I don't really escape a lot, so I'd guess.. Around ~10% of mine are escapes, the rest aren't. When it comes to playing as a killer, I do get one or nobody, unless I tunnel or camp.
I'd believe that the kill rates do gotta be around ~60 - 70%, but nothing more or less.

Spirit is most definitely an S-tier killer in the hands of somebody who really knows how to play her. Go watch D3ad play’s videos on spirit. There’s literally no escape.
I have just taken a look at all of them (just by a glance), and he always uses the META perks and from time to time the best add-ons. I wonder, how'd he perform with no add-ons and.. You know, less META perks in his loadout?
I could watch the videos, but I don't really think that it'll be worth it.
There's no way, Spirit can be considered an S tier, even with her best add-ons. No way.

Survivors do take around ~10 - 30 seconds, starting from 1 PM, then slowly increasing up to ~1 - 5 minute at max even during late evenings at 10 PM.
As for the killers, those do take numerous times longer. Since 1 PM, they do slowly decrease, from ~15 - 1 minute(s) during late evenings.
If I were to try and play as a survivor during late evening, I'd have to wait a bit longer than for a match as a killer. Do note, I do encounter SWF premades 24/7 during such times, as that's when people started queuning in full SWF premades. The time zone in my case is UTC+2, Europe.
So, basically.. You're gonna wait for years to play as a killer in case of encountering Solo Queue survivors, but not for so long in cases of encountering SWF premades.

I have, yet, to see players running Lightweight.. It's like I'm the only one using this perk.

Something that I really hate and I don't know if it's a bug or intended, is that unphasing consumes a bunch of the phasing gouge
That's not a bug, that's intended.. and if it is.. She was bugged for years.
-
She currently jumps in-between B+ - A+, but she's not S killer by any means, even if you use Mother-Daughter Ring and Yakuyoke Amulet or other add-ons alike.
Sorry, but fifteen seconds of ~110%? There's no way, that's fitting S tier anymore. Without add-ons, I'd put her to B- or B+, map dependable. Certain maps, like the Eyrie of Crows, for example, do screw her over the most - You can't hear footsteps in this sand, you do rely on scratch marks or breathing only, which requires you to get within ~2 - 6 meters within a running survivor.. For me, I do need those two meters as a bit handicapped player (I'm half deaf).
The directional phase walk was a real overkill, the real deal. She was probably nerfed the most outta all of the killers available in game at the current moment - I do count five or six times in total. She was really deadly upon her release (power did take around ten seconds to recharge without add-ons, phase walk was global, she've had a hitbox colision (you could be bodyblocking pallets even while phasing, kinda like Wraith does bodyblock windows to ensure free hits), her phase walk movement speed was nearly the same as with Mother-Daughter Ring, the time to activate phase walk took less than one and half of a second, and you could've started to phase walk without having a fully recharged power bar).
I do play her without add-ons for years, I have never really felt like she needed them, until the recent directional phase walk nerf. Yup, she's now even more add-on dependable (she was always in order to catch up with #Top X high MMR SWF with VOIP).
I'd even argue that Blight isn't S tier aswell. There's no way, Blight can match up to Nurse. Even with the best add-ons, Blight will get A+ in the best case scenario, just like Spirit could.
What makes her such a high tier is that she's one of the killers, who're the least map dependable. I'll skip Eyrie of Crows this time, but that's literally the only map that hurts her so much. She can adapt to the rest of the maps quite well, as she's easy to control, unlike Hillbilly or Blight in certain maps.

At least everyone else, you genuinely have a chance to try and counter yourself lol.
That's not really a hate or negativism towards his power, but towards the gameplay of a player, though.. Isn't it? I mean, Anna and her hatchets do make for quite effective camping aswell, including Lisa's phantasm traps, and so on..
-
That's hard to tell - I don't like the sound and knowing that my character keeps vomiting when it comes to Adiris. It's gross, yuck! There's also Ji-Woon with his blades; Basically, if I don't have an exhaustion perk, I'm dead unless the map is the Gideon's Meatplant or a map with lotsa walls, so throwing blades isn't an option for him, which is almost never the case.. It's kinda like meeting Bubba's chainsaw in the open field.
I think, I'll go with Adiris due to my experiences regarding matchmaking; Whenever I use my healing loadout (Self-Care, Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures), I get Adiris. Yup, so I have three perks that I can't use for the entire match. That's not good at all. And, also because .. Ughh, it's gross.
**I completely forgot about Ghostface. You do see Ghostface, but the game believes that he's hidden. That's just.. Yikes. Luckily, he's not that popular..
-
Right now, even Call of Brine performs better in the long run, so the perk shouldn't be Hex anymore.
I think, the perk would be better if it were passive with a ~60 second cooldown or something around those numbers after getting a hook. You know, it'd be strong, but weak if the killer gets to perform better. Basically, it'd serve as a tool to assist the killers when they're havin' a bad day.
Another interesting thought to me was that it could still stay Hex, but working a bit differently; If the Hex totem gets blessed or cleansed, a random Dull totem (if there are any remaining Dull or blessed totems - Yes, it'd „overwrite blessed totems, but it shall prioritize Dull totems to avoid the unnecessary confusion and rage from the majority of the playerbase) will become Hex totem upon getting a total of ~3/4/5 hooks. Of course, we don't have to focus on downing or hooking, it could as well be just injuring, but in that case, the amount of required injuries for the Dull totem to become a Hex totem has to be increased to, at least, 6/8/10 or something alike.
Oh, well.. I guess, I can only dream about such changes..

I didn't ask for it sooo...?
I'm just not a fan of characters being sexulized I hated when fan art dud that as well and now seeing the Devs on board with it just make this game a sexual fantasy
The World doesn't revolve around you, the game's here because the majority of players have shared such an opinion.
The characters aren't being sexulized, or I don't understand the meaning of such a word.
Sure, there are two characters where sex has been obviously present, but so what? Most people do care about the story, about characters' personalities and interactions with each other, not about the content for 18+ audiences.
The game got popular, players have gotten attached to the characters based on their designs, so they've asked for something more. It could've been a bigger Project with even more characters, if the team would've been bigger, but it's quite fine the way it is.
If you do question visual novels, what's your take on books? There's literally no difference, besides books requiring to use your imagination numerous times more than in visual novels and visual novels containing artworks or voice lines (no need to use your imagination for those). It's easier to get the „entire picture“, it's easier to understand of just how has the author meant it all.
-
In low to mid MMR, it's with Anna and her hatchets. Survivors there do pre-drop pallets, don't play Tom & Jerry until the very last second (you know, the classy running in circles until it's time to drop the pallet, then wait for the killer to break that pallet and move to the next pallet and repeat the entire process), but the moment there's SWF, I do gotta go with Rin.
Nothing brings me more joy than playing with a character I've grown attached to, regardless of the effectivity. The character's design is pretty important aswell, but it doesn't completely cut it - I need a character, whose personality I can see inside of myself.
As long as the character have had to go through the same or nearly the same experiences in their life as I've had to or do share pretty much the same point of view that I can relate to, that's the character I pick. Of course, it can be both at the same time, but it doesn't have to be.
Oh, and another reason is because I'm quite into asians and their culture, especially to Japan and South Koreans.
-
Underworld Chapter
Survivor: Selene
Killer: William Corvinus (Werewolf)
Map: Ördögház („Coven“ - Vampires' mansion)
-
I'm quite a loyal person, so I'll go with Rin Yamaoka, despite all the nerfs she have had to endure. It's not ideal, but I do like her and do refuse to leave her be, even though I'd have clearly performed better with Anna (I've been havin a blast with her and her hatchets lately..).
Although I'm half deaf, I do still enjoy playing with Rin the most, but the queue times do really hurt.. It's simply not possible to play more than five matches per a day, unless I were to stay up late or be willing to wait more than five minutes for a match, which is literally a match in-between.
So, I do stick to survivors almost 24/7 - To Yun-Jin more often than to Feng, although it used to be the other way around.. Once Mikaela gets her outfit and becomes the Ice Queen, I may change my mind.. But I do kinda doubt that, as I do feel drawn to Yun-Jin's screams. Yup, a part of my personality is speaking, known as sadistic.

It's always a Meg...
That, or it's Claudette.
I do, sometimes, try to take the hit when somebody's getting tunneled off the hook, but if that doesn't stop the killer, it becomes a slugging festival. Yup, whenever a survivor is tunneled while being on death hook next time, I do throw myself at the killer, regardless of the outcome.. Unless I'm already on death hook aswell. Thing is, this doesn't work most of the time and even if I take those two hits in a row, that survivor just.. Screws it up, regardless - Yes, I have extended the chase by.. ~10 - 15 seconds? That's nothing, as it means only two survivors working on the generators in the meantime, and only one survivor working on the generators later on.. While somebody has to rescue me.
So, I dunno.. It's kinda hard and debatable, heavily situation dependable.
-
@IH8ThePatch said:
Not about adulterating killer rates.
When we get hooked, 99% of killers camp.
We cannot get rescued so we 'opt out' (especially if early on, as no gens are being done).
If killers did not camp, then we would wait for a rescue and actually play.
Camping = kills points; kills the game.
Camping does ruin the match for the hooked player, but.. Are you sure, this is the right way?
The rest of the team could've actually escaped the match if you wouldn't have had such a selfish approach to the matter at hand and struggled until the very last second, you know?
The only time I can accept killing yourself on hook as a normal behavior, not as a griefing behavior, is when every single survivor is in dying state (slugged), hooked, or in an attempt to give the last survivor alive that little chance of Hatch escape.
People have been complaining about the behavior that you're promoting for years, yet, you're still at it? Just.. Yikes. I do hope, you don't live in Europe, I sure wouldn't wanna play with players with such a behavior, that they do give up whenever things aren't going their way; Getting bored or losing.. That's irrelevant, the result is still the same - Screwing the other three or less players over, sometimes even the killer, as it's really not fun to play as a killer when everybody just gives up early.. At that point, even playing with bots would've been better, as those don't give up and don't give the killer a guaranteed victory, although their looping skills are or were quite questionable the last time we've had an option to check them out (during tutorial).
-
I do usually hop-in for a match or two, and then get bored. Yup, that's somewhat of a burnout, but not completely.
I get myself to discussions on Steam everyday, read a visual novel, play some Rocket League, then some CS:GO (until a cheater appears, that's when I quit the game for that day). Then, I do try some Valorant aswell or get to WoT Blitz for a while.
Naturally, there're also other games like Arknights, Tekken 7, or Othercide.
The matches in Dead by Daylight do feel one sided - Usually in favour of the killer, and each mistake seems numerous times more punishable on the survivor side (ever since the last Patch when Bloodlust got buffed, attack and miss recovery got faster, and vaulting with breaking pallets got faster aswell, it doesn't really feel like I can actually make it to the next loop after taking one hit whenever playing as a survivor.
**Dead by Daylight's visual novel just got released, so I'm adding that to the list of played games, and the same goes for Love, Money, and Rock'n'Roll; Reading sounds more fun than playing Dead by Daylight at the current moment, but I can't tell that a few matches everyday are good for a little change of pace..
-
The developers have claimed that players do run it for its aura reading and not for the bloodpoint bonus, even though thousands after thousands of players have been literally proving them otherwise by telling them so during their livestreams, on official forum here, on Steam, and possibly even somewhere else..
However, they've still, apparently, felt that people have been lying or making it up.
They've proven in the past that they're lying or contradicting themselves, so this was to be expected; What got me the most was that people have been actually in agreement with the loss of WGLF's and BBQ's main effects (BP bonus) in exchange for prestiging without losing any offerings, items, and add-ons.. Even though numerous people have been repeatedly telling them that it'd only increase the grind to the next level. No, they didn't budge at all.
I feel like the developers are at a loss of what to do.
On one side, there're players claiming they do use it for BP, on the other side, people aren't claiming anything, but that they'd gladly „give those perks away“ in exchange of the prestige reworks.. Even though it increases the grind.
-
Honestly, just make a band-aid fix by allowing Tenacity or Unbreakable to allow you to revive yourself, if there are only two survivors alive or when all four survivors are alive and downed.
Two survivors being the condition, it couldn't be exploited by SWF premade, right? It'd force the killer to hook the survivor, unless the killer would decide to down the other survivor instead. The same argument would be and can be applied when all four survivors are slugged.
What's more, the killers would see survivors use different perks with this change, and it'd make this slugging META „playable“. Sure, the killer won't probably get the 4K, but who cares? Do you even play games for fun, if you do wanna 4K that badly?

and yes play as you like im not saying anything about it, and even i tend to sacrifice myself so other get hatch, which sometimes works and most of the time i think about my life choices lol
Points do not mean anything. I've been tunneled to death at five generators so many times, yet, I have almost always managed to get each chase to last a little over .. ~30 seconds while trying to somewhat save some pallets for my team mates. In such cases, I've been sacrificed with.. ~10k points at most? Yet, you couldn't claim that I haven't done anything, especially if that option was solely removed from me by being in the chase for the entire duration I've been in the match.
It may be worth to try to dodge the killer's attack while the killer is close, but sometimes.. Ehh, it's just not worth it.

People playing for themselves is one of the reasons solo q is miserable.
There are still some people, who're like the angels though.
Solo Queue is only miserable if you treat it that way - If all Solo Queue players would've changed their mentality and started to focus on playing as a team, the state would've been greatly improved; Thing is, it takes some effort with no guarantee of it being worth the time and energy, so literally nobody's trying so.
I don't understand, why do people believe that others are supposed to submit to their will - I mean, isn't it more than just a little bit obvious, that you should look in the mirror before judging other people? Now, don't take it personally, it wasn't mean that way.

he threw the game for the other survivors because he just wanted attention and was useless the whole game
That's your assumption, but could you actually prove it? People do make mistakes.
I gotta say, you're partly right about Self-Care, but partly wrong. It takes years to move from one side of the map to another and heal together. Yes, it's faster in general, but when you add the time you'd be running and exposing yourself to the killer just to get healed.. No, that's not really worth it. Now, I'm against running Self-Care alone - Do combine it with Botany Knowledge or just boon a totem to heal yourself up, but that's it.
I've used to heal myself up with Self-Care and Botany Knowledge, but I've kinda switched to Iron Will and Resilience combo with Lightweight or Prove Thyself, just so we could get a generator or two done before the killer takes us all out. Sure, I've been surviving around ~33% more often, but I haven't really provided any help to my team mates, besides healing them up fast enough.
Regardless, I'm gonna keep playing the way I am; Yes, I'll keep sacrificing myself for my team mates even though I do almost never get the favour returned.. That's just the way I play for years and do enjoy playing.
-
Legion doesn't have to be reworked, deep wounds have to.
If it were up to me, I'd make it so deep wounds don't result in getting downed in case of refusing to mend, but resulting in giving away your positions (loud notifications, each .. ~15 seconds +-?). Afterall, Legion are basically killers, who do rely on the informations they do receive from stabbing survivors.
This way, survivors would be able to interact with the game, killers would know where to go 24/7, and games wouldn't be taking so long..
What are your thoughts about that? Sure, it'd be a massive nerf towards the killer in particular, but there's also Plague, who can prolong the game by quite a lot, so.. It wouldn't be such a loss for the playerbase.
-
@PaintedDeath said:
They didn't, they reduced it.
Although they're reduced it, that's just the first part - Not the final result.
Yes, they've reduced the grind a bit, but they've also heavily decreased the bloodpoint gain. The change is so huge, that you'll barely get over ~33% of a level 50 bloodweb per a match, while it was still possible to get more than one level 50 bloodweb with past WGLF or BBQ.
In the end, this means a heavily increased grind with add-ons, offerings, and items of decreased quality aswell.
-
Tons of survivors were carried by Dead Hard.. Yet, people were screaming „Just wait it out! Bait Dead Hard!“.. Yeah, it wasn't that easy at all, especially while that has resulted in a pallet drop or vaulted window with no other entrances.. At that point, it was a prolonged chase by more than ~20 seconds against average players and even more against SWF premades.
This does show, how much have survivors truly relied on Dead Hard and perks alike.
Other than that.. There's a huge increase of Plagues and Legions.. Sometimes even Nurses, but those are quite rare. You aren't gonna encounter any other killer, unless the killer is a true casual player, who plays for fun and doesn't mind losing a match per a time.. Which is quite rare nowadays, or I'm getting too old already..
You've literally described Solo Queue in a nutshell, to be honest. It was always like this, but not to such a great extent as at the current moment. I guess, ranking up in MMR will grant me serious survivors, who don't DC or suicide on their first hook.. Luckily, hopefully..
-
The bigger or higher grind, the more must each player spend playing the game to achieve the desired progress.
They've felt, like people .. Dunno, don't mind grinding at all? That'd be suitable as a reason for the change. Thing is, people have already complained about the grind, and it got much worse now.
New players will have to put in over three times as many hours to get bloody cosmetics on characters, not to mention to get all the desired perks!
What I don't understand is that people have been praising those changes. They've been happy for the announced changes, so the developers have decided to make them happy.. Somehow, they're unhappy with it now? Are people lazy to think nowadays, are they trying to troll the developers, or what?
There were numerous threads about it, and over 80% of responses were praising the upcoming changes (the Prestige Patch, which is already live), whereas only around one outta ten players have been complaining and claiming that it'd furthermore increase the grind.
I am happy that I don't get to lose items, add-ons, and offerings.. But as someone, who never uses them because they do cause balance issues (applies to Toolboxes and Realm offerings especially), this Patch was certainly not for me.
Give me the option to pay.. ~50 - 100 - 150k Bloodpoints per each tier of the desired perk.. But don't force me to go through all the useless items, add-ons, and offerings! I don't use them, why can't I, at least, sell them for half of what I've spent for them?!
Sometimes, you just wonder what could've been going on inside their heads while they were thinking about the next updates.. 😴

go next, that's why. no point in wasting time in a match where you're not having fun.
So, you're gonna give up and ruin the match to other players?
Please, just tell me that you don't live in Europe, so I wouldn't play with players with the same mindset as yours.
My point being, you're not always gonna have fun; The moment you do queue up as a survivor, especially applies for Solo Queue, you do accept the fact that you're very likely gonna encounter Legion or Plague with Thanatophobia, Eruption, Overcharge, Call of Brine, and Dying Light. The moment you're expecting something else than this, your expectations are above the average and you're only making excuses.
Like, so what? If you're not having fun, don't play the game where and when you may possibly not be having any fun. Stop with those double-standards when and where other people are supposed to obey you and please you whenever you're not having your day.

? The maps have continuously been reworked in favour of killer, it doesn't seem like you were here for that. They were made smaller, infinites were removed, and pallet/window spawns were reduced in MOST maps.
See, and that's what I'd agree with, but not what I've meant with term proper balancement.
Some maps do still favour a lot of survivor sided tiles and vice-versa. Examples are Badham Preschool, Léry's Memorial Institute, Shelter Woods, etcetera.

Ironically, a lot of killers would generally prefer to have bloodlust removed.
But even with these direct buffs to chase, I'm not having games with killers that want to participate in a chase that immediately won't result in a down. Killers have been directly disengaging from chases to instead challenge the survivors who are doing generators, and it's leading to completely boring and 1-dimensional gameplay.
Bloodlust removal, however, would be requiring a proper map balancement.. Something, that'd force devs to hire one of the best players or to play the game on themselves, which ain't gonna happen anytime soon. You can't balance the game around newbies, afterall..

How it would help swf when they already can communicate if killers is camping and who goes for save. It could hepl slightly but would not make real difference. Killers ofcourse should get basekit BBQ to balance this that soloQ can now know if they camp so that would encourage going for chase.
It'd save them those few seconds that can determine, whether the chased survivor can make it to the pallet or another window to prolong the chase in-progress by additional.. Five, maybe even fifteen seconds? Dependable on the commited mistakes, and that's already around ~20% of three different generators. That's like half of a chase.

I don't think basekit kindred would help you to be saved by 3 swf, tbh. If they can communicate, they can coordinate your save without the perk. In 99% of cases it's not a lack of information that makes you die on hook, it's their conscious decision.
That's juust wrong. That's not how it works.
You do die on the hook due to the lack of informations - In cases Kindred ain't present, everybody assumes that somebody is already running to unhook you, and that means, nobody is coming to rescue you. Everybody expects the same from each other, yet nobody's willing to take the first move, as it may result in getting exposed to the killer.
You don't play Solo Queue as a survivor with Kindred, do you?

As I have been put with 3 swf before and me solo player and been left on the hook. So yes I agree they shouldn't get the buff but only when it's you on the hook if that makes sense.
Yes, I do understand what do you mean, but such is the base effect of Kindred, afterall;
„While you are hooked, the auras of all survivors are revealed to one another.“

Sorry am I seeing you complaining of something that worked the exact same way before the patch existed but got buffed a whopping 2 percent and only works good on legion and plague?
Talk about survivor onslaught of fake accounts pretending to be killer mains creating mass hysteria.
It's not just about Thanatophobia and generators requiring more time to be repaired even without Thanatophobia; It's mostly about how much the survivors were carried by Dead Hard. This cuts off each chase by ~5 - 50 seconds, dependable on the map's RNG and the amount of commited mistakes.
For example.. You got to use Dead Hard to avoid a bear trap, which was supposed to block the entrance to the most powerful looping tile in the map? That's easily twenty seconds with just one health state with your M1 killer, and I'm not even including the time it takes to break the pallets, vault the windows repeatedly until the Entity blocks them.
Now, add those .. Twenty seconds to each chase, and see the result. That's over two minutes, yet barely enough to get three generators done in Solo Queue. Solo Queue will need another minute to get three generators outta the way, and that's under the assumption that they're all at average level (know how every single perk works, can constantly hit Great skill checks, but may not rememeber all the RNG possible spots of pallets and windows alike).
I have no clue, if you're just pretending to be blind or you're not even aware of that, but you're so wrong and off that I do strongly doubt, it's worth to discuss those things with you, unless you do decide to accept the facts as they are. Now, this may be caused by the lack of free time that you don't play Solo Queue as a survivor or whatever, but that's not good enough to back you up here, I'd say.

Alright, but being a game for adults has stopped screeching kids exactly 0 times.
I'm with you here.
The moment the game is 18+, it does attract even more people below eighteen. What's more, PvP games were always full of immature behavior.. Unfortunately. You're even gonna get stalkers nowadays, but you can't do anything about it besides ignoring it..
Kids are there even now, and .. Well, you'd just play by muting them in-game or by selecting an option to mute them all. That sounds quite simple to me.
-
If they make it into the base kit, it'll save SWF premades quite some time, and that's what shouldn't happen - They're being the power role for years, even though the killer is supposed to be dominating..
I'm not sayin' that it's a bad suggestion, I'm just sayin' that if they get to add Kindred into survivors' base kit, it should only work for survivors, who're not queueing together - For solo queue survivors, while SWF survivors wouldn't get to receive Kindred as a base kit. However, knowing BHVR's history of bugs and glitches, I do strongly doubt that they could manage to even get Kindred into base kit at all.

I'm currently going with Renewal + We'll Make It combo to skip healing or Self-Care + Botany Knowledge in case I do fail to be the one to unhook.
Although the quality of killers has somewhat decreased, the situations when I've been hardcore tunneled even at five generators up have greatly increased aswell. Like, I don't even know what to do..
Other survivors do know that I have We'll Make It, but they do still wanna be the ones to unhook and screw us over, because by the time we both heal the unhooked survivor, the killer's back.. Yup, and focused on the unhooked survivor. Even throwing all three of us (the other survivor runs there too in the end) isn't enough to convince him or her to switch the targets.
As for camping, most killers have been going back'n'forth in around twenty meter proximity 24/7, refusing to leave the area and let us unhook. That's fine and all, but it's not fine when the entire team throws themselves at the hook. As if it wasn't enough, the hooked survivor gives up early, once again screwing us all over.
Although the kill rates in matches that I do play are at above 75%, I have never expected that such an overwhelming majority of players were carried by Dead Hard so much! Just like you, I have never bothered with it and were running Self-Care and Botany Knowledge combo with WGLF and Kindred. That's what I've wanted to mention too.. Kindred. Why the hawk nobody uses Kindred in Solo Queue?!..
Besides extreme tunneling and proxy camping, there's almost nothing new on my side, like the sudden increase in Thanatophobia (80%+), We'll Make It (around 33% more frequently used), Prove Thyself (50 - 75% usage) and players giving up early just because they do happen to get tunneled. Also, why'd you even tunnel at five or four generators? I have stopped encountering Anna and her hatchets, but face the Legion and Plague pretty much 24/7.. If not, it's between the Nurse and Amanda.. Nothing else, no variety whatsoever. I don't even face Billy with chainsaws or basement trappers anymore.
I do strongly doubt that I can make other players to focus more on the generators than on blessing totems while bein' healthy, as well as to stop the killers, who're already dominating with over a 5-hook streak per a completed generator, but what am I supposed to do, besides manually looking for SWF premade at this point? This feels like a dead end.. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not even having fun with such a hardcore tunneling, it's as if there was a Tournament or something! To get back to the main menu with less than ~4k score, getting farmed, having players purposefully screwing over each other.. Just, yikes.
As for the killer queues, I haven't bothered with it yet, the queues were really long to force me to give up on playin' the other side.. But I do doubt, there'll be such a big difference, unless I put certain killers and perks to use, like Susie with Thanatophobia, Adiris with Thanatophobia, or tunnel really hard, as if my life would've been dependable on it.

I do absolutely love Kate's and Mikaela's dresses! But on the other hand, there's Yun-Jin with a, finally, plaid skirt!
Kate's make-up seems kinda messed up, if you ask me, and those .. How do you even call them in English? I'll just say shoes.. Are weird and completely cringe. Nothing that I'd have liked, but on the other hand.. If they do get to make as soft sounds as they are, it may be worth it..
Mikaela's design kinda makes her look like the ice queen, doesn't it? Just beautiful.. She even has a little armor on her left hand, which kinda reminds me of Celeste from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.
Damn this is really hard.. I mean, Yun-Jin's Seoul Socialite dress is beautiful and all, but I don't like the used make-up.. Besides this, Yun-Jin also has Fire Moon Mourner with a balanced make-up, while I don't like the heels she wears..
What the hell.. I don't know what to do!! 😖
In the end.. I'm gonna go with A.. But I'm really disappointed that I couldn't have included Yun-Jin's outfit there aswell. When I've put my vote, it was 68/31.

Survivors ran WGLF? 😯
Yes.. Well, I was. To my surprise, most of the players I've played with have had the META perks exclusively, even ignoring Kindred for Solo Queue, which is crazy. I was the only one to run WGLF in Solo Queue, but the increase of WGLF has increased in SWF as I've noticed when playing as a killer.
-
So far, I have touched only Feng since the Patch came out, and it seems that every survivor has different expressions now. That's a nice change, but most of them do look really cringe and totally unrealistic.. I mean, Feng's supposed to be calm and collected - That's what the descriptions do tell us about her, yet, she looks really terrified in-game. 🤣
Anyway, I am glad that the survivors do finally open their mouth whenever they do make a sound. I do recall getting hooked, but Yun-Jin was screaming with her mouth closed, and the same goes for Feng and other survivors that I've touched, like Alessa, Yui, Nea, and Kate.
-
BHVR and players, who do play as a survivor exclusively were convinced that players do use those perks, mainly BBQ, for their effects and not for the bonus bloodpoints.. Even though the overwhelming majority of the community has been literally telling them so for years.
My guess is, they have wanted an excuse to keep players playing the game more frequently.. Resulting in higher money incomes.

The maps have been reworked in a way that you can usually see through walls and to the next part of the tile, so mind games aren't even necessary.
Besides that, you can only mind game with a M1 killer, with a killer of movement speed of ~115%. Those are the weakest killers, and as has been mentioned before, the risk isn't worth it. It's much better to slap on Enduring and Bamboozle to force pallet drop and move onto another tile, until survivors become completely defenseless.. If you can make it in time, they're not gonna survive.
I've been playing mostly with Anna and Rin, and those don't mind game - Anna is too slow for that, and you do always get notified when I wind up a hatchet - Be it the sound cue when fully charged, the awful hitboxes (mostly screws me over than the survivors, to be honest), or the sound cue whenever she winds up a hatchet.
As for Rin, there's a directional audio cue, so.. All I can do is hope that the survivor is staying at the loop and running around like crazy. If not, I'm losing over ten meters in a distance and gotta travel the entire distance with ~110%, which means furthermore ~30 seconds of a chase in the best case scenario, which is equal to three generators being done by the time I'm done with this single hook. Yeah, I'm not gonna burn in add-ons and rely on them, thank you for the offer.
So.. The reason is, because most killers have been nerfed. Heavily. The survivors have been given lots of sound notifications, like, far too many for a healthy gameplay.
I do play both sides equally, but even I don't mind game as a survivor, it's not worth the risk. If I don't drop the pallet, I'm taking the hit, and if I'm not taking the hit, killer is there to bamboozle the only one window, forcing me to change a tile with pallet drop - This will force the killer to move around instead of going in a straight line, and I'm probably eating that hit..
-
Crap, I've messed up big time.. I've prestiged around ten survivor and killer characters, each with all seven pages of perks, just so I'd get the P3 once the patch gets live.
I mean, I wasn't aware of that the levels will grant me a prestige level in the future, I was only aware of the prestige counts.
R.I.P. around ~12 mil. bloodpoints and Event items, like anniversary toolboxes and firecrackers from 2018. 😭
-
I do agree that the idea of keeping add-ons, items, perks, and offerings after prestiging is nicely done and shall be properly implemented. Once it hits live, this is where the prestige update shines and probably even blinds most of the community with how good it is.
However, the reality is somewhat harsh, just like always - The grind, in total, isn't reduced, but increased!
Once BBQ and WGLF stop giving us bonus bloodpoints, we'll be sitting in-between 8 - 20k bloodpoints per a match as survivors and in-between 12 - 33k bloodpoints as killers.
So, for those who were and have prestiged the characters - Good news. For the rest of the community, it's like a middle finger.
Each bloodweb at levels 40+ costs you around 90k or more, if you cherrypick your desired rare stuff, resulting in around ~8 required matches to get it. Back then (right now, when the update isn't live, yet), this was requiring less than three matches, if you've had four Tokens for BBQ or WGLF! Now, compare the required time to get it, and see the result.
The required amount of bloodpoints is heavily decreased; I do strongly agree with that.
At the same time, however, the amount of earned bloodpoints is even more heavily decreased, and that's the consequence.
New players are gonna be screwed over just because they're new, and only the veterans with P3 characters are gonna benefit from this update. The rest is doomed, period.
Overall, this change brings more negatives than positives. Say goodbye to getting over 300k per a match during the Events while Bloodhunts are active. This will no longer be a thing.

There is no bug - Infinite loading screen isn't present!
All you're guys describing is an issue, but completely different!
Whenever the game takes so long to load-in, it does mean, some impatient player has used task manager to end the Dead by Daylight; Because the game client, or game itself, does take forever to acknowledge that, you, along with all the other players in the lobby, who haven't, yet, used the task manager, are going to wait for additional X seconds (it can be minutes, it can be just five seconds), until the game acknowledges that.
However, because people are so impatient, whenever does it, the others follow; And, so the waiting time is only to be prolonged for the rest of the players in the lobby (who're still seeing the game's loading screen, by the way).
If you weren't so impatient and didn't close the game via task manager everytime it doesn't load within ~1 second, this issue wouldn't even begun to exist! You've brought this upon yourselves, and upon the other innocent people, just because you're impatient.
That's quite selfish, isn't it?
As for the few videos people have posted here, I've copied their URL addresses, and will share them here again;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbvdeURXiiUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgmhqWXpQHE
Do note, this isn't how the infinite loading screen bug look like, right?
I mean, the infinite loading screen bug was causing players' game to freeze, while, as we can see in both of those videos, the game is still running and isn't frozen!
Like I've said, it's taking forever to acknowledge those disconnections via task manager(s).
So, people; Just don't shut down the game through task manager! The argument of not having all day is fair and all, but by doing the same, you're only prolonging the waiting time for the rest of the players in the loading screen...
However, if the game crashes to somebody (overheating GPU, CPU, etc..), then that's just a bad luck - This does happen from time to time, especially to the PS4, Xbox, and Microsoft Store users (players with Globe).
In such cases, there's nothing you can do, but to deal with it and move on ASAP, so you won't dwell on the past and bother yourself about it.
-
Gooooot it too!
But, the most important new is, the Developers are aware of that, so we may expect a delay, regarding the new Chapter.
Hopefully, it'll get fixed ASAP. 😎
-
Everything takes skill. If it doesn't require any skill, the player is doing it automatically without even thinking about it, which, as we all know, is impossible. Such a job is possible only for programmed AI's.
-
Umm.. I can't say, I can relate to that.
Regardless of what you, as a survivor do, I'll get to my objective. Naturally, some free Hatch escapes are a must, if I see the survivors struggling a lot, or if a challenge I need to do is in progress.

As we all know, she's balanced, when it comes to casual SWF groups with voice communications, even in case of Hex Perks, Prayer Beads Bracelet Add-on, (...).
I'd, personally, welcome a lot a complete rework of the Prayer Beads Bracelet Add-on, so that we'll have a better version of Dried Cherry Blossom Add-on. There is no Add-on, that has the same effects as this one. I want Prayer Beads Bracelet to have the same effects as Dried Cherry Blossom, to be moved into Ultra Rare rarity or quality, to stack with Dried Cherry Blossom or that Bonsai, but to increase those bonuses - So, to MODERATELY increases the frequency of passive phasing, and to MODERATELY increases the passive phasing duration.
Other than that, nothing else should be changed. Not even a thing.
But, knowing BHVR... They're unable to fix Add-ons only, they have to rework the Killers completely - As a proof, we got the current F. J. S. J. - Instead of fixing the mending bug, they've straight-changed this Killer completely, and made him / her even worse than our MacMillan. Then, we got our Sally, AKA Nurse; ''We're gonna completely rework the Add-ons.'' - And, guess what. The Add-ons were reworked, but her Power was reworked too, even though, they haven't mentioned a thing about it.
As I've been mentioning over and over, if Yamaoka is gonna get the same treatment as Sally, or F. J. S. J., then there would be no reason to play as a Killer for me.
I'd then turn into a Survivor main, using only the best Toolboxes - The Bloodpoints would be farmed by camping every single Survivor that ever gets Hooked by my Bubba. It's not like that I'm threating you all, but just giving you the informations on what to expect from me, if Yamaoka gets... gets BHVRed.

I’m not sure but I think they should bring back phasing sound when in a chase. It shouldn’t be be directional though. That way there are still mindgames involved but no longer have to deal with if the spirit is just standing there. I feel like then it would be more fair.
I'd definitely be OK and agreed with you, but hey, we're probably or most likely in the minority, so, I doubt, such change will ever happen.
-
Prayer Beads Bracelet is the only problematic thing about The Spirit. The rest, everything - That includes the colissions, vaults over windows, grabbing animations (except of the bugged ones, and yet, not fixed ones), destroying Pallet or damaging Generators... Her husk, her statue during Yamaoka's Haunting, it's all fine.
That one Add-on should definitely have an Ultra Rare rarity, but not swaped with the Father's Glasses.
The Father's Glasses Add-on should be of a Rare or Uncommon rarity, as long as the Dried Cherry Blossom isn't of a Rare rarity, instead of a Very Rare rarity.
That being mentioned, she may have some Uncommon and Common Add-ons, causing her to appear a bit later after a window vault, after destroying a Pallet, damaging a Generator, (...).
Prayer Beads Bracelet should have the Ultra Rare rarity, if it's not going to change...
But, if it's about to change, then its rarity should stay the same, in my suggestion, that it'd cause screaming to not be directional.

Maybe not a burn, but rather being able to see her outline during phasing if you catch her in the beam? Gives you knowledge, doesn't ruin the power.
I'd be up for this suggestion.
However, since the M1 Killers are still in the same state as before, I don't believe, the only viable Killers should be receiving some heavy or huge nerf, until the M1 Killers would be buffed, to at least, Billy Junior's level.
For example, MacMillan could receive a X % Haste status effect for placing a trap, there may be an Add-on, that causes Broken status effect - Not the Mangled, but Broken, (...).
There are so many possible ways, but nothing is happening... Which is, truly a shame.
Not that it'd make the game more fun for the Killers, but for Survivors too - They'll be finally able to play against different Killers than just against Rin, Sally, Lisa, or Billy Junior.
...Touché.
