  • SWF is only fair if nobody uses VOIP; The moment players do communicate via third party programs, it's clearly cheating, and I'd be willing to compare it to wall hacking. The game was clearly meant to be built around the lack of communication -> The developers have even clearly stated so in their first few Developers' vlogs on YouTube, in case you're interested.

Unfortunately, from the business perspective, banning around ~30% of the entire playerbase just because they're cheating is kinda.. Off, wouldn't you agree? So, they're not gonna ban players for cheating in this way, and will probably never do that. As long as VOIP is OK, SWF will always be better than the killer, since over ~80% of the match is based around informations rather than on the individual skill of each player (be it knowing when to attack, when to use Dead Hard, where to place traps, how to hide red stain, etcetera...).

Solo Queue is fine on its own in mid to high MMR; The issue are the players giving up early or tunneling killers. Camping would've been fine, but players do keep feeding camping killers, so.. I do understand going for a trade-off just to ensure that three survivors will be doing generators and only one get hooked, repeatable up to three times in total; But, who's gonna take this risk and sacrifice himself or herself for the team?

That's right, nobody, and that's the issue. The way people do treat each other and each match is the reason, why Solo Queue suffers so much in comparison with SWF or the other role in general.

Same thing happened with yun-jin she was very popular for a while then people switched

I'm not so sure about that; I do encounter quite a lot Yun-Jins, but most players do use the default cosmetics for them, while I'm the only one using her bright dress from Seoul. Oh, well.. At least I feel a bit special. 😎

  • I've wanted Alien Chapter back in the day, but then I've found certain videos and YouTubers on YouTube carefully explaining the situation, and why we won't be able to get Xenomorph and the legendary Ripley as a Chapter into the game.

It's either too expensive or BHVR won't be able to negotitate the necessary contract with them.

So, I've changed my prefered Chapter to Underworld. You know, that franchise of fantasy action horror movies, featuring quite famous actors and actresses, like Kate Beckinsale, for example. What's more, we could finally get a werewolf into the game - Something that the community has been asking for for years!

Well, unfortunately, I do have some real doubts about them being able to obtain the rights, and even if they were to get the rights, I do doubt that they'd make the survivor Selene (legendary outfit sets being Sonja, Victor, etcetera) and the killer William (legendary outfits with him being chained, etcetera).

Besides that, I have no other Chapter that I'd welcome in Dead by Daylight, to be honest.

Like, I do understand people wanting.. How's it called, Pennywise, or is it Chucky? But, come on. Can't you see, how annoying Vic and Charlotte are? They're one of the most annoying killers to play as and face, yet, you do wanna another clown like Pennywise? Yikes, I just don't get the way people do think sometimes.

  • I'd go with Rin Yamaoka, because her lore was kinda touching, including the expansion or rather explanation in Hooked On You.

Outta all the killers in-game, I've found her to be beautiful, to understand fashion better than anybody else; You don't have any other killer, who'd go and take care of himself or herself, right?

There's also the way she behaves, which was also expanded or explained in Hooked On You. Because this could be seen as a potential spoiler, I'm not gonna talk about it; I shall, however, mention that I've found myself symphatizing with her overall and share nearly the same look, point of view on the World and life in general.

The last reason is because I've been always interested in Japan and its culture; From the origins of their alphabet to their fashion, to their architecture, up to their polite and kind behavior. You don't just get people to bow to you and show so much of a respect towards you even when they don't know you at all in Europe, North America, and other regions and countries there.

I haven't liked what kind of a treatment she has received from BHVR, but I don't care. Even if she gets to be furthermore nerfed, I'll still prefer her over anybody else.

What I dont understand is people trying to sit here and BLATANTLY look someone in the face and say "Just keep trying." In the face of a hopeless situation?

That is the only thing that bothers me, if you KNOW you wont win, there's a three gen going on/ 5 gens left to do, slowdown perks in plays, high mobility killer or a killer that can destroy loops easily, and someone's already on death hook. There's no sudden comeback for that, it's just adopting the go next mentality and move on.

People try to use bloodpoints as a valid argument for Survivors to stick around and give that killer a 5 five while they're leaving with a score below 15K all the time while the killer walks away with 25-30K+ all the time? Why? What selfish pleasure do you get by trying to convince players to just take a hopeless loss gracefully and play as if there ISNT a problem when there clearly is?

Do they look like Luffy to you? Or goku? Usagi from Sailor moon? Do we have some type of plot armor that I'm not understanding? Cause if not, let survivors keep going with the "Go next" mentality and just let it be, no point on playing a match if you KNOW it's pointless.

How about because people do give up early? The players can't properly judge whether a match can still result in one or more of them escaping, the killers do make mistakes too, you know?

If you're not willing to give it your all, then get back to your hideout in SWF and give up there, but don't try that on players whom you don't know! Or, would you really prefer if I'd have outright called you out and made attempts to offend you right-away? This is a team based game on survivor side, you can't just call it off whenever you want to; That's incredibly selfish and ruins the entire match for both sides!

If perks are the reason, then don't play the game, get back to singleplayer games, so you won't ruin them to players, who're not giving up whenever things aren't going their way.

It's not about gameplay or the result, it's about principle. I can't say, I've expected so many people to miss the point.. I sure didn't expect to hit the nail on the head right-away.

So what do you do when you get into a match where 1-3 players are working with the killer to tunnel you? Stay in the match, invite them to a party and teach them how to play better? Do you stay in games where other survivors unhook spam you in front of the killer? Sometimes the fun thst other people are having is the fact that I stay in the game and try to outwit them, but sometimes I don't feel like doing that.

As long as there's, at least, one other survivor who ain't trying to ruin it and actually plays the game as intended, don't give up and do the same. However, the moment everybody is sabotaging each other (it has to be absolutely clear, you do gotta think about it from multiple perspectives), then that's when I'd accept giving up as a valid solution.

  • Oh, my bad.. It's just that I don't use that one at all, so I completely forgot about it.

Thank you for reminding me about it.

  • I haven't seen nor encountered many, to be honest. In a thread dedicated for Rin, I've seen two without including myself.

Okay, but my point was that you have plenty of time to damage people with birds as long as you send only 1 bird to initially swarm them. It takes a little set up and pathing, but it is possible to hit them before they finish repelling. If you send more than 1 bird to initially swarm them, then it is impossible to use a follow up bird, unless they don't start repelling right away or you force them to vault and reset their progress.

It is possible? I can't say I've noticed so.. Unless, like you've mentioned, you do force the survivor to vault a window. If you don't do that, it's impossible to injure or down a survivor via crows.

  • @amazing_grace said:

I think you just aren't using her power correctly. You have plenty of time to hit a survivor with a damaging bird as long as you only sent one bird to swarm them. Especially if you force them into a situation where they either take damage from the bird, force an M1, or force them to reset their repel by making them vault.

And that's my point; The moment you do use M1, you're not using crows to injure or down the survivor. I didn't mention M1 whatsoever, because that's not related to her power anymore.

How hard is it for solos to just bring Kindred every game? Should be a no brainer.

You'd be surprised, but it seems to be one of the most difficult things in the entire game.

I do seem to be the only one, who ever bothers running the perk.

  • @Aurelle said:

Maybe, I don't know. But I'm not keeping my hopes up because even if they do release any new cosmetics for Wesker and the other RE characters, they're more than likely to be sets.

That's right. Each set costs.. ~1475 AC by default, I think? Or is it a bit less? Regardless, that's ~12 - 15€ for one outfit, unless you do spend like a maniac those ~100€ for the highest amount of AC and save.. ~2000 AC at most? Yeah, R.I.P..

  • I've tried recording a bit of a match, and silly two minutes have had ~950 MB of space. Like, sorry, but I'm not gonna waste my time here. What's more, video proof is the requirement to report cheatin', so.. I guess, this is a dead end for me.

Wraith is the only one with 1 outfit, unless you count shirtless as 1. Others have 2 versions. (Trapper with his thong, both Spirit and Huntress without the robe)

No, I'd call shirtless as another version aswell, as BHVR hasn't implemented a feature to optionally take off hats.

That'd require two sets of outfits for each character, besides Dwight and Claudette, right? Oh, let's not forget about Ji-Woon with only one outfit, as he doesn't appear so frequently there. So-so, it's fair, then, but does require a bit of extra work for one with and another one without certain stuff.

Thank you for waking me up!

I'm on PC and if another player is using steam then i can check there steam profile and see how many hours they have, if its any other platform i.e epic or they are on console i can't check it i can only do steam.

And that is, if the user has public profile or publicly visible hours on record; Valve has added a feature to make them hidden. Also, it's not like the majority of players do play with private profiles due to how immature players do play the game nowadays, eh?

People think snipes arent a thing. It was literally the only thing i did when i still played her.

When it comes to sniping, I do tend to refer to Anna's hatchets or Ji-Woon's neon daggers.

I don't like the killer, because the cooldown on her power is far too long, crows don't stay at the same place for long enough to make two laps around the same loop, unless you do use certain add-ons, and because they can't be set to fly off from a bit higher by default; That becomes, especially, problematic in maps like the Gideon's Meatplant, certain buildings in Badham Preschool, and a lot of areas featuring two floors.

What's more, by the time you can launch your second crow after hitting a survivor with it, that survivor has very likely already managed to scare them off, so you're not injuring or downing that survivor.

That, alone, including low mobility puts her into C - B tier in the best case scenario; Heavily map dependable.

It’s not like DbD is known to distribute cosmetics in an even and fair way anyways… (see Meg and Feng compared to Adam and Jeff)

Yes, yes.. But this is, like, a unique example, you know? It's from a game from the very same studio as the developers of the original game.

  • @Nirgendwohin said:

I wonder why you cant scream as survivor to gain aggro from the killer.

Probably because certain individuals would've used it as a tool to sabotage their own team; Solo Queue and the mindset „whenever things aren't going my way, you're gonna pay“ is the best example I can think about.

  • You've just described that the issue is tunneling, regardless of the reason.

  • Wouldn't it be a bit unfair towards the other killers and survivors, if Spirit gets to receive two outfits? One being her full outfit, and the second one being the bikini.

I mean, every single killer seemed to wear only one outfit throughout the entire game.. So far, whereas Rin was the only one with two possible versions of them.

Just like in the survey we've been participating in around a month ago (for December), that just means we're gonna be cut off short, and that the team will make only one version to prevent the community from raging, I guess. 😨

  • Poor players, who're being hooked. We've had players complaining and telling us that they'll kill themselves on hook if being camped, because they do wanna play; The moment people start using this perk, people will DC on purpose more frequently than ever before.

If you stay on the hook for over three minutes, you shall get some bloodpoints; Right now, you're getting none. That's a way to discourage players and make them DC, because who loves being stuck in a match for five minutes without doing anything? Ask yourselves.

Although the perk serves its purpose, SWF and SWF once again ruins the entire game. It's such a shame that the developers are so scared of losing even ~1% of a playerbase and do always respond to them with more and more gifts once they start crying.

  • It's probably MMR dependable; Once you start facing full SWF premades like me, you'll be forced to tunnel, unless the map favors you or you're fine with zero sacrifices and a total of six up to eight hooks in the overwhelming majority of cases.

I don't use generator regression perks, I don't use add-ons, so it's definitely possible to „win“ even without tunneling, but it's pretty much impossible to get 4k constantly, unless you're tunneling.

The most times you encounter her, she'll proxy camp the hook within 16 - 28 meters, always returning back, unless you feed her; And even then, the odds of leaving her prey trapped below the hooked survivor are so high that I wouldn't risk it.

I've faced some player with Spirit around two weeks ago. Apparently, tunneling is fun, or so he has told me in the post-game chat. I don't get such people, to be honest.. They're pretty much always hypocrites anyway.

    @lauraa said:

Most ppl just play Spirit cuz shes easy to pubstomp with though superior numbers thanks to her nutty addons.

Once those addons run out and you cant MDR your way to the BBQ auras, those people are lost because they arent used to her base kit.

And honestly? Basekit Spirit is a very balanced fun and fair killer. Weaker than Basekit Nurse and Blight though which I guess is enough for a lot of ppl to not bother putting the time in to practice looping the Spirit way.

Yes, I'd agree with that; I have, yet, to encounter Rin without add-ons. I'm not asking for a lot, but one match against add-onless Rin without Dried Cherry Blossom and Stridor, but that's not really gonna happen, eh?

BBQ kinda sucks when it comes to Rin, whereas Rancor and Spies From The Shadows are top, as you can't see auras while phasing. I can't wait for Dried Cherry Blossom to get changed back to its old version, to be honest. As somebody who plays add-onless Rin ever since her release, I won't suffer even if all of her add-ons were to be removed from the game, although that's pretty unrealistic..

Exactly, her base kit is B - A, map dependable. For example, you're not gonna perform well in Eyrie of Crows, where and when sand makes for completely silent footsteps, unless you're used to and are using Stridor. I also don't have to practice, as if you can predict their moves, you're good to go; A few matches without perks, add-ons, offerings, and sound on a daily basis shall do the trick.

  • I'd be for the „full version“ of her outfit, to be honest.

Like, it's not a bad idea to improvise, but if they're to match, then they shall not be any different from the ones in Hooked On You.

You're talking to someome who does 5 gens on their own. Just saying. Still... some games are a sinking ship and a waste of time and effort. If the killer is running around with a survivor (whom theyre not attacking) who is pointing every other survivor out, im not going to try harder. Im adaptable and willing to play out some of the worst games, but still... some games you just know where theyre headed. I'm not interested in playing with people who are exploiting the game.

Mmm, such cases are easily understandable. Luckily, they don't happen frequently.

She may be S in your heart, but that's not good enough; She needs to be feared and loved at the same time! She needs to be as powerful as she was right upon her release, so she can be a match for the top SWF premades, including the famous „Depip squad“, if you ask me.

Yeah, a big part of it's just deduction; what's the most likely reason people want out? I'm sure sometimes they have to crap really bad or their pizza rolls are burning or some such thing, but it's not a reach to assume most just want out because things aren't going the way they want them to.

And sure, if one wants to be a total libertarian about it they can just take the "I bought the game I can play how I want, and am not obligated to consider anything but own enjoyment" stance (and that's their right), but I personally feel like when you login to play a multiplayer online game, you're tacitly agreeing to a sort of social contract to do have at least a shred of consideration for each other, and do the bare minimum.

Especially when you're on a team together.

And if someone want to play with only themselves in mind, I can exercise my right to come online to say that I think they're a selfish dbag and should stick to single payer games.

Mmmm, pretty much. I have already about it previously in this thread, so I don't really have anything to add.. I do respond to quotations, but that's it, I guess.

  • It's a shame, because I've loved this add-on back then. It was quite interesting with increased movement speed (Wakizashi Saya or Play With Your Food, or Juniper Bonsai).

What I mean to say is, I have over ~3000 add-ons with Rin in total, but I don't use them at all.. And most of them are of Rare and Very Rare rarity..

Yeah but thats not the only reason ppl choose to die. After playing this game for so long you can tell what your teams general intentions are fairly quickly. Especially if you can see all of them. Plus when matchmaking puts you with noobs who just hide it can become extremely frustrating. In certain situations I def choose to die asap. Its never bc of which killer or which map though.

Maybe, maybe not; I do usually await some sort of a proof to support my assumption.

I don't like it when my team mates do give up, regardless of the reason. Some are understandable to me, but most of them aren't, including the one you've just mentioned. Even if matchmaking puts you against too experienced killer, just don't give up! Boon totems for your team or hold M1 to repair the generators.. Like, do the least minimum, but don't give up!

I really hope they rework that add on at some point. It does not incentivize interactive gameplay and it’s a lazy excuse for an add on.

It's worthy of bein' called the add-on, but it belongs to the same category as the ranged add-ons for Nurse, including the ones to decrease fatigue from blinks and chain blinks by X%; Basically the sweatiest or META add-ons for the specific killer.

Luckily, Sally's add-ons are gonna get treated, but Rin and her Dried Cherry Blossom isn't..

Certain individuals have been creating threads, mostly on Steam, but here aswell, that they'll DC or kill themselves on the first hook in case of facing XYZ killers.

Most will stick to Dried Cherry Blossom, so actually facing the killer whom I do love so much turns into a silly nightmare; Silly, because getting downed from a killer who relies on add-ons is just not the sort of a gameplay that'd make me respect the player for actually bein' good.

That's a lot of responsibility to put on casual gamers. Not everyone who plays dbd lives inside of dbd.

I wouldn't say so.. The moment you do step outta your comfort zone by getting onto social networks for the first time in your life is no different. This is just a bit expanded responsibility, but nothing too extreme to cause troubles.

Do you interview everyone after every match? You seem to know everyones intentions in dbd.

I don't interview them on my own; They do usually make it clear by or with the way they behave in the post-game chat or during the match.

Just a week ago, I've had a team mate following me, dropping and repeatedly every single pallet on our way while I was getting to another generator just because I've refused to take those twelve seconds to heal him / her.. Yup, we were being dominated; Five hooks in total with only one repaired generator. Under such circumstances, I can't just allow to lose even more time elsewhere.

  • Rin does have an outfit from the collection Greek and Legends? Really?

  • @AngryHobo2 said:

My question about all of this stuff is would suiciding on hook (directly after the match has started/your first down) count as something that violates the Dead by Daylight EULA?

Under the section "Rules of Conduct" all users of the BHVR software are prohibited from a great many number of things that make sense, as well as:

"Interfere with the ability of others to enjoy playing a BHVR Service or take actions that interfere with or materially increase the cost to provide a BHVR Service for the enjoyment of all its users."

I find it hard to argue for the second condition, unless sacrificing yourself puts a greater strain on BHVR's queue system and servers than if you had played out a match. I have zero evidence to back up that theory though so I cannot see it as a violation.

However, leaving the match ASAP once it has started (via sacrificing yourself or DC'ing) most definitely interferes with the ability of others to enjoy playing a BHVR service. Granted, I'm not lawyer or a BHVR staff member so if such behavior actually does breach the agreement of the EULA I don't know that.

Personally I'd just prefer we flag all accounts that DC at the start or die within a minute and a half of the match and then give them their own little queue where they get matched with all of the quitters, but that's just me.

What are your thoughts on this everyone?

That's a good question, we'd probably need someone from staff to answer it for us.

Sacrificing yourself does, kinda, ruin the match to all other four players, if they're still alive, but it definitely doesn't put servers under pressure, does it? Well, maybe just a little, but it shouldn't matter.. Otherwise we'd have been told about that in advance, I guess.

As much as I'd be up for flagging such accounts, we mustn't forget that cheaters and hackers do actually exist; As long as they're present, I'd kinda hesitate when it comes to putting such players with each other.. The consequences may be great and cause a loss of playerbase, afterall.

I don't think you do, as I clarified what I meant as tunneling my friend out and thats when I decide to leave. If I can force the killer to hook me instead, than they are not tunneling.

I am not complaining about tunneling. I simply said if someone tunnels my friend out, I leave the game as well. There was no complaint there.

Well, technically it was inferred as I was doing the things you said "losers" do. So moving away from that and onto your points. I have no reason to prove myself to anyone. Its a game that I already know I am decent at, I am not a god tier killer or survivor, but I am also not hiding in a corner self-caring either. I have nothing to prove to myself or other players. I simply want to play with my friends.

If you re-read my quoted statement, I started off by saying  "I do mostly play killer, so I only really play survivor to play with my friends" So yeah in a way I generally play DBD as a single player game. However, I have friends that like to play this game, I've made them through my games as killer, twitch and discord. Thats why I play SWF... Cause I want to PLAY the game with FRIENDS.

And I do strongly believe, I do.. Or are you claiming, I don't know such a popular term after almost two thousands hours? That's really something..

If you're not complaining about it, why're you runining the match to the other.. Three players?

Yes, technically so, but for that to be an actual harrassment or insult, it'd have to be direct.. Otherwise, you'd be taking it personally - Which'd be the most negative way of how to take it.

Wait, what? If you're decent at the game, then what's the problem? Decent players shall be able to evade killers for, at least, a minute of a chase with a minimal usage of pallets, unless the killer has Bamboozle, of course, or is Nurse, Huntress, and RNG doesn't favour you (in sense of a bad map or bad map's layout). Self-caring in a corner may be a valid move, dependable on the presented case scenario; Since you haven't presented any, you can't just claim that it's a bad move from that player. If you just wanna play with your friends, then get a full SWF - You do ruin the match to other players, is that really okay with you? I'm pretty sure, you wouldn't wanna be literally sabotaged by other survivors, would you?

Yes, that's what you've stated.. That shall also mean, you're better than your average player in terms of looping, but may not be such good when it comes to the other things, but that's off.

If your friends don't mind you giving up early, then that's OK.. And that's the reason, why I've suggested to you numerous times that you should only play in a full SWF with such a mindset; Like, sure.. Do give up whenever you wanna, but don't do that to other players whom you don't know! That's such a direspectful and selfish move... I really don't know, what else comes close to that in this game, besides slugging all four survivors for those four minutes.. But then again, you're playing alone as a killer, so there you have a valid excuse, whereas such a behavior in Solo Queue, Duo or Tripple SWF will always be seen as ruining the match for, at least, that one survivor(s) who wasn't or weren't with you in SWF in the first place.

  • I do understand very well what tunneling means - To get rid of one specific player ASAP, regardless of the cost, right?

Exactly, exactly. You're complaining about tunneling, but you can make it so the killer doesn't or can't tunnel; In that case, why're you complaining instead of playing around it?

In the response you've quoted, I haven't called you a loser. Just because you decide to take it personally doesn't mean I'm the one to be blamed. It's not like you're proving to others that you can play the game; You're proving it to yourself. Mainly to yourself. The moment you do give up, however, you do ruin the entire match to other players. That's selfish and unfair. In such cases, I feel like you'd be better playing some single player games, so you won't be able to ruin the game to other players, but to yourself.

If you don't enjoy playing as a survivor, why do you play in SWF in the first place?

I mean, I give up on hook all the time. If a killer tunnels out my friend at 4 gens? Why should I stay in the game and keep playing when the whole point I booted up the game was to play with them... What if someone DC's at 5 gens? should I really stay in the game and play a 3v1 cause someone DC'd? What if its trickster? Should I stay in a game and play against him... I think not...

In that case.. Why don't you protect your friend? Sure, the price is gonna be high, but it is all you can do.

To make it the worst for the killer, just hop onto generators and get them done ASAP. Each second you're not on a generator is a second wasted.

The moment you do queue for the match, you do accept the fact that you may be tunneled or camped to death, or play against any of the available killers. Yes, that's just the way it is. It sucks, but it's not like you can do a thing about it.. You're sayin', that you'd rather give up and ruin the match to other two players, who're not your friends? Yikes.. That's some selfish mindset..

If someone disconnects early, then you shouldn't follow his or her example. Prove that you're better. Prove that you're not such a loser. Not only it'll make you feel better at the end of the day, but you may still escape the match.. May.

Players with the same attitude or mindset as yours are the reason, why do others tend to give up early aswell. It's infectious.

My mistake is having a Claud who doesn’t know how to play? This game is 1v4 as SoloQ; killer and 3 survivors vs you.

If you play Solo Queue, you do accept the fact that you may encounter such players. If you wanna avoid such cases, get into SWF or play as a killer; But, I'm certain you knew about those possible ways around it, aye?

In that case, you're just looking for excuses for ruining matches to other players.

While "Losers" is a strong word, I agree. You know what this game is about, you know the situations you can get into, still people get overly salty. I'm going to say it, it is just a game. Giving up everytime you face "hardships" in a digital setting is like refusing candy, because you don't like the color. It's a question of mindset.

It's true, but I have a feeling that there's no better word to describe such people. They do give up, so such a word does fit them perfectly.

I can accept giving up in case you forgot to head to the toilet before starting the match and can't hold it, or in case of some sort of an emergency situation.. But just because you can't handle losing? That's what I can't accept. Unfortunately, such a mindset is even more present nowadays than it was back then. 😖

Faster move speed + a 12 meter terror radius is not much different to Michael at tier 2.

    What's your point?

  • You do know the reason, why're you asking? Because only losers do give up early.. And to be honest, those people should stay away from social networks and online games aswell.

If you do care about the quality of your team mates, do play SWF; Sure, it may be a pain to search for the optimal team or group of players, but you can do it. The fact that you're excusing yourself for your own mistakes kinda puts you into the same category as those, who do Self-Care in the corner of the map. As always, neither me or you can claim that it's a bad strategy, as it's dependable on the situation you're in.

Unless you do present a clear case scenario, I'm ready to argue as to why using Self-Care is a good strategy when it comes to Solo Queue; Of course, I don't like using the perk alone, I'd always pick Botany Knowledge when I'm at it.. Maybe even Desperate Measures.

my favorite part about the Jonah outfit is that his cap is on backwards,so it doesn't block the sun and the description says it helps block the sun.

    BHVR logic

They're not wrong, though; It prevents from getting a sunburnt back side of his neck, doesn't it?

We're not taking in mind that people do usually wear caps to keep sun outta their eyes. 😋

I wonder how this works with Spinechill. Does it show the proximity indicator before it hits the 36m activation point?

If the perk doesn't state otherwise, it shouldn't.. I mean, you'll be a few seconds late to the party, as Spine Chill kinda states „within 36 meters“.

  • Don't ask me.. I have never felt like players are using BBQ for its aura reading.

Spirit still has one of the best 1v1s in the entire game being able to get downs at most loops very quick, no other killer below her really compares to this 1v1 potential, plus mother daughter ring and cherry blossom are insane addons. The iron will nerf means an injured survivor cant really do anything to mind game super easily. To add to this ask any top comp player and they will tell you Spirit is the 3rd best comp killer.

Also blight is S tier because his map pressure is uncontested, no other killer can put out the kind of map pressure that he can and blighted crow + alch ring is insane and he is again another comp killer 2nd only to Nurse.

Her 1 Vs. 1 isn't as strong as Bubba's 1 Vs. 1. Grab Bamboozle, Enduring, and you can pretty much win a chase if your prey gets to the killer shack with little to no effort. She downs fast only if survivors don't use headphones, are inexperienced, or you're using the best add-ons.

I am glad, you've mentioned those add-ons. Mother-Daughter has always been the #1st Top add-on of her, and as for Dried Cherry Blossom.. Just.. Ughhh.. This add-on is so disgusting! The player has to put zero skill into gameplay, as the game basically spots survivors in close range.

Just because she can finish one chase fast enough doesn't make her S tier. The cooldown is horrible.. One full usage of her power, and three generators are at ~25% each. That does no longer fit the S tier.

As for Blight, Hillbilly's mobility is unmatched; You're wrong. Hillbilly's mobility has always been the top one, unless we're taking in mind teleports, but that would no longer count as mobility, right? Regardless, he's too map dependable to be S tier..

  • I have no clue, to be honest.

I do play Solo Queue when it comes to survivor, and I do escape around ~10 - 15% of my matches. Most do end up with 3 - 4k. The killer either tunnels right off the bat, making it a 2 Vs. 1 at four generators required to repair with Overcharge, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, Dead Man's Switch - Those three perks are present 24/7, sometimes even with Call of Brine, but the last perk is in most cases Save The Best For Last.

When it comes to playing as a killer, I do usually make six or eight hooks, but I use no generator regression perks - Add-onless Spirit with Brutal Strength, Franklin's Demise, Rancor, and Save The Best For Last. I do, sometimes, replace Franklin's Demise with Shattered Hope, but because there is always a survivor with an item.. I do tend to keep Franklin's Demise. Do note, I'm still meeting SWF premades 24/7.

To be honest, I have no clue what are people talking about when it comes to the supposed high-end MMR reset. I'm not experiencing such thing.

I might add, though, that I do never tunnel or camp. I do always switch the target even if it costs me the four Tokens of Save The Best For Last. I do hate tunneling, I do find camping boring.. I'm not gonna make the experiences miserable for myself and the other people aswell.

  • I'm currently at 40th tier, with almost every single Rift challenge completed so far.. (I'm absolutely not gonna play with Jonah).

  • Sweaty pick: Nobody. I do never play competitively, if the others can cheat without getting punished (VOIP).

Fun pick: Anna or Rin, mood dependable.

Regardless she is still the top 3 with one of the best 1v1 powers in the entire game. Also yh good headphones don't make up for game sense and macro gameplay, you need both to really get value from her.

Right, but that still doesn't make her S tier, even if she were to use the best add-ons available. There's currently only one S tier available in the game - Sally, known as the nurse.

Blight, Hillbilly, Spirit.. All of them are B or A tiers, but they can't make it to S tiers even with their best add-ons. They just can't, because they're either too map dependable (Blight requires obstacles, he ain't gonna perform well in maps like Rotten Fields, Lampkin Lane, etcetera, and Billy is the exact opposite, but with a cooldown to his power in case you do overheat your chainsaw or bump into an object or two.

Would it be possible for you to explain, why do you believe that Spirit makes it to S tier? I have provided my thoughts, the reasons why I'm against the fact that she can make it to S tier.

If you have good headphones none of that matters, and scratch marks still act the same. Blood tracking does not matter since you can hear them anyway if they r injured. She is the 3rd best comp killer in the game for a reason, not to mention some of her addons being busted to.

Good headphones don't make you the best player. I'd argue that you don't even need them, if you can predict what the survivor's gonna do.. But that's debatable.

She may be in the top three, but that's only because she's the least realm and map dependable outta all of the killers in-game.. Well, minus Eyrie of Crows, of course.

In his YouTube videos yes, because that’s the theme of the videos, is different meta killer builds. But on stream he uses all kinds of builds, as well as perkless addonless challenges, and still dominates.

What would you say STOPS her from being s tier? 🤔

Along the directional audio cue, the long recharge time, as well as the requirement to have a fully charged power bar before phasing. It happens really frequently that the survivor is so close.. I'd need less than ~20% of my power bar to catch up to him or her, but I can't.. I have to wait additional ten seconds (in case the power bar isn't fully depleted) and lose a distance.. And that's just one survivor, there are four.

When it comes to the directional audio cue, if there are no walls between you and the survivor, it becomes too easy to predict just where Rin is even though you can't see her. If there are walls, however, it's possible to trick the survivor into thinking that you're phasing to him or her, whereas you're on the other side of the building - That's quite crucial around buildings like the killer shack, main buildings in MacMillan Estate maps, etcetera.

Besides those three thnigs.. There's nothing else that I'd have to mention. The fact that she's even more add-on dependable doesn't really change her, does it? If so, you can add this one to the list of reasons aswell, but I wouldn't wanna jump into conclusions that fast, even though I could do that fairly easily - I mean, I've been playing with her and still am for years, ever since she got released..

I disagree. Majority of my games with spirit are easy 4k at 1-3 gens typically. I RARELY make it to end game. Addonless she’s a bit tough. But with simple yellow speed and duration addons, paired with STBFL and stridor, definitely S tier.

Yeah, yeah.. You can try picking up perks like Lightweight or Off The Record to make it a nightmare for her.

Thing is, the overwhelming majority of survivors at low to mid MMR do refuse to play against her, because they can't see her. To them, this means that there's no counterplay. They're still stuck back in the old days when and where Rin and Sally have dominated the entire game.. But, those days are long gone.

Also STBFL isn't such a huge threat, unless the killer has six Tokens. You're obviously overreacting, which you have been doing for months when it comes to killer related threads.. I just don't get it.

How about you present a detailed review about her as to why you do believe that she's S tier?
