Onyro can go through him, but then they're demanifested. This is exactly why stbfl was made, to counter this playstyle.
-
3 gens are usually a skill issue anyway. A bare minimum of map knowledge is gen spawns, not the specific areas but the general area
-
Every Bubba I get is a tunneling face camper who ignores the endurance from getting off hook.

My matches as killer have been incredibly difficult the past few days. P100 survivors every lobby, cracked survivors juicing me and removing my ankles. And look i completely get that its normal to suck especially when i dont run Meta .I'm used to this every 5 or so games but this has been an ongoing match after match. I feel drained...I want to know if something internally. If mmr has been cranked to maximum overdrive or something.
There's very little middle ground in playstyle, and you get booted to super survivor lobbies very fast

The current meta is the 2nd strongest killers have ever had (gen kick being 1st) tied with soloQ being completely unplayable at the moment with people constantly giving up.
I sincerely do not not how any killer player can complain rn outside of them having a skill issue.
Killers get boosted to top tier lobbies with 4 stacks and get stomped right back

Once you confirm a survivor is gonna spin the best thing to do is to stop moving and walk backwards a little bit. They'll either spin further in range, or they'll run into you like a brick wall.
see, I try that, but I still get launched into the middle of nowhere

No and aim assist only screws you when near objects. Survivors spinning is taking advantage of killer piss poor FoV. If a survivor spins you thats a skill issue. Try not lunging an taping M1 instead, turn with the survivor, or wait out the spin then hit them.
I do that. console still has auto aim

Killer sided game. Noticed how the incentive has been 100% survivor throughout the event? Why would anyone want to play an unbalanced match as survivor?

The answer is to not get bent out of shape by losing a single game.
I never understand this mentality that losing a match is somehow an indicator of imbalance or something that needs correcting.
Even the top, #1 players lose sometimes. And, spoiler alert, despite what people think internally, the average forum user here is not the entity's gift to DbD and is very far from being 'the top'. In most cases, it's just ego and people who can't handle the idea that they might just not be the 'max MMR god tier skilled player' they claim to be.
because a barely coordinated team with a basic amount of map knowledge kills ALL killer gen pressure unless they can teleport around. you can not defend gens with basic location callouts because survivors will disappear before you can ever see them
you can not proxy gen pressure because gens fly too fast, and commiting to any chase will lose you the game, you can't drop chase because the survivors will heal 10secs after you drop it
it's a miserable experience with just a 2 man that requires you to super sweat at every single level. it's not fun for 1/2 of the player experience and you can't leave. the killer is stuck not having fun till the match is over making it even less fun
-
I don't see much of the no heal meta. I see people healing SUPER fast as soon as they're out of chase. If I stop committing to a chase for about 10secs, they're back and the time was wasted
-
I don't use aura reads in my favorite builds. Just make the survivors run a little
-
@Astel said:
I don't think it is skill issue. There should be more information about teammates for Solo survivors. The direct way would be making voice chat, which would be horrible idea. The best thing that devs can do is letting survivors to see teammates' loadouts, reveal AFC bar progess to other survivors, and make Kindred basekit(except for killer aura revealing part) imo.
There's a massive amount of information on other survivors. You know who's being chased, who's doing totems, who's doing chests, who's doing gens, and who's doing gens just from the profiles on the left. The only info solo q doesn't get are perk callous and the actual position of other survivors
Bond exists though, so the only information other survivors lack are perk callouts like "killer has lightborn"

Tunnel, proxy camp, tunnel, proxy camp, slug, tunnel, slug, proxy camp. Such fun games.
Y'all killers really throw an entire game because a good survivor ran you around for a little too long and instead of breaking chase and patrolling gens you continue chase until 3 gens pop and then camp or tunnel one out. Even worse are the ones who tunnel and camp at 5 gens 💀
As a 50/50 killer/survivor I don't understand how y'all find that fun at all or rewarding? I get that a lot of survivors are over altruistic and throw the game trying to help that survivor but most of the time the gens get done and 3 get out
Proxy camp because killers don't have effective anti gen besides the altruism punish. The meta has made both sides very unfun
-
Calm spirit is my current go to.
So many killers are using friends forever, so calm spirit and distortion means I can camp gens all game and actually get us out
Most games I go 3 1/2 gens. I hate it

I doubt that, given that Knock Out is an incredibly rare perk to see anyone using. If slugging all four survivors in order to win was actually strong, you'd see it more.
It's incredibly powerful if you can down survivors in a dead zone. The only counter play is to not help other survivors or a two perk investment
The issue is how unreliable the locations are and the need for a small amount of communication between survivors still up

Is this the new forum meta? First it was calling Killer players mentally ill because they played in a certain way, now it seems to be an increase of people throwing the word 'evil' around. I'll take a thousand matches where I get slugged over the ridiculous trend of trying to denigrate people in the worst possible ways for playing a game in a way some people don't like.
If you've reached the point where you're comparing any legitimate play-style to being evil in even the loosest sense, maybe you've reached the terminus; your journey in DBD is over, get off the bus.
The first word that came to mind started with an f. I'm just sidestepping a ban. I'm a killer main

It's so hard to say anymore. The complete lack of transparency is frustrating. I don't understand why we're not worthy of seeing what is happening with matchmaking in the game we bought. And I don't understand how we're supposed to provide feedback on an invisible system, or how the devs are supposed to improve a system based on blind feedback.
Players might be toxic or elitist about seeing MMR? Ok. Ban them. You have a report system. Players might be competitive? Yeah I can't imagine what pubs would look like if that were the case. Good thing it doesn't happen now. Players don't want to see their MMR or don't want others to see it? Let them turn it off.
Because killers used to afk all game to drop lobbies to a certain range. They couldn't handle the bully squads of the time (they were oppressive) and wanted to have fun kicking bad players

you mean 2% per survivor with 12% on all 4. I know. I am just saying that -action speed can incentive killer to not tunnel because they get same reward of -100% action speed and -100% healing speed. well to be precise, you need to use 33% to get 99% for same reward.
Pulsar is correct in saying that tunneling is best strategy but he also says that there is no change that equals removing one survivor out of the game. I am just stating there is one thing that is similar to removing a survivor out of the game because it gives similar reward. It depends on what extend your willing to go to change tunnelling. are your trying provide alternative or do you just want tunnelling play-style not possible?
There is nothing that bhvr can do that will ever match the option to remove a survivor fast. Maybe give the unhooked survivor minus gen speed for a bit, and the unhooking survivor a slight boost. This makes the unhooker a JUICY target despite two health states. The issue becomes the way it's super easy to abuse.
-
3 gens is a map knowledge issue
The only time it's not is if a killer is building for that 3 gen early
While there us some rng, most gens spawn in the same general areas. (The I shaped map will be generally balanced to either side with one in the center)
There's a perk specifically for this called kindred

thanatophobia or -action speed is almost as good as removing survivors out of the game. If you have 30% -action speed across 3 survivors, 3x 30% = -90% action speed penalty across entire team(1 person is getting chased).
It is just that survivors disliked forever freddy-build because forever builds potentially allowed for killer to not tunnel but still win because their perks acted as removing a survivor from the game. a 4vs1 played as if it was 3vs1. now those perks are trash so only option is to tunnel because tunnelling is only way to acquire game-delay.
that is also why all chase perks and "anti-tunnel" which are chase perks end up always being the most powerful perks IF they have good effects. See how MFT instantly became meta when it was viable chase perk, viable chase perks -> create viable anti-tunnel.
It hasn't been at 30% in a long time. It's 8% per survivor with a bonus 12% at all 4

Hey guys. Can anyone of the killer mains explains me WHY THE HELL THE MOST KILLER JUST CAMP NOWADAYS? It is really really annoying. It is like every killer does it now. I also play killer and can tell it is possible WITHOUT ANY CAMPING OR TUNNELING to get all survivors. Everyone who says different is just not a good killer whatsoever.
Sry for my rant but really it is like they can not deal with the fact they are simply get no one without camping. It is disgusting and there should be some more consequences for camping especially cause it is hella annoying that almost every killer has to do such stuff to even get anything done. It should be forbidden for killers if you ask me.
Cause look if you camp on a hooked survivor no matter which healthstate the helping survivor is it is the next person which lands on that hook where the rescued survivor was before. Because the first hit get a healthy survivor hurt and ends the rescue. So the survivor has to do it again and in that time the killer can recover. That is so stupid to be honest. So what is even the point of rescue someone with a camperkiller? There is no point. Cause it will be just not possible to help someone without get hooked afterwards. Also camping most of the times come along with tunneling and slugging. So not even did the killer camp the hell out of the survivors, no he slug you when you want to help and goes after the just rescued survivor. Sry to say that but these players should have some punishment for such playstyle. Cause if there is someone camping and tunneling, there is just simply nothing you can really do against it. Sure sometimes there are these who does this, who are crappy at that. But I saw a lot of highrank killers who does it. So these absolutly knew how to do it and that is simply not right.
Look I get it that there are sure also a lot of annoying survivors, but for real that does not excuse such a behaviour at all. SO STOP IT! It is disgusting and destroy the fun of the game. It is just nothing to be proud of, cause it only means killer who rely on such playstyle are simply very bad in playing normal. I saw a lot of normal killers, these who do not play like that and that is much more fun and exciting than these, I have to call it like this, fools who are nowhere near the based killers. And it also is more fair. Sometimes we as survivors win against a based killer and sometimes the killer does. It is up to WHO ACTUALLY HAS THE BETTER SKILL. AND NO CAMPING, TUNNELING AND SLUGGING ARE NO SKILLS WHATSOEVER, IT IS THE ABSENCE OF SKILL.
And everyone who now think OH BUT I DO TUNNELING AND IT IS OKAY CAUSE I DO IT NOT EVERYTIME AND SOMETIMES I NEED TO TUNNEL. Let me tell you this YOU DO NOT! Cause you can absolutley dominate the survivors without any of it. Everyone who say otherwise is just not good at it. There is simply no reason for tunneling at all. (Even when you have a bully squad)
Okay I just wanted to say it because it become a lot since the flashlights are gone. Nearly every killer let out his inner psycho and use these playstyles all the time. And I am very mad now.
A lot if killers do really well to start with because mmr throws them against similar levels of survivors at first. Low level killers, low level survivors. The win streak bumps them up mmr really fast and they hit the wall HARD. They stop winning or making any progress at all in the match because they skyrockets up to high level survivors.
This feels bad for the killer and they have to turn toxic to compete. They still lose and even out below the super rough survivors and now everyone suffers because the toxic behavior against high level survivors doesn't feel good to lower level survivors

I remember the last time when they were killswitched (it was only like 8-9 days but IT FELT LIKE 2 MONTHS 😂) let’s hope they will be back before the event starts cuz I’m tired of using boring medkits and toolboxes and I’m pretty sure most Killer players also hate seeing them almost every lobby
It was nice to take lightborn off for a bit, but flashlights are already back and the easy hits on folks going for saves or pallet blinds are too good

Why do you think SWF is a problem and how should it be fixed?
Depends. A little communication with a little map knowledge and the killer loses all gen pressure, they have to commit to every chase because if they don't, the survivors heal in a few seconds
4 random folks in a swf learning the game are almost worse than solo
4 folks with a basic understanding of most maps will dunk on most killers. Unless they play toxic and force the survivors to an early disadvantage or easy 3 gen

10 seconds of aura of an exposed survivor (12 if using LP) is enough for all the killers I'm facing.
A perk that literally shows your aura and makes you a one hit while someone is already on the hook?
Come on, do you see this being around in 6 months?
If I had told you this would be a perk 6 months ago, would you have believed me?
Distortion plus calm spirit kills all killer tracking outside of scratch marks
I run at least Distortion and have zero issues
That being said, you're right. They're gonna get their money out of the new killer before they swing around to nerfs

Probably because killers cried about it....just like dh, ds, mft, distortion, etc
Half your examples are good nerfs. Especially with all the gen rush/second chance perks.
As a killer main, all my games have been me seeing a survivor in the distance, then them sprint bursting or lithe-ing into an impossible chase. Every one of the perks you listed made that possible/worse

The only way to get them is to hit them through walls, or from behind the locker as the backs have no collision

People are complaining about SWFs but how many teams are that strong? How many times you are going against strong teams like that. Ayrun and his team is probably one of the best teams in DbD and it's really hard to beat them but i don't think most of SWF teams are problematic or not unbeatable. You can win most of games without issues.
And the most important question: Should DbD be balanced around teams like that or not? What is your thoughts?
Just a little bit of communication turns the game into a sweat fest for killer. All gen pressure outside of kicking them is completely lost
If they jump up to the next level and coordinate which gens they're working on, it's almost impossible to get a 2k because you can't get a good 3gen

So its illegal to use resources from maps now? The only point of using WoO is extending chases, so now extending chases is bad, healing perks are also bad, perks for repairing gens are also bad. Whats the point of playing survivor in a killer head if they cannot do anything? Even repairing gens is also seen as gen-rush, literally the only objective for survivors, and there is always something to complain on the killer side, how many times have you played soloq? is horrendous, between the lack on information between teammates, the tunnelling brainless and slowdown meta, you are lucky you still have survivors to go against in your game, its really depressing the current state of the game.
Killers have no time to run the chase. You commit to one and you hear 3 gens pop. You're now halfway done with the match for 1 hook
Most random groups of survivors lose because they all die trying for the unhook. You get 1 random camping gens and survivors win almost every time
-
@Tsulan said:
Most healthy meta would be no meta at all.
Like what we had a couple of months after the meta shake up.
I mean, survivor meta barely changed over the last 5 years.
Killer meta also doesn´t look good. Slowdown perks still make up the biggest chunk of what killers pick.
That's because gens fly at the speed of light, and survivors heal in just a few seconds.
Gen slowdown are the only perks that have a real impact

They say it's a legitimate way to play. I'm not digging through years of info on the subject to pull it out for you
-
They've already said they won't do anything
Tunneling is a symptom of a larger issue. New killers run into swfs and get stomped hard. Just a little bit of communication and coordination will turn the tables ez
Getting stomped the new killers start Tunneling, and start to win with proxy gen pressure (everyone is going for the save and not sitting on gens) so they keep doing it
To fight tunneling, just sit on gens
-
Unless I have a challenge to do, if they drop their item, didn't tbag, and didn't try to blind me (any one you don't need all 3) I'll generally let folks go.
If they get 5 generally and no kills, I'll even open the gates for them
Even if it's a 4 stack sweat fest

According to nightlight.gg Pain Resonance is the most used killer perk #1. So if we go by Bhvr mentality it should be nerfed (again), just like dead hard was nerfed again and MFT.
Mft was needed because it was toxic to the game and forced killers to a chase that takes much longer, sacrificing Gen pressure and losing the obj, or forcing Gen pressure and allowing for an easy reset

I see two flashlights and I pop on lightborn.
A quick fake like they can blind you, and they will always try. That's at least 1-2 free hits where they're not running away with mft

It’s unfortunate that this happens.
Sucks to be BM’d against, and I opt to never BM other players… it’s a choice we have both in life and in gaming.
Survivors aren’t toxic, it’s the current mood/ personalities of ppl who play them… same goes for Killers.
From what I’ve learned from other player who BM in DBD and other games; They’ve had it happen to them and they choose to behave in the same way towards others they play against who may or may not have behaved in cruelty toward them.
This never helps anything, just adds to the mayhem and chaos.
Interesting tho, how there aren’t as many posts such as this where someone lifted the mood of the match or countenance of another player to where the outcome or vibe of the match was positivity.
Survivors are almost always toxic, even when I play meme games and am very obvious about it

People telling you to vault are survivor mains who've never played killer. The solution is to pressure other places, the survivors simply can't be caught there.
I suggest you make the game as boring for them as possible, look up and go make a sandwich. Take a break and look at some memes
