I had a theory that since Project T was set in the Backwater Swamp realm, that it would have been updated alongside PTs release. Project T was recently cancelled but the update is still coming, I just think that's why they waited so long.

I hope it goes live. Maybe even buffed a little bit replacing exposed with endurance.
Oh my god can you imagine how funny it will be when the Killer finally thinks they killed the best looper 🤣🤣🤣🙂↔️🙂↔️
Is it just me or is it a little bit warm in here?
"Oh my god can you imagine how funny it will be when the Killer finally thinks they killed the best looper"
That gave me a laugh. Honestly, there's been games where someone has kept the killer occupied for most of the game and I feel bad having escaped while they've died. I'd happily give them another chance. It's probably a death sentence perk when it comes to endgame saves though.

There should be a law that requires the devs to implement a mechanic that the Killer can trigger to allow Survivors to interact with the doggy as well. There should be one for head pats and another for belly rubs.
I support this amendment

This just seems like such a niche scenario with so many downsides and/or better options.
If you haven't gotten to heal someone yet and the survivor coming up isn't injured, you can't use the perk.
If you haven't gotten to heal someone yet and the survivor coming is injured, solidarity might be a better option (I never expected to say 'solidarity would be a better option').
If you have got a heal in, but then got injured, hooked, and unhooked, second wind would be better.
If the survivor coming to heal you has a heal build, then the time savings are considerably less.
Even if you pull this off, if the killer comes along within the 60 seconds and downs you, it might have been better to take the heal.
So you need a scenario where you get a heal, you get injured, you don't get hooked, another survivor comes to you, you activate this, and your next encounter with the killer is long enough for the heal to trigger. So if you hit a killer using an anti-heal hit and run build I guess it would shine.
"This just seems like such a niche scenario with so many downsides and/or better options"
Yes, this is on par with recent survivor perk trends.
-
You can't have a dog in a game and no option to pet it. Pretty sure it's the law.
-
It'll be handy when on a gen injured and another survivor runs up. You can activate it then keep going on the gen together.
-
Agree, especially as I've quit social media. I was watching Hens when the patch notes came out so saw them through his stream.
-
They also seem to have been listening to the complaints about survivors lingering in the exit gate area because if the dog grabs you there's a decent mini-blood warden

Isn’t it a perk people have consistently asked for? It’s one I’ve seen killer mains ask for (for survivors) as well as an anti-tunneling perk. Now, suddenly, it’s a problem huh?
It's also an anti-tunnel perk that doesn't involve Endurance. Endurance has been complained about alot too since it can be used offensively.
-
This ######### is messin up my floor
-
If you say so. Ultimately it doesn't matter what people say - the devs can see on their end if it's happening more or not.

i dont have nancy steve or the dlc. but i unlocked their perks at sable and other new survivors before they added back the stranger things dlc
but i cant find their perks on DwightOh I see, sorry I misread your post.
As miniwengsel said, now that the Stranger Things DLC has returned the perks are now tied to the characters once more. So to continue to have access to them via other survivors, you'll need Nancy and Steve unlocked and at P1 unfortunately
-
Yeah, if the game is clearly over at multiple gens left then you're better off not being one of the last two left. It's just a back and forth of picking each other up and getting downed
-
Do you mean you bought Nancy? Those are her perks, not Sables
Edit: pretty sure Camraderie is Steve's perk actually

I've been playing normal mode 90% of the time. I'll only play Haunted if the incentive is good. I havent had issues with queue times in normal mode but Haunted can sometimes take a bit longer but not anything frustratingly long. I havent played today but I usually play between 10am and midday, so it could just be that I play at a good time for queues.

I don’t care except I wish the stats did not include matchs where people try to unhook themselves and actually try so we could see the real kill rates.
I am pretty sure instead of ~60%, kill rates would be closer to 50% even 40% for some low tier killers.Doubt it. The devs said that when first hook deaths were removed from Skull Merchants killrates it only went from 71% to like 68%. If Skull Merchant only had 3% first hook deaths then i doubt other killers are worse off. 1/3 deaths definitely aren't from people letting go, especially against low tier killers.

IMO people need to not put so much weight on YouTube videos. Even ones by popular content creators. Their YouTube videos are cherry picked scenarios and games to show exactly what they want it to show purely for click$. If you have the time, watch them when they stream live on Twitch. It helps highlight the fact that often the stuff they claim on YT is "OP" or "meta" is really not that exciting when you watch them play a bunch of games to try and make it work or get that perfect moment to cut for their clickbait YouTube video.

It's not something I make a habit of, but I tried to do it the other day on the Badham map. I was doing the gen in that little room (the one they gave us the little window in then took it away) and a Nea decided to bodyblock me in there for zero reason at all. Killer came and downed me, then hit me on hook for reasons unknown. I assumed they were working together and tried to let go. People can tell me I'm ruining the game for my team mates or whatever, but my game was literally being ruined, so... I don't think people should have to tough it out no matter what. It's a game at the end of the day.
-
This is something you need to take up with a therapist. That sort of anger generally goes deeper than just gaming frustrations.

I was on Azarovs the other day, completed a gen on one side and then shortly afterwards Jill completed a gen on the same side, leaving one more there. She came and joined me on the opposite side to crank out a gen there - which the killer was guarding pretty heavily, trying to sway a 3 gen himself. We all managed to get one done in between downs, and then i got hooked in the narrow centre. An Ace unhooked and healed me, then waved for me to follow him. He led me straight to the one gen that finishing would leave 3 close gens. I shook my head no and ran back, but Sable came and joined him. The killer of course didn't bother checking that gen so they freely finished it and you can imagine how the game went after that. Was surprised when I saw Ace was a P100. Didn't understand how he didn't know to just leave that gen alone, especially as it was Azarovs. Jill at least was thinking like me, but we needed the other two to help.

Because like it or not, Nurse has one of the worse winrate. Plus her win rate at high MMR is not that good. Just check all the official stats the dev gave us.
Sure, there is one good content creator with more than 8000h on her, and pro scene experience destroying public lobbies with her but does that mean for the majority of the player base she is crazy broken ? No.She was already nerfed by the fact that her attacks are now special so please leave her alone.
And Peanits already addressed Nurses killrates previously. He said she was a good example of why stats don't provide the full story. She is a free killer so is commonly tried out by new players. Her high skill floor means new players suffer alot more losses with her while trying to master her, which brings her killrates down.

Yes, that's right. But DS was also nerfed back to 4 seconds. I can honestly imagine that if they nerf OTR it will be a one-time use like DS (probably pre-death hook activation).
Or it only works after you've completed a gen, opened two chests, cleansed a Hex totem, and danced naked under the full moon. That would put it more in line with recent perk requirements I think.
-
The fact that they originally had the basekit Unbreakable alongside a previous iteration of the Finisher Mori suggests they knew an increase in slugging would be a consequence. It's been a couple of years in the making so the fact that they were happy to release it now suggests they don't actually care about an increase in slugging because any attempts to address it are completely gone because killers weren't happy.
We all know special moris will be available in store soon, so the situation will only get worse as people will be determined to get what they paid for. After 2 years in the making I'd say the devs are content with the situation and I can't see them doing anything about it. If they do I would be pleasantly surprised but I'm not holding my breath.
-
It has the easiest counter - chase someone else.

Congrats Peanits on your new role, but also we will miss your face (name) around the community. Thanks for all your help over the years and for keeping us up to date and informed.

It's normal for it to change. I had 200% on survivor yesterday for about an hour and then it dropped down to 50%. Lots of factors affect it.

Coldwind definitely needs another look at. It's increasingly full of dead zones.

Just press the open gate button HARDER. It'll speed up the progress, lol.
Funnily enough, I almost did get it open lol it was only me and Gabriel, and she went for him. He went down a couple of seconds too quick near me and she came straight to me hearing the gate and got a hit. I tried to pick him up with WGLF but she literally got me a split second later 😅

Aura perks are on the chopping block because survivors sucessfully killed off all other chase and regress perks. Don't blame any one killer when any perk used too often is immediately in the scope of mob.
Nope, they'll be on the chopping block because no one is using Distortion now. Distortion would have held aura reading back a bit but now those perks will be getting more successful results and BHVR would see that in their stats. I said when Distortion was nerfed that people need to be careful what they wish for because the end result will be aura reading on the chopping block next. And here we are.

I would go to the other gate.
Somewhat related… is anyone noticing that both exit gates are spawning on the same wall more often now? There’s no patch note information about this, of course. It seems really strange.Had this amazing spawn not long ago. Against a Nurse lol

@Dudewithname said:
it specifically says “Update To Status” rather than “tweak” so it seem a bit more substantial. Imo i think the change would be “removing the self mend” and require a second player to mend the deep wound
How would that work when there's only 1 or 2 survivors left? If 2 left then presumably one is in chase and the other just does nothing because they can't mend?
-
Because when they lose they need something to blame. They see WoO frequently so they assume that's the reason they lose. It's the same with all the popular survivor perks complained about. The devs can nerf WoO but there will be a new complained about perk not long after.

I'll add a few more. Using exhaustion perks, flashlights/bangs, boil over, sabo, having a healthy marriage, crouching, trying to save in end game, heal/cj/dumb tech, completing more than one gen before the killer gets their first down, bringing a tool box.
"having a healthy marriage"
Finally, I'm good at something in this game 😅

The give up player ones generally arn't counted so its higher.
They are included. The devs confirmed it with Skull Merchant. IIRC her killrate was 71% and when they were asked if that included people giving up, they said if they took away people who die on first hook then her killrate was 68%.
-
Playing in a swf. Bodyblocking. Taking an endurance hit for someone else. Just to name a few that are frequently complained about.
-
I guess either go for the other door, or move a distance away and drop a pallet before sneaking back to the gate while the killer looks around the pallet. If neither of those are possible without the killer seeing you, then I'd just go for a chase until I either get downed or the entity takes me.

Does the Killer Perk Sloppy Butcher still effect this? Like if he hits and downs you with Sloppy, once you're unhooked, your health immidetley starts depleting?
It does, but I always duck down immediately after the unhook and it usually hits around 50% healed by the time the unhooker gets the prompt and starts to heal me. So I personally find it still valuable and use it most games these days.
-
Kayako would crawl, I imagine she'd be third person like Chucky
-
Yes. I also think it will have a sharp drop off in players not long after as everyone gets sick of going against Springtrap every game
-
They had to do something with all the pallets they've removed
-
I got mine from Forbidden Planet. They only have issues 2 and 3 in this pack though
https://forbiddenplanet.com/395813-dead-by-daylight-1-4-virgin-copic-pack/
-
High MMR should be tough. It's the best players up there. If you're unable to compete at that level then perhaps you don't belong in high MMR?
-
Yeah I think the hardest thing is getting yourself hyped up for something that ultimately doesn't meet your expectations. I felt like this during the anniversary event this year. That event has always been my favourite yet this year's was lacklustre for me compared to previous years. I do think the split queues are great though because if you find an event not to your liking you can just play normal mode, which is what I'm doing now.
-
When the devs stop removing more and more pallets from maps, then we can talk
-
My matchmaking hasn't been too bad today in normal mode. I'm personally glad they have the separate modes now. Even outside of events there are days where matchmaking is all over the place
-
They've done the same to a bunch of other maps, just deadzones everywhere
-
It's honestly the most infuriating thing when facing a Huntress. You're well around a wall and get downed. The hit box is ridiculous
