"abusing perks"
lol
Can't win playing solo instead of SWF ? Sounds like a skill issue. Your MMR will adjust.

THIS THREAD IS LITERALLY ASKING FOR CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM
We have ton of nurse threads with survivors arguing with each other how nurse is broken and every part of her kit should be nerfed. You know it, because you post in every single one of them.

Was about to comment this is what the thread is for but @Pulsar beat me to it. Lol You sound so goofy when you don't read the thread and just see "Nurse."
You are probably new here because we have already tons of rework nurse threads. It’s becoming boring at this point to see the same spam over and over on these forums.
-
Lmao another nurse thread complaining and not giving any constructive criticism.
If you want to know how she can be "fixed" (she doesn’t need any rework btw), do a research…

It’s the same dude who said Lightborn was OP. Whatever it takes to get views.

Well...sure? But that's both a product of just how the game works (killers need to stop survivors doing gens) and how mediocre/bad non regression perks are. Like...can you name me three universally good killer perks that aren't aura reading or regression? Because I'd struggle to.
I'm seeing a very wide variety of survivor perks though. Lots of info on top of gen/ex perks.
The problem is that if you buff lethality perks, people don't like it - because it makes them die faster. Before Eruption took over the QQ train, it was STBFL, and before that Starstruck.
Unless you completely change the way the game plays, killers will always want a lot of regression.
Agitation, Noed, No way out.
-
So if you don’t want to watch Scott Jund video, he is basically saying Killers should not try to win, especially if survivors are bad because of the broken matchmaking. Tunneling and any form of camping is making the community worse. Please follow the survivor rulebook, thanks. Btw, you don’t have skill if you do that.
Very enlightening, never heard this before. Thanks Scott Jund.
-
Your change to CoH is insignificant but you are destroying gen regression.
The new meta for survivors would be CoH and full lobby of toolbox + genrush perks. Very, very boring to play as and against.
As or killers, the new meta would be, end game and genblock perks with deadlock, corrupt, no way out, and noed with heavy tunneling and facecamping. Because you can’t defend generators, you can only defend hooks and secure kills. Very boring for killers and a great source of frustration and toxicity for survivors.

Now how's that going to prevent the 3 randoms I get matched with to do whatever gen they wanna do?
It doesn’t matter what they are doing. You can repair gens yourself. Usually doing the right 1 or 2 can prevent that.

Not everybody has to play the game 8 hours a day.🤡
You don’t have to. It’s a party game, break a totem with Clairvoyance and tada you can prevent any 3gen.

IF 3 gen happens it's because I am playing solo q (literally I am talking about solo q - its in the thread title) and you cannot coordinate what everyone else is doing, your teammates have no idea what gens is everyone else on if everyone spreads out and they have no idea where or where not to run the killer because they do not know where everyone else is
The killer can only chase 1 survivor at the same time, soloQ or not it’s a skill issue if you let a 3gen happen.
@Venusa said:

Cause you don't control all 4 survivors yourself. It's a multiplayer game.💀
Skill issue. Play Clairvoyance.

oh here is the regular I will counter your arguments with my arguments about the other side
adrenaline - the survivors have to finish the gens to do even get value from this 1 time use perk and it still does not guarantee it will achieve anything unless you can coordinate some cool adrenaline play - which you cannot in solo q
unbreakable - are you serious? It's the killer's mistake he slugged someone, the killer made a risky choice, and if there's unbreakable in play
it's on them
dead hard - nerfed
old ds - nerfed
off the record - nerfed, does not work end game
bnps and syringe are powerful yes but not in the same extent eruption is, unless you once again have 4 man team with 4 bnps which you won't have in your average solo q match
yes because I am able to control if 3 gen happens or no in solo :) and if the killer has gen-kicking perks there are high chances that at the point of the match where we are at 1 gen or 2 gens left all gens have been kicked :)
I personally have nothing against old killer meta with ruin undying as they are easily countered, even pr/dms has a counter when you are on your own, but Eurption is overtuned far more than those older killer meta perks
Why did you let a 3 gen happen ?
-
Sadako, Pyramidhead for basekit.
-
She is boring.
-
Hide end game chat, disable comment section on steam and play with survivors as if they are NPC.
-
The only counter to the healing meta is tunneling. Just go for that injured survivor, it’s not worth trying to injure everyone when they can heal so fast.

1) which strategy is this thread about, again? Oh, right, the slugging-for-condemned.
2) UB and Exponential (which I assume you mean, not my-speedboost-on-hit-is-longer) barely show up any more, if exponential ever did. Yes, CoH allowing for unlimited free self-healing does negate the ring drawing, but that just encourages the slugging.
1) You still slug with Iri Video tape and Bloody fingernails. You do it to bait survivors near TVs and get fat condemn stacks.
2) UB and Coh are S tier perks. And Overcome is A. And I forgot medkits earlier which are very common. This thread only proved that this strat has a lot of counters. Survivors are dying because they want to genrush and ignore tapes. OP is complaining about being slugged, all you have to do is bring UB. That’s it.
-

"The strategy that heavily involves healing actions spreading condemned doesn't slug to spread condemned" is a funny take on it. I've played it, you don't avoid hooking because hooking is slow, you avoid hooking because being slugged is two chances to spread condemned and progress to the mori, while being unhooked is only one.
Good Onryos play Iri Video tape and Bloody fingernails. Ring drawing is for noobs and easy to counter with coh, ub and overcome. Also good survivors will pre leave the gens and won’t take any hit.
-
@RainehDaze said:

True, but someone else can tap the damn thing and then boom another kick. I also think Jolt can get a regressing gen, but I might be remembering the interactions wrong.
(Blocking it also means that the time where it can't be worked on doesn't have regression, which at least alleviates the extra ~6s of work needed from an incapacitated survivor not being able to stop regression)
It’s a survivor mistake then. All can be avoided
- don’t be greedy by taping the gen near the killer
- don’t be greedy by staying injured near the gen when the killer is coming.
-
@RainehDaze said:
Eruption should just entity block the relevant gen. Affects everyone equally then, doesn't regress, Killer can't go back and stack extra regression on it.
The killer can’t stack regression on it already because it’s regressing.
You cannot kick a regressing gen.
-
You guys complain about everything.
- Killer downing too fast (nurse, blight, spirit) ? Not fun, please nerf.
- Killer defending hooks (trapper, hag) ? Not fun, please nerf.
- Killer having slowdown to defend gens (pinhead) ? Not fun, please nerf.
- Killer having antiloop (artist, pyramid head) ? Not fun, please nerf.
Sadako is actually the perfect killer in your survivor rulebook. She doesn’t tunnel or camp. You don’t like her because :
- she doesn’t commit to a chase for 5 gens like a dog
- she punishes genrush
Also, she does slug but not to spread condemn (it’s not her strongest addon). She does it only because it takes too much time to hook a survivor. To counter this strategy, all you have to do is tapes or use UB, overcome or bastmine (I know that’s hard to not be a metaslave). That’s it. Respect her power. Now leave this killer in peace and go post another nurse nerf thread.
-
I am sorry but Ada is the victim here. You hate crime her by tunneling, please apologize to her asap and to the whole community of survivors for this disgusting gameplay.

I couldn't name one player who was banned for blatantly cheating
Doesn't mean they are not being banned
Being AFK and not participating in normal gameplay is listed as a bannable offense, so it should be safe to assume that people will be banned if they are reported enough times
It’s bannable but afk players don’t get banned. Nobody cares about reporting them, and even if you do report them, maybe they were opening the door or something.
Cheaters do get banned.
-
@Lycidas said:

Being AFK is bannable. You need to be reported multiple times for that reason to be banned, but it's totally bannable.
Basement chest bubba somewhat falls under the same category but meh, it's not as annoying so there are way lower possibilities of survivors reporting you for that.
Stealing items build are a memey build, but you're not afk while using that build, slightly annoying yes, not bannable.
DCing already comes with a temporary ban.
Giving up should be treated very similarly to being AFK: do you give up once every 2 weeks? Eh, you're fine. Do you give up every other game? Maybe you shouldn't be playing DBD
Name one player who has ever been banned for being AFK.

Nurse had the single highest pickrate in the stats of October in high brackets, not counting Wesker. "She is not popular" is very much false.
If you are talking about this : https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/350586/stats-kill-rate-by-killer-and-mmr-september-2022#latest
Top MMR
- Nurse : 6,12% pickrate - 61,22% killrate
- The Mastermind : 25% pickrate - 65,82% killrate
"No counting Wesker", yep I wonder why. She is not a problem. For reference, her killrate is close to Dredge, Cenobite, Spirit, Oni, Wraith. Yes, I said Wraith. She is not a problem.
-
It's a hot take but I really like Feng, Jane, Zarina, and Nea with flashlights, especially when they miss their flashsaves. Most of the time I give them hatch, after searching for the hiding Claudette for 5min because I always think they deserve it for trying their best.
-
Nurse is not a problem, she is not popular and her winrates are not problematic even at high MMR. She may not be fun to face or have many counters, but survivors still manage to escape. But tbh, I am glad you guys are obsessed with her, because I play way more oppressive killers now (hello Sadako condemned only) and don't get attacked in the end game chat as much as before when she was my main.
-
I think OP is trying to prove a point with a trap : if you don't agree with these claims, you don't deserve to complain about the killer playing smart (tunneling, camping, ect...). OP is showing the double standard in the community pushed by the majority : survivors.
-
OK I had no idea about this one and I am obsessed with Sadako. Thanks.
-
It is countered by distorsion, a meta perk. It is fine.

I switched to Pentimento/Plaything combo, but I mainly play Dredge so...
I used this for a long time on my Blight. At some point survivors will ignore your totems and just genrush. But it’s still a lot of fun.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but i think Undying Ruin was a healthy combo for the game, since survivors didn´t have to cleanse Ruin at all and could just ignore it. Unlike Eruption.
And yet we had post like these all the time with the old meta.
Remember when you guys said noed was unfair ? How does it sound now lmao ?
-
@Mooks said:
I mean.. that’s still very skewed because of your region, time of day/week you play, your MMR and possibly countless of other reasons
but in general, Eruption and Dead Hard are very often used, sure, nobody is denying that at all.

Hex perks weren’t that strong before and haven’t been gutted that much recently though? Also pain nerfed? It’s still very much high up in usage?
You could stack Pain and DMS it was enough regression to save slots for info perks. And survivors could counter it.
Now it’s better to run 4 regression.
-
So old meta was better, you could chose hex perks, pain, dms, pentimento, pop, ect…
Now that hex are gone, pain info nerfed, dms nerfed, pentimento too situational, pop nerfed, you are stuck with eruption. Buff other regression perks and you will see less eruption.
-
Don’t play the game if you don’t enjoy it. People ragequit when they think they lost and don’t care about BP it’s that simple.
It doesn’t matter how fun or balanced the game is and it’s not unique to DBD.
-
OW2 = Competitive game. Winning is all that matters.
DBD = Casual game heavily dependent on RNG. Escaping or killing doesn’t really matter that much, it’s more about having fun with each unique map / killer power. You can play DBD how you want, you can DC the penalty is short tbh, you can throw as survivor playing a trash build nobody is going to report you. Same goes for killer, you can play huntress / deathslingers trying to get fancy shots and chilling. Also DBD has a big roleplay side with the skins, I mean why some people play Jeff who is huge when they can pick Feng who is small and can hide easier ? Probably because Jeff is cooler for them.

Is anyone gonna mention pairing this with Stakeout?
Try Hyperfocus, Stakeout, Fogwise, Provethyself or CoH. It’s a good stealth solo build.
-
They say you are not supposed to play him like Artist but win with "macro strategy" and hold a 3 gen or camp / proxy camp 🤷🏻♂️ Any m1 can do that with STBFL…
Or that you are supposed to zone survivors into corner, and then he will be good…like all m1 killers…
-
@ByeByeQ said:
It's just another meh survivor aura perk, on par with Alert. And that's only if the game gives you skill checks.
Bond is still the best choice for an aura perk for survivors. It's always on, gives more information and can help you get healed.
Fogwise will give you way more info, can be used right at the start of the game. If you are decent with skillchecks, you will have perma wall hacks on the killer…that’s insane value. Even in a SWF, having one survivor use the perk to tell everyone the exact position is very good.
The new aura reading perk for killer is also very good, especially for Blight and Nurse with kick builds.

Another nurse hate thread :
- blaming someone for playing the character they like in a video game
- blaming for using addons
- blaming for trying to win
- toxic in chat and has to bring toxicity on the forums
-
You wanted MMR, you got derankers
-
You guys wanted a kick meta instead of ruin / undying or dead man switch, you got it. Enjoy.
-
Nurse is not a popular killer and her winrate is not problematic, even at high MMR.
If you tryhard with any killer, you can get very good winrates. Otz made a video about that.
-
It’s funny how the mods don’t care about the nurse hate and toxicity from survivors. Imaging receiving death threats for playing a character in a video game. Disgusting community.
-
Just lower your MMR. Let them all escape.
-
No matter what you do, you will always be accused by survivors at high MMR of camping, or at least tunneling at some point, even if you played as "fair" as possible.
