  • I've found that the most toxic of players aren't complaining about legitimate issues. They are:

    1) Frustrated with a game mechanic or portion of gameplay, but are unable to voice/type their thoughts. So they revert to base Internet behavior like "Yo mama" and similar, because they can't vocalize their frustrations.

    2) Pissed off at themselves for screwing up. Much the same as #1, but in this instance they want to deny their poor performance and instead throw it on a second party because it makes them feel better. It's not my fault, it's yours.

    3) They've been raised to believe that insulting someone online doesn't count because "Internet rules", or some form of this logic. At that point, anything is fair game be it racism, sexism, or your best "mom" joke. They just don't understand that it is unacceptable behavior because their parents didn't teach them very good manners. Can also be a learned behavior from spending years online and involved in social media culture.

    4) They're just a piece of filth human. The rarest form, these people are just complete wastes of humanity. Their lives are so void and despair filled that they have to insult others and trash talk them to fill that empty space and relieve a bit of the despair they feel. If they don't do this, then they have to face the fact their life is utter garbage, and quite frankly they probably should do themselves the favor. This type is becoming more prevalent though because of social media outlets encouraging this behavior and the rise of Cancel Culture.

    5) Because I really did spend time with your mother last night. In some instances, this might be a fact and not an insult. Always check your facts before dismissing a statement.

    6) Because people have to be "cool" in front of their friends. Most toxicity I get comes from SWF teams (received and watching it in post-game). Trying to act like a hardass in front of your teammates is a good bonding experience. It does tend to backfire though when that Killer remembers you and gives you a good taste of karma (done it a few times even though I try to be a better person).

As far as game mechanics go though, if it's not cheating, it's not toxic. My opinion though. I hate being camped, tunneled and all the rest, but it is part of the game and there are times the Killer MUST do these actions if they want to achieve specific victory conditions. This is not toxic, it's part of the game the way BHVR made it. If they did not want this in the game, and ffs it's been chewed over so many times, it would not be there.

  • Freddy with a slow down build. Most boring games I've ever played. I want to have fun and excitement, get chased, juke the Killer or die trying. Not slog through 30 minutes of trying to repair gens because he decided 3-gen'ing from the start was a good idea. He does nothing and gets passive slowdown effects, which can be worsened with an add-on. At least make him have to interact with the Survivors before getting buffs.

Spirit needs a bit of balance I think. She's the easiest Killer to kill with for any level of play because there isn't much you can do besides walk away when you hear the turbine. I don't think she's that bad though, any Killer is great when played by a great player. I feel a lot of people want to run everywhere and they don't think about the fact that's partly how she tracks when she's phasing and they need to walk more often.

  • Is that an actual bug there, or just a display issue?

That was a thing since the game started, where it would say 0 or -1, but in reality you did actually get the pip or safety. It was just outputting the wrong number to your screen.

The Unbroken thing is a problem though. I rarely survive, so getting a bronze or silver in Unbroken helps my ranking. Currently sitting at 8, but it's pretty damn difficult to get a pip right now. Mostly just safety.

firstly I have played survivor. The hits are the least of the problems, check my post the other day raging about the matchamking. rank 1 meta tryhardss and the game gives me rank 18 survivors to work with. Fun.

secondly you obviously havent played killer. If only it was a whiff and a few seconds lost. Those whiffs allow survivors to make pallets/vaults and that can really drag out the chase

Matchmaking issues may be the result of the Unbroken Emblem being Broken. People are depipping where they used to at least safety, so Red Ranks are thinning out. This will definitely cause Matchmaking problems when your supply of players decreases and Matchmaking starts grabbing anyone they can find.

It's gotten slowly worse for me day by day since the patch dropped. First day or so, really solid matchmaking overall. Now, it's either great or complete rainbow. I play with Crossplay on if that makes a difference. Can see this issue becoming more prevalent the further we go without a fix for the Emblem. Play in Purple Ranks right now, and it was high Green -> Purple for the first couple days on both sides.

They need to do a full pass on their servers, imo at least. Ever since it went to dedicated servers, there have been a lot of BS hits. Whatever this bug (maybe bugs?) is, it's just exaggerated the problems that have been in game since that time. Until they can "fix" the dedicated servers (whatever that might entail), hits will always be buggy. We're just seeing it more often now.

  • Don't look for them. Just find them as you play normally. Otherwise, it'll be an exercise in frustration.

Luckily found mine 3 matches in a row. Just happened to walk right past them. First time scared the hell out of me because it's a pretty damn bright red glow that pops in on you.

And as mentioned, listen for the sound. Completely new one, so it's pretty obvious it's not a normal gameplay mechanic.

  • Huntress is fine, but the hits from her hatchets have been broken for close to 2 years? Much the same with Hag's Phantasm Hits not scoring properly. They are still broken, many times not registering or registering in-game but not for her Dailies.

There's a few other bugs that have been in the game for various Killers for the past couple years, and probably not going to be fixed until they fix the latency issues with the servers. It was actually better when it was Peer to Peer to be quite honest. You'd get the occasional lag switcher, but overall connection strength was MUCH more stable.

  • I'd rework the Trapper's mori so that he put the Survivor's head in one of his traps and snapped it shut. Maybe do a little cinematic sequence where the Survivor struggles a bit before the Trapper overpowers them and SPLAT!

  • They should never have put notifications that there is a Hex in play. That used to be part of the game, actually having to think about "Why did that person get downed so fast? Oh, 3 hooks, they're running Devour Hope. That's 4, let's not get to 5 so they can Mori us."

Asking questions used to be the norm, I know that's how I learned an enormous amount of information about the game. Now it's just "Put it on the HUD and they can look up the effects themselves".

  • Solo is easier to queue. You can fit into those 3-man SWF groups, and get paired up faster. I never wait more than a minute or two for a match.

Red Ranks mean nothing. I much prefer hovering around 6/7 and up to 4'ish. Get better matches there, and the SWF squads seem to be pretty chill. If I help them, they help me. I rarely (maybe 1 in 20-30 matches) get screwed because I'm not in their group.

I have no one requiring my assistance, so I can make better plays. I can run whatever Perks/items I want without a hassle. I can play however I want without causing an issue. There's a lot of reasons why solo queue is much more enjoyable imo.

When they buffed Kindred, they made solo queue a TON easier. They reverted a bit of that I think though, I noticed Wraith cloaking removes the aura read, but that might be an add-on I am not familiar with. I am more than happy to give up a Perk slot for that kind of information. SWF does get it for free, and I would not mind seeing at least the "See all other Survivors' auras when someone is on the hook" part become basekit, but it fits into any build I use. Maybe separate it and have the "See Killer's Aura" part be a different Perk or something for balance.

Bad teams are just part of the experience. I find myself enjoying those games quite a lot because it forces me to up my level of play. Sometimes it goes great, I get BP + pip(s) even when I die. Sometimes it turns into an absolute shitshow of insanity, but frequently I find myself laughing when that happens because it's just so godawful. You can't escape every match, but playing solo queue and setting yourself goals, you can "win" frequently.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1941304#Comment_1941304

That's because of the unbroken bug. If you don't survive it's almost a guaranteed depip.

Completely untrue. I rarely survive my matches because I play stupid a lot and prefer to see others escape rather than me.

Pips are coming at the usual rate for my own playstyle. Getting singles reasonably often, and only depipped twice when I was blown out of the match early, once from tunneling and once because I was dumb. Over roughly 25-30 matches.

If a single emblem category is causing you to depip all the time, you need to work more on your gameplay. Not saying the category isn't broken, it obviously is, but don't exaggerate the effect of this.

  • 1) Survivor sided at all but the lowest Ranks. If you run the meta, and actually loop, the Killer doesn't have much of a chance unless they get real sweaty. SWF just exaggerates this lopsidedness to a large degree. Solo queue is actually a lot of fun, and it's all I run. I die a lot, but almost always get solid BP and a pip/double. Extremely rare to actually depip.

    2) Haven't played in 8-9 months so Rank 9 Survivor, 16 Killer. Been at Rank 1 on both sides many times, usually hang around Ranks 4-8 though for the most fun matches.

    3) 850+ hours. I'll play for a month or two, then take a break with other games. Waiting on that Hellraiser DLC so I can make this my only game.

    4) I main Dwight and Feng, both at P3 lv50 maxed. Main Hag P3 lv50 maxed, Huntress P3, and Myers P3 mostly. Other Killers I play for fun, dailies, or just to relax. Nothing says "I need to chill" like running around with the Plague and vomiting on people without actually hitting them.

    5) Mostly Survivor main right now. Really need to rank up my Killers soon. Playing against low rank Survivors, especially newer ones, is almost depressing.

  • Everyone has an excuse for a DC, even though you just watched them pull the plug because their toxic ass failed to run the Killer for 5 gens. It's the same everytime. "It must be a bug because I'm a godlike player!" and then there goes the sweet paradise of limited DCs again. sigh

I wish they'd just implement it and leave it. Hotfix what needs to be done, then work on something else. Eventually the crybabies will either adapt or find another game to abuse. They aren't worth keeping in the game since all they do is make excuses for their bad behavior and blame everyone, and everything, else besides themselves.

  • I hate the spoonfeeding and handholding that has been implemented over the course of the years. When I first started playing, you had to pay attention to the other Survivor's icons to glean information about the Killer and the current state of the match. There's even a tip during the load screens that says specifically this. Now though, they just hand you every bit of information you need about what you are going against.

This is one reason that Huntress' Lullaby is useless. It used to be great when there as no notification that it was in play. People had to notice that their skillchecks were off, then they'd go find it. Now though, POOF magic information dispensing and that thing is gone. Devour Hope lost a lot of its power as well when they put this trash in the game.

New players should ask in post-game about things during a match that confused them. This is how a community comes together and helps the whole playerbase. It's how I learned the game when I first started playing and got OHKO'd by DH for the first time. A small tutorial or information page to let new players know there are OHKO Perks, Powers, and other effects, but that is all. The rest should be learned by doing, not by being spoonfed an overwhelming amount of information that completely negates any surprise the Killer has in store for the Survivors.

ffs, it doesn't need to be Souls-like, but could we please have some of the challenge back, and the uncertainty? Just removing a lot of this handholding informationals would add a little fear back into what is supposed to be a horror game, not a daycare center.

  • Totem spawns on Lery's are my favorite. Was playing against a Pig, and one of the totems (dull sadly) spawned inside a turned over laundry cart in one of the rooms. It was slightly up against a pillar, so unless you came in from the one specific doorway, and were paying attention, you'd never see it at all. Wish I had taken a screenshot of it, but was a bit occupied at the time I saw it.

Old maps need totem spawns gone over again, maybe adding in some more random atmosphere scenery to hide them around. The Badham ones are pretty decent too, so at least the Devs have a reasonable idea of what's a decent spawn for them. They just need to rework all the maps and give them a bit of love.

  • It should be Adapt Killer, not Adept. Meaning you adapted to the scoring mechanics rather than the Killer's power.

  • You can't have heels without proper jiggle physics.

    ... heels would be nice.

  • Have they fixed the bug(s) with Hag's teleport yet? I quit playing because those were never addressed for multiple months. Coming back now for some Survivor, but might play Lisa a bit if they've finally got her fixed.

Does Clown still have all the bugs that were present on Day 1 of his release? Or did they finally mash some of those?

Sounds get broken every single patch. Then get fixed in the next one, and hotfixed back into existence. It's just a "feature" because reasons.

  • Missing the Events. Power will bounce back and forth from Survivor to Killer, but the Events were really awesome.

I still remember the joy from, I think it was the 2nd Anniversary, when they did a week of Daily Challenges for Killers and Survivors to do so that we could get some nice extras. Weapons for Killers, some skins for Survivors. That entire week drew the community together for a bit, and tbh, it was some of the most fun games I have played.

It doesn't have to be frequent, but having special Events for players will bring the community together rather than pushing it apart like so many changes have done in the recent past. They also tell the players "Hey, we appreciate your continued support, so here's a nice thank you." Double BP is nothing. Give us something good, doesn't even have to be good in regard to the lore, so that we know you really care about us as consumers of your product.

Thanks goes both ways in the world. But someone has to start it off. It doesn't need any special prizes, although those are of course appreciated, but give us some neat themed event with cool looking eye candy instead of the same ole stuff we play with now.

  • If you are using the same button as the "Struggle" keybind, a lot of players have that mapped to their mouse scrollwheel. You can roll that pretty fast, so struggling would of course go fast as well.

Peanits, I love you, but do you actually think matchmaking and ranks are working right now?

Played Killer last night, first time since reset. Matchmaking was actually damn near spot on. I'm assuming a lot of Red/Purple players moved to the PTB for testing. Almost every match was properly ranked. I'm at 13 now, but started at 15, and I was facing everyone from 16 -> 9. That felt pretty fair to me. There were a couple reds, but I'm pretty sure they were SWF.

So the solution is simply to leave the PTB active at all times with new content on there.

  • The furries are displeased! Thank god, maybe they'll leave....

In all seriousness though. It would be funny to have a full bunny suit. We have a purple elephant, so why not a pink bunny? I think it would be better on Dwight though. He is your basic low wage earner so it makes sense he dressed up as the Easter Bunny to make a couple extra bucks. He's already been an elf!!

  • I'll buy it. Level him to P1 just to see how the gameplay is, and decide if I want to play him further.

I don't mind supporting the devs with my cash. I use Shards for Shrine BP, and as long as it isn't too expensive ($10 USD every few months is cheap AF imo), I'll pick it up. If they start dropping DLCs at high prices though, I'll stop buying them. Stranger Things was acceptable since you got 2 Survivors. Standard DLCs though, like this one, $9.99 is a pretty decent price for it.

  • So, just to make sure Im reading it right:

Sabo, the skill only, will have a cooldown. So if no one has a toolbox, at most you'll get 3 hooks dropped vs a coordinated team that is all there for the down.

Toolboxes will be able to sabo less times before being used up.

Hooks regenerate faster after being Sabo'd, but Breakdown is still 3 minutes.

How does the synergy work? If you have Sabo + Toolbox, do you still get the Cooldown, or is that only for Sabo by itself?

I assume that basement hooks are still not able to be sabo'd?

  • @ClickyClicky said:

In Hellraiser chains are shooting around everywhere. This is a chain slowly moving across the ground, like something is chained up. It gives off a completely different vibe.

Most Hellraiser movies use a single chain in multiple instances. The only reason I can see it not being related to Hellraiser is because it takes multiple pulls to make it taut. Chains in Hellraiser are shot out, hook, then pull.

It looks like the chain is a weapon though, because the end that pops up when it does go taut is bloody, and it looks like someone is reeling in the chain itself from the other end.

One problem lorewise though is that Pinhead never chases. He strolls calmly towards a person's ineveitable death. He simply appears out of the shadows or when you turn around. If they keep tight to that, he'd be Hag or possibly even Nurse speed, which to a lot of people is a turnoff.

I just hope if it is Hellraiser, they use Doug Bradley. It would be a shame to have an imposter Pinhead. Or else go with the real lore, and use the Engineer from the book. Although if they did that, it would probably end up being NC-17 content. Lol

  • Why don't they just change DS to only activate under the same conditions as Borrowed Time? Must be in Killer TR to activate. That might make it more interesting and add some juicy strategies to it.

I rarely ever get hit by it, but it's always someone who got unhooked and jumped right onto a generator, because 60 seconds of gen time = an almost completed gen, and they know it. Frankly, if someone gets on a gen or does anything other than heal/run away, the Perk should deactivate. It can be used later. This would actually provide some more interesting games for the Survivors, because they can then choose when it will go off.

  • I like it, but I think it needs removed. Abusing a character's animation frames is pretty much an exploit. Sadly, as much as I do like it and wish i could pull it off better, it really should be removed from the game. Every exploit that gets removed makes the game better imo.

  • If it happens, I just go get a drink and watch a little YouTube. Alt+Tab exists, slugging from 5 gens is nothing special. I don't even find it toxic tbh. Stupid, sure, but not toxic really. If you want no points and depip, go ahead. I'll get mine back next game. If it happens twice in a row, I'll play something else for an hour then maybe come back.

People get so upset over the stupidest things. There is another match right around the corner, so just crawl into your own corner and chill a bit. If it makes you that upset that you got slugged, might need to take a break from the game for a couple days. If you want to play Justice Crusader and try to make everyone play nicely, good luck to you. Everyone is different. If we were all the same, and did everything the same way, that'd be pretty damn boring.

fwiw, my cat likes slug games. She gets petted for the couple minutes it takes me to bleed out, so at least someone is happy for them. πŸ™€

  • 1 match, out of how many? 1 bad match and everything is bad. sigh

Show me 1000 matches where this happens. Maybe even 10000 considering how many people play daily. Then maybe it's a reasonable issue.

  • Oh wait... I know... If 3 Survivors die on the hook, the 4th Survivor should immediately die because they got outplayed.... That's where this thread is going.

If you really want that 4k, and don't know where the hatch is, slug. That's your option for the 4k. Otherwise, you have to take the chance that the last Survivor knows where the hatch is and is going to use it. The hatch is actually a Killer sided mechanic, it prevents Survivors taking a game hostage, so be happy it's in there at all. It's also a hell of a lot easier to find as a Killer.

You want your 4k, that's good, it shows you really want to excel at the game. Well, guess what, you have to work for it. Anything given for free isn't worth anything at all. Just look at the DC penalty and what it's brought. Bunch of people who felt they were entitled to just screw over both Survivors and the Killer by DC'ing when they failed. Now that they can't, it's "DbD will die" allllll over again. Sounds familiar... something in the recent past... Hmmmmm....

  • It's not supposed to be a team game. Even the devs have stated you are not required to help your team in any way, shape, or form. Otherwise Blendettes would be hung, drawn, and quartered.

Play how you want, but don't be surprised if no one bothers to help you when you need it because your playstyle isn't healthy for the team as a whole. It's up to you to decide how you want to play.

  • We have a DC penalty, which was MUCH needed, so we don't need anything else. Making them suicide on the hook takes up at least some of the Killer's time and that is perfectly fine. I'd rather have 2 other Survivors who want to play in the match, than some salty asshat who is probably going to sandbag us because they aren't having fun.

    No more penalties needed. Please.

  • The wall smashing score event that they datamined could be Pinhead placing chains on a wall, and them bursting out of it to trap a Survivor. So a vertical Trapper instead of a horizontal Trapper like we have.

Just throwing it out there because I'd love to have Pinhead in the game. No matter how weak/strong he was, that's all I'd play. And Kirsty... gotta have Kirsty Cotton in there.

  • It is the players' fault for people abusing the lack of a DC penalty for this many years. There should have been one right from the start, and this would be a non-issue. Now that we have a penalty, and I hope and pray they never remove it, all the crybabies who have DC'd these past years have to suck it up and actually do some work to suicide on their first hook.

Entitlement at its finest right here. I find it amusing that stability issues only occur when someone is downed during a chase, fail their DS skillcheck, or completely potato something. It's amazing how exact the game is in crashing when these happen. Pretty good job so far BHVR!

Honestly, I'd rather lose 10k players than have to deal with the DCs. The past couple nights have been absolutely wonderful for matches. Give me people who want to play, and are willing to play, rather than people who will only play on 1 particular map against 1 particular Killer because they are just that bad at the game. I don't care if you are good or bad, just play the game.

  • Now that the system is in place, they can refine it. Adjustments and tweaks will be ongoing no doubt, so perhaps eventually they'll have a system that can determine if a crash was through no fault of the player or if it was indeed a rage quit. To be honest though, it's just as easy to yank your internet and claim it was a hiccup as it is to use the Quit button. So if they can never fully determine it, then so be it.

At least now we have something to be a deterrent. That's all I had hoped for.

  • I'm surprised they didn't do an Egyptian style theme for the Plague. Would've been awesome to have a Pyramid map, or Sphinx.

Lol. Maybe they'll do Batboy for the next Killer. Not sure if that'd be licensed or not...

Would like to see some African or Latin folklore for the next Killer though. Something out of their myths and legends would be fun. With an appropriately themed map. Running around a literal Jungle or maybe a map with a large river/creek in it with bridges to limit access points on either side. Would be interesting gameplay at least.

  • Eh. If you do it from 5 gens left, yeah, I'd say it's toxic. It's a perfectly viable strategy though. Sometimes you HAVE to slug, just to keep pressure on the gens. Especially if you know someone is nearby, having one down, and one in a chase = most likely 3 Survivors off gens. That's a lot of help to a Killer.

Honest mistake, I used to think both stayed lit after one got destroyed, and I'm sure I've been exposed more than once in a match with Haunted Ground, but it was when I was starting, so maybe it was just Haunted Ground and Noed and I just got confused.

Potentially Devour Hope and HG. Lot of people who use DH will also use HG to help protect it and camoflauge.

  • Had a David hook farm each of us in a match, back before Safe Unhooks were a thing. Luckily the Billy we were playing against hated that sort of behavior so he just downed us and went after the David, letting us get healed back up. Sadly, David was a really good looper so Billy couldn't catch him up.

Little later in the match, I get downed and hooked by the Billy again. As I go into Struggle, of course I see David coming in for the hook dive. He needs that 4th stack of WGLF! Billy has been waiting for this, so he's coming back to the hook with a vengeance as well. When David was about 6 meters from me, I let go of Struggle. He stood there for a moment in shock, then got downed by the Billy. It was quite blissful.

Even better though was the fact that neither of the other two Survivors, we were all 4 solo queue'ers, went to save him. So after about 30 seconds of hook gymnastics, David DC'd. I waited out the last couple minutes of the match to thank the Billy for not rehooking us immediately. Post-game chat did not appreciate David's actions much at all.

    Felt really good.

  • I never see this because I'm usually down in 30 seconds. But hey! There's almost always at least 1 gen during that time... usually.

  • If you're paying attention at all, you'll notice the Killer's aura leave your vision after they stand still for a moment or two. Kindred still trumps Insidious as long as you are keeping an eye on the hook. You will know roughly where the Killer is camping from, and if there's a potential save opportunity or not.

  • I've been bouncing between 12 and 13 for this ranking period on Killer. All my matches are about the same no matter which Rank I'm at. Groups of Red/Purple/Green Survivors mostly. Purple is the most frequent. Very rarely I get a full group of Yellow/Green Survivors. Had the occasional Brown in there, which was the worst part because they were obviously newer and not used to the game.

Survivors earn less bloodpoints. And they might have been working on leveling other characters in the meantime as well.

This. I have Hag maxed at P3. P3 Myers, Huntress, Spirit. Rest of my Killers are all lv40 or P1.

Also have all Survivors at level 40 and/or P1, with Dwight at P3 50.

Been a lot of fun, I can tell you that. Can't wait to see what the next 800 hours brings.

  • Hag. She was the first Killer I really played and learned. Got her to Rank 1 first. Most of the generic Killer achievements I've gotten with her. Just an enormous amount of fun to play.

Huntress/Myers/Spirit in that order. I main them all because their gameplay is enjoyable. Something a little bit different for each of them, so I can choose which type of Killing I want at that point.

I enjoy most of the Killers, so I will sometimes just break one out to play for a while. Most are recently prestiged though, so it can get nasty at times. Except Billy, Nurse, Oni. Don't like them at all. Will never use them again.

You do need to consider that everyone knew that was a test for a predefined timeframe..

As for your second point, personally I don't like it because it fails to distinguish a player disconnecting from an actual toxic game compared to someone ragequitting. I played several games today and I was tunneled immediately at 5 gens off my first hook. Not running DS cause I don't want to rely on it, and there is literally nothing I can do when I'm just trying to get wglf stacks. What should I have done as the killer was literally just going straight for me despite going to the other side of the map and immediately coming back and ignore the person who unhooked. I would dc penalty or not as that's just not fun and frankly a lot of killers enjoy doing that which says a lot about the state of the game.

Yeah. I can understand dc'ing at that point, I wouldn't, but it's not uncalled for with gameplay like that.

DCs have been abused by both sides for too long though. At this point, they need to get harsh on them for a time. Once it's not an issue, maybe they can lighten it up a bit and reduce penalties. Actually give 1 freebie per day or something. That would be fair, but you have to get the ones who DC because they are whiny and can't play normal to stop first.

I don't recall receiving a penalty and I played 100 hours or so over Xmas break and DC'd a normal amount of times.

Console? If I recall correctly, it was only on the PC at that time. Not sure the exact dates, but tbh the matches were so much better. I didn't have a single DC in any of the ones I played while it was active. It made it so much better to play on both sides, for me at least.

What if the killer doesn't bring franklin's and just tunnels you? And if you want to bait Franklin's, you can just put on a skeleton key then take it off at the last second for the same effect.

Once I'm in-game I just drop the key. Normally don't get tunneled afterwards. I'm also not a fan of last second switching. I think it's pretty trash tier. I like to give the Killer plenty of time to respond to my visible loadout so I always load in with my items prepped. If there's a toolbox in the lobby though, and I'm carrying one, I dump mine and go in without anything.

Baiting Franklin's is just part of that though. I'm fully prepared for anything the Killer decides to do in response to me bringing a key, even a green one. It's all part of the game though. Little bit of Lobby Mindgames is kinda fun sometimes. Especially when it works and you've bought your team a little bit of an edge because the Killer brought a Perk that is now useless.

  • Be a waste with infinite T3 I think. I like to run DH with Myers, that way I can save a bit of stalking for later in the game once I get 3 stacks. It stays up most of the time too because people are afraid of Haunted Ground.

An all OHKO build though... you'd really need mobility to make it work. Spirit, Billy, Nurse, Freddy potentially could make it really nasty. Especially if you get the Survivors pushing through gens because they just want to gtfo and get away from the nasty person. Could probably 4k pretty easy if you manage stacks on DH and it sticks around for a little bit. Only problem is, Hex Perks are Hex Perks and it's so RNG based where they will be lit.

The DC penalty will never stop people from DCing. If they do enforce the penalty, they stand a good shot at losing their player base.

They had the DC penalty live around Christmas. They lost none of their playerbase. Yet another false claim about DC penalties.

Besides, if you do manage to make someone DC now, you earned that. You really had to frustrate them to make them DC and take the timeout. That just makes any DC all that much sweeter.

  • If you want to suicide on your first hook, fine. You've at least wasted a few more seconds of the Killer's time, rather than DC'ing because they downed you inspite of your pro looping skillz. It's not a lot, but every second counts in a match and the time it takes for the pickup and hook can be the difference between a gen at 95% that's now regressing due to Ruin and a gen being popped.

I personally find it distasteful and disrespectful, but that's online gaming for you. People will play how they want, and if they want to act like a spoiled toddler who doesn't get their sweeite, so be it. At least now they have to put forth some effort to DC. 3 self-unhooks is a lot of M1'ing for the DC abuse crowd. Usually all they do is sprint, vault, and multi-crouch.
