Balanced Woods

Why should they stop with Legion?
The sky's the limit!
-
That would take years of discussion and more years to implement.
They're a small development team, damnit!
-
I disagree.
It should never be a free kill once closing the hatch.
-
Forced?
No.
It's voluntary...
and highly recommended.
-
The only community participation that came from those events were the amount of bitching towards BHVR.
-
AFK with a script is botting and banable.
-
Long enough to pop three gens.
-
Slowdowns are not fun and balanced.
Cooldowns are.
-
Soon™
-
Or keep trolling the same lobby over and over again.
🤔
-
What's is your definition of an anti tunneling perk?
-
You denied them a hook.
They denied you a unhook.

Honestly yes. At least that sent a clear message of, "I'm irritated, ######### this game, I'm out." With dying on hook idk why people are dying like that. They could be trying to sandbag the team because a lot of suicide hookers I get will wait until you're almost there to die and then put you in a dangerous spot with killer.
Are there the times were people die on hook to give hatch/exit/prevent the team from getting downed by a camper? Yes. But that's not the issue I'm focused on. I think my biggest issue is dying on hook penalizes the team and killer. The killer is considered a camper by the system, teammates are seen as being unalturistic, and then people have issues pipping up.
Yes I get it's a casual game but there are people who are trying to rank up and it isn't fair to them. With disconnecting the actions of that player only affected them, with dying on hook at most points in the game the action effects everyone else.
Basically you want DCs to act as voting. To represent dissatisfaction with the game.
I feel this is the most self-center action one can take and I cannot sympathize with that kind of reasoning.
You bring up killers being punished but failed to realize how a survivor DCing hurt the killer. The loss of blood points, emblem points, and BBQ stacks because a survivor couldn't handle being down first. No killer is afraid of being called a camper. They are called that regardless of how "fair" they play.
With disconnecting the actions of that player only affected them
You should rethink this. A survivor that DCs hurts the teammates they left behind.
-
All will be solved once ranks disappear.
-
Why?
How does it affect you differently?
A survivor that DCs or one that dies on first hook. How does the outcome differ for you?
-

Sometimes the best option is to do nothing. Did people D/C suicide on hooks before? Yes. Did it become worse after the d/c update? Yes. Well people don't disconnect as often their actions to suicide on hook lead to making games harder for everyone involved.
You prefered they DC instead?
-
To have a downside to leaving matches.
Not having a penalty only fosters its use. Yes people still DC and some will kill themselves on first hook but overall less will do so.
How does the DC penalty affect you? Before a fellow teammate DCs and you're left in a 3v1.
Now a fellow teammate dies on first hook and you're left in a 3v1.
Outcome is the same for you unless you're the fellow teammate.
If being able to DC is the threshold of fun for a player then they shouldn't be playing an online game. It ruins the experience for those left in the match.
-
Sound issues and Iron Will have nothing to do with one another. Questioning if a survivor is running a perk or not is not the fault of the perk.
-
My guess, it's taking longer to get through console certification.
-
Slight tweaks scheduled for March 17th.
-
Guess those survivors didn't get the memo. You're supposed to killer yourself on first hook now. But maybe that's too close to admitting the killer is better than them.
🤔
-
*Looks at Nurse
Yeah, your opinion means nothing. Can't wait to see the Devs version of balance come to Billy and kill whatever is left of the killer player base.
-
No but seriously when is the old system coming back?
Seriously, I just love spawning in with 3 people and a bot.
Because spawning in with 4 people and 1 DCing the moment they feel cheated was so much better.

No, you're wrong, it would be the best thing to happen to this game since queue times would be practically nonexistent.
🤣🤣🤣
-
1) Sure it was NOED?
2) Could the totem have been broken before you got hit?
-
😆
Low ranks, what can I say?
-
You may have 63 ping to the server and so could the killer. But it's 126 ms from when they hit you and it being reflected on your screen.
It will never be perfect. Even if both of you lived within the same city as the server.
The movement prediction won't fix it. Inherently predictions can be wrong and cause confusion on both ends.

Yet you’re posting on the forums lol.
I like the conversations.

Already happened

The same issues from back then are still in the game now.
With the removal of Ruin the gen speed issues have become more pronounced.

It has been stated if you get body blocked into a corner for a short period of time that is not reportable/banable (ie: bubba/billy rev up chainsaw) but to body block in order to tier 3 myers that's an extended period of time generally and would be questionable. so it's the time frame for this issue. Also there is no in match functionality that allows anyone to just leave the match. how ever this idea the "killing one self on first hook is banable" is crap. why? because in match you can try to get free, OR decide not to. and in match during struggle you can decide to press the button or not. This is programmed in the game. the "leave match" button is OUT OF the match into a menu functionality thus why it was a "bannable" offense. this functionality was meant to be there for emergency purposes (can't move, can't get out of match etc) not to get out because you don't like it.
I don't know how you got any of that from my post.
-
If you ignore survivors for 4 gens to protect three you will more than likely lose.
Three gen is not a strong strategy. It can be used as a delay tactic but two survivors on either end of the three gens will get them done.

*bashes OP*

If the killer is on the map, they are camping.

Bodyblocking someone in a corner is also a mechanic in the game, you gonna tell me you're okay with that happening to you?
Bodyblocking in the way described is a bannable offence. You may get a 5 minute ban for DCing but they will get far more if you report them.

Survivor DC:
- Killer gets 250 Brutal points. (iirc)
- If killer has BBQ they cannot gain that token. Loss of 25% bp bonus.
- Lost hook points. 500 for hook 200 for hook stage.
- No Emblems points towards pip.
Survivor dies on 1st hook:
- Killer gets 1100 points. 500 for hook and 600 for three hook stages.
- If killer has BBQ, gain one token eq to 25% bonus points.
- Killer gains Emblem progress towards a pip.
Those "killers" that complain about the new DC system either can't do the math or are survivors wanting to be able to DC when things don't go their way.
No killer should be upset by this change unless they are the type that DC when gates are openned.
-
The issue will go away once they remove rank from the end screen.
-
Devs
-
Clearly, matchmaking issues are due to algorithm bugs and ranks being shown at the end screen.
Nothing to do with lack of killers.
-
Stop renting out BHVR's servers and bending them to your will.
-
Months?
No
Years
-
Nope. They want a chapter every three months. Now go buy more cosmetics.
-
Grim Pantry is fine. Awhile back, the Devs removed that one pallet and has been perfect ever since.

I want justice. I want post trial reports to actually do something. Penalty hell take away his whole BP for the sacrifice and the hits and the down. Unsportsmanlike conduct at its finest. Oh boo hoo he didn't make silver emblem. Big deal most killers that do this don't care about rank or piping. All they do is ruin the game.
If the goal is ruining the game then losing bp isn't a big deal.
-
TL;DR
-
If you down a survivor at the gate you have 3 seconds to pick them up.

Pretty sure they haven’t said much about iri head, from what I’ve seen was Peanits suggesting it was only a insta down when the survivor is X metres away, so a huntress can’t just hug survivors for insta downs
24 meters should do it.

I can't believe a killer would do that to a survivor.
Just going around and telling lies to newbies :'(
Killers are so heartless. 😭

I have to ask, what kind of cooldown does the Plague have? You could puke back to back all you like.
And to play devil's advocate, a lot of the perks you mentioned have strict activation conditions that need to be met before they can activate. Something like Unbreakable can only activate if the killer slugs someone for a while and can only be used once, PGTW requires you to hook someone first so there's already effectively a cooldown in terms of how quickly you can down and hook people.
I don't mind cooldowns where they make sense, personally. The Doctor's a great example of it. He doesn't have a cooldown on his normal Shock Therapy, only on Static Blast. If Static Blast had no cooldown, it would break the game. You could sit there and spam Static Blast over and over and the survivors would never be able to do gens.
what kind of cooldown does the Plague have?
Idk, when is her rework scheduled?
