He isn’t wrong. You are punishing the person by making them trade. No killer has a problem with the survivors trading unless they massively screw up and hit the survivor on the hook my mistake, or they really wanted a toxic survivor out.
With the new patch coming out, endurance is going to be expected a lot, I know OTR gets deactivate when you unhook but in situations where you want the survivor to hit second stage or almost sacrifice, you don't want a survivor being able to unhook without getting punished borrowed time also being base kit, meaning it's another long chase again when you could have just grabbed the survivor and the one on the hook dies Most times you need that one survivor on the hook to die in order to stand a chance especially when you play weak killers

You can grab them. That’s stopping them instantly.
I know, but this entitled kid thinks that I should have to hit the survivors twice instead of grabbing them. I can tell he is definitely a big fan of the new OTR

Ohh nice, instead of stopping a survivor instantly, I should have to hit him twice in order and even after that he still manages to unhook the survivor. Well said 👏

Do you think running Pentimento without Plaything worth it? I don't own Pinhead but I'm considering to get him just for Plaything...
I'm afraid Survivors don't touch totems if they don't need to. I mean, I don't cleanse dull totems myself... And Shattered Hope could be an option but only if the Survivors bring a Boon...
Pentimento + Thana is gonna be a nasty combo... if they cleanse.
trust me, you'd be surprised with the amount of people who do totems instead of doing gens for no reason. Those are the survivors I go against at least. But you might be right too, If I don't bring Pentimento, It will either be replaced with the other perks I mentioned, like overcharge or Call Of Brine. or Eruption
-

With the basekit gen time and buffed thana as well as pentimento being a thing, it'll be fun to see plague and legion that make sure your injured the whole time via the broken addon for legion and plague just puking on everyone. This is also assuming the killer doesn't kick gens with like new overcharge or call of brine. It might not be so bad but it doesn't sound good on paper. Anyone else excited?
You can bet your sweet ass that I'mma be running legion with thana, pentimento, gift of Pain and overcharge or call of brine or Eruption

Two matches in a row... somehow I was the first Survivor to get tunneled while getting unhooked in the Killer's face repeatedly. Before anyone says it, I'm not annoyed by the fact that the Survivor's might have been very new to DBD. My issue is that not only do you lose all of your items, but DCing two matches in a row also stacks in terms of time penalties. Why exactly would I stay in a match where I basically died in the first 2-3 minutes and haven't even done anything?
The only thing I hate about the dc penalty is when I'm playing killer and out of nowhere, the game kicks me out of the game and says no connection when clearly my connection is fine, and when I load back to the killer lobby, 5 mins dc penalty... Like bro... You shitting on my dick?

Yeah clearly a surv main sure. Not at all biased sure.
Bro, DH has a 40 sec cooldown lmao. As long as the totem is not cleansed u can use it many times over with no cooldown. they are exactly equivalents, both existed to give second chances. U did poorly during the chase? good heres a pallet. U suck at killer? Good here a free kill.
My god man, develop some game sense plz. I really hoped u were a troll. Honestly, it would be less embarrassing
How are people ever gonna improve if they always rely on noed? That perk needs to be removed/reworked so that you actually worked for the kill like no way out. I don't even use noed because there are so many better perks out there that's can slow down gens and stuff, especially with the new update, Thanatophobia, gift of pain, pentimento and deadlock. We all are gonna have a hell of a time🤣

Imagine the thought of Bubba getting buffed which is going to happen in the next patch.. With much longer gens, a facecamping Bubba will be an even stronger strat. A strat that is uncounterable.
As insanely weak as survivors are now, his 1-shot ability needs to be nerfed so it only removes one health state. It is not needed in the game now, especially around a hook.
Erm.... Only remove one health state?
Nah we're good. Thanks tho.
I would be okay with that but give him 10 charges to his chainsaw and a built in vegetable oil and beast scratchings

I run a facecamping bubba stream on twitch because this game is not fun for the killer - it's way too stressful. Chasing survivors is the fun part - but watching them just W away to freedom or the next godloop gets old real fast.
The worst part is that the maps are so unablanced that survivors think they are untouchable and tbag on the exit gate etc. So toxic.
I want to watch please, what's the name of your twitch channel?

Ahh yes, standing infront of the hook and patrolling near the hook has such a huge difference. He does both man... Even Otz camps, not saying camping is wrong but he does it because that is the state this game is in if you want to win

Slugged us all repeatedly, refused to hook, and unfortunately I was the last to die. At end game chat I said, "You gotta tell me why?" and he says "fun".
So yeah I'm def in the boat of wanting less of these sorts of Bubba games. Camping being a bigger problem* obviously.
But you could go against any killer who slugs, slugging blight/nurse if probably more scary than bubba

The best solution I could think up is that if Bubba spends too long in the same tile as a hooked survivor while not in a chase (15 seconds?), his chainsaw gets disabled until he leaves the tile or once he's been in a chase for 5 seconds (so it doesn't immediately turn back on in time to rev on any unhooker that comes by while he's camping.) And then it would need some other clause like if the saw was disabled due to inactivity, and Bubba only moved one tile over, re-entering the first tile without being in a chase would immediately disable the saw again, so he can't tile hop to avoid the penalty the same way corner crouchers dodge crows.
So he could still proxy with the saw, and he can chainsaw someone dumb enough to try and unhook while he's chasing them back to the hook/before he has a chance to leave, but if he facecamps, he can only M1.
OK but if we are doing that can we give him 10 charges? And give legion a shotgun

no slowdown, no chase potential. Even with bamboozle. His shortcomings are waaaaay more accentuated than his strengths.
thats the primary reason why bubba mains face camp. I mean, u have to face camp for a false sense of skill. If he were any good he would be alongside the top dogs 👀
Hmm, you clearly have not gone up against beast scratchings, award winning chilli Bubba before. If you are trying to sya he ain't worthwhile, then maybe the devs should buff him some more. He will probably be much more worthwhile with the new patch

No matter what changes they make to Bubba, you guys should know that Killers will find the ‘best’ way to find the right Killer/Build/Playstyle to create the best experience for Killer and the worst for Survivor.

That too. I forgot about DS getting nuked. Back in the days you could try (stress on the word try) go for a yolo unhook against Bubba and hope to break the cycle of hook trading via DS.
That was already gutted when DS was made to deactivate on just tapping the unhook (not even completing it). Which means you can't even try to bait a grab unhook and then DS into the actual unhook. Still it was a low percentage play. But at least it was a glimpse of hope.
Now DS is going to be obliterated in endgame. Even more useless.
Ahh no worries, I'm sure the survivors mains are gonna abuse the crap out of OTR

I mean, we might as well ask the devs. Let's pick their brains on this one @Almo @Peanits
Personally, I don't understand why certain killers have intentional limitations for camping (Artist, Dredge, etc.) but the King Facecamper himself is good to go.
What it's certain is that it definitely won't change (at least not for better) next patch, with the extra gen time. You get a glowy aura of the noed totem, though, that you won't have time to cleanse through a facecamp anyway. Deadlock is untouched, but even if it was longer gens would offset that. Mini bt is irrelevant, Bubba can already double smack through normal bt and that's assuming he royally messes up and allows the unhook.
I saw one suggestion saying that his saw should stop the dash when hitting someone with endurance. But that doesn't change the fact that the unhook is impossible (yeah, the tantrum meter mechanic is DOA, it never worked against his camping, as even minimal testing would have immediately revealed).
I reckon if the devs removed his ability to camp, nobody would play him as much
-

I am sick of it. Practically every Bubba I get does it. I had two tonight do the insidious face camping thing. At five gens.
I legitimately cannot remember the last time I faced a Bubba who played normally instead spending most of the match staring at a hook.

Huntress - All Azarov maps (okay, maybe except Azarov's resting place, because of it's dumb(ell) shape) and I don't really mind Haddonfield on her.
Pinhead - Indoor maps again, survivors tend to panic a lot if they don't have much line of sight.
Hillbilly - All Billy enjoyers always look weird at me for that, but my all time favorite map for him is Lery's...
Freddy - Coal Tower, Dead Dawg Saloon, Midwich...
Wraith - Yamaoka is my jam on him, I could play on it 24/7 as Wraith

@dugman said:
I think I do pretty well on Midwich generally speaking. The layout is straightforward, a lot of the pallets are gameable, and I actually like that the breakable walls on that map are worth breaking but not mandatory if you feel like skipping them.
Surprisingly I also seem to do ok on The Game despite all the complaints about how many pallets that map has. I think it’s because once you know the layout of that map it’s pretty easy to patrol quickly, you can get between levels a few different ways and neither floor is all that big so you can get to the gens pretty quickly. And while there’s a lot of pallets there are very few other vault locations to worry about, and if you play for the longer game by slugging and breaking pallets then as all those pallets get broken the map becomes just patches of dead zones. I kind of think I’d rather be on that map that the ones that have a strong middle building that survivors just run to over and over.
In terms of outdoor maps, I guess I like the ones that don’t have a super strong building in them like maybe Suffocation Pit or Gas Heaven. You can still have random ruins in awkwardly strong layouts on those but overall it’s not usually that bad. Screw corn though! 🌽 🌽 👿 🔪 🌽 🌽
Okay but what killer do you like to play in those maps that you mentioned?
-
Ghostface, because I like his steal mechanic and combining him with STBFL is so good. He can even get those gen grabs and an instant exposure hit is always nice.
Pyramid Head because his power just annihilates Decisive strike and survivors get punished so hard for stepping in torment, he can counter loops and has a built in Mori. Very nice👌🏻
Sadako because she's best girl

tell me what you think in the comments.
No joke, maybe not revert the ads time but maybe buff him and make his gun into a grappling hook, so here me out, same function as it is now but now he can shoot walls of buildings and launch himself to it to apply more map pressure and gen oressure

I'm not saying he is strong or weak I don't even care about it. I just don't want to play a match that takes forever. If survivors aren't doing good and killer(legion) is winning it takes forever no matter what. You just keep playing until there are no pallets left in the game. Legion doesn't even chase you properly due to his power design.
Let's think about other killers. Do other killers winning makes matches take so much time or does it make it faster? When a nurse is really good. She can even end game in 5 minutes. Lets pick a weaker killer. When a trapper manages to use his traps efficiently does the game slows or makes it faster? It is simple as it is. When you use your power the game should end more easily what legion does is keeping survivor in game that's all. When a match takes a long time it normally means things are going competitive like it is even. So, why the hell İs legions power has to make it look like he is struggling even though he is easily winning? I think it is just waste of time for all other players. I think that legion's ability itself should change considering the fun part.
As a solo survivor normally being punished by other teammates faults annoys me and now that game is takes so much more time playing against legion it becomes a nightmare.
Legion is so much better than he was before, back the mending was forever if he had the knife add ons that increase mending, be grateful for what wehave now. He's a strong killer too, if you don't want the game to last long when playing a game against him, then just let him kill you.

So I decided to try bubba today without face camping so i had to actually use my brain and think of a build. I checked his addons and his purple award winning chili increases his chainsaw sweep duration by 0.5 seconds, I then checked the iridescent add on carburetor tuning guide and it does the same thing however it uses all charges upon triggering the sweep as well as decreasing the movement speed of the sweep by 2%. So why would I use the iri add on over the purple add on? The purple add on is the same thing with no draw backs. Was this just overlooked?
The iri add on that make all charges used in one go is bugged, don't use it. Just use the purple chilli and beast scratchings for an ez 4k

Part of my reasoning for it, like sure people would probably block Nurse or Blight, but there's some people who might block Plague, Clown, or Doc because all three of them definitely make some people sick. And playing Plague games, I feel kind of bad when someone just gives up because the vomiting makes them feel ill or they are solo queuing going for their healing challenges. I'd rather, and I'm sure they'd also rather not be in that game at all given the choice.
I like what you did there. Plagues makes people sick, clown is sick cause of his cough and doctor cures sick people XD

I remember when the perk's info first came out, Me and quite a lot of people thought it was gonna be OP but in reality, it really never comes into play. Reason being is the don't vault the pallet again or cause by the time they vault the pallet, the perks timer is already up. So maybe if behaviour wanted to buff it, they could either increase the timer, hide the notification, make it to where it break pallets that are pulled down instead or make it activate on injured survivors but has a huge cool down.

*WARNING THIS A RANT*
Why tf would I put myself through playing a character like Sadako (even tho she is literally my favorite in terms of looks, her animations are the best in the game and her character design) when if a survivor gets to a pallet when im playing as sadako, I just lose. There's nothing I can do. No anti loop, nothing in chase, just stand there and run in a circle til you get eventually pallet stunned and then have to waste all that time breaking a pallet where they will then just force me into ANOTHER loop seeing as they have all the time in the world to get to another pallet, because the maps haven't improved at all in the six years the game's been out.. Basekit tiny number changes aren't changing the fact she is god awful.
Like PLEASE man, with how many cosmetics and how frequent DLC's come out, there's no WAY this game company is struggling this bad. How can we not just release more FREQUENT balance updates to buff the garbage killers. Stop locking them behind mid chapter updates, and just update the game as it goes along. You wait too long and that's how you get the same garbage dominating the game for YEARS. The small number basekit changes are cool but nothing changes, that 2.34 sec pallet break is still enough time for them to get to another loop, that ENTIRE interaction hasn't changed. So the problem still lies there. Some killers don't even benefit from it, because they are just that bad. Hell the only 2 killers i've seen benefit from literally ANY of these changes (especially the DS nerf) is just nurse and blight... DID NURSE NEED BUFFS? No... the other killers did!
You release Sadako, a garbage M1 killer with a lack luster power that hardly does anything 99% of the time (condemned) but when you teleport you literally get PUNISHED for teleporting by having your TV turned off for 1 MINUTE AND 40 SECONDS. But then next chapter you release a killer who not only has a teleport as well, but has more options to teleport too, AND his teleport doesn't proceed to shut down for a minute and a half just because he chose to use his power. AND (although a terrible one) he has an anti loop.
And the maps OH the maps. EVEN THE NEWEST MAP is god awful to play on as killer like bro, how have we not learned ANYTHING about map design to make it fair for both sides after SIX YEARS. It's been SIX YEARS. And we're still designing main buildings with 3 god windows????? We're still designing maps with 10 god / super safe pallets, with no physical way to mindgame all within 15 feet of each other??? Like how is it possible that after six years nothing has been learned. It's not like the complaints are something new. I haven't even been playing for that long (A little less than a year), but when I go back and see that people have ALWAYS complained about the maps.
How have the last 3 maps released been complete disasters? RPD, Eyrie of Crows, and Garden of Joy. All maps that make it a literal chore to play killer. Like are we just not listening to the community? Is there just no feedback being consumed? I just don't get it man. Do we need a new map design team?
Well that's my rant over, time for me to go queue up as killer and hate my experience some more while I try to force Sadako to be a good killer. Hell this post'll probably get taken down anyway because if you speak about how the devs and how they are failing to make the game work, you're not in the right and should be punished. Feedback isn't allowed.
Bring Midwich map offering, instant win. Ez condeming survs Ez life

M8 I did that challenge 2 days ago and believe me it ain't hard, not even trying to brag, just bring a map offering that spanws hatch at shack or main building, bring your red key and reveals survivors aura, and be the last one to leave, walk pass the hatch purposely with the killer chasing you and you are the only surv left in the game, 9/10 times he will close the hatch when he sees it open. And just slowly walk back to the hatch and unlock, because when you spawn the hatch at the shack, 7/10 time, in maps like Cold wind or Macmillan or azarov, the shack is right next to the gate. Even plagues map or huntress
