, are like FNaF's power system, so that could be handy when designing his perks or abilities. Springtrap's persistence is also something that defines him. This could translate nicely into an obsession perk that could affect both the killer during a chase.
The map would have to be Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, but it would be heavily altered from its main appearance in the first game. First of all, it would be very withered down. Big chunks of the concrete walls missing, wall paper missing, tables flipped/ on their side, dusty, you get the idea. Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica would all still be on stage, although deactivated and slightly withered, with holes in their suit and wires dangling, as well as some other missing parts.
Obviously the pizzeria itself would be too small, so the outside area could be included as well. It would mostly be trees and other foliage, with some small houses and the shack along the outer perimeter.
A generator would always appear in the locations backroom (like the bathroom gen on "The Game"). Should this generator be repaired, the stage lights would turn on and the power would be restored to the main dining area. The animatronics would also turn on and give a stage performance that would last about ~2 mins. This stage performance would be loud, and its initiation would trigger light beams to shine in the sky from the location's entrance (they would turn off after the performance ended), and short sound cue of rock music to be heard across the entire map (like the boat horn on the swamp).
I understand that a FNaF chapter is a very controversial topic, and it's probably not likely that we'll get one (atleast until the movie, and even then its a stretch), but I can always hope. My theory is that Scott Cawthon has already approached BHVR, but BHVR has already turned him down due to it being such a controversial topic within the DbD community. Hopefully, I could shed some light on the topic or possibly even convince you! If not, I get it. Everyone has their own opinions, and it's okay to share them as long as we respect them.
-
The devs have already confirmed one of the characters to not be heterosexual.
Also, this sort of seems like forced diversity, and creating perks around it would be... unnecessary and probably pretty difficult.
I'm not homophobic in anyway, but when it comes to characters' sexuality, just don't mention it (life BHVR has done in the past).
-
If we can't get a FNaF killer in the game, that's perfectly understandable. However, I ATLEAST think that FNaF deserves a map, even if its without a killer or survivor.
-
I'll still always defend this idea, even when nobody else does. There is definitely a lot of valid criticism when it comes to FNaF and its community, but the majority of it seems quite outdated or invalid.

It looks like a lot of effort was put into this, and might I say, I'm impressed.
Speed: This is mostly pretty good, but I'd change the base movement speed to at least 3.8 m/s, as that could give him better map pressure without crutching on his ability too much.
Ability: To be honest, it sort of just seems like Freddy's dream teleport with extra steps. The generator regression is a cool idea though. Although, the movement idea feels a little gimmicky. After he teleports, he's stunned for 2 seconds, which I can get. However, then after that, he gets oddly fast movement speed for a very brief period before regressing to 4.6 m/s, normal killer speed. Even if he maintains 4.6 m/s in chases, that's just normal killer movement speed, and at that point, he just becomes an M1 killer. He'd be outrun by survivors if he were to just chase them naturally. Even the Nurse would outrun him. In general, I feel like his slow base movement speed is not enough to justify the mediocre and gimmicky power. I do have a question though: how long does it take to teleport to a gen?
Killer Perks
- I actually don't think this is a bad idea, but I feel like its slightly too similar to sloppy butcher, as the mangled status effect is the selling point for both perks. I'd personally suggest replacing the mangled status effect to the effect that the clown's gas gives you (not the hindered part, but just the visual and auditory disruptions) for 10-20 seconds, and then keep the skill check disruptions until the person is healed (as you said). It would still convey the purpose that you wanted the perk to have.
- I like it! Keep it as is.
- I like it, except I think you should add a set amount of time that the survivors have to be in the killers terror radius in order for the perk to activate. Otherwise, killers would just nip you for 1/2 a second with the edge of their terror radius and it would still apply the full effect, which would be quite frustrating.
Addons:
Some stuff here is unclear how good it would be. For example, the addons that speed up your teleport could be either good or bad, but how long does it take to teleport? I would also recommend increasing the base movement speed to 3.8 or 4 m/s (no addons), and have the addons ramp up to a lesser extent. This way, he is not as dependent on addons in order to win chases. Other than that, I would say the addons are good and fit him correctly.
Survivor Perks
- I like the concept, but personally, I'd buff the values slightly to 6/7/8 percent faster movement speed and 8/9/10 percent longer bleedout timer
- Uhh... what's the vision effect? Is it like aura reading? Concept sounds cool tho.
- This is almost exactly like Spine Chill, I'd recommend probably changing this one.
Final Suggestions:
I would say overall it's alright. I like the concept, but there's certainly more room for originality and improvement. I would suggest letting him get a movement speed increase to 3.8 or 4 m/s naturally, and an upgrade to 4.2 m/s when getting into a chase, regardless of using his power. Otherwise, he would be outrun by survivors running in a straight line, and only be on-par with a normal killer AFTER using his ability.
Also, (as you mentioned) this chapter was heavily inspired by FNaF, but with so many similarities (Animatronic animal, similar appearances, ability called "jumpscare", addons referring a kids pizza parlor, security guard survivor, etc), why not just... do it? I mean, Scott isn't picky with his rights whatsoever, I feel like you might as well go the extra mile.
Overall, nice job!🐷

Although, at this point, why not just add a FNaF killer?

I'm saying the looks.. no one would ever take going against a cartoony looking furry seriously. It would be a bad image for the game. Not only that but your argument makes no sense, the reason they acted cartoony is because they were self conscious about what they were doing, and the characters would still be taken seriously even with the jokes at times. Apparently you don't watch much of the movies it seems.
Springtrap (the most requested FNaF killer) would definitely need a sort of graphical update when/if he's introduced to DbD. Something like this:

Well, apart from the stigma surrounding FnaF, Springtrap brings his own design challenges.
What would his power be? How would you create a power that both fits the themes of FnaF, and fits into the gameplay of DbD?
The animatronics' methods of killing tend to be too straightforward to provide interesting gameplay. Usually they just sneak up on you, sometimes crawling through the vents, then either forcefully stuff you into an animatronic suit (Which doesn't sound like it would be fundamentally different from hooking survivors), or kill you offscreen somehow. Maybe they strangle/crush you with their bare hands or bite your head off? Either way, what would differentiate them from killers like Myers or Ghostface?
What would his animations look like? The animatronics have never had any 3D walking animations, much less all the animations you'd need for a full-fledged DBD killer. The FnaF games leave a lot to the imagination. It'd be difficult to create a killer that captures the same emotions one feels when playing a FnaF game when they're a fully visible and mobile creature, instead of a killer that briefly appears on a camera, or in a dark corner of your vision, before vanishing in the blink of an eye, then pouncing right in your face.
I feel like Springtrap should have a sort of "character redesign" when entering the entity's realm. I'd suggest changing from a "traditional evil villain" design he sometimes has in FNaF, and change it to either a
- An intelligent, savage, half-human, half-robotic, murderer that would rely on his supernatural gimmicks and outsmarting his opponents in order to gain the upper hand. This would stay faithful to his lore.
- Possibly something closer to the Demogorgon? This one rely on him being more feral, and would have him share, human, robotic, as well as animal-like characteristics. For comparison, think of Bowser from his transition from Super Mario to Super Smash Bros. It would involve a greater use of his robotic brutal strength to get the upper hand. This would deviate from his lore a little more, but would open up many new gameplay options.
as well as a graphical update to make him look more detailed, grimy, and withered.
I'm not the greatest when it comes to creating killer powers, but I was thinking he'd be a killer that would be partly stealth based, but I feel like he should also be allowed to have significant map pressure in some way. His power would probably benefit from drawing from his story rather than FNaF's gameplay mechanics. It should have some sort of supernatural aesthetic to it. I feel like using abnormal robotic characteristics, trapped spirits, phantom animatronics, or possibly being an apparition himself could all work as foundations for possible abilities.
I would suggest a unique mechanic where he could possibly start the game with a low terror radius, steal electricity from generators in order to charge a main ability that would boost his map pressure significantly (possibly phantom animatronics?). Idk I made that up in just a few seconds, but it could possibly be developed into a better power. I also saw an idea on Reddit that the hooks would be replaced with animatronic suits, that would function the exact same as hooks, with the exception of some minor gimmicks. That could work as some sort of passive ability.
As for his animations, Springtrap is a humanoid, so they could borrow assets from other killers for certain animations. The only unique thing that would HAVE to be added are jiggle bones/physics to his ears and other parts that droop. Of course, they could go the extra mile if they wanted to, and make some animations robotic while making others look human-like. Then there's obviously the new animations that come with every killer with its ability.
I feel like there's a lot of different angles you could portray this character within DBD, it just comes down to what's best for the character as well as what's best for DbD.

I think Slender could work if they based it more off the arrival game, have the player play as the chaser/proxy while Slender is a computer controlled entity moving around the map that harrasses survivors who look at him.
That said, I think the worst possible killers would be anything from FNAF, 95% because of the people that come with it, 5% because an entire franchise based on "It just fill your screen and REEEEEEs" isn't horror.
Close runner up to creepypastas and SCPs. I know this is contradictory cos of Slender, but that's really grown as an actual franchise more than any of the other... things.
I'm obviously going to be biased, and hated for defending FNaF here, but I feel like people give it a lot less credit than it deserves sometimes.
I, as someone who's liked the games since day one, think that FNaF has become greatly oversaturated with all sorts of different games. It was originally only supposed to be FNaF 1, 2, and 3, but after 3 was received poorly, he made 4, and after that was received poorly... it sort of just spiraled out of control from there.
That being said, there's still a reason it's still alive today. FNaF has an extremely creative community, constantly producing many neat and original fan games that aren't that bad. The reason why people associate FNaF with a younger audience is because... well, that's what it is. FNaF has a T rating compared to DbD's M rating, so it only makes sense that it would attract a younger audience. Regardless of the community, the lore of the series goes pretty in depth, and I think that's where people begin to merge it with the idea of a FNaF character coming to DbD. It's why when someone brings up the idea, Springtrap (the main killer of the franchise) is mostly always the wanted killer, and NOT Freddy.
Here's the lore of the character. Obviously, I'm not going to make you read it if you don't want to (just skip the next paragraph then), but it sort of provides the argument for why many people think he should be included in DbD.
In a summary, Springtrap was an employee of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza that lured dozens of children into a backroom, trapping them and killing them. The trapped spirits of the children eventually are accidentally freed, corner him into a lethal animatronic suit, which killis him, but his spirit lived on. After several decades, the decaying suit (with his corpse inside) is brought over to a tourist attraction, which later burns down. He survives the fire, and manages to arrive at an unknown establishment, where he is lured inside alongside the last remaining trapped spirits. That place turns out to be a trap built by his former coworker, and the place is lit on fire, killing and releasing the spirits of everyone inside. Springtrap is then sent into an eternal purgatory, where he suffers against all of the abominations he made for all of eternity.
It's why I personally feel cheated everytime someone just says "FNaF is cringey jumpscare material! Of course it shouldn't be included as a killer" and call it a day. There is more to it than what meets the eye. However, if you were to read through the full lore, many arguements, and many concepts, and THEN decide that FNaF wouldn't be a good addition, that's perfectly fine. I personally think that Springtrap would be a pretty cool addition, but I understand that's not a popular opinion. I also understand that this game is sort of taboo when it comes to DbD, but I highly encourage people to give it a fair chance before deciding on a final verdict.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

For me, Pennywise.
I just don't think that we need 2 clowns in the game, even if one is a pop culture icon, and the other is Pennywise.

Also Jeepers Creepers.

I think the only way a FNaF chapter could work is if they do a character redesign. Sort of like Bowser from Super Mario games to Smash Bros (they act and seem completely different).
Personally, I think that Springtrap would be the best canidate for a FNaF killer if they were to add one. The others would still be cool, but would stick out like a sore thumb.
I know many people are against the idea, but the potential to make a great killer is there.
EDIT: For those saying that FNaF is jumpscare reliant, there's alot more to the series than what meets the eye.

I was told it was a good idea to tag you to get this into a professionals hands (I was also told that there would be a chance of you getting slightly pissed off but I'm willing to take that risk)
Alot of fans would appreciate seeing clementine in this game :)

Haha, I was saying they'd get pissed at me because I've suggested this idea so many times, they'd probably get tired of hearing it from me.

There was a post on reddit with a detailed Clem concept just a few hours ago and it got 1.1K upvotes (including mine). I'd love to see Clem in dbd one day!
I would personally tag the devs, but they'd probably get pissed (considering I've tagged them so many times for this exact reason), but if you want someone at BHVR to look at this, then just tag them.

I thought it was gold. Idk what ur talking about.

All maps are available to all players. Buying the DLCs just gets you the killer and survivor.

Why the necro my guy?

Although LF is underpowered, I don't think he needs a rework; just a buff. I picked Legion because... well... do I really need to say why?

I really like the option to down vote.
I only disliked the downvote because normally I had no clue why people used it. If you don't like something I said, I want to know why!
But it argueable did more good than harm, so yeah I miss it.

Chucky, obviously(original Chucky). His maniacal laughter must be included though. Then again, Chucky is technically human. Just trapped in a doll.
It completely flew over my head that he isn't human! I'd love to see Chucky in the game one day (that is if he can reach the hooks...).

I forgot the name of it, but I'd like to see the alien from the game "Alien Isolation" come to Dead by Daylight.
The Xenomorph? Tbh, I'd pay a good price for a Xenomorph killer.
