It's the back and forth of how toxic the community is. A good 4stack swf is MISERABLE, it's not fun to play against, and it influences a lot of baby killers to tunnel/face camp because they feel that's the only way they can get anyone
This ghost was pissed with someone and took it out on you

What region? I never see it

Will be fun to wait 30min for a game because no one wants to play killer anymore.
Nobody wants to play killer anyway, ever notice it's always got the +100% bp bonus?

Oh you’re one of THOSE killers… just hook the guy and move on with the game, and you would have avoided this whole situation. Hope is fine, MFT is fine. If he ran you around the whole map, there’s some work to be done on your end as well.
Mft is not fine by any stretch. It's stupidly op because, after a single hit, the survivor is now halfway across the map (tested with oni blood drops). Catching up to this ONE survivor will cost you a gen of progress, multiply by 3 because survivors happened to start separated
The obv solution is not to commit to the survivor and focus gen pressure, he heals and it's a full reset with no hooks while you're up against ANOTHER survivor with mft. I routinely see 2-3 a game
The only reason survivors aren't winning is because they 3 gen themselves, or go for twitch clips
A good change would be to make it an exhaustion perk, and give you exhaustion for the duration of the endurance effect. This now makes it a tactical choice, and gives killers who can't instant down a shot at countering it with smart perk choice
-
I just use a meme nemesis build that EATS pallets on purpose
-
Every match has turned into, hit survivor and they disappear halfway across the map, chase them down, and profit as the whole rest of the team fails to coordinate to get them free
Or it's against a bully squad
There's very little in-between, and neither is fun to play

What's so frustrating about it?
Bright flashes in a dark room are physically painful
Every flash hurts my eyes. It's better than when flashes were just plain white screens, but my eyes are still tired after working all day. It's nice to give them a break with lightborn

No, I've played killer more than a day. I just disagree with you. Remember, just because you're all tribal over a computer game doesn't mean everyone else is. Don't project your feelings onto me.
Plenty of killer mains makes good points, but people like you don't. You just exaggerate how difficult how hard it is to play killer and pretend that survivor is ez mode.
Never said it was easy. I said it wasn't fun to play against. Well, swf is easy, you just need a bit of communication
Getting the second chance is easy, capitalizing on it is hard

If a killer and a survivor are at similar skill levels, at best, the survivor can be an annoyance. Without a strong SWF you can't actually start bullying a killer. But a killer can make it so a survivor doesn't need to hold their controller for minutes at a time. They might throw the game in the process but they can do that. The best part is that to tunnel and camp as killer requires limited skill, so any killer with a bad attitude can ruin a match for someone else if they feel like it.
You can't draw lines between the two roles as they are not the same. Face camping someone to death is not the same as running adrenaline. You think it is, but it's not. A killer can grief an individual survivor in ways the survivor cannot do back, unless the survivor is substantially better than the killer they are facing, and at that point they are just outplaying the killer.
Hard survivor main. Has never once touched killer for more than a day. Forgets that the VAST majority of games are a two man swf at the least
Face camping is an issue, but completely ignoring the very easy, and free second chance perks that survivors get, that have zero counter play, isn't helpful
The current survivor meta is just hold W all chase, because they'll get away with it with their perks

Typical killer logic. Stop claiming that survivors can play unfair. They cant. Only killers are able to circumvent basic gameplay and make the game miserable for anyone they chose. If you get triggered by an emote after you already lost the game, its up to you.
Calm spirit shuts down the doctor, and a whole bunch of perks. Adrenaline and made for this heal at no risk with the benefit of making you uncatchable.
Let's not forget flashlights and flashbangs in areas you can't counter them shutting down the act of picking people up.
Both sides have ways to make the game infuriating for the other, it's just you and your friends can do it against one guy while the other guy can only be rude to one at a time

Have played this since almost day one, split 50/50 survivor and killer, have been playing killer main past couple of years and it has had its ups and downs, killer now I feel is unplayable and pardon the pun wil kill this game, fewer people are playing killer despite what the devs may tell you with “their algorithms”.When all the decent killers go I ask what’s the sound of one hand clapping…….
Depends. Sometimes I get matched with folks at my level, and it's great.
Sometimes it's 4 prestige 100s and I know the match will be a sweat fest so I leave before or be the friendly killer.
-
I play nice and fair, until they hit me with flashlights.
Playing the game at night, then BOOM, white screen. It's physical painful.
As soon as you flash light me I turn and tunnel you out. I no longer care about fun or fair. I usually run meme builds anyway

I would recommend just taking a break. There's plenty of other games you can play besides DBD that you don't need to force yourself to suffer during this period.
You ever hear about squeaky wheels and grease? Nothing changes anymore unless you complain. Remember insta blinds?
-
Or the devs could... fix the game? Or make their Band-Aids, work maybe?
-
Was doing doctor for the easy bp max, but yeah, it's back to pyramid head ig
-
Cool, so as I'm complaining about, the game is broken and punishes killers for trying to play. Got it. Thank you.
Devs fix your game
-
Nah, flashbanged him twice and got out

Try to not be the one who gets chased or downed the first. There is 25% chance that it will happen to you. If it you are always the first to go down and get tunneled, then you are doing something wrong.
Hide better or just run away sooner when you see that the killer is coming.
It happens for 25% of my surv games, but once you're down for any reason, that's it man.
Another perfect example of excusing toxic behavior btw.

You really need a clear understanding of what toxic really means.
Camping is not toxic in any game...
I have one. It's being unable to play the game for about 15mins because one guy says you don't get to have fun. How is one guy ruining the experience for everyone not toxic?
-
off the hook and sab is a perk

well if you buy call of duty and you're going 0-14 someone is going to tell you to uninstall the game which is the equivalent of saying "no you can't play"
But if my teammate or your teammate is going to camp in a corner and at least be able to get some kills to help the team then they doin' what they gotta do, assuming you're playing TDM. While I do not like it and think it's an unskillful tactic and extremely annoying, I understand it. Most of the time it's a noob or a random kid sitting in the corner that can't get kills like the other 11 people are that are running around.
ok, cool. still toxic, but a toxic response to a toxic environment
the thing about killers is that it's not tdm, and they're still ruining the game for the first poor soul they run into
stop making exscuses for toxic behavior

Camping and tunneling is never personal unless you bring a key or swich last sec. Its a tactical choice they use to bait the other survivor to him like that they leave gen alone. Camping and tunneling is not toxic imagine if killer start saying doing gen and opening the gate are toxic its their objectif ffs.
see this kids? don't be this.
it is toxic because it's giving someone a 2min respawn timer into a 5-15min que. it's 1 person looking at that shiny game you bought, and saying "no you can't play it"
then it's always "just get good," or "just use a certain perk"
killing is not toxic, camping is. same thing in call of duty
-
none, chases are already pretty lengthy with gen times. if anything they need a faster killer
-
not when I play but I run devour hope on mine now
-
I say entity constructs, like the birds
-
I play on switch. Every update leads to software errors for about 2 weeks. This system would make the game unplayable for me, for at least that time, and maybe more

If you keep getting stunned then maybe you should see how you can countered it better. Being blinded mean you should be checking your surroundings.
it was out of blind, back into blind. i couldn't see my surroundings after the first one

So clicking a flashlight that does literally nothing to the killer if they look away and allows the killer to continue to perform every action in the game is more toxic than the killer camping which literally prevents the survivor from partaking in any game action at all? Try again.
not clicking, blinding. that ######### hurts my eyes. can't turn brightness down or I'll lose people in coldwin even. take your gotcha moment back and use the context clues of blind, blind, blind, blind to figure ######### out

DS, flashlights and flashbangs are not 3 minutes. DS only works if you tunnel.
not tunneling if the chase leads you to the guy
-
@Marigoria said:

If you're being stunned for 3 minutes in place you're going against a hacker, and that has nothing to do with normal pallets/flashlights
just a swf that wanted to ruin my day. ds, then flash light, then flash bang, flash light again, ect
-
@Marigoria said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2440987#Comment_2440987
Blinding the killer isn't toxic, neither is pallet stunning.
it is when you spend like 3mins just being stunned in place, which has happened to me
individual actions aren't toxic, it's how it's used. don't give survs the pass using the same logic as face campers
-
@Marigoria said:
Killers will camp a survivor at 4 gens because they let one gen pop after chasing that survivor for 3 minutes and will say the camping was justified because of "genrush".
Survivors can be, and a lot of times are toxic, but their toxicity at least doesn't stop you from playing the game. Killers have way more power in terms of being toxic than survivors do.
Sure, teabagging and clicking their flashlight is annoying, but you can still chase them, hit them, hook them etc.
You can't do much about tunneling and camping and end up with almost no points.
I disagree on the killers having more power to be toxic, it's def a 50/50 with flash lights, flash bangs, flash mines. those hurt man, and stun just as well as any pallet
-
@UncleStabby said:
A dc counts as a kill. So you got a 3k. Any survivor who escapes through hatch was GIVEN their 'Escaped' status, and it wasn't earned.
Dcing should never be a valid tactic, of this I can agree. Still, two dead, one dced, that match was a success for you.
doesn't count as a kill for the challenges

My guess would be that you go against 4 man SWFs, because both you and the 4 man SWFs have long queue times and at some point, the Matchmaker simply throws something together.
The same happened some time ago (before Crossplay) on PS4, low Rank Killers and high Rank Survivor-SWFs both had long Queue times and were matched against each other eventually.
Or are your Queue times instant? If they are, I am most likely completely wrong.
instant ques, only super long with crossplay off because the switch is a small crowd

Drops aren't given priority. Whoever communicates the action to sever first takes priority, whether the stun or the hit.
"I am presuming that these hits occurred at pallets. There is now stun validation in the game, it prioritises the person who did the action first - so a survivor dropping the pallet or the killer getting the hit, however it does mean that the killer has the notification of the hit (which is instant) before the server has processed all the information and then can often reject the hit - this is why you see the hit on your side as a killer but the survivor remains uninjured."
-Mandy Talk
damn, you're right. server just steals hits now though, which is fun
-
this isn't a bug, but a feature of the way they handle lag now. pallet drops are given priority
-
I say they drop the hindered effect and the joke addons for something else
two surv hits enough to essentially break loops
-
I hope it works, but I think it's a placebo thing. I always fill it out, mainly cause I'm waiting for the game to load other inputs
edit: always zero for meyers. I don't even play with him or ghost face, it's not fun
-
the problem is that you never included a way to turn it off. a fair balance would be to cut the speed boost in half, roll it into no miter and make it so only you can pick yourself up of the ground
maybe an initial sprint burst when the chase kicks in, followed by exhausted too so you can't chain this and lithe and sprint burst
-

You're not wrong, but when used in this context it's not stupid for me to assume you mean exploiting it as in it's an exploit, no?
it is stupid because you're intentionally ignoring the context of the conversation to make a "ha ha, killers complain about basic gameplay joke."
it's not helpful and contributes nothing

So how is that an exploit? Are you saying survivors not running when they see a killer is now an exploit?
to farm endless windows, yes. are you purposely being dense?
-
yes. playing like rats is how survivors rank up
