Some killer perk changes

This will focus more on the regression perks, but the idea is to nerf some really oppressive perks and buff others:

Brutal strength- increase the base regression from 2,5 to 5%. Just a small buff to this useful perk nothing big.

Eruption- Remove the cooldown and the incapacitated. Its to hard to counter from the survivor side and the cooldown is annoying on the killer side

Ruin- Generators regresse at 200%, but after a total of 90 charges of generators have been removed the perk deactivate. Basically pre-nerf ruin but now has a cap that can only fully regresse 1 gen, i think its better than the 1 player out of the game that it has now and still ensures that it wont be to oppressive against less coordinated teams.

Oppression- reduce the cooldown to 60 seconds. 80 seconds is a bit to long

POP- After hooking a survivor the next generator you kick will lose an extra 15% progress- Make the regression as strong as pain ress and remove the time limit

Call of brine- after kicking a gen it will regress at 200% for 60 seconds, during the time the perk active if a survivor stops repairing the gen it will start regressig automatically. There can only be 1 gen affected by call of brine at the time- Basically limit the perk to 1 gen only and removing the information, while making the regression effect more potent

Overwhelming presence- For the first 90 seconds of a trial, survivors cannot use itens, after hooking a survivor for 30 seconds itens will loose charge at 200% of normal rate- A perk to counter itens besides franklin, numbers could change, but i think it should be effective and could be played around by smart survivors

So do you like the ideas? Any changes? Any other perk you would like changes?

  • SOME KILLER PERK CHANGES NERFS

  • Brutal - OK

Eruption - You have to buff the regression by quite a lot OR just reduce the duration of the effect. Don't remove it. Would be trash perk otherwise.

Ruin - OK if it is no longer Hex (since it will turn itself off anyway). As a Hex, no. Trash.

    Oppression - Totaly agree.

Pop - Keep the time limit and it would be again strong perk. No time limit = too good imo.

Call of Brine - is fine allready. Don't change it.

Overhelming Pr. - No. Sounds 1) very complicated, 2) It would be trash perk after 90 seconds passed. I don't like this idea.

Eruption, i think it would be fine, i think that giving it more regression would be to strong, to keep the incapacitated status effect, the only way i think it would be fair is if the perk activates from hooks rather than downs. The perk needs to have counter play that doesn't rely on coms.

POP, i am fine with POP being strong, i think its a fair perk like pain res, but than maybe increase the time limit for 60 secs, i dont want the perk to only be good with speedy killers

Ruin- yes it would be an hex, the charge limit is just to not let the perk get out of hand, i think that before the nerf you wouldn't get 90 charges of value from Ruin most games, it would be an entire gen of value, almost 7 pain res, again you dont usually get that many, but if you think it should have more charges, or a way to get charges back, sure. As long as it doesn't get out of hand against bad survivors.

Call of brine- hmm i think its to much value for a perk that is always active with no cooldown, the idea was to limit the application to 1 gen while keeping it strong, but i admit that i am not to sure

Overwhelming- What exactly is complicated? Do you prefer the current terror radius requirement? The idea is for the perk to counter toolboxes, since franklin's doesnt really help that much with that endeavor. What dont you like about the second effect, the hook requirement, the duration, would you prefer to keep the no item effect from the start of the match instead?

    Thanks for your comment xD

    • Brutal Strength is already a fairly popular perk, it’s around the #15 most used perk on Nightlight for instance, so it doesn’t really need a buff to see more usage. It’s actually a decent chase perk since you can get a survivor onto the side of a pallet facing a dead zone and break it and they will get noticeably less distance from you to reach safety.
    • I could maybe see Eruption get its Incapacitation maybe being reduced a bit since it’s been one of the top used perks since the rework. I wouldn’t be surprised if the devs have been monitoring that one.
    • Ruin could maybe use a slight buff to put its regression between where it was rework and where it is now. Note though that it is still seeing average use even in its current state, probably because it still works ok on certain high mobility killers who can chase people off gens over and over. (It’s definitely weaker than it was though!)
    • I agree that Oppression could use a buff. Reducing or even eliminating the cooldown on it and/or increasing how many gens it hits when you trigger it would help.
    • Pop is ok as is, it actually gives decent regression so long as you kick gens that are worth kicking. It’s also still seeing well above average use so it doesn’t need to be buffed for that purpose. Comparing it to Pain Resonance is faulty because if anything Pain Resonance might need to be slightly nerfed still since it’s been the consistent number one killer perk after the rework.
    • I disagree with removing the information from Call of Brine, without that it’s too similar to Overcharge. I do think Call of Brine could stand to be slightly weakened though, either by limiting how many gens it can be on or by lowering its regression rate slightly.
    • Overwhelming Presence could certainly use a buff. One way might be to simply increase or eliminate its range restriction and/or increase its consumption rate penalty.
