It's not, it's ever so slightly wider than the survivor's capsule (as seen in the gif shown above, and on the stream). This is why there's cases where two objects spawn close to each other and the survivor can pass between them, but the killer cannot.
How difficult would it be to make them ever so slightly the same?
-
Because it's not unfun to go against a killer that cannot hear.
Deja Vu 😯

That is the SlashableZone, the thing used for hitting the survivors. This is not used for movement. The capsules used for movement are shown above.
(This was mentioned in the stream.)
Are we to say the pill for movement is the same width as killers then?
-
Since someone necro'd this.
It is 2020 and still no advanced graphic settings.
-
Maybe you've gotten better.

I'm sorry to hear that, but they are pretty much the same size (the killer capsule is ever so slightly larger). We showed the capsules themselves side by side on stream.
I've gone ahead and animated them together over top of each other if you'd like to take a look:

This actually surprised me as well. I was pretty sure that they had in the past talked about how the hitboxes were different, hence why killers gained less ground circling objects rather than in a straight line.
About two months ago.
-
The talking points are they are the same size. Admitting they are different only strengthens killers complaints about looping.
-
Wait, they said the hitboxes were the same size again?
🤣🤣🤣
As for making the survivor hitbox smaller, that wouldn't really be possible. The hitbox is already about the same size as the survivor themselves.

Few games of killer tonight.
-1st survivor suicides on 1st hook, so next suicides on 1st hook. Happened multiple games.
Meanwhille the 2 survivors left and the killer get stuck in a boring game they don't want to play and have to see it through until the end.
So the people disconnecting get their escape, probably don't suffer too much of a penalty compared to others since the last few left in the game will be stuck there for another few minutes anyway. If they get a longer timer after multiple disconnects they turn the game off and play something else for a bit. Meanwhile everyone in the game who is a victim of these people have to suck it up.
This system punishes everyone else more than it punishes those that disconnect. Best job ever so far.
So without the penalty they just DC leaving you with the same 2v1 result. At least now you get the hook points, emblem points, and BBQ stack if you're running it
How are you being punished more than before? Is it because YOU can't DC without being punished?
-
If survivors are bad and you feel like playing "fair". (Whatever fair means at the time)
-
Not worth playing anymore
-
Spaghetti coding
-
Nothing to do with matchmaking but having to do with player population.
Ranks were just reset so the majority of the playerbase occupy the mid ranks. Only decent survivors that play a lot would be in the same rank as you.
Give it a few weeks for the potatoes to rank up.

So, why Survivors can run through stalking Myers? Or why Killer after hitting Survivor in a corner loses his collision?
It is a game, for better expirience I think Survivors shouldn't be able to bodyblock each other.
They can do that because it hurts the killer.
-
So you are saying you should be justified in DCing when the killer camps, tunnels, or has NOED?

She didn't need it on PC either.

It's a sensitive topic.
-
Why do people mistake this behavior as SWF only?
-
Like we've said in the stream, if it causes you to hit an object instead of that survivor, this is a bug. Please be sure to report it.
It's a day 1 bug.
A bug so old it has dentures.

Or the devs could fix this mess. They already delayed the DC penalty once. If they want to have DC penalties, do it on a percentage of games basis and not a 24 hour window which unduly punishes players who play a lot, and doesn't punish enough players who play more casually.
Learn that the game will always be broken. DC penalty had to happen.

Yes, "bug"
😏

He's getting all his traps at the start!
No?
Well, okay then.

Let them have their tantrum. They will settle down or stop playing in time.

I'm complaining because I want them to punish excessive hook suiciding in addition to the current DC penalty system.
I would get very bored of the game having to constantly hook suicide. It's not the same thing as DCing.
I also don't believe those with inflated egos would continue to allow killers to win by hooking them.

Or those who periodically crash through no fault of their own, and play tons of matches in a 24 hour window. Now I'm stuck incurring increasing penalties unless I take 24 hour breaks between marathons. They could use a percentage of games system, but instead they want to punish people playing too much.
But it's fine. On the plus side, now I get to slug every killer game and watch them bleed out slowly over 4 minutes. Survivors sure seem to love it!
If slugging 4 survivors and letting the bleed out is fun for you then have at it. This type of person would of done that regardless of DC penalty.
Normal people don't turn into toxic ######### because of a rule change. They were always like that.

... please speak better.
What are you even trying to say here?
Are you saying that without dressing up the hit the killer would miss? Are you saying other people are saying that? What isn't the case? What do you even think the case is?
Other people. The very next line should of clarified it if you were confused.
-
Complaints about hook suicides are an attempt to make BHVR revert the DC penalty. From the survivors perspective a teammate killing themselves on hook or DCing is the same thing. It's the ones who regularly DC that are raising a stink.
-
Whats wrong with the OPs statement and others is without the Devs dressing up the hit the killer would miss. This is not the case. Instead the hit would appear off but would still occur. Remember the survivor hitbox isn't skin tight, it's pill shape. That's a lot of empty space that could make hits not look like they should of register.
-
The game doesn't adjust your camera if you miss your swing. The hit box of your weapon must come into contact with the survivors hitbox for the window dressing to occur.
What happens more often than not is the window dressing moves your weapon into another object than the survivor.
-
There will never be another Nurse. If somehow they release a killer that could perform at her old level they will "slightly tweak" them immediately.
-
Auto aim implies you missed but we will let you hit anyways because you're cool.
What's happening in this game you hit and the game lines it up to look decent.
How this is still lost on people is astounding to me.

New characters = more cosmetic potential

probably but let’s be positive for now :)
If you like making the same mistakes over and over again, sure.
-
Whatever it is, it will be nerfed within a week.
-
It's your connection to the killer.
-
If you believe players with egos big enough to DC when things don't go their way will allow killers to "win" by hooking them, sure let them kill themselves on hook.
At least the killer isn't punished when they do it that way. For the three survivors left behind it buys them a little more time while the killer hooks the coward. Either way, its the same outcome for them.
I hope those that can't stand losing will eventually quit and stop ruining other peoples matches.
-
You just have to try harder. Life isn't easy.
-
They need to attract more players to fix that.
-
I don't believe people were holding back their toxic nature in fear of the other side DCing.
If they were toxic before, they will be toxic now. If they're not, they won't now.
That's how I see it.
-
Little late. Game is already on 3.5
-
Clearly you weren't thinking about the survivor's fun and they had no other choice.
-
Well he had three slugs a few times through this.
But isn't 2K the goal? Seems like this is the perfect game in the Devs eyes.
Can't help but noticed the two addons that reduced the cooldown timer to 2s per-blink. Wonder why he choosed those instead of all the other fun ones BHVR gave her? Hmmm BHVR? Why you think that is?
-
Game will still end.
-
You're going to hard camp every game until you realize it will never be fixed and finally quit playing.
-
It's not nice to hit others.
