It's not competitive at all. Some killers and survivors are playing as if it is, but it's not.
-
Another nurse bashing thread. The hate continues.
-
Top 5% MMR nurse stats are not broken but average and similar as every other killer. If anything, she needs QoL buffs like plaid basekit to encourage more players to try her.

SOME KILLER PERK

The hard truth is that if you were repairing the last gen when the 2nd is being carried, he would not betray you and would try to buy as much time as possible so you two can escape.

Plaything is decent slowdown and it can be hard for survivors to ignore oblivious against a nurse.
They can still hear her scream no matter what.
-
LOL who plays Plaything on nurse ? Weird.
-
You are not supposed to unhook next to the killer. And yes, you should be punished for it.
If the killer is camping bring reassurance, or smash gens and leave. Stop asking for the easy and free 4 man escape.
This would be a massive buff to unhooking, meaning you only have a tap the hook to guarantee the save, that’s stupid. It negates any kind of skill from the killer or survivor perspective.

Even more reason to rework her...
It gives me no solace knowing that at low mmrs people think nurse is fun to face, when the Nurses I face have practiced enough with her to negate the skill of those she faces.
They have been slowly removing/reworking "I-win" buttons (keys, moris, super OP addons, syringes/haddonfield map offering). Nurse is just next on a long list of things that players can/could use to easily win the game.
She doesn't negate skill, but I agree that she can be unfun to face, especially if you face her often at high MMR...at the same time, going against SWF over and over is not fun either. She is the final boss of the game and that's a good thing.
-
I have never seen a killer slap me on the hook during my 2000h of DBD.
-
Because she has the lowest winrate. It doesn’t matter if 1% are good when 99% don’t win games…

And NWO supposed to work after all gens finished, not after hatch closed. If killer killed 3 survivors and closed hatch, this perk should not give them free kill. This perk is makes escape imposible for the last survivor. But i think you are asking for free kills and you are okey with it?
It’s very easy to find hatch before the killer, use clairvoyance.
NWO activates once the gates are powered closing the hatch or repairing the gens, the same way Adrenaline works.
-
The issue with making perks basekit is getting free value for no effort. The best exemple is Kindred. Free info that will make the killer life so miserable it will encourage tunneling and worse, facecamping.
If you want to make a perk basekit, you have to chose something that is rewarding survivors for playing well and coordinated like Aftercare. Same thing for killers.

Alright, if survivors finished gens then they deserves to keep OTR and DS. They should back to old versions.
OTR and DS are design to stop tunneling early and mid game.
If you want to make them work in endgame, then disable them before end game collapse (playing with 3 perks only like NWO) and then it will be even.
OP is whining because he is camping the gate with wake up and sole survivor and got his easy escape denied.
-
I never understood why Killers can’t grab survivors healing.
-
So you are throwing because you got caught by the killer. Interesting.

Average killers will drop chase with you if they feel you are somewhat more decent than the others and will go look for the weak links. That's the case at most low to mid MMR matches. Killers drop their chases with me most of the time when i don't go down for a minute and will deliberately ignore me even if i give them a free hit for attention.
Though i don't blame them for such tactic but it's not as easy as you make it sound.
True but you already wasted a ton of time for the killer.
If you looped the killer for 2 gen minimum, it’s very easy to win at this point. It’s not uncommon to repair 3 gen on average as a solo survivor in low MMR.
That’s why I recommend to play :
- Dead hard, Overzealous, Inner healing, Clairvoyance. Low MMR build, break a totem early game and smash the gens or loop the killer. You don’t need teamates to heal yourself (inner healing) and you get aura on gens (very good to be efficient and prevent a 3gen), exit doors and hatch. If the match is lost, Clairvoyance will guarantee hatch 90% of the time.
- Dead hard, Stack out, Hyperfocus, Prove thyself (or Clairvoyance still, but less useful,or Reassurance if you want altruism) for Mid to High MMR when you have decent teamates (that can loop). With this you simply destroy gens as fast as you can and get ton of value for being close to the killer (saves, being chased).

You have the best takes on these forums, hands down. Is that why your icon is no mither?
Coming from you, one of the biggest troll of this forum, it’s a compliment. All you do is cry all day about "the state of soloQ" without giving advice or fixes for devs so much that I am positive you are a killer main at this point (like Sluzzy the nurse god).

Considering your teammates can easily screw you over and drop your MMR, this feels flawed.
Some matches can’t be carried (and are not winnable) but a good survivor can carry some other matches, making a difference overall and will climb the MMR.
Stop blaming your team for everything. Even if the match is 100% lost, you can still find hatch and save your MMR. Play Clairvoyance.
-
Repair gen and loop the killer. If you can’t keep the killer busy then you don’t deserve better teamates.
-
The only toxic thing in what you described is you calling the killer bad for getting 4k or thinking you are the only good player in your team. If you are not happy with randoms, play with your friends and stop trashtalking.
Also bodyblocking (the hatch) is not toxic.

Bro unless you are getting tunneled by blight, nurse or spirit It's a you a problem. If you are getting hard tunneled from the getgo against a m1 killer pre throw the entire map and you will probably be the only one dead by the end. While the three I mentioned can eventually catch you in a spot where you don't make it to a pallet m1 killer's can't. I don't get the sentiment that tunneling = auto win because it's really not. You have to 1 be going against the top killers and 2 have teammates who are not doing gens. There is a reason pre throwing and w is the comp strategy, it works.
I am not defending tunneling just stating an obvious fact.
If you think most pallets are safe that’s a you problem.
A lot of killers have powers to deal with loops, tunneling while proxycamping is very effective.
-
Try tunneling fast and hard 90% of your problems will be solved as Killer

This is big too. Challenges are alot of the time "throw game for bonus bp". Sabotage 12 hooks. Want that done this millenium? Better waste a bunch of time every game breaking pointless hooks or you'll be on this challenge a while. Just an example.
Just use Saboteur…without throwing that’s 3-4 games. If you throw you can use a chase build (because you will alert the killer a lot) and do a in a single trial.

you got to be kidding me
no where does it say he was using them as meat shields, also maybe he good at out chasing the killer who knows.
but I'm solo and I end up do 2 gens by mself some time and do safe rescues take hits for survivors I don't know and out run the killer for 2 gens and after all that I'm sometime never get hooked.
but sometime when after doing all that good stuff gens, totems, safe rescues if I do get hooked I get left behind after saving all they butts.
this (all the survivors have to take turn so the team can win) sounds like BS people making up to justified them acting like jerks.
Doing 2 gens by yourself is nothing hard in solo. Most games I do 3 to 4 gens by myself. Also he never said he was taking hits, but only unhooking and healing.

Blaming the victim
It looks like the real victims are your teamates. Especially when you say they can’t loop the killer for too long…after you instant unhook them. Maybe take hits next time instead of blaming them ?

Yes they do. I don't get teabagging/insults on all my killer games. But then again, I also dont sweat, dont tunnel, dont camp etc.
A lot of veteran survivors have left the game, they got replaced by old killer mains (like me, greedy for the +100% bonus BP) and new players. That’s why the new generation is more respectful.
-

"Farming them" by unhooking and healing the team with safe rescues? What.
If they are all on death hook except you who didn’t get hook once (because you use them as meat shields), how do you call that ? Sometimes all the survivors have to take turn so the team can win.
-
Looks like you were farming them, unhook and healing while staying away of the killer heat. Also not doing any generator, so I can understand why they were mad.
And maybe that dude had resilience or was 99’.
-
I consider myself a killer main, but I think this perk is fine.
- First of all, you don’t need hyperfocus + stack out to slam gens, especially in swf. If survivors wants a 4min game, they will have it and everyone will get 10k BP. This won’t change even if you remove these perks.
- This perk makes skill checks fun and skillful. Yesterday, Otz tried to prove how busted this combo was during stream, all he did was making gens explode (and got no value), saying things like "so if this was jolt instead of me failing the skill check, I would have repaired this gen in 85s", please…if anything he proved this perk can be a killer perk in the wrong hands. And I consider Otz a good player.
-
I like it on Wesker with Pentimento. Survivors are used to the 40m TR and get caught of guard too much
-
Actually there are 4 sides :
solo
swf
killer
nurse
-
So as a nurse main, I don’t see anything wrong with what he wrote.
RPD is not the worst nurse map. The map is smaller now, and you have better sightlines. The middle is stronger for nurse because you can have 2 gens close there.
Also playing against nurse can be boring af so I understand the salt.

That is rarely the situation but you can wait the ds out in that situation and defend the remaining 3 gen area which should not be too hard if you use slow downs.
Oh so it's better to slug and camp the body with slowdown than engage in chases. What a fun and exciting gameplay.
-
I don't have any issue using dead hard. Maybe get good ?

Go for the person that he unhooked to get his deliverance up, pressure that one. Or sit on the one you just downed and wait for the 60 second timer before slapping them back on the hook. You have options, bud.
EDIT: Also, do you know how conditional this entire thing is? Should the survivor just get zero value from two perk slots and a ton of prep work because you feel slighted?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3170130#Comment_3170130
I have used DH in two matches, and never used DS or OTR.
So your options for the killer are :
- throw the match by leaving the area and destroying your 3-4 gen, allowing anyone to get in the area and remove all your pressure. So much value for a single perk.
- slug the survivor and camp the body
What a fun and interesting gameplay. By the way, by going for the person he got deliverance from, do you want the killer to tunnel him or not ? Because going for the same survivor is tunneling right ?
-
@Firellius said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3170102#Comment_3170102
I mean... I literally said that DS should be baseline, so I don't know why that's a big leap.
And yes. Because otherwise tunnelling is a really overpowered strategy that any killer can employ at any time without any investment. Halved chases, early cuts in survivor potential, the game's only reasons not to tunnel are DS and OTR. So when DS is a perk that barely hinders the killer, it doesn't do its job and in fact can even make that job easier, considering other perks (Lithe, Quick & Quiet, Fixated) could actually make the chase itself harder.
Again, literally all you have to do is either not chase a survivor that was just unhooked, or not pick them up.
Let’s pretend you are the killer, on coldwind farm.
- All the remaining gens are close to the hook, except one far away, at the opposite side of the map.
- You know all the remaining survivors are on that gen far away, not worth defending (you saw them with BBQ).
- The survivor hooked use deliverance, you chase him and down him again.
Now what are you supposed to do according to you ?
-
@Firellius said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3170091#Comment_3170091
The killer can disable the entire perk by not hitting spacebar on a survivor that was unhooked in the last 60 seconds.
All it takes is not pressing a button to reduce the perk's value to zero.
So you want the perk to be so meta that all the killers have to play as if all the survivors have it.
This remind me of old dead hard, when survivors had 15min+ queue despite needing only 1 player willing to play killer (vs 4 survivor, do the maths). Good days.
The only thing BHVR can do to please you and keep queue time decent for everyone is to introduce bots killers who don’t ever camp / tunnel.
-
It will nerf bad killers and do nothing against strong killers.
@Firellius said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3169747#Comment_3169747
DS should maybe not have been buffed to 5 seconds when it was, but it got nerfed really harshly afterwards, at which point it deserved to be 5 seconds.
The 6.0 update was waaaaay more than just the DS change, and 'stale meta' is an asinine reason to keep a perk in an unplayable state. DS was objectively not very powerful, either, considering how unlikely it was to fire. With the EGC nerf, it's become even less likely to fire, so it's more deserving of that 5 second stun than it ever was. Hell, it could go up to 7 seconds and still be fair.
Killers should fear a perk if they work really hard to make that perk fire. DS requires the killer to hunt and down a survivor who has been unhooked in the last 60 seconds before they can do anything to aid their team, and then pick them up. That is a triple whammy of killer input that is required to get this perk to play out, and especially the last condition is so blatantly in the killer's control that any competent killer is not going to get hit by DS.
If you do literally everything wrong and make this perk fire, you should be punished for it proportional to how badly you screwed up, and DS requires a pretty monumental screw-up.
Honestly, 5 second stun DS should be baseline, and the perk DS should disable the killer's active powers for 10 seconds after the stun ends as an extra 'up yours' to Nurse and Blight. And hey, if you make DS baseline, the perk itself likely won't be picked as much, so you don't have to worry about a 'stale meta'!
First of all, you should fear the killer, not the other way around.
Eating a DS is not a « monumental screw-up ». The killer has no clue if the survivor has DS or not.
This version of DS would be S tier tier, above everything else. 7s DS, disabling killers powers, if you don’t play it you are throwing.
-
I still use dead hard. Get good.
-
New concept : gen camping.
-
I have been playing almost only survivor this past month and I don’t agree with you. I win some and lose some.
For solo queue I play : clairvoyance, inner healing, overzealous, dead hard. It’s fun both early game to avoid 3gen and end game if you need hatch.
When I want to be more altruistic I go with : Aftercare, BT, Dead hard, Windows of Opportunity

The epitome of double standards as a killer. Very little counterplay if the player is decent, busted addons and perk synergy, as strong as nurse with the right build in the right hands, and utter tripe to play against. And yet this community apparently loves him.
He's more fair than nurse but that isn't a high bar to cross. I think making him 4.4m/s would fix a lot of his issues.
He is very easy to play that's why. Both survivors and most killers hate Nurse, but most players can play Blight. This community is mostly casuals.
