Have you got a screenshot of that? I checked my emails and this is the last correspondence (20th August I received the email)

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/17VMDLVIQY0O/12851.png

I emailed to ask and they responded: Your order hasn't shipped yet and should start shipping early next month. Once the order ships, you will receive an email with the tracking information.

  • I received an update, they said sometime in October I can expect my shipment. I'm guessing nothing about animating these exclusive cosmetics? Still unbelievable that they thought static would be the way to go.

  • @Nazzzak said:

Are you still waiting on your Collector's box? I had a second one left at my doorstep, so I think they've messed up and accidentally sent some orders elsewhere. I emailed them, just waiting on a reply.

Yeah they finally responded and said October for the box.

    @Linkdouken said:

Still heard nothing either about collectors box shipping.. they said September would be latest and hear we are mid of the month…

    They said by October.

  • There is a list posted but I get the impression it's not officially released.

  • It should shield against Killer Instinct, but it doesn't help against it. 10s of Elusive is pretty modest, especially against certain killers. I still see massive post-rescue tunneling, even when they lost LoS usually due to KI or A Nurse's Calling.

  • Exhaustion should be Survivor-imposed and work as it does today, and a new similar status effect imposed by Killers could be Fatigued. The difference is that Fatigued can be recovered by running and only The Killer can inflict it. I hate Killer inflicted Exhaustion when running IW, and everytime I run that, that's what I get.

  • Elusive is a joke if they have eyes on you, and tunnelers usually aren't very far. Now, if you vanished, then yeah, it would be helpful. The Killer sees you and will still follow for the paltry 10 seconds of Elusive. This is especially true against The Judgment; the 10s is meaningless.

  • If you play with friends, have everyone run Boon: Shadow Step. Three Judgments, and all three disconnected as soon as they hit zero auras. A fourth just idled. Even two SS can be a game changer. The Judgment players are abusing non-stop aura reading. Deny this and they will rage quit more than likely or at least have to work much harder. So far, none have tried. They DC or idle.

  • Ye show up anytime. A friend had his delivered yesterday, got zero notification and discovered it in the mailroom today. It could've been stolen. They really need to make shipment emails a priority. Not everyone lives in a house with cameras to watch for packages.

Why are we forcing survivors to play again? That's my right to dodge it, I'm not in a match, plus many scenarios can happen like sudden wifi drops or people from russia getting kicked because of their restricted internet...

Just make preparing less like 30s stead of 60s like in dbd mobile

That's where we are, and the devs are happy to strip Survivors of choice. Player agency for Survivors is slowly fading; what's left for them to control? Doing gens? totems? rescuing? healing? At some point we will just be watching the game do stuff for us. Instead of the devs focusing on why people aren't on a gen, DC, give up, attempt to unhook, etc their solution is to eliminate these options and compel you to "play" as they see fit.

  • They also need to add more limits and cooldowns to Aura perks. Back-to-back aura grants are excessive and sometimes overly oppressive against certain killers and builds. We See You is working overtime in my Trials lately, but why impose a 10s cooldown on tokens? If a Killer can get three consecutive aura reads, give me three tokens. Aura reading needs a major rework; it simply comes up way too often.

  • Sony will probably do what they've done on PS4, and that is to create a new stack. Otherwise more games are going to reach this limit. But then again Sony doesn't seem to care too much because they have a lot of restrictions on trophies that other platforms don't. So in many cases other games get DLC trophies and PlayStation doesn't.

Why must the killer drop the survivor when they are blinded while they have already picked up the survivor? It's unnecessary and disruptive.

That's a false equivalence. A flashlight rescue requires precise timing to blind and stun The Killer. The brief stun is what results in the Survivor being dropped. Screaming Perks and Add-ons provide location info and usually aura reading across the map. It doesn't necessarily make sense for tracking to automatically double as an action interrupt that knocks Survivors off whatever they're doing, in some cases across the map and repeatedly.

  • @SpyUA said:

There is counter victor, you dodge him then you kick him, it's that simple

Yeah, but then there's the FtK advantage with lag. You juke Victor, and you see him pouncing to the left or right of you, clearly missing you and then voila! He snaps onto you anyway.

  • Why must survivors let go of what they're doing to throw their hands in the air upon screaming? It's unnecessary and disruptive.

  • @Nazzzak said:

Agree. Question, did you get a shipping notification when yours sent? Everyone seems to be getting theirs but i don't even have a notification mine has been sent

I haven't gotten anything and it's annoying. Not getting notification in advance of something being shipped is hugely problematic. I like to know when to expect things. They said we're going to get an email, but lots of people are reporting the package just showing up.

  • This is how I thought it was from day one. Allowing the Aura read to be from The Killer was such a huge mistake. Super headache versus certain high mobility killers.

I mean you can still play 2 vs 8 when it out, happens very often.

But no I prefer 1 vs 4, mostly because thats the only mode with solo role (killer).

But I see that more casual players really love the 2 vs 8 mode. Its more a fun mode overall with less stakes

I think that's why casuals and terrible players love it. I know one such player; she's absolute crap at the game. Misses skill checks, loves to hide, loves to rescue but not heal/help; just hides, rarely on gens but always doing totems and chests. Always eager to escape! She loves 2v8 because there are seven others to take chase or for The Killers to pursue. She does nothing but rescue and hide.

When the pebble hits the killer he get's stunned for 2-3 seconds.

If they did that, the perk would have to make you Aura shown, Exhausted, Hindered, Exposed, Blind, and Oblivious for 60s after successfully using the pebble. The pebble itself would be one-time use and have a laundry list of activation conditions.

Would you like a 60 minute queue for killer instead of a 20-40 minute one? The mode already appears to have fully random matchmaking and is full of trolls. There needs to be some appeal for survivor.

Mine has never gone below 30, usually 31-40. Today I saw it reach 43 for the first time. And well said, I guess some want to wait 60 minutes to be in a Trial for 10-20 min.

My entire point this whole time was about conflating queue times to balance. You can look at escape/kill rates as a decent indicator to balance, but queue times alone just means its more fun. If they made the gens only take 10 seconds, you'd drastically change the balance without ever making the role more fun.

Your 'entire point' keeps changing because your arguments keep falling apart. My original point hasn't changed: no one wants to play Survivor, and Killer is more appealing and fun. Now your last resort is arguing the semantics of 'fun' versus 'balance.'

You're wrong again, and your 10-second generator example proves it: u cannot separate game balance from the gameplay experience. You are looking at a spreadsheet of escape rates and calling the game 'balanced,' completely ignoring that the mechanics required to get those escapes are so miserable that hardly anyone wants to play the role.

If 80% of the roles in a match are so unappealing that the devs have to offer massive incentives even with 10s queue times just to get people to endure it, your game isn't balanced. You've conceded on the data, the queues, and the fun. You're just arguing definitions now because you lost the debate, and there is no point in continuing this if you're just going to keep shifting the goalposts.

Meanwhile, Killers are still waiting 40 minutes just to play. Speaking of which, the wait is so long that when I queued 35 minutes ago I wanted to play The Trapper, and now I want to play The Spirit but cannot switch lol

I'll agree the killer experience is fun. Im a killer main for a reason, lol. Being able to swap between several killers and enjoy different experiences is what brought me to that role to begin with and I personally am OK with playing alone. Thats not the same with everyone though. Many people play survivor specifically because its the only role they can play with their friends.

No, I dont think the survivor players are joining a super long killer queue and just sitting there for 40 minutes. I think its much more likely they're doing what Im doing lately with using the PWYW feature to play survivor twice before hopping in their killer game.

You can make the argument all day that the survivor role isn't fun and thats why people prefer queuing for 2v8 killer. I wouldn't disagree with you that 2v8 killer is more fun. The part im disagreeing with is that the killer role is more popular because 2v8 killer is STRONGER than normal. Personally, my 2v8 survivor games have MORE escapes than my 1v4 survivor games, not less. Link your stats on 1v4 and 2v8 survivor really quick to compare the results of the same player.

You already conceded my original point: 2v8 Killer is more fun. But your pivot to personal escape rates and assumptions doesn't save your argument—it actually breaks it completely.

You said you 'think its much more likely' players are doing exactly what you do: playing two Survivor matches via PWYW just to get one Killer match. That is an assumption, not a fact. But let's look at the math if you're right. If the massive pool of waiting Killers is doing double duty to fill Survivor lobbies artificially, and the Killer queue still takes 40 minutes... it means the dedicated Survivor population has practically vanished. Killers are literally subsidizing the Survivor queues, and it's still not enough to fix the bottleneck. If playing Survivor was actually desirable, the game wouldn't need Killers on a 40-minute layover to populate its lobbies. Personally, Survivor is so unappealing right now that I would rather sit in that long queue doing other stuff than use PWYW to play it.

Your escape rate logic contradicts your own conclusion. Think about what you just argued: Survivors are escaping more in 2v8. If Survivors are winning more often, yet the game still has to use PWYW and massive Bloodpoint incentives to fill lobbies, that is the ultimate proof the role is in a terrible state. It means Survivor is so unappealing right now that people don't even want to play it when they are actively winning and getting massive BPs.

I also never said STRONGER, I said more appealing and fun. As I said from the start: the queues don't lie.

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4108635#Comment_4108635

The stats is actually the easiest part to collect. All you have to do is look at the difference in queue times before and during 2v8. The only thing that would realistically cause both 1v4 and 2v8 killer queues to jump up like this without any balance change is if people who normally would be in the 1v4 survivor queue to instead join the 2v8 killer queue. For many ppl, SWF is a major reason they even play DBD. They like to play with their friends.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CLSJXMQMUL4J/1000002508.jpg

We can see the number of players didnt go DOWN from players leaving during the event, so coming to the conclusion the players are joining a different queue isn't hard.

Steam Charts only track who has the game open, not what queue they are choosing on one of five platforms. But even if we use your exact interpretation, that player counts are stable and Survivor players are simply migrating to the Killer queue, it completely proves my point.

Players don't migrate to longer queues just to be miserable. The fact that veteran Survivor mains are willing to wait 40 minutes in massive lines just to play duo-Killer, and that Killers are flooding the event, proves exactly what I originally said: the Killer experience is currently much more fun and appealing than playing Survivor right now. And no one wants to play Survivor, including Survivor mains. That is a combination of fun and balance.

They could completely butcher any resemblance of balance in 2v8 and people would still wanna queue up with the only gamemode that lets you play killer with a friend. You have GOT to stop conflating queue times with balance.

You need to stop conflating that everyone being so eager to play killer with a friend is the issue! Do you have statistics or information that verifies this claim? I also disagree with your opinion, because if getting a kill were nearly impossible in this mode, no one would play it. Killer is easy, and more fun than Survivor in this mode. And the queues reflect that reality.

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4107910#Comment_4107910

Isn't 2v8, the mode with the really long killer queues, considered SURVIVOR sided? 1v4 queues normally go up anytime 2v8 comes around... the only abnormal thing here is the 2v8 queues.

That's what Killer mains claim, but I guess not, because no one wants to play Survivor in 2v8. Survivor is 10s + 3.5x, Killer is 40 min for me.

  • Will it tell us if someone has it off? At least so people don't waste time using it, if everyone has it off.

  • The game should move to Server-Side Hit Authority as a neutral decider, but instead it's still 'Favor The Killer.' Hits are handled on The Killer's end and only get validated if The Killer's ping exceeds an extremely generous threshold. Last I checked, it was 550 or higher. It's likely much higher today because I ran into a killer some weeks ago with the lag knife icon the whole game, with ping fluctuations of 100-1200 ms and zero issues. He landed every hit, was vacuuming people for miles during grabs/pick-ups, and had no problem getting a 4k. But his experience is way more important than the four Survivors.

The game rewards laggy killers, and so many are accustomed to every hit landing and connecting that it would be a huge undertaking for the devs to wean them off. I remember how nice DH and Pallet Validation were: no more downs while Exhausted and no more fake hits at pallets. It was great; if you got the stun, you were good. Then the killer crying and complaints began, so the devs quietly started reducing the efficacy of these changes until it was back to the old system: getting downed and struck through every pallet.

The devs are more concerned with The Killer's experience, and most of these topics end up with killers whining about being in Timbuktu and how unfair it would be if the servers decide the hits. Meanwhile, they are ok with the fairness of hits being handled on their end, which screws over Survivors. That's acceptable.

  • We need "Stop opening chests and do a gen" and "stop hiding" lol jk, but this new system looks really good. I look forward it.

  • I think OP offers a fair solution. I don't mind that!

In other games, Anonymous Mode only works pre-game and during the match. However, when The Killer's Perks are revealed is when the names should be revealed too. This is a fair compromise: your ID is protected during the Trial but after it should be visible.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I can imagine the only reason is because Achievements exist which require you to play on a certain map or do something on a certain map. And since those are still achievable, they cannot be changed (especially Console does not really allow changing achievements if they are achievable).

IMO they should remove Map Offerings and press for a case that it is not reasonable to do some of the Achievements anymore without Map Offerings. Because even with Map Offerings at 20% chance, it is just not possible to really play for some Achievements. I mean, opening the Exit Gates on RPD 20 times would require at least 100 Map Offerings on average. And this is when in all those 20 games the Survivor actually survives AND opens the Exit Gates. And IMO you can easily argue here that this is not possible anymore in DBD and therefore this achievement should be removed and with it the RPD-Offering (and every other Map Offering).

They are just Bloodweb-Clutter at this point and we have really enough of that.

I know the PlayStation policy regarding trophies is that they really truly discourage adjusting trophy difficulty because it "undermines the integrity of the system." However, the devs are free to adjust it as they see fit. Sony really stresses that, where possible, a trophy should not be made easier or harder. Not sure about Microsoft's policy on Achievements, but they seem more flexible.

  • Basekit makes slugging too effective, too easy, and too attractive.

Killer Perks should no longer work in the Dying State; instead, require them to use Perks or Add-ons that build into slugging and extend the info to the Dying State.

BBQ: After hooking a Survivor, all Healthy or Injured Survivors who are at least 60/50/40 metres away from that Hook have their Aura revealed to you for 5 seconds.

Infectious: Whenever a Survivor is put into the Dying State by any means, all other Healthy or Injured Survivors within your Terror Radius will scream and reveal their current location to you for 4/5/6 seconds.

They could add some new Perks and Add-ons that make slugging as viable as it is today, like one that makes Screaming and Aura work in the Dying State. Something that increases Pools of Blood and noise in the Dying State too. Slugging should always be an option, but without Perks it should be highly risky and more difficult for The Killer.

Improve Basekit for Survivors too. Survivors move too slowly, make too much noise, etc. They could move a little faster or perhaps increase speed over time. The current snail's pace encourages and promotes slugging since Survivors cannot go far.

  • In a universe where events usually occur once per year. Up to four times a year is basically quarterly. Chaos and Lights Out were fun; it's something we haven't had in a long time. It feels special; you want to play. There's nothing special about 2v8; it comes up very often comparatively, and they almost always extend it. It's no surprise that the killer's q times are 35 minutes.

  • More Perks need fewer activation conditions, deactivation triggers, and more uses. Lots are too niche or overly specific and bring little value when they do work. Some are super weird conditions too, or things that rely on the planets aligning perfectly during a Trial. If there's a perfect storm of events, and ten things converge at the exact moment, and you're doing X while The Killer is doing Y, then for the next three seconds you can do Z. Mostly not even worth it.

  • 2v8 comes up way too often, it doesn't even feel like an event anymore.

I am of the camp that less FOMO is good I'm never upset to see new people get what used to be exclusive to me like I'm happy rift outfits come back my buddy missed Bill from Tome 7 and I always felt guilty so I never used it. I also gave him my Moth Jeff from Amazon because that was so dumb to lock. But grinding things like those crowns kinda bothered me because what was the point of trying? Those crowns and Gnome Chomsky were not easy especially since killers knew survivors were trying to get it.

It makes no difference to me whether to bring it back or not (exception: time milestones like the 10th), but what DOES matter is communication. Be clear, like other games are about items. XYZ Event items are recurring items and will return with next year's version, etc. Make it clear; let players know so they can decide, but they want the best of both worlds. They want the FOMO to drive engagement and participation, but then want to bring everything back.

On the anniversary items, those should've stayed exclusive. I don't see why people would want things celebrating an anniversary they weren't a part of. They could make generic anniversary items that return every year, but items that say 5th, 10th, etc should stay exclusive to those years.

  • I originally planned to target the Ascended Banner, but then realized three things: I don't see myself ever using it; DbD will probably issue a global code in a year, handing it out to everyone anyway; and, more importantly, the tasks are boring and way too grindy. That's an issue with "events": it's never clear what is exclusive and never returns, so the motivation and incentive to grind it out aren't there. I remember the anniversary crowns. Back then, it wasn't easy to escape with every Survivor to get their crowns with the way perks worked. And it was a long grind doing every single Survivor and Killer! Then they issued a free code that granted every crown to anyone. What's the point of creating anniversary exclusive events and rewards when you will hand them out later?

  • Another perk to add to the graveyard of useless perks.

  • I agree. It's super boring too. They always return to hook to tunnel.

  • You're right, it does, but in fact it plays like an old game on every platform. Let's hope with next year's graphic overhaul, that every platform gets the max treatment.

  • Yeah same. Painful on console with no kb to type 80 character codes too.

  • Anonymous should only work in the lobby and during the Trial. When The Killer's Perks are revealed, so too should everyone's name. That would resolve the Xbox policy.

Because it isn't a win for the survivor, its a safety valve for the match to end by giving them something to try for instead of just hiding.

There are also scenarios where the survivor does in fact deserve that escape and it wasn't zero effort. I have been the last survivor standing because the killer was completely unable to catch me in chase, my team went down but I didn't. These still regularly turn out in the killers favor since they either slug for the 4k or just find hatch before I do. Before the abandon update that scenario regularly had the killer hump you as if they beat you. Killer ego IS the problem in these scenarios.

Exactly, I love how people always call the Hatch a zero-effort win for Survivors. What about those Trials where the gens are completed by two Survivors, but one gets slugged doing a gate? If the last one gets Hatch, is that a free escape/win? I posted about this very issue over six years ago, and still nothing has been done.

The devs are usually more concerned with The Killer's experience and perspective, which is the issue.

Old post for those interested: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/146093/since-nothing-can-change-the-outcome-is-a-thing-when-can-we-insta-bleed-out-when-slugged

Call me old fashioned but back in my day we would just use our eyes and game sense to track down survivors. We didn't have all these auras or big pulsing red iconography shouting "Hey, over here!", we just looked for them and we found them. We practically have a quest marker system for killers in modern DBD compared to how it used to be.

If this is better than modern distortion then it isn't because it's super strong, it's because modern distortion has been nerfed into uselessness. It doesn't make survivors invisible, it just takes off the aura training wheels for a short time after a killer hooks someone. It's fine as it is.

Killers have it good these days. You can see Generator pistons from a distance and don't even have to waste time patrolling anymore with the aura aura aura and small maps.

  • @LOLitsGhostface said:

10th Anniversary = 30m killer queue time because no new survivor content, no new map, and no balance changes.

I forgot about that; it's gonna be at least 30 minutes. We might see 10x bonus for Survivors.

  • A compass should be added; it would help with call-outs more than anything. Most maps lack distinct landmarks or have only one, maybe two, so it isn't always helpful unless you're right there. A North-only compass would be great, too. If the devs ever did add one, it would be a terrible, limited-use Perk that makes you scream, show your Aura, or get Exposed lol. The devs are terrified of changing things that benefit Survivors.

  • It's been boring, but hopefully the unannounced things are exciting and not another nothing burger. I agree that the 'events' have been basic and boring. I'm tired of 2v8 every few weeks, and I miss the unique events. Why did they get rid of the Chinese New Year event? I loved the lanterns. We don't get a new realm with each Chapter, so do major overlays on existing maps for events. Some maps should have a Halloween overlay; others, a Winter one, etc. And the rewards are lackluster too. Always a badge and banner, rarely really cool ones.
