As survivor, if I escape I win.
As killer:
-4k or 3k is a victory
-2k is a draw
-1k or 0k is a defeat
If you die as a survivor and your whole team escapes you still see it as a loss? Interesting

Survivor : 3 escapes
Killer: 3 kills

It negates the bonus chance from offerings to get a map unless 4 offerings are burned for the map.
I know how it works, that wasn't my point. I just find the way this works silly, there's no point in bringing it if it's going to give the map anyways. I'd like my offering back then

I have no idea, what you are trying to say.
Edit: Nevermind. I think I understand now. You are unhappy about Sacrificial Wards not preventing the realm that is chosen by a map offering, correct?
As far as I know they work just as intended. The map offering is negated and the realm chosen randomly. That does not exclude the realm that would have been chosen by the map offering. So there is still a chance to go there.
I know how it works, I just find it silly. Also, how does this happen twice in a row?

Found another sac ward in my bloodweb..... once again a map offering.... I refuse to believe you guys didn't code some sort of luck for killers or something. This is insane?

After getting scanned, you are immune from further scans for 3 seconds. Getting scanned by multiple drones within 3 seconds does not add extra stacks.
Outside of chase that would help. But when she is following you, and you have to run through a cluster of drones you just get injured instantly. On top of that in deep wound and also hindered. While she gets even faster because you (and maybe also others) are inside of a drone zone. You barely need any killer experience to play her, if you have a few hundred hours you can beat a team with a few thousand hours each. Just use a drone, force a hit, use a drone, force a hit. While walking inbetween 3 gens, not leaving the area, kicking a gen, placing a drone. Hell how is this even fun, I get agitated when I think about it

Her 3-gen capabilities were weakened during her rework. Currently she isn't really much better at 3-genning than other killers, since her drones don't work on people doing gens.
I keep seeing people who say this. But did you play against any 3-gen skullmerchants after the rework? It's legit exactly the same. You get injured so easily, so the 'exposed' part is the same, she is fast, you are slow. She can just play the same 3-gen strategy like before
-
@Killing_Time said:
Skull Merchant is fine... She's still just an M1.
M1 for the survivors I guess. She's not chasing just kicking gens for 30 minutes until the survivors give up because they get bored.
-
Played 4 games now and 3 of them were skull merchants.... I'm not even kidding. Did any big content creator make a video about her and her 3-gen strategy? Legit curious

i just had a SM pull the “get good” egc comment after doing all this nonsense and getting 1 putted through gates. Let me pick my teammates and be on comms and we’ll see who needs to get good.
Annoying how a killer with a few hundred hours can beat teams with thousands and thousands of hours each. Just by dry kicking gens and placing drones.

I know what it does, I just don't understand why ;p

And what if people don't want to play with No Mither or Sole Survivor? Are survivors just not allowed to run these perks anymore?
Ofcourse they are, you can just swap your presets last second if you really think not a single player wants to play with you. Or maybe make it so anonymous profiles hide this feature. There will be a solution for no mither players, dont worry.

I did suggest something like that, but mid-game.
There were concerns that people would do lobby dodging if they saw ''bad'' perk combination or players with tier 1 or tier 2 perks or no perks at all.
That would take away the synergizing part though, which swf does have. If people don't want to play with 'new' players they will dodge low prestiges anyways. And maybe new players should play with new players instead? And if you really think someone is dodging you because of your build you could always swap it last second. But I think these are very rare cases

Am I the only one that loves the event for both sides? Yes it favors killers. But it's not like insta-loose, so not a big deal
I don't mind it being event stuff, since it's temporarily. But I just don't want to see this come back as a permanent feature. Bloodlust with exposed on top creates awkward situations when bloodlust carries over or when you have to stand still to give a hit because the killer is trying to get bloodlust just to insta down you. So instead of playing mindgames around a dropped unsafe pallet you have to stand still and take a hit. Kinda lame
-
@HugTechLover said:
Ok… if they are trying to bloodlust you for the exposed down, just STOP running and force the M1. They will not get bloodlust if you stop running.
Last sentence of my original post... "So you have to stand still and hope the chase ends, instead of actually playing mindgames around the dropped pallet."
-
The killers objective is to kill, going for the same person over and over will accomplish this the fastest. 3 hooks = 1 kill is faster than going the long way (the survivor rule book way) 8 hooks = 0 kills. Survivors doing gens= "just doing our objective". Killers killing people= "why? cause it's the easy way, if it's the most easy way to win"
Changing the win condition to winning chases or getting hooks will require different playstyles. But making KILLING the win condition will make RUSHING kills the best way, get it?

This is objectively the most balanced the game has ever been in. tho i don't think it's hopeless for survivors as op thinks it is, you're just a victim of matchmaking for soloq
as I said at the end "you can't fix that with nerfs and buffs, it's just the casual playerbase" game is in it's best state (balance wise) right now. Agreed.

"because killers are just in too strong of a spot right now" is an interesting take I feel. What happened to killers "a year ago, two years ago" Mori nerf, Noed nerf, Nurse nerf, Spirit nerf, Wraith nerf, Deathslinger nerf, Ruin + Undying nerf, Pop (+Scourge combo) nerf, base BT, new survivor HUD, OTR buff.... and those are a few things I can name now in 10 seconds, which makes ""because killers are just in too strong of a spot right now" an interesting take. I feel the only thing that bothers me about SoloQ is survivor being super bad and people constantly give up, instead of manning up and trying to focus up. But that's something you can't fix with nerfs and buffs, its just the casual playerbase.
-
Has been in the game for months now, it's quite painful when playing Wraith you have no clue when the flashlight is actually connecting with you
-
I always quickswitch into my main character. It's so silly that I have to do this in the first place, it's so strange that people view high prestige as high skill and put a sweat build with sweaty add-ons and playstyles. You can get P100 in like 300,400,500 hours? Are people with that amount viewed as good? How good are people with 10K+ hours then? I wish there was a way to hide prestiges, as they mean nothing

I am simply bad at stealth at the beginning of the game. If I start with all survivors in the same tile I simply try to leave but I always get seen by the killer.
But you kinda want the first chase over your weak random teammates right?

I remember when Oni would get double the blood orbs than he should and that didn't get fixed for half a year if not longer but keep going babes x
I remember (from this year!) how survivors could have wallhacks by using Object of Obsession and Blood Pact equipped. Didn't get fixed for weeks! But let's go babes! I bet I could go on for longer than you ;)

Hey remember when Wake Up! would crash the game of the killer and it was killswitched with in literal hours after the bug was first reported to BHVR?
Just drop the narrative babes it's not a good look
Fun, I remember a bug where Wake Up would boost all actions by 15% (yes, even gen repair speed and vaulting). But that didnt get fixed for almost 2 weeks. Just drop the narrative baby it's not a good look!
(Funny how I have a counter on exactly 1 of the 123 survivor perks in the game, that just shows how dumb your statement is)
-
Isn't he the guy who just stands like a sentry gun on an elevation and snipes everyone? Would like to see him do that against an actual team with eyes and maybe even fingers.
-
"Sometimes they play the window" is something Hens333 would say. Play the pallet! Hahahah
-
What about removing hook states and adding a collective hook counter. No more forcing hook stages, and survivors get the chases they really want. They should add some sort of killer instinct during the endgame to remove stale situations like the last 2 survivors hiding forever without ever touching their objectives. Hatch 50/50 and doors 50/50 are actually a good mechanic stats wise because they increase the survivors escape rate. Which allowed killers to stay like this without getting nerfed.
-
Yeah or shadow nerf, since the killer can't apply it again after the survivor scream. You could even tell which gens to apply it on because of the survivors screams. Now that's not possible anymore. Since they start regressing at 25% survivor repair speed.
-
You technically could find out through data mining yeah
-
I also don't get why you can lose pips, since its just a playtime thing now which has nothing to do with matchmaking. As a solo survivor there are so many things you have to rely on to get a pip, that's it's almost impossible
-
Thing is, the problem is the core game design.
3 gens take 90 seconds (3 survivors split on gens, 1 in chase) as soon as you push 1 survivor off a gen, the other one will take over.
Killer at the start: Find a survivor, chase, hit, recover, chase, hit, recover, pick up, walk to a hook, hook, look for a new survivor, repeat. Let's say at BEST this all takes 60 seconds, you're still soooo far behind. And when people say "Yes, but not all survivors are efficient". Is that a player problem or a game design problem? So against survivors who actually try you should just lose? That doesn't sound right
-

Because the bug isn’t game breaking like other map issues such as spots where you can’t be hooked

Imagine people liking a perk so much in a game where the most fun is had during a chase. 🙄
I agree, chases are so fun. But why does the community push "Theyre killers, not hookers" so hard. No one likes to get tunneled and camped. Yet it is the most effective strategy (and thats intended!!)

Quite painful as a Wraith player. Can't hear yourself getting burnt

It does need some slight improvements though.

Just turn the end game chat off and put on anonymous mode. People are very hostile, doesn't matter what you do. Only if they all escape you get a barrage of "ggs" (and if you're lucky some ez baby killer) but when they die its just complaining

Why don't they give killer instinct in scenarios like those

Overcome, Lucky Break and Q&Q? You could also offer an indoor map? Get hit and just jump in a locker somewhere, should be pretty confirmed, easily? I did this 20 times to get that Steam challenge where you had to escape the killer by using a locker 20 times.
