Yes, and then I get 8 hooks, everyone on death hook, 4 people tbagging me in the gate with a nice "gg ez git gut baby killer" in endgame chat.
Always funny how survivors can play as efficient as possible (sacrificing on gens etc) but when a killer plays efficiently its lame

I dont see how it can be throwing. It counts towards the objective and helps prevent NOED.
And towards which objective does it count towards? Does it repair gens for you?

It doesn't prevent NOED. You wont get to the endgame cleansing 5 dulls, you don't have the time. Might as well proc the last gen and check for the NOED totems, which now even has aura reading for the casuals.
-
Devs have released this. But I think they scheduled it for next year...
-
Some maps have very dominant spawns. (Badham, bottom school) (Grim pantry, in the Hut or top basement stairs in Main) to name a few. But it's also mainly luck and a dead part of the game.
-
Luckily this is (and has been) in the backlog for over a year, and will get released in... over a year.
-
Read patch notes.
-
Or this? I mean, it would help?
-
Giving a down with 5 gens up is not great. The killer can punish it by facecamping the first person. When the map is brand new, all loops are fresh, you shouldn´t go down in 10 seconds.
-
Might as well use Circle of Healing instead of selfcare? It's faster and it gives your teammates an extra perk too
-
This would be a step in the right direction
-
The problem is the win conditions. Kills = wins (remember "Theyre Killers not Hookers") ?? If you play efficient and kill people as fast as possible, you won't be respecting the survivors unwritten rule book. The win conditions on both sides make the game boring. Why not design it around chasing people. Everyone likes to chase and get chased.
-
The whole base is wrong. Them clinging on onto the whole "The Killer kills" analogy destroys the whole game. Everyone likes to get chased, the survivors like it and the killer does. But it's not an efficient thing to do as a killer, making them (so called) 'camp and tunnel'. It's not fun for anyone. But indeed, its a Killer (who kills) and not a Chaser (who chases). So we are stuck with dead boring matches getting 'tunneled' and 'camped' over and over. While the devs are constantly scrambling to plasterfix it
-
This is not it. First of all you're on the complete casual side. Judging by the screenshots these are not pro players by any means. They'll get overrun no matter what. Second of all. Those clips are not really adding much. The girl is saying in the second clip "I dont want to be tryharding every game, I want to be drinking and chatting during the game". Can you already see Knightlight taking some nice sips during his tournament games? The game is completely overrun by the casual side of DBD

Did you make the icons of are they official? They look good.
I think these are the official icons the devs proposed
-
Nurse is ######### bullshit. No one likes to play against nurse in Solo queue especially. Remove Nurse so the other killers can get a buff. The only thing holding them back is Nurse existing.,
-
They no longer have the ST license, so the perks don't belong to the characters anymore.
-
Devotion is another one of these meaningless numbers the devs have added. It's time played somewhere after 2018, 2019, who knows. Just like these prestiges they're going to add. Imagine spending 300 mil on a character before this patch, and getting prestige 11 just like everyone else with p3 level 50 maxed perks. The only thing it will do is confuse people, just like Grades, Ranks, Devotion, mmr... Well.. you name it
-
I hope so, she's way too boring to play against as a solo team
-
I love getting stomped by a Nurse in solo queue while not using deadhard as well

Well but that's not the point of an Achivement that you have to wait to a specific time of a month to have a higher Chance to get it. That's just stupid
Yes I agree with you. No the achievement has nothing to do with skill. But that's because of the weird emblem system. A 4k is a win, but you can 'draw' according to the emblem system if you play too well. It's just completely random. You can also escape and de-pip. Because the killer wasn't good enough. Why does that mean you played bad.
-
I just play a few games to learn their power and let everyone escape every time. After those games I get a bunch of chillers who I can roll. And also, do them after Grade reset so you can get away with 1 Silver medal. Because you're Grade Ash
-
That's game feature, supposed to work like that just like a flashbang/cracker
-
It's some sort of power trip. They feel superior walking out while you're watching.
-
They 'force' you to play the other role. Since you buy a full game and not just the survivor role
-
I don't get why people want to keep the deadhard for distance. "Dead Hard - (nerf) - dash distance doubled. invincibility frames removed."
The reason why deadhard deserves a nerf is because deadhard for distance has no counter. This is how an average chase goes: Hit, mistake, deadhard for distance to a window or pallet, hit. It's so repetitive and boring. Deadhard should NOT give any distance. Just give it the Enduring status effect for 1 second. So it's actually about 'dodging' a hit and not about call-able but no counterplay distance.
-
Just run noed with 3 gen defence perks. Strategically camp, slug and make sure to tunnel someone out early. That's how they do it in comp, where there are 100+ rules to make the game somewhat balanced. Survivors dont give you anything when you're having a bad or unfair game. You'll get tbagged and 4x 'gg ez baby killer' in the endgame chat.
I'd love this game to be designed around chasing people. But then people just say "You're called a killer, not a chaser" or a different empty argument like that. It's unwinnable. Just join the dark side, play to win.
-
My first game of camping and tunneling was a succes! I camped them all in the basement and played the grab game, they barely got any points too!

If you don’t have fun preventing rescues and focusing survivors then don’t do it. But you will lose against any good survivor team.
It’s a PVP game, killing someone is not being mean. It’s the objective, there is nothing toxic about it. The role is called Killer, you are supposed to try to kill them, not babysit them.
You need to break free from this survivor narrative shaming killers for playing efficient. I wish we had a spectator mode so you could see how high mmr killers are playing (not streamers fishing for views).
Now I am to ask you a question, and think about it : if this was a game with 2 killer VS 5 survivors would you still play "nice" ? Would it not be consider throwing playing "nice" ?
Yes I'm aware that you will lose. But that's not the point of my post. I want it to be changed so it's fun for everyone. Everyone hates camping and tunneling. I have doing it and I hate when people do it against me. Why is it the most efficient way to play, and why has it been for years?

I'll recommend rancor too if that's the way.
Maybe, it will confirm a kill I guess? But its noed with 3 slowdown perks more sweaty? So you have more time to camp and tunnel early and mid game?

Yes, you've been outsmarted by their pity tactics.
Alright, I will give up on trying to be nice. I will be conservative and accept that this game is just about getting your kills. Not a game to have fun. Tunneling and camping with noed and 3 slowdown perks it is.

I am sorry but it you hook everyone twice but gets no kill you got outsmart by the survivor team. Hook / chase trading is a common survivor strategy to buy time, you did not play well or nice, you just did what they wanted you to do.
As killer, you are suppose to hook survivors, preventing rescues, and maybe pressure generators to buy time. If you refuse to defend your hooks, and won’t chase the same survivor twice, that’s on you. Not on the game.
You are not playing to win, you are playing to please the survivor team and make them win. Don’t expect any reward except a "gg ez" from the survivor team.
So me walking around, respecting everyone who just got unhooked is them actually 'outsmarting' me? Or just me trying to give them a nice time because I know how boring it is to get tunneled every single game. Alright, I will just camp and tunnel everyone out now, let's see how they like it. I will show you some endgame screenshots

You mean "interactive" as in "no repairing match"? in which case yes I'm always try to make that.
No, not a no repairing match. I want variety. I want to get chased, unhook, repair, heal. I dont want to juice a killer for 5 gens, I dont want to walk up to a hook to see someone get facecamped. I want the killer to feel strong, to be all over the map, to dive into chases. I prefer getting 3 unhooks and getting dominated like a baby seal in every single chase. Then getting downed, unhooked, instantly downed, hooked, unhooked instantly downed next to the hook and hooked again. I want interaction... it's that too much to ask, I want to have fun.
-
@WesCravenFan said:
Everytime someone talks about "being interactive", they mean juicing the killer in longer chases.
Why the hell would killer players want LONGER chases? It's bad enough that Survivors expect them to it a MINIMUM of TWELVE times, flashlight saves and wiggle outs nonwithstading.
Now you want LONGER chases?
How EXACTLY are you gonna sell that pitch?
No I dont want to juice anyone.. I just want to be able to chase everyone multiple times. Instead of me standing next to the hook or tunneling someone out because its more efficient. I want to be all over the map, chasing, hitting. As a survivor I want to be able to rescue someone, maybe even heal someone. Instead of me walking up to the hook and seeing a Billy standing there, creepily staring at the hook. I WANT INTERACTION! I don't want to sit on a gen all game because someone is getting facecamped. I want to get chased, I want to go down, I want to get unhooked, I want to be able to heal, I want to be able to unhook others, I WANT TO GET CHAAAAAAAASED!!!
-
@Murgleïs said:
The killer is already rewarded for doing well in chase : he gets BP for it.
Now, if you want the killer to get higher MMR too, that would make no sense. Killers with high skill getting no kills is a survivor lie. It doesn’t exist, it’s called a bad killer, aka a nice killer in survivor language.
Streamers, like Otz, Truetalent, ect…are avoiding tunneling and camping because it’s not good content : it can be boring to watch and would make survivor fan base angry. But if they did it, they would win more.
But why should tunneling and camping lead to more 'wins'???? That's the whole point! Make it not about kills and stop rewarding it! And a killer getting 'no kills' means he's bad is also not true, unless your version of a good killer is someone standing next to a hook all game. I can hook everyone twice, keeping 4 people in a match and lose. Because 4 people do gens faster than 3 or 2 people. Yet I can pick Bubba, 1v1 someone and facecamp him and have a better result right, because I got a kill?
-
@Seanzu said:
Does it really reward failure?
People play more "greedy" because they have Dead Hard, you didn't outplay them and catch them, because they knew they had Dead Hard, killers are also faster than survivors and also have bloodlust (which actually rewards failure, for free, unlike Dead Hard, which is a perk slot), so it's almost inevitable you'll catch up to a survivor.
Yes it is inevitable to 1v1 a killer. Because the game is a 4v1. You're stuck in the 1v1 mindset. If you're able to 1v1 a killer in a 4v1 killer then that's a problem.
-
The speed was never the (only) problem. It's the range (also going through floors) and the fact that you can set up the boon an unlimited amount of times.
-
I either turn around and let them hang there, or I wait until second stage. For me you have two choices. You either try to unhook yourself, or you let me do it. You can´t have both. I´m not going to run all across the map to let you be selfish.
-
You also have those on Asylum. Or what about the TL totems right in front of a gen. Right next to the survivors only objective. Might as well put them next to the survivors spawning in
-

Not all Killers have a chase Power, Wraith has some good power regardless.
Late game when there are few pallets, Wraith is a beast.
Doesnt that apply to every killer? But that aside, late game when the pallets are gone, the gens will be completed.
-
I'd only gg if I were to escape or if I killed 3+. So I never say it because it wouldn't always be genuine.
-
20 seconds to find someone, 20 second chase, 10 second pickup + carry, 20 second to find someone else. Sounds quite fast right? But that's 70 seconds, and a gen takes 80 seconds. So if people always split up on gens that means 3 gens completed after 1 chase. Chase someone off a gen? The other person takes over. It's a 4v1.

Can confirm, at some point (idk which patch it was) the "opens lockers faster" was removed from the description of both addons and the purple addon no longer affects it but the green addon still does. There was no mention anywhere in patch notes about these changing.
I dont get why the randomly took it away from the purple version
-
Happened to me once on Midwich. Uncloaked and grabbed someone while he tried to jump into a locker. Also couldn't do anything anymore
-
Why are basement hooks not Scourge hooks anyways?
-
They did that exactly for people like you. People get confused with ranks/grades/mmr. They have nothing in common. Grades are a monthly reward system you gain 'Grades' by playing the game. You dont have to do well because you can't lose a Grade. I watched a new streamer play this game and he said he was doing pretty well because he kept getting matched up against people with "high ranks". Even though he was looking at the monthly reward system instead of the Matchmaking Rating (which is not visible)

I must admit I like the idea of character portraits instead of names + Grade, I'm awful at remembering names in general and would find it a lot easier to see who was who in the match if character portraits were included.
Or keep the symbols like they have them now. But change the colours when they're in a swf. So you can see if you played against a team or not.
-
No, it will be too convoluted and too difficult

@SS007 said:
What's the point of grinding rank 1 then ?
There has never been a point. When they still had ranks in the game it was already very easy to get there. 300 hour players could reach rank 1 just like 10k hour players. Do you know how big the skillgap is there? And now they have replaced it with monthly reward Grades. They are there to keep you playing every month, it's not Ranks anymore, its Grades.
