  • Maybe somebody who keeps making new accounts and their IP address has been banned? Hope it's not that sick pos who posted all that gore stuff

  • It's weird because I have an offer for a Zarina bundle in my store - survivor and cosmetic - despite owning both already. If they're supposed to be advertised to those who have nothing included in the bundle then they should be consistent about this.

  • If by ratted out you mean they take the killer to you, that's actually reportable as it's considered working with the killer. Support just needs to actually do something about it because from my experience they just let it slide. If there are actual consequences, even just a warning, then alot of people will stop doing it.

the event was extremely abused last year and i saw no point in playing Oni, people just go into the void to force me out of power with 0 tradeoffs , rinse and repeat

Your feedback re last event is valid. As is other people's feedback for this event.

  • Yeah I've noticed it's often used to dismiss opinions, particularly the whole "you must be low MMR then" as though that makes a difference. So what if they are low MMR? Someone has to be. The low MMR bracket doesn't magically disappear once said forum user leaves it. But ultimately none of us know what MMR we are at, so it's meaningless to even bring it up.

  • I'm experiencing the same when hooked near a portal. The killer just goes in and comes out when I get unhooked. Honestly, I'm letting it just wash off me. I've almost finished all the Tome challenges and then I'm just waiting for the next page. We have free will, just don't play it.

  • It's until the end of the event

  • I'm just playing for the Tome. Only enter the void if I have to

  • I've said this before but it honestly feels like they sometimes just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks. There's not alot of sense in alot of the map changes

  • I love Fast Track. You get value from the killer's progress (hooks), you don't lose tokens so can choose when to use them - preferably the last gen but if you're not going to survive that long then you can dump them earlier - not to mention it's really satisfying seeing that chunk of progress appear.

  • In the misc section it says

    • Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash when the Killer bot Mori'd the player in the Tutorial.

So it might be referring to the tutorial bot, as well as possibly the 2v8 bots which I gather they'd be currently testing

  • Think the servers are playing up. It took me about 10min to actually open the game this morning, it was stuck on this page for about 5 minutes of that -

  • IIRC my record is 18

  • Nah, if it glows it goes. Especially with Devour being as popular as it is lately. You just need to remember where you cleansed if the killer has Pentimento

  • Been getting the same. I'll add that I'm on controller, so its definitely not your mouse

  • Mines been alright for the last couple of days. I've had no issues with queue times on survivor (waiting no more then 20s or so) and I'm currently on 150% which is nice ngl

  • I played against two yesterday and no one DCd or let go in either of them. In my general experience it's a minority, even as hated as SM is.

  • I just played on Torment Creek and couldn't find any pallets. I don't understand the thinking. It's a daylight map, they made the corn sparse, it's not like you can hide anywhere. Yet there's bugger all pallets. So yeah, not a fan sorry.

  • It's not OP. It's actually just a decent perk now.

  • I think it's because of Haunted by Daylight, they're giving extra time

  • @HerInfernalMajesty said:

Both of my queues have been kind of long despite the +50% bonus BP on Survivor.

Maybe the queues are taking long because maybe Bhvr changed the mmr system from fast matches to tighter mmr cluster matches.

I was thinking this too actually. They might be playing around with matchmaking

  • Elodie's recolour cosmetic is better than the store one, I love it. But yeah, overall the free track is pretty ordinary.

Its full end game with gamble perk like machine learning and almost full haste combo, so nothing wrong with that. You waste all your pressure in the beginning to get huge value in endgame.

That argument didn't seem to fly when it came to Hope + MFT or Adrenaline

  • I got mine after the update the other day, so you definitely should have got some

  • Rancid is what I call my gen rush map. It's the only map I will make sure to spend every single spare second I have on a gen because there is nothing to work with, so the sooner you get the gens done and gates open the better. You just burn through resources and create deadzones so fast.

  • Glad it's safe to return. I saw two and just left

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

yes. it was a buff awhile back because drone would despawn if you hooked a survivor.

Thanks! I guess I don't go up against her all that much if it was changed awhile ago and I just noticed now

  • All feedback is valid. If people want to complain about tunnelling or slugging they are free to as much as you're free to complain about quality of team mates.

  • Like half of Borgo is a deadzone now. Blew my mind the other day playing on it

Yeah, it's been 150% for survivor today for me, too. The queue is surprisingly slow for such a large bonus, though. I would expect it to be instant.

It was 150% Survivor last night for me again, strangely enough at 11pm when I usually see 100% killer incentive. I didn't play though so can't speak for queue times. The incentive is definitely all over the place.

  • Literally just watching Hens ask the same question about that lol someone suggested maybe it's just in regards to 2v8?

  • I doubt I'll ever reach this high again. I've had a crappy several weeks of up and down being sick and then it developing into pneumonia, so I've had more time on my hands than usual.

Something I cannot understand is why are we even talking about nerfing SWF, these are the real minority of players! Killers that says they are always facing swf are lying, they get good solo q players that get some coordination, but then you see the statistics of these killer mains and they win 8 or 9 out of 10 matches, are you kidding me? How come SWFs are a problem when you win almost all of your matches man?

Solo Q is miserable and whats most frustrating for me is that forum mods are always avoiding these trheads, so that tells you a lot on how important solo q experience is for them, zero to none.

We have "solo q miserable experience" threads every day, i dont know what else do they need to happen so they do something, at least try something else on a PTB, thinking outside the box, instead of buffing teamwork perks in a game where you have zero comunication with other teammates, so the chances you have some value from these perks are really low, why should I use any of these perks instead of DS, or UB, to at least try to have a few more seconds of chases in the tunelling and slugging meta?

I've said before that the game should should show on the post-game screen who was in a swf just so people get a wake up call on the fact that, no, they're not facing seal team 6 every game

I don't necessarily think it has to do with perks. MMR has been active for 3 years now. Most players' MMR is going to be more or less settled at this point unless they recently started playing.

Just my opinion, but I don't think anything will change with the DCs and giving up unless there are foundational changes to the flow of the trials themselves. It's getting worse because the game has been out for 8 years and players understand the game more than they ever have. The result of the trial is often more or less locked in within the first few minutes. It is rare to see survivors make a comeback. It happens a bit more on killer in my experience, but it's still unlikely for either side to come back from behind in a trial without the other side making massive mistakes.

Point being, if you're a vet player with thousands of hours and you've seen it before in the first minute of a trial, you might know with 99% certainty that the next 10-15 minutes are going to be a complete waste of time if you stick around. And one of the biggest flaws with this game is the insistence on forcing players to play through terrible games where the outcome is decided 10 minutes ago. Games are supposed to be fun, and I will never fault someone for valuing their time.

It's up to the developers to make the trials feel worthwhile. I don't have a solution. I'm not a game dev. But I can say that 30-50% of my trials on any given night feel like a complete waste of time, like I'm just watching a pre-rendered cutscene. I'm probably not the only vet who feels that way.

This is my answer too, you said it better than I could. You can determine how your trial is going to go early on in a match, and since I don't let go on hook for me they just become bloodpoint matches where my goal is just to walk away with something for my time and effort.

But I can see why a fellow team mate might just want to go to the next game. And if they're actively letting go then I won't unhook them unless I think the game is still winnable and they're just quitting in a moment of rage. Most of the time my judgement on that is pretty good because the games have just become that predictable.

  • I'm not sure what happened either. I feel like it's been going downhill for the past couple years. I've been mostly playing killer this week despite the incentive being on survivor. Not even the extra bp is enough.

  • Most survivors move onto their next game once they've been sacrificed. So even if you didn't tunnel, slug, whatever, they're unlikely to hang around until post-game chat.

  • Recently Knight has been bumped back up to top spot. After his last update its just guard after guard after guard all game.

  • I had a post awhile ago in the feedback section where I said they could actually make the thumbs up option post-game actually mean something. Whether it's a reputation system, or bloodpoint rewards, shards, whatever, allow the players to reward or acknowlege each other for good sportsmanship.

It's not going to solve every issue but I feel like most people behave unpleasantly because they're anonymous behind a screen and there's no consequences or reasons to reconsider their behaviour. Having a stranger give you something rewarding just because you played a game with them would probably give you a bigger dopamine hit than playing like an ass would.

  • I don't mind it in general but in CS it seems to put a target on your head. I had a Knight absolutely gunning for me the other day when i got it but I also had DS and it saved my bacon and we got a 4 escape in the end. All because he just wanted to get the No Mither user out asap.

It is not that great . Use fearmonger or the newlly buffed dredge perk if you want to counter exaustion . Perhaps blood echo if you're playing legion/plague.

Playing Chucky. I have 2-3 perks I generally stick with then the 4th I just try new things until something feels good, but I enjoy changing things up in general. Mindbreaker/Fearmonger is great, but i was thinking more for something to benefit during chase as opposed to at the start

  • It'll be helpful for those stupid skill checks that pop up right when you're leaving the gen. That's about it

Oh, my bad! Yeah another nearby survivor can 100% put it on cooldown.

Although that does make it function like a discount Spies as well as inflicting exhaustion, so it's not all bad.

Thanks ☺️ I imagine I'd still get decent value but it looks like the Genetic Limits change is going ahead so I'll try that one first!

Yes, instead of "for any" they should have said "if you have any".

Exactly. I did assume it was the latter though, as even though they've definitely gotten more generous with bp I thought 1 mill each is a bit too generous of BHVR lol I'm happy with 1 mill anyway

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/428802/i-didn-t-understood-the-distortion-change

Best possible outcome. Having 3 people with distortion is the single most annoying thing you can face in a match (besides 4 WoO) even if you just use 1 aura element (perk/addon). Having one perk cancel out God knows how many other perks and add ons is extremly frustrating. Especially if you have an aura build but also if you have just one aura perk. It becomes basically useless and that is too much power on one side. I cannot count how many times I had to play hard locked in to burn through the stacks just for them to reload for free. Now you at least need to do something for it. Getting huge advantages should always come with a price and not for free. Like frickin Windows of Opportunity

I think one thing people are missing is that balancing is always a game of give and take. Be careful what you wish for. If killing Distortion means that aura read perks and builds get results that are a little too good stats-wise, the next step is aura read perks being put on the chopping block.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

It's got a 36m range, so survivors scaring Crows across the map won't be affected by it, and won't trigger the cooldown.

Oh I know, it was an exaggeration. I was just asking if a survivor I'm not interacting with in any way could essentially take the activation away from the survivor that I was interacting with. They don't have to literally be on the other side of the map

  • Thanks everyone! I have Singularity so I'll just wait and try out the updated Genetic Limits first.

    @GoodBoyKaru said:

As others have mentioned, you're probably better off waiting to see if Genetic Limits makes it out of the PTB unscathed. But if you're going to buy him for Languid Touch, don't forget that he also comes with Weave Attunement, possibly the best aura reading perk in the game right now, and which is definitely making it at least another update without being touched.

Thanks though I tend to avoid aura perks, Friends til the End is probably my only exception lol

The stuff kinda bothers me a little to be completely honest. I understand that every game will have a portion of the playerbase that's….the way that they are, but it feels weird for the devs to feed into it a bit in a game about serial killers hunting people down and violently executing them and a never-ending game of violence.

Part of the reason I like horror so much is for the horror of it. The creepy atmosphere, the violence, the hulking figures, creepy warped bodies and twisted amalgamations of flesh. Seeing people run around shirtless, or in bikinis and microskirts, or heck, glowing fox tails, it really detracts from that atmosphere.

It also perplexes me how people get all hot over people that would literally kill them for fun without a second thought.

Maybe it's my age showing (I'm an older Millennial) but horror and sex are an iconic duo. Maybe it's different in modern horror, but the classics that kicked off the genre were all about that. Not sure if you've seen the movie Cabin in the Woods but it perfectly encapsulated the standard horror tropes of the virgin, the "#########," the jock, the nerd, etc. They all followed a formula, nudity was a common feature, and it wouldn't be a Friday the 13th movie without someone being chased in a bikini or killed while being intimate. The glowing fox tail, yeah I'll give you that one.
