I've honestly never really seen tunnelling killers use a specific build. They usually just run builds around slowing down gens and just tunnel on top of that, as you were doing anyway. I don't think tunnelling is too difficult a strat that you need perks to help with it.
-
That's my only issue with the event. I don't mind it otherwise. It's just discouraging getting some extra bp but then having to spend it all plus extra to find another offering.
I'd rather have an over-abundance of offerings at the end of the event if it meant having a decent amount of bp built up for the Alien chapter as a result.
-
I'm able to comfortably get to iri 4 as solo survivor every month, but I find iri 4 to 1 a bit of a slog. I only ever depip when I get tunnelled, as I don't get the chance to do anything outside of chase. So I support getting rid of depipping outside of DCs. Ultimately, its just bloodpoints at the end of the day and it's not like it's real money is coming out of the devs pockets here.

I disagree. I think they should increase the DC punishment. Bots should only be in matches where someone accidentally loses internet. The bots aren't there to cover a temper tantrum, but to support the players that aren't having internet problems and actually want to play the game.
They were never meant to incentivize DCs, and since this mindset is obviously something that has come up, please, BHVR, increase the DC penalty significantly to squash this idea entirely. I suggest:
1st DC 1 hour penalty
2nd DC 1 day penalty
3rd DC 1 week penalty
4th DC 1 month penalty
5th DC 1 year penalty
Believe it or not, but the devs want people to play their game. Even the people who DC.
-
Must be in your region. Mine is 100% survivor and my queue times are same as always.
-
I think the event is fine, the only downside is how hard it is to find invites in the bloodweb. I'm seeing more terrormisu being offered than I am invites and I'm assuming it's because people can't find the invites so falling back on other offerings.
-
I think it's less popular in certain regions, probably in non-English speaking regions. Like how Self Care is notoriously popular in Asian regions. Being in Australia, I get matched with lots of people in the Asian region and I can go many games without seeing a single MFT.
-
It's interesting because i was in the same scenario the other day. Was blocking an injured team mate and got yeeted into the exit. But the block ended quickly enough because I was able to escape.

Or better yet, hopefully the survivors won't bring map offerings with broken items+S-tier perks and maybe I'll consider playing a killer below A-tier.
So they should weaken themselves even more so you can... win harder against them next time?
-

Thanks, this stats are cool.
But seeing Self-care and Spine chill that high really scares me
Self Care is notoriously popular in the Asian region. It's another reason why Made for This may not feature in the results, or if it does in future then it may not be very high. There may be regions where it's not popular at all.

I hope they fixed this bug real soon. Cause it definitely feels a bit more harder to catch up. Sorry to sound off topic but when survivors use Made For This also. Which makes it even more a pain to catch them while gens still fly at least from my experience.
It's not a bug. The bug was apparently fast vaults only getting medium vault distance, which they have now fixed.

Purple Pill - get yourself hooked and go next.
These SMs don't hook. That wastes precious gen kicking time.
-
Usage rate is simply how many people equip it. Not how many people get to endgame to get value from it.

@Blueberry said:
I'm just disappointed by how rare the offerings in the blood webs are and how little bloodpoints it gives.
Same. I feel like I'll have a great game and get 50k bp, then spend 60k trying to find another offering.
-
I think if you let the good survivor sit on a gen, the hiding one will think you're farming and eventually come out. Then do as you wish. The other has done nothing to sell out the useless one at that point.
-
I don't mind Nurse, but she's hard to go against when there's isn't alot of map clutter. And so many players complain about clutter on maps, and looking at new Rancid Abbatoir it seems BHVR are in agreement. If there's no way to break line of sight then she can be quite difficult to go against in my experience.
-
I tell my kids that it costs nothing to be kind. It's sad when i see adults behaving this way.
-
I get headaches from the bottle effect, so I understand. But most players seem to be fine with it so I can't see them changing him for a minority of us. Lots of players with a fear of throwing up still have to play against Plague. It's just one of those things.
-
If it's clear they're setting up a 3 gen from the start of the game and refusing to chase, then I have no issue with people taking the blue pill. The minuscule amount of bp you'll get after that hour is up isn't worth your time.
-
I think she's fine. There will always be killers we don't see much of, especially since we have over 30 of them now. Plus some are simply more popular than others. But yeah, I have no issue with Artist.

maybe it was a matter of which perks those survivors had? I think bots only have code to use about half of the perks, and I doubt that they'll change their entire strategy based on what perks they have equipped (i.e. know that they're the runner rather than knowing that they have a gen build and need to stay hidden).
Maybe, but there was a massive difference between the two bots. Both DCs were at the start of the game and one bot was hooked three times and gone in like a minute. The other bot was constantly engaged in chase and was the last man standing in the end, without having been hooked a single time. They also came to me for heals, whereas I had a bot in another game that would run away every time I tried to heal them.
-
That's disappointing. I haven't played yet but was looking forward to it.
-
I'm pretty sure they're all programmed to be different in the same way players are all different, so some are better than others and it's just luck of the draw. I had two bots against a Nurse yesterday. One was useless and couldn't last seconds in chase so was out asap. The other one was cracked and kept running the killer until she'd give up chase. I'd heal her up and she'd be back to running the killer. She outlasted me and the other player, zero hook states, and I'm pretty sure she made a hatch play because she didn't save me off hook 🤣

We need some zero gravity room on the ship where Billy can legitimately fly

Just like the bots blowing up nearly done gens and not picking us up because tr is barely there.
After I witnessed a healthy bot refusing to pick me up while i was tap away from being picked up I said eff em. They can rot like "altruistic" people who left them to me. No wonder they are similar.
And no wonder killers want us to help bots and trade our health states so they have faster matches for that sweet 500th w streak. No thanks. Work for it.
I had a slugging Twins game earlier, and someone DCd rather than put up with it. Their bot sat on a gen across the map and soon three of us were down, and the bot left the gen after the recent down got hooked. Me and the other person were 99% on the ground, in between the bot and the hooked person, and the bot ran over us both to the hooked person 🤣🤣 they got downed. They're painful sometimes but they're definitely giving me a much needed laugh in some of my games
-
I know it wastes time, but if you can't find an active TV because she's spamming them then hang around one until it switches on and then immediately grab the tape. You're basically trying to beat her, and unfortunately your team mates, to the TV. The TVs have pretty much become the main objective in some of these Onryo games.

Did your teammate have Left Behind? If so, it's maybe a "escape through hatch" challenge. I tried that challenge by playing normally after hatch was changed but survivors refusing to escape doesn't give you enough time to find the hatch. Two times they waited at the very end of EGC timer and I knew that easiest way to complete that ######### challenge is to let all survivors to die. Don't even start with "just bring a hatch offering" because killer is waiting there to close it or "just bring a key" because usually you get tunneled when you bring a key.
I'll continue to leave others to die unless devs change that challenge to be something else or just remove it because that challenge is outdated right now.
He didn't have Left Behind. I do understand that challenges like that are easiest done by throwing team mates under the bus, but most of us have done those challenges too without resorting to that. I play normally and always manage to get my challenges done while still participating.

Prestige mean nothing in this game, sometimes a P1 is better than a 65... And this kind of people just get some satisfaction to be a douch, it's all, why saving people when you can just mocking them being hidden ?
BUT, technically, it's against the rule, so, try to signal them, you have nothing to loose
I agree it doesn't mean much in terms of skill, but I mean in terms of hiding you'd think by P8 they'd have gotten that out of their system and become a bit more of a functional team mate. But it's solo queue. I'm expecting too much I think
-
I had the funniest match. Two people DCd against a nurse so we got two bots. One was useless and couldn't last 5 seconds in chase so was taken out of the game asap, but the other one was cracked. She led the nurse on crazy long chases to the point where the nurse would give up. I would heal the bot asap because she was so good, and she'd take off and a short time later was back in chase. It was nuts. She outlasted me and the other guy and had zero hooks 🤣 I'm sure she got hatch too
-
Currently Windows, Overcome, Alert, and OTR. Gonna drop OTR for something else soon, maybe Buckle Up for a bit. Wanting to drop Windows since I've been using it for awhile but not sure what else to put in its place. It's such a useful perk for solo.

I believe it was due out in last September, but they said they ran into issues and nothing new sense then.
IIRC it was because of issues re the licensed DLCs. I honestly don't care about the licensed stuff, it'd be great if we could just get the base stuff crossed over to begin with. I'd love if all my past Rift cosmetics, charms, Prime cosmetics, etc, could be transferred over. If the licensing stuff happens later then great, but in the meantime I'd love everything else.

Still waiting :(

My preferences tend to change alot but I always enjoy going against Demo. Also Pyramid Head, Nurse, Billy, Nemesis, and Blight. Least favourites are Trickster, Huntress, Pinhead, Knight, and Skull Merchant. The rest I'm pretty indifferent to.
-
I know they're not real but I feel bad not trying to help them lol plus when the machines take over the world it'd be nice for the DBD AI program to be like 'this one looked out for me, she can live' 🤣
-
Can honestly say I've very very very rarely ever experienced this as survivor in the few years I've been playing. And I've never had one point me out to the killer. If it's happening often to you, then I'd be wondering why your team mates are constantly doing this. Are you not using your hook states as a resource? Are you spending most of your time hiding and not helping? Are you not actively taking the killer's attention when your team mates are on death hook or injured and you're healthy?

The MMR doesn't feel right. What I am really trying to say is, if you asked me to step back into the game to play at my peak from years ago, then no. That is impossible. I need to build up to that level of skill. It feels like I have been thrown back into a pool of skilled Rank 1s. I am getting queues with two or three 100 cap survivors and I JUST stepped back into the game. I cannot keep up and I feel like I am drowning. It isn't like I am a 7000 hour player who never quit playing like a streamer. I am simply a 600 hour player that came back casually. Sure, I am not "new" per se, but what IF someone was "new"? Is the recommendation for them to A) Just be miserable until they "get good". B) Stick to playing only survivor (making the game one dimensional) until they can play killer, C) Don't even try the role or move on. I feel really really bad for new players. There needs to be a skill scale. It doesn't feel that way AT ALL when I came back to survivor. It just felt natural like picking a bike back up.
Lobby dodging is one reason why newer killers get the more experienced survivors. The veteran killers they're matched with dodge them, and the game eventually prioritises queue times over accuracy and other killers will be used as backfill. So baby killers will get veteran survivors, as some veteran killers shop for baby survivors.
Matchmaking needs an overhaul 100% as lobby shopping is absolutely not the sole reason this happens, but it certainly doesn't help. Many of us have said before that this game has become very new player unfriendly.
-
Team mates probably crouching in corners, doing nothing.
-
It's not easy to tell. You're already trying to keep ahead of 4 people and apply pressure. Taking note of every single person's behaviour on top of that is too much.
-
Yes... it's crazy to me how awesome Zarina's cosmetics are on mobile, yet on our version she gets things like the pilot outfit :/
-
SBMM (Skill Based Match Making) was the big change in that time. I'd keep playing for a few weeks and see how your games settle.

I agree.
By far the hardest thing about SoloQ is the other Survivors.
But people keep blaming Killer, probably because it's the Killer that is hooking them.
The REAL MMR that needs fixed is what other Survivors you get paired with in Solo.
Yeah the killer was fine in this game, did nothing wrong. My next game i had a Leon doing the same thing, and the game after that a Dwight that kept jumping in and out of lockers and randomly throwing pallets. I wish they got matched with each other but then I'd feel bad for whatever killer had to deal with them.

I just played a game vs the spirit. I was downed while someone else was hooked. None of the other two bothered coming to pick me up, they were only trying to unhook the guy and getting hit in the process.
When the spirit finally hooked me, they ran to unhook the other guy and got hit again in the processed. I tried my best for 4% and for some reason my controller dc while I had to hit the skill checks :o
Hate when my controller does that... ;)
On a serious note, you often see people coming here wondering why some players let go on hook. I can honestly say it's often not because of the killer but because they can see their team mates being useless while they hang there.

Alien, "everybody" knows it.
I know it from my 6 and 8 year old kids

Everyone gets something different out of the game depending on their expectations. I hold no expectations, so I get no disappointments. As survivor, if you expect to escape consistently you'll likely be disappointed. If you expect competent team mates, you'll likely be disappointed. If you haven't played survivor before then you'll have plenty of survivor tome challenges to get through, so I'd focus on those. It's what I do as it gives you a sense of accomplishing something, even if you die. You don't need to throw the game to get them done either as most you'll get naturally as you play.

If it's fun, then keep going. If it's not fun, then stop. It's a game at the end of the day. Games are supposed to be enjoyable. I've been playing for a few years and there's only two killers I actually enjoy playing (have tried several). I think learning a killer perkless is a decent goal, but all of then? Tough call.

Everyone seems to be convinced a Xenomorph power has to involve laying eggs for some reason, but that really doesn't fit with the concept at all. Only the Queen lays eggs.
I would assume the eggs would already be in the game when you load in, as opposed to the Xenomorph laying them. Then the Xenomorph/player can just direct the facehuggers to emerge and hit people.

You're a new player with less than 100 hours, according to your other post, and you're already complaining about a primary mechanic in the game. Maybe the game just isn't for you?
