Compass or Mini-map

Should the game have an in-match compass usable by both roles allowing for easier map navigation? Though I've seen some competitive matches have a static map in the corner that shows the directions, main building, shack locations etc and I wondered if something like this or a simple compass would work if it's accessible to all players. Hell there could even be perks that block the compass/mini-map or ones that reveal additional information on it, might be an interesting addition to the game and it can benefit both sides.

  • not a fan of it personally.

but after a few dozen games you should already gain a sense where things are anyways

  • Could have been an interesting component of the map item/add on rework instead of turning them into Temu Windows of Opportunity

  • i'd rather they make their actual maps not absolute garbage before they do anything like this.

  • A compass would be nice, around most maps I can't do call outs very well.

    Near main/shack is basically it.

Rpd is the one of the only ones i can actually articulate because it's a map that actually has a bit of character and consistent locations.

A compass would be very handy for keeping track of gates or calling out where the killer is.

  • Short answer No.

There are two types of players. The ones that have been playing it long enough to memorize most of the maps layouts.

And the other is the new players. I feel like BHVR wants the new players to feel lost and afraid like a horror game.

That's why a lot of older players say it doesn't feel like a horror game anymore because they've played it so much they no want to expect.

  • A compass should be added; it would help with call-outs more than anything. Most maps lack distinct landmarks or have only one, maybe two, so it isn't always helpful unless you're right there. A North-only compass would be great, too. If the devs ever did add one, it would be a terrible, limited-use Perk that makes you scream, show your Aura, or get Exposed lol. The devs are terrified of changing things that benefit Survivors.
