They don't count? You get 3 hook stages out of it I thought...
Been a while since I had a DC though, so maybe it's scored differently. Your only real issue is going to be the loss of potential chase and hit points. Would probably have to extend others a good bit to make up for it, or else hit and find someone else so you get the scoring event for the emblem, but don't down Survivors 4 times. That way you can make up for losing the 4 events you'd have gotten for the DC.

They were all new because when I unhooked the meg she immediately set off the traps and in the score screen nobody was at the killers rank or above it
Oof. That makes it a bit more understandable, but any reasonably experienced Killer will notice that.
One side, the Killer will take advantage and just steamroll them of course. Sounds like that's what happened here.
I tend to ease up though. Extend chases a lot, maybe mess with them a bit and do some purposeful misses. Herd them around like sheep. It is quite enjoyable, and nets a ton of BP for both parties. Can still get the 4k or 3k + hatch, but... I guess it's just your own personal playstyle really. Some people like to stick the knife in AND twist it while cackling madly.
-
I dislike de-ranking in general, but this is one instance where I 100% approve of it. As long as you do it with the intention of ranking back up after getting the Adept.
High rank matches go by so fast, you are facing an almost impossible task getting enough points to get your emblems for Merciless. It definitely needs to be changed to 4k. The only adjustment I'd make is maybe have it be 4 hook deaths so Moris and Perk'd deaths don't count. Not really a huge difficulty increase there since Moris got nerfed into uselessness, but some Perks can give you an advantage.
Adepts are reasonably easy in the greens though, so de-ranking to 12/13 would be my suggestion.

I think Map RNG depends more on the Killer than the Survivors.
I feel a whole lot safer vs'ing a Huntress on Haddonfield than say a Hag, or Billy, who can traverse the map quickly. Even Trapper can do very well on Haddonfield if they setup properly. The possibility of a 3-gen there is pretty massive as well, because there are so many Survivors who have no clue how to not do every gen they see, and instead skip one so they don't screw themselves late game.
What Killer you are using heavily influences how you can play out a map, and if you're using the same strategies for every Killer you are going to fail heavily anytime the Survivors have a slight advantage. Sometimes the chase isn't the answer, but how your skills are stacking up against those you are playing against.
-
Most 4ks with a Camper are because of memes like Bubba who can insta-down, or SWF with their overly altruistic DS can save us attitude. That and potatoes are going to potato.
There's also a lot of people who won't wait out the full hook -> sacrifice timer because "I'm not having fun, so I'll find another match". They end up suiciding and that releases the Camper to find another Survivor to camp. Me personally, I always wait the whole thing out and make sure to "wave" off anyone coming to rescue me.
I will Struggle for the full timer as well, because in a decent amount of matches, the Camper has left the hook eventually and allowed someone to rescue me at the last minute. Doesn't always work out, but when the third, or possibly fourth gen has popped, they start to realize their strategy is trash, and they better put some pressure on the others. It almost always ends badly for them when they camp me first off, but it does happen when I get the hook divers and idiots who can't tell there's a Camper there, no matter how much exercise I do on the hook.

My understanding is it's spaghetti code. Which is why things constantly break. You gotta bear in mind this was a low budget game made by a small studio. If they were starting from scratch with their current resources I imagine they game would be far more polished.
Hehe. I understand that completely. I've been around for many announcements that showcased just how bandaged together the code is.
Removed Darkness Offerings
Changed Tinkerer
Every Patch, sometimes every 2-3, Sounds break for Killers including 100% silent Survivors
The awful latency and desync that Dedicated Servers were supposed to stop (I'd rather have old P2P connections back tbh)
Currently Hoarder's issues they can't fix because of the loot tables (How does this even pass QA?)
Every Killer/Survivor comes with bugs to their Perks/Powers
MMR still not in-game after how many announcements of it
The old Roadmap they had when they bought the rights back... it looked so promising...
And many more shining examples of "Why do you not have a dedicated team working to update, streamline, and prepare the code for new mechanics and game play?"
They might have been a small, indie studio before, but DbD has allowed them to grow a good bit I'd imagine. They need to get the dollar signs out of their eyes and start caring about game health though, otherwise they are going to end up with no players to buy their cosmetics and battle passes.
-
I play Hag for fun frequently. That feeling when you sucker a Survivor into a trap, especially when they think they're super awesome cool, nothing better tbh.
Using a Gateaux though... that defeats the purpose of the Offering imo. Might as well use a Card and get the Bonus BP for the hooks. When I drop things like Streamers or Cakes, I usually go a bit more chill and try to chase as much as possible. Bonus BP is pretty wasted when you have too short of a match, especially if you can recognize the new players. They give you TONS of BP because they just don't know what they're doing.
-
If you're going to put in penalties for the Survivors due to SWF, then don't buff the Killer.
Easiest way:
2-man SWF, no changes. This isn't much of a game changer tbh.
3-man or 2 2-man SWF, +10% gen repair time/exit gate opening time. A solo queue'er getting stuck with a 3-man would feel the pinch a bit, but it wouldn't be too overpowering. If you start messing with Perk slots or buffing the Killer though, you can push the balance too far the other way.
4-man SWF, -1 Perk slot for all Survivors.
Killer should get bonus BP based on SWF number as well. Maybe like 5%, 10%, 20% or something similar.

Iron Will is pretty strong.
This. I'd go with Jake.
Iron Will in itself is worthwhile in many builds. That and having access to Saboteur for easier Hook Breaking for Dailies is really nice.
Calm Spirit is decent. Great for stealthy style builds, and the occasional Doctor. Just not really a meta for most people. I like it personally though.

Really makes you wonder why they don't take a much needed break from their content gouging and fix some of the game's code that hasn't been touched since it released.
Money. Plain and simple.
Although to be quite honest, if they'd take a Chapter and do an overall game health update, with some cool new skins so the design team can put in their two cents, they'd probably attract more customers and make more money than on a new Chapter release. Being able to say "We took a break from constant content release and fixed things to make your experiences better" as a promotion would be a money maker by itself.
-
I go for the points and unhook.
Even if they hit Struggle because of their own stupidity, that's another hook state the Killer has to earn. I hate idiots who do this, but if they get some cheap thrill out of it I really don't care. I do sometimes turn around for a couple steps as if I'm going to leave them, just to let them know I am not amused by their antics.
I'm not above being petty at times and selfishly doing my own thing while others can rot, but it's only ever because they are Jedi Warriors trying to out-Force the Killer, or if they screw me over in some other way like dragging the Killer to me even though I'm already injured and they are untouched.
Accept the fact there are morons in the game and just play around them to the best of your ability.
-
If you're heterosexual, you're homophobic or in the closet. That's pretty much all I can see in this thread.
Most of the posts I'm reading are asking for a good character, a good back story, and fitting it into the lore. People don't care about the gender of the characters, just make them good ones. Not some trash thrown into the game to appease a minority of people who cry the loudest.
ffs. There are any number of examples of this, but all anyone wants to focus on is some stupid label.
Give us GOOD characters with FUN powers and NEW mechanics! If they happen to be trans, gay, bi, tri, or parallel I don't care. If they're fun, I'm going to play them regardless. If i like their design, or maybe their animations, I'm going to play them. If you give me some trash character for the sake of "representation" I'm not touching it.
Black, white, pink, bi, gay, christian, muslim, liberal, conservative... we're all human. If you have to have a label on someone to "connect" to them, maybe you're the one who needs a little help. I'll just keep on playing the characters I love, and nothing says love like running around the map as a little Asian girl being chased by a big burly man.
-
No.
I hate time limits for anything. They artificially create a "rush rush rush" scenario that hurts game play.
I've had many, many enjoyable matches that lasted up to 20 minutes. More strategic than gen rush, that really taxed me (to the point I had to take a few minutes break) but had me on the edge of my chair because of the intensity. Both sides of the coin btw, and at all Ranks.
Forcing a match to end would be outside the lore as well. There is no logical reason the Entity would want a time limit. It would more likely want longer matches to give the Survivors even more hope they might escape. Sadly it works the opposite way though. Quick matches favor Survivors (only 5 objectives). Longer matches tend to favor the Killer (12 Objectives) because of attrition and potential to snowball.
There are enough ways to end a match as it stands. We don't need an another one.
-
GWAR
Because, reasons....
Or pick any of the godawful pop stars around. I would thoroughly enjoy hooking NIki Minaj or that other idiot Cardi B. Adding in some of these cRappers would be good too. I'd tunnel, camp, and then mori them every round just so I can hear the ghosts of past singers with actual talent cheering me on.
-
I laugh when this happens. It usually means I've annoyed them enough they took extra time to make sure I understood how pissed they are, or their fefe got hurt and they need to puff up their ego. Either way, it's really funny.
-
If they do it properly, I don't think anyone would have issues with any character.
The problem comes with the word "properly". There's no need to just throw a character in, state they're trans or gay, then do nothing with it. It needs to fit in with their backstory and lore. There are probably numerous ways to do this, I'm sure the horror genre is full of them, but it needs to stay consistent with the past releases.
As an example, Normam Bates from Psycho. A bit old and dated, and probably has all kinds of issues people will rant about, but him dressing as his mother (transvestite) would be a good fit. Slasher flick, pretty well known (they had the show on Netflix), and iconic.
I like the idea that the Killer and Survivor are the same person. This could easily be done if say the change in clothing, transitioning them from a Male look to a Female look (or the other way), causes their mental state to change from good to evil. Something along these lines would actually be a pretty cool thing to have. They could do it as an actual physical transformation too, rather than just a facade.
There are many other ways this could be done well, but just throwing in a character and saying their gay is ridiculous and unhealthy. It needs to be a good story, with good background, and a reason. Not just some crap tossed into the game to appease a group of people. To me, that would be insulting to everyone.
-
This is why if there are 2 other toolboxes in the Lobby, I'll switch to a medkit or map. More than 2 makes it way too one-sided early game and can cause serious late-game problems with Camping and other such "sweaty" behavior because we blew gens up so fast. It also tends to bring out the Franklin's, so I'll switch to something I don't mind losing.
Killers should always have the chance to react to what Survivors do in the Lobby. It's 4v1, so you really need that little bit to tune your build sometimes.
I do think ALL Offerings should be hidden though. It's a private thing, and no one needs to know I popped a Mori, or a Shroud, because those are the only hidden Offerings. Maybe have "everyone" BP Offerings be visible to the affected parties, so they know about that.
-
Probably a bug in the scoring or emblem system. Goes along with the screwed up pips/depips.
I picked up Adept Executioner 2 days ago with a Merciless. Think that was post new patch...
Did you 4k? I have gotten a Merciless score with a 3k and last one getting the hatch. If you didn't, it might be a "hidden" requirement.
-
Survivor: Hawkins. I can never navigate on this damn map. I wish they'd done a Game-like style and had some of the doors open when you power a generator. Would have made it a lot more fun and interactive.
Killer: Coldwind maps. Hate em all. Might be PTSD from learning the Shape though, back when I'd get Coldwind 3 out of 5 matches because of how maps were drawn. Stalking through cornfields was torturous.
-
I don't mind playing on Haddonfield as a Hag, and it's not too bad for Trapper, for me at least. Any other Killer though...
The thing that gets me though is that it's the Shape's home field, and should be laid out for him to get easy stalks and downs on, but playing as him on that map is really ugly. If you're running Scratched Mirror, it's not bad with all the corners and other places, but trying to get some long-range stalks in before moving up to your prey is almost impossible with gen placement and how many hedges are all over blocking your view.

Of course there's a reason. Representation. When a minority still exists and there isn't the same representation as to the contrary position, then there's an easily spotted problem.
Until there's an official end to crimes against this minority, it is strictly needed to do this stuff, and bhvr has the perfect potential to make a big influence.
You don't like it? You currently have other 46 characters in the game to appreciate for their backstory. If you only care about perks and powers, then it shouldn't be a problem to add inclusivity.
There is no minority here though. Just because one of the character's stories doesn't say they are an Alphabet Soup person, that does not mean they aren't. There simply isn't any need to have that be the focal point of their character. The fact that they have never focused on any of the characters' gender background would make any focus on that virute signalling of the worst kind.
Each of the Survivors is a misfit. They tend to be loners, disregarding society as a whole and trying to forge their own path. Some because of an obssession, some simply because they don't fit into society's molds. They don't need to be labelled because they have made their own path.
The same is true of the Killers. Each one is unique in their background. Some of them were dark from the beginning, some of them were seduced into the darkness. It is not necessary to label any of them because their sole focus is to play with the Survivors and then sacrifice them to the Entity.
Representation is one of the worst forms of hypocrisy. You exclude one group because you don't have enough of another group. It's just bigotry polished up and shiny with some neat word describing it so that people don't realize all you're doing is spreading hate. Learn to accept everyone, not just one group. Don't judge by physical characteristics.

Equality doesn't happen by telling people to shut up. It happens by throwing things that are different in their bigoted faces until it becomes normal and no-one can be bothered throwing it around any more.
Don't believe me? Look at the womans rights movements. Look at racial and religious equality. And yes, look at LGBT equality and inclusion. And... Wow, would you believe it, all of those are still going on, and still being fought for, because not including diversity reinforces the current "norm".
Personally, I'd like a few LGBT+ characters. So would much of the community. There's not really a reason not to include any, after all, and yet plenty of reasons for. So what's the problem with inclusion?
Equality happens by disregarding race, gender, religion, views, etc of a person, and judging them solely on their actions and words. When you take away physical characteristics and simply accept a person based on how they act, then you are being equal.

This isn’t about politics it’s about representing a minority of people In this video game
Having a character in a video game horror or not you can identify with is great
This is 100% about politics considering the current political climate.
There is no reason to include any character simply because they are some special section of people. That is simply virtue signalling and should never happen. If the character's background and story is an outgrowth of whatever gender, race, etc they are, then that is just fine imo. It should never be the focus though, it should simply be a part of their lore as a whole.
I don't care if a character is black, white, pink, multi-sexual, lives in a box, or has twelve sets of genitals. All I care about is a good background, good power, and that they give a horror vibe. As soon as you say "We need more of this minority", it's hate speech because you are discounting all the other people who aren't that minority. Bigotry comes in many forms, but the worst is bigotry in the form of Inclusion and this fake Equality that people try to shove into everything.
-
The only place sexuality or gender belong is in the bedroom between consenting adults.
Trying to throw it in everyone's face is a trash move designed to virtue signal or proclaim "I am cool so you should listen to me."
This is a horror game, not a representation game. I have 0 issues with the background of a character being gay, straight, bi, or apache helicopter. That is their story, and should be treated as such. Not as some massive victory for some ridiculous political agenda. The only people who give a damn about representation are a bunch of weirdos on Twitter and some politicians who use it purely for political and monetary gain.
If people would stop caring about inclusion, and simply accept the fact that everyone is different and equal, things would be a lot better in the world. Instead we get Cancel Culture, hate mobs, and hypocritical mouthpieces spouting hate speech and calling it equality.
Keep your damn politics out of the game and accept each character for who they are. Someone reasonably unique and interesting who might have a neat story that you can relate to, or maybe a story that just piques your interest.

Matchmaking works fine! At Rank 13:
First match I play against a 3, 4, 6, 8 team. They obviously stomp me as I'm learning PH (level 36 atm).
Second match I play against a 12, 16, 19, 20. I stomp them, and let the last out the exit gate after I close the hatch.
Third match I play against a 10, 12, 8, 6. Bit better than the first match, but I still get beat down.
Fourth match. I switch to Survivor.
-
Tunnelers going to tunnel no matter what. I don't think PH is unique in that regard.
Hag's traps make it easy for her to tunnel/proxy camp, Trappers traps the same to an extent, Oni/Billy/Nurse/Blight all have tunneling potential because of their cross-map speed. Wraith as well with proxy camping + invisibility. Not to mention Ghostie's power.
The Cages force Survivors to make smart rescues. I think this is a mechanic style that needs to be implemented on more Killers. Punish the ones who rush in crutching on their DS/BT and reward the ones who play it smart, pay attention to where the Killer is located, then move in to save. You have a lot of time to make a save, there's no need to do it within 2 seconds of them being hooked.
I don't really see it as a power or Perk related thing, it's more of a mentality problem with the player base. "Rush, rush, rush" is the norm. It should be pushed further in the direction of "Consider carefully, plan your move, execute", imo at least.
-
I'd say key bindings are the issue here if you're playing on PC because Self-Care and Rescue are on different keys normally. So if you've changed the key bindings, maybe change them back? Same thing with Pallet Drop/Vault and Cleanse and Window Vaults and Self-Care.
Console players. No idea how the keys are bound, so that might be an issue.
-
Information on it doesn't flow well at all. They should've just left it alone and added the Hook amounts to the old HUD. There was never any need to change it.
Scoring Event placement is terrible, everything feels somewhat washed out against the background, trying to keep track of what's going on with my fellow Survivor's while also paying attention to effects on me and what Perks are active is messy, and with the brightness of all the maps now (at least since the last time I played) gen counts are actually difficult to notice at times.
-
If you don't rush gens and/or leave, I'll probably yell at you in post-game.
Better to punish Campers. That way they get the message and maybe that portion of the game will change.
People feed them so much though, they get fat and bloated from all the Survivor altruism. So much reward for doing nothing, of course they'll keep doing it.
-
Used to be worse. The old Killer Blind was pretty vicious, especially with insta-blinds in the game. Overwhelmingly bright light popping into your screen in half a second was painful. Especially considering a lot of people play this in dark rooms. It only took what, 2-3 years of complaints for them to finally change it?
There SHOULD be a cooldown on flashlights though. Nothing major, maybe a half second or second between clicks. That will never get done though because then how else would the Jedi Warriors signal to their opponent they are ready for a duel?
-
Plague purely for chill times. Vomiting on people is pretty nasty, but chasing someone while you puke on them constantly, to the point they just stop running and stand there looking at you, is pretty damn hilarious. She makes my "bad" days fun again for a match or two before I get more serious.
-
I would rather play against Freddy maxed out on slow-downs than a Distressing Doctor on The Game.
Both are annoying AF and can be massive time sinks if you're team plays horribly (or DCs because they are whiny little bitches), but at least Freddy doesn't make your screen fizz, cause random screaming, and that damn backwards skillcheck.
I won't DC against them, but ffs they can both ######### right off.
-
Only ever played against 1 Spooky Myers, 2 years ago. Got absolutely trashed, but did have a fun time against him. I spent about 15 seconds standing behind a rock while he was on the other side of it. That heavy breathing really gives him away. Have not seen any since then though. I do see a fair amount of Perma-T3 or Perma + Insta-kill Myers. Can almost always tell them because they burn Wards.
Wish I could play against more Myers though. Having to pay attention to your surroundings and be aware of what's going on around you is something a lot of people just don't do anymore. I'm working him up to P3 Max right now, at P3 30-something, and I pull people off gens constantly (as long as the grab bug doesn't pop up on me). They just don't scan around at all when they're up to their eyeballs in a gen.
Can't wait til I finally get M&A on him and can start using my Dead Rabbits. That's when the fun really starts.
-
Feels great on Survivor side.
Killer side is awful though. Ghost Survivors, stuttering forward/backward, attempt to swing and the game hangs for 1-2 seconds. It was like playing against a lag-switcher in the 3 matches I got through.
-
Played against them one time in the past 2 weeks. So... they're pretty much gone anyways.
-
@Slendy4321 said:
Did the gen shake when they got off? Technician maybe?
No. I checked Perks at the end of the match. The others were running your basic meta style Perks. I didn't check the Killer's Perks though because the last Survivor in the match was being an idiot and running the Killer around instead of heading out the gate.
-
Good BP and a safety or pip for Survivor, but if it was a fun match, I'll take that instead. Had some great ones tonight where I was thoroughly enjoying chases and actual gameplay rather than M1 simulator.
Killer. Just give me some good BP and fun chases. Try to outthink me instead of running in a circle, and I'll be quite happy. Mindless tedium of looping bores me though, so I usually just walk away from those chases and find something more interesting. Pretty much fun games = win.
-
Hellraiser Chapter. Preferably with Doug Bradley's form of Pinhead as the Killer. If Legion hadn't already done it, having all 4 of the Cenobites from the original 2 movies would be absolutely fantastic. Would 100% buy all the cosmetics just because I love that universe.
The Cotton House from the first movie would be excellent as a map. Either that or the Chanard Institute, or possibly an extension onto Leary's. There's a lot of substance in the original 4 movies you could draw from for a Chapter.
-
There's some good balancing going on, but the real issue is they are trying to keep SWF and Solo Queue reasonably balanced, and that will never happen unless they make certain Perks basekit. Stuff like Kindred and other aura reads that SWF get for free, but Solo has to waste a Perk slot(s) on.
Once you do that, Killers need buffed because giving that much information to Survivors will be horrible for the health of the game. Quite frankly, I think it would be impossible to do because it would change the dynamic entirely too much.
Right now, from a Solo only Survivor's perspective, the game is probably the most balanced it's been since I started playing in the summer of 2017. Survivor feels like it's in a good spot, and Killer also does as well. The only issue I'm seeing, and it's gotten better since the hotfix, is some latency. They really need to focus on Server health and speed.
Looking at it with all the benefits and buffs you get playing SWF, well it's still unbalanced in the Survivor's favor. I truly think there should be some sort of penalty that's SWF only just because of the freebies they get by putting on a headset and talking to people. Either that or Killer should get some bonuses depending on how large the SWF party is in their match. There has to be some form of compensation on either side to balance out the match when SWF in it.
-
It's actually one of my favorite locations. The atmosphere as a whole brings more of a horror vibe than any of the other maps imo. Leary's is great as well with the rework they did to it, but I find myself enjoying the Swamp more on both sides.
It used to be awful for Killers because the maps were enormous, but now that they've shrunk them a bit, I find it better balanced.
Survivors also have something of a choice on them. You can scout the edges, maybe find some totems, but most of the action is in the middle.
Those cattails have given me more of a rush than any other scenery in the game. I can't count the number of times I've either "won" a chase or simply avoided a Killer's gaze by crouching in them. It's a lot easier to juke a Killer on the Swamp maps, at least for me, than any of the others, and I don't loop. I find that gameplay boring AF. I don't play this game as a NASCAR simulator.
There's also a lot of interesting mechanics on the map itself. Gates that open when you finish gens, the unique noise of those crows, the horn on the boat. Really helps to make the environment a bit more immersive. I wish they would do things like this for more maps. The Game really set the standard for interactivity, but they seem to have backed off of that in favor of more static things. Like the cage rattler on the Lab.

Well to be perfectly honest trying to save someone in a chase, if done badly, looks a lot like sandbagging and has the exact same effect. I've had many teammates run up to me to I presume distract the killer and end up body blocking me and getting me killed.
Yeah. Done it before, and had it happen before, so I understand how trying to help someone can turn into a mess quickly. I usually try to at least bodyblock the Killer while avoiding the other Survivor in that situation. Normally they just take a swipe at me, then continue on with their chase though. Rarely do I draw the aggro and give the other person a break. It might give them a few extra seconds.
-
I've been yelled at in chat a few times for "screwing up my looping" because I tried to intervene in a chase with someone in just that situation.
Most of the time though, when I've tried to draw aggro the Killer just keeps chasing the other person because they are on their death hook so why would they bother with me. The only reason they have to drop the chase and start on a different survivor would be for their last stack of BBQ, or if they were playing "nice". Otherwise, getting a Survivor out of the match is a better option for them.
-
I've noticed I'm getting spawned in a lot more and within a couple seconds I can hear the TR. Had a handful of matches where no Offering was played for Survivor placement, but 2 or 3 of us spawned together and almost immediately I was hearing the TR.
It's not every match, but every two or three this happens.
-
Playing like normal. Just more wary of how close the Killer is to me.
ngl though. I'm laughing everytime a Killer swings and misses on me, knowing full well that it's because of latency. I can almost excuse some of the hits that get me because it's amusing. Especially when it happens twice in one chase, and you can almost feel the blood boiling on the other side of the screen.
-
Bloodhound is great when you're learning to play Killer. It helps you see Survivor movement so much easier, and can help you learn to anticipate where they are headed. Pairing it with Sloppy is almost a must though. Those two synergize so nicely together. The same goes for Predator too, if you don't have access to Bloodhound. It can help you learn Survivor movements quite nicely when you're first starting out.
We'll Make It is almost always in my builds. The faster healing make hook healing viable against almost any Killer, unless they are really close to the hook when you rescue. It can be a life saver, especially if you're playing against a tunneler. BT is nice to have, but actually having a full health state rather than a timed one can make a huge difference.
I used to use Breakdown a good bit, but the changes to Sabo made it somewhat useless now. Unless you have an active Saboteur who can get in at the other hooks, losing one isn't going to make much of a difference.
-
Hag's teleport hits (Phantasm Hit scores) still don't register properly about half the time. Been like this since the move to dedicated servers.
New patch, and the hotfix, latency issues just seem to be getting worse. Anytime things pop up on the HUD, FPS tanks for a moment. Maybe fix the servers and see how many bugs/glitches that takes care of first. Didn't have these kinds of issues on Peer to Peer connections. Only thing you had to deal with was the occasional lag switch, and that was extremely easy to notice, and report.
Hell, I get 38-42 ping on dedicated, and still have nasty latency when there's a lot of things going on in the game. Chases, where you need quick responses, are usually the worst. Peer to Peer connection, I'd be happy with 140 ping and under, and still manage just fine without the frame drops and lag. It's pretty bad when someone's McDonalds Wi-Fi performs better than a "dedicated server".

I've seen some pretty offensive usernames and they didn't seem to have any effect because I saw them again, same person too, over the course of a week or two.
If it's bad enough to get reported, maybe? Otherwise, eh, who cares really.

How is slower blinks, darker edges and shorter lunges with no addon variety better?
I use to play her base kit with nothing to farm bp for my other killers and survivors and she was 1000 times better and less buggy with more reliable controls
Probably because I didn't play her prior to the rework. That and I know better how Survivors move, so she doesn't seem as oppressively hard to control now. I can judge Blinks better than before.
I don't see her much though. Used to be a reasonably common Killer to face in Purple Ranks and up, but there don't seem to be as many people playing her as usual. See a lot of Trappers, Freddys, and a fair mix of Onis, Blights, and Pigs.

I hate playing the Nurse, but for some reason she feels better after the rework.
Not sure why, but it feels like I can control her better and have better aim. Might just be a placebo because I ran her to lv35 for the Perks I wanted, and stopped there a couple years back. Been a long time since I played her, but with the new Tome had to break her out, and I'm finding her easier to play.

That is the sign of many states lifting lockdown restrictions and people being able to go out and do things other than sitting at home playing video games.

True. But the problem happens to be is also is the Lack of hot fixes.( a point I forgot to bring up in the original post) I get it takes time to do these things. We had 2 hot fixes between chapter 18 - now. Which brings back my original point: EA & Bethesda are more consistent with the patches/hotfixes & FIX the bugs, not letting them persist for too long in their games with each update.
I don't know about EA, I stopped buying their games a few years ago, but Bethesda is one of the worst companies for bug fixing out of the AAA bunch. There are still bugs in Fallout 4 that will actually break your playthrough for the Main Questline for the various factions making it impossible to finish the game for that Faction during your playthrough. I have encountered this twice myself playing it. They rely on the large number of dedicated modders to fix their games. Won't even talk about the bug filled mess of vanilla Skyrim.
As far as patching this one goes... with cross-platform play, you are going to end up with slowdowns on it right out of the gate. They can push a hotfix to PC quick, but that certification process for consoles can drag. They might have actually had one ready to go pretty quickly, but Sony or M$ might be taking time before allowing it to go live. They can't have players on different systems running different versions. I'd imagine that would cause all sorts of problems if it would even work.
