Well on here nothing a killer does is toxic apparently. It’s always survivors fault. Noed is because survivors didn’t get enough totems, not a reward for a killer who did poorly all game. Maps are survivor sided yet devs keep removing loops and windows, and the 4K rate is sky high. Killer tunneling? That’s survivors fault since they did a rescue, right? See the theme here?

Yeah, I see a pretty glaring theme with your posts. You are a bad Survivor, and a Troll here. If you spent even 10% of the energy you do complaining here on playing the game and practicing, you wouldn't have the issues you whine about. This is a PvP game. The roles have mutually exclusive goals. The only things one has to do to be a good sport (regardless of role) are:

    1. Don't cheat, either by hack or lag spike.
    2. Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
    3. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

And for the record, your endless trolling over here is not being gracious in your defeat. You need to take ownership of your failures if you want to get better at this game.

  • Then, after all that, vote with your wallet. Go seek your bliss. If you keep playing, then we know this whole, long post was just hot hair.

A 4K for the killer across ranks? The stats show the majority of games are in favor of the killer, and that over 70% are 4k rounds. How can people say the game is at all survivor biased when the data shows otherwise?

Because there are always more NEW players than old ones. New Players don't know what they are doing yet, and the Killer starts more powerful but grows weaker as the Survivors learn how to cooperate and coordinate. Thus, in the weaker Ranks the Killer wins more, in the middle Ranks it evens out, and at potent Ranks the Survivors have the edge. Because there is always a glut of Potatoes, it skews the numbers. The DEV, however, can filter by Ranks and get rid of the white noise to know where the average Players and kill ratios really rest.

  • I make that cheater's game a miserable experience. I don't approve of the behavior and will drop all pretense of playing the game normally to make sure that person is screwed. Most of the time the other Survivors have no idea why I'm tormenting one Player. They don't know that jerk tried to point them out, sandbag, them etc. They just think I'm tunneling and camping. I'm ok with that. I take my pound of flesh from the cheater and make sure (if there is end game chat) they know why I did it.

The problem here is that as Survivor you never really know when Aura reading is going to come into play. You can guess, but you never really know until that token goes away.

With Insidious the Killer picks their moment and location and waits in ambush while a Survivor standing still is an easy target so the two are not really comparable to one another.

Yes they do. They know exactly when Barbeque & Chili is going to go off for example. They know when Bitter Murmur goes off. They have an excellent notion when most of them trigger if they are paying attention.

  • It should work exactly the same as the Killer Perk: Insidious, i.e. there are no tokens. The Survivor must remain immobile for three seconds. The aura will remain hidden until the Survivor moves again. That's it.

  • Sadly this behavior is rampant and has nothing to do with crashes. I'm pretty much taking a break until the DC penalty is back. I wasted more time waiting for matches, only to have them fail due to disconnecting losers, than I did playing. My time is worth a lot to me, so I'll dabble in other things for a bit and check back every week or two.

  • There are constant disconnects and they are NOT crashes. They are people just abusing it because they can.

  • @GrimReaperJr1232 said:

DC penalties were disabled because console ports atm are very unstable and more prone to crashes than usual. Odds are, this'll be fixed by this Tuesday or the next, and then the penalty will be re-enabled.

I hope so because my time is too valuable to waste on waiting to queue up in a match that is DOA.

  • @glitchboi said:

Why the hell did they disable it? Are they doing a test or something

I have no idea. What is worse the people who disconnect aren't even banned from the end game chat. They hang out to gloat on and off about it. It is ridiculous.

You can rework a perk without nerfing it. Thanaphobia got reworked and it's about the same power. I think Spine Chill is a fine perk, but vs GF and Myers it is stupid.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2288110#Comment_2288110

And what would that play style adjustment be. I'm also not sure what they could do with it. Maybe it's a matter of changing Myers and GF but the stalk they both have fits their character so well.

Spine chill is completely fine and fair vs the majority of the cast, even when they are using stealth perks like tinkerer. But to have it completly stuff the whole point of two killers kit, is ridiculous. Especially with how everyone is so hot to trot to nerf spirit because of her insane anti loop potential even though stealth is always an option vs her.

You have to remember that Spine Chill does NOT tell them what direction you are coming from. It doesn't help them at all if you are Moonwalking or slightly looking away as you move forward. You can get very good at this. More to the point you can flash them and look away and confuse them so they don't think you are coming for them but chasing someone or moving around. In the end, Survivors have to do Generators. They will have to go through dead zones. You can confuse them and drive them to places you want them to go.

  • @Steah said:

So i made a post about spine chill earlier. Did i want it nerfed? Well despite saying i don't people still thought i did. I want it changed so it doesn't completly screw Myers and GF. We can buff it other ways to make up for it too. I would feel the same about calm spirit but no one uses that one but it's just as guilty for messing with Doc. Just like how slippery meat used to counter trapper and they changed it so it doesn't shut down one killer.

General response seems to be "No. it's okay for a perk to completely shut down a killers power. GF counter play to spine chill is to not use half of his power."

Well if that is okay, why is it so unacceptable that in chase vs a stridor spirit all you can do is guess? Maybe the counter play to stridor spirit is to hide. If it is so acceptable to have 1 perk counter killer's whole kit and playstyle, then it's fine for spirit and nurse to shut down looping. Try hiding instead, i know you spent all the time learning how to loop and you find hiding boring, but too bad.

Look, I understand your frustration. I will say, however, that Spine Chill is not the end of the world. I play Myers myself, Spooky Myers (Scratch Mirror) most of the time. I get around Spine Chill with just some minor adjustments to play style. The problem with trying to change the Perk is that it is actually more useful against the high mobility Killers like Spirit, Nurse, new and way too improved Wraith, and Blight (and to some degree Oni too). Against those Killers you need every possible warning, and have to leave the second Spine Chill flashes. You just go, don't try to guess if it is an accidental flash. You just go.

My point is that there are TONS of Perks which give Killers stealth temporarily in this game. If Spine Chill were changed to be more effective against sneaky Killers, it would also destroy its effectiveness against high mobility types who would just continue to use stealth imbuing Perks and now the time for the heads start simply won't be enough. Tinkerer, for example, is a great Perk for Killers and extremely popular with the high mobility crowd. It turns those Killers stealth. If you were to change Spine Chill, by the time you got the warning it is too late.

I legit say Im pressuring gens but how am I supposed to pressure them when the survivors are working on 3 gens separately?

even If I keep one in chase the others do gens like madmans, how can I pressure them lmfao

You don't worry about it and keep fighting. Look, two Generators pop on me all the time, but I usually end up winning. If you are seeing two Generators pop right at the start, immediately go to a 3-Generator strategy. Stake out the section of the map where the closest three Generators are located and use that as your base of operations. I'm not saying don't leave it, but I am saying that make sure your pressure there is always consistent. Survivors gravitate to the path of least resistance.

In this way you keep chasing, earning points, and making pressure, but your end game zone is set. More than likely if you have consistent pressure in this area, you will also clear out the pallets and create the necessary dead zones. If you get someone down, hook them in that zone, near Generators you are also patrolling if at all possible. Get another down hook them there too. If you are getting pushed hard on Generators early, you have to be realistic.

All that being said, two Generators is nothing. I've seen two Generators pop in the first 90 seconds or so and then didn't allow another up. Remember that every Generator they pop shrinks the map.

There is a severe lack of understanding and generalization on the survivor's end when it comes to tunneling and camping. Many cannot or will not distinguish between the timings of these tactics and when a killer was actually trying to be nice and will call the killer a camper or tunneller regardless.

    • Camping at end-game: Camper
    • Camping at 5 gens: Camper.
    • Slugging at end-game: Try-hard
    • Slugging at 5 gens: Try-hard
    • Tunneling at 1 gen left and 2 hooks on the board; Tunneller
    • Tunneling at 5 gens on one person: Tunneller

I play usually a match or two nice, get beat, need to escort the survivors out of the game and get smack talked and call the above even though I let people get uncontested unhooks etc. After that I return to not caring anymore and do what I have to do in order to kill.

Survivor's are a key reason why people stop caring about the enjoyment of survivors. Killers are expected to 'get good' to be 6k hour players or just lose.

I'm just a Killer; I will Camp, Tunnel, Slug, Mori, Herd, 3-Gen, etc. as a specific match calls for them. I'm always a so-called "try-hard" as I'm not sure why anyone plays a game to half-ass it. :) When I play Survivor my job is to survive. When I play Killer it is to kill. That's it. The only things a Player has to do to be a good sport in Dead by Daylight are:

    1. Don't cheat, either by lag spike or hack.
    2. Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
    3. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

Abide by these three rules and you are being nice and a good sport. Everything else is on the table.

  • I think it is excellent on Mikey, Spooky in particular. I don't need it for indoor maps but since I like to fight with this build outside, it is gangbusters when I pull a huge map. Worth the investment when I'm not putting in a map offering (every time).

  • I played it until they took it down and it never crashed on me, not once. Hopefully it will be back soon.

You can balance the game for both high and low level play.

Tons of games do it. if DotA releases a new character that destroys low level players but is terrible in high level play what do they do? They buff the character, and then change the design of them to make it so they aren't as good in bad player's hands.

What about the flipside, a character who is really bad in the hands of bad players but really good in the hands of good players? You just nerf the character, because it doesn't affect low level players because they can't actually abuse the character that way. Look at this video and how it talks about the base jumper item in TF2

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1p42KtZOCw&t=3m23s

You watch a lot of videos. :) Have thought about cutting back?

Nurse and spirit are the only viable killers at the highest level, and survivors want both of them nerfed. What do you think is going to happen? There is a spirit thread here every day, top level streamers keep saying she needs nerfed with the exception of tru3 and look what happened to him for saying that...

I think the DEV will always continue to move in their slow, glacial way to achieve a rough balance for the MOST Players. Do I think they care about the highest level? No. Their job is to make sure the balance works for the majority of Players. The highest level of play is tainted by SWF, and that is why only certain Killers have a chance. Again, you are mixing apples and oranges. I think that once MMR is in play, they will take new steps to either up more Killers to that level, or slow Survivors down and nerf those Killers.

Dead by Daylight is always going to be a work in progress. It is a chaos engine with so many variables that nothing can be altered without countless other unexpected (and often unwanted) consequences. I think you are just parroting the stuff you saw on a stream, and you need to consider the source. They only care about them. The DEV care about the majority. The highest level is a small minority.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2286851#Comment_2286851

Yes, i do. Because if high skill survivors only get matched with spirit and nurse every game (which will be a fact) then eventually they will get bored and quit. On the flip side, high level killers will probably get tired of having to sweat every single game, so they might quit.

If one side's top tier players quit, the other side's top tier players have to eventually get matched against someone. And then they will go against people far worse than them, and then those people will get upset and the cycle repeats.

This is, of course, assuming they don't actually balance the game at the top level.

Or if you don't automatically assume the sky is falling, the DEV will simply work on other Killers to make sure there is more variety at that level. The issue you are highlighting isn't an issue of MMR but rather of Killer parity. Don't mix apples and oranges.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2286683#Comment_2286683

So again, i bring back my point. When you get sick, and visit a doctor, do you question everything they tell you as well and assume they are wrong? Or do you have some baseline level of trust that they know what they are talking about?

Secondly, the game CAN be balanced around high level play, the devs just choose not to which will eventually lead to the downfall of this game, especially if MMR actually gets implemented.

Really? You think MMR will be the downfall of the game. Somehow making sure people don't play people too good for them is a bad thing? Odd, that is the same crazy argument some of the Streamers make. Again, they don't like MMR because it might show them as no better than any other person with thousands of hours.

  • I trust me. :) I have just as many hours as Jund now.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285999#Comment_2285999

I agree that people put too much emphasis on streamers. However you can't just discount them by saying "they are a streamer" so ignore them. Not saying you said that, but many do.

Streamers play this game literally as a job, they have thousands of hours in the game. I find them more credible at face value than some random forum poster. Just as you would trust a doctor knows what they are talking about when it comes to medical stuff. Generally you put some baseline level of trust in their expertise. Now if they prove otherwise that they aren't good at their job, then that can inform your opinion. But the fact that this is their job, does give them far more credibility at the start.

Except that there are people here who probably have double if not triple the hours Scott does; they just don't stream. Look, Streamers are a valuable resource (well some of them are) and I watched most of them as I was learning. I still watch a small handful because they are entertaining. A few are still teaching me new stuff. However, you have to understand that there are problems with the opinions Streamers give and all has to do with bias, i.e. how their bread is buttered. Consider:

    1. Streamers are, as you pointed out, doing this game as a job. That means that it is important to them that they look good. The only Streamers that really carry themselves (or did) on Dead by Daylight are the best of the best. That means they aren't (as a rule) really a fan of skill based matchmaking. Fighting other people just as good as them on a regular basis would make getting the content they want harder. In short, their motives are suspect.
    2. The advice they give is based around the level of play they face and that is NOT what most people play against. Their critiques of the game are based on the problems they have at the higher end of play. The game can't be balanced around the best Players because if so, as another pointed out, you won't get any newer players. Moreover, the advice they give will probably get the average player killed over and over again. They rarely target their advice by level. Some do, but most don't. They are like everyone else, seeing the game only as it applies to them.
    3. People tend to be blinded by celebrity, even fake celebrity. Remember ANYONE and I do mean anyone can, with 15 minutes of setup, be a Streamer.
  • @PerfectlyPink said:

Now this isnt really about Scott specifically or even that he's wrong about spirit counterplay, I just struggle to find the right words, and he is often at the center of these arguments for one reason or another. This is my video, I would have just made a discussion post about it, which probably would've been a better idea to get my point across, but I really don't want to type that much on a phone.

    https://youtu.be/ZY-HZqJONi8

Any one agree or disagree? I'd love to talk more about in a civil manner

Scott Jund is human, just like everyone else. I'm sure he is wrong about lots of things. People put way to much emphasis on Streamers. He is a guy that plays a lot of Dead by Daylight and has many thousands of hours. At this point there are lots of people that do that. :) Literally, by calling him out on one of his MANY (and I do many) complaints, you are just giving him more of a platform. My suggestion if you have some good advice for going against Spirit, just create a thread about it and leave Scott (and all his ilk) out of it.

So you're saying tunneling is okay and perfectly acceptable and that it's the survivor's fault? doesn't sound like you play much survivor

I play just as much Survivor (Solo in fact) as I do Killer. Due to the Rifts I've actually been playing MORE Survivor. And yes, I'm saying that when you lose, that is on you. I expect you don't have any problem taking credit for your wins. Ask yourself why it is so hard to take credit for the losses. Again, nobody gets better at this game until they swallow their pride and take ownership of the outcomes of every match.

I have all the perk i want, i farm a lot at the start so i can avoid playing for point. So when i see that 3 survivor are on 4 different gen i know its a loss and the best way to beat a 3 gen is to pressure 2 gen at the same time and the killer will gradually lose so this is not a solution. Honestly at that point i dont know what is the best solution going afk or just going for a dc take the 5 minute ban like that you save yourself some time

That is the wrong mindset to take. You turn it into a self-fulfilling prophecy. Let me put it this way, I play Myers. He is a very slow Killer. The build I tend to play never gets any faster. I win far more often than I lose and I'm 100% certain I get the same spawns statistically that you do. You go into every match playing to win, right until the end when you either do or lose. You will learn something from every game. I don't know what to tell you other than your mindset is far more likely to defeat you than the Survivors.

so you're saying that me depipping further from red ranks was justified because a killer decided to not let me play the game? If you read the post fully you would've seen that it said I was almost at red ranks. There were no other hooks between me being unhooked and rehooked. The killer would come back to hook, chase me, down me, and hook me again. I was not allowed to play the game.

Yes. You failed to earn enough to not lose a Pip. That is on you. It is the Killer's job to kill you, not to help you earn anything. This is a PvP game and your successes are YOURS earned fairly, and so are your failures.

as soon as i touched a gen in the beginning of the game. i spawned on a gen and started working. then i was tunneled from there

Don't take this the wrong way, but I doubt it. I have found, playing both Survivor and Killer, that most Survivors incorrectly identify Tunneling. Are you a brand new Player in the Ranks 16-20? If so, you are up against baby Killers who do tend to keep chasing whomever they see. It means your teammates don't know enough to defend you. Again, that isn't on the Killer. This is the game. You either rise to the challenge or you find a game you like better. I'm not trying to be mean, just direct.

I've been accused of Tunneling when I hooked TWO people before I went back and hooked the accuser again. I've been accused of Camping when I was on the other side of the map. I've been accused of being toxic when I gave everyone three hooks and never hooked the same person in a row. In short, people MAKE EXCUSES because they don't want to take ownership of their failures. Until you do, you will NEVER get better at this game.

So, I don't think you were Tunneled, and even if you were Tunneled... get over it. Stand up, right the bike, and climb back on. We all have been there. This is a rough game on the ego, but I submit that people who stick with it gain something from this stress machine, this chaos engine we call Dead by Daylight.

  • @bibibib8 said:

That perk make me rage so often i stop counting. I spawn i see 3 survivor on different gen at the start. My first though is do i dc or try to salvage this game and go for a 2k its really not fun when your not even 10 sec in the game and you already know the outcome

Just go get the closest one. The outcome isn't written in stone, although three of them starting on three different Generators paints you a stark picture. What that information says is: CHOOSE your three Gen right now. If you don't think you can pressure them off, simply defend the 3 Gen and turn the game into a slog. The longer the match goes the more points for everyone.

I don't want it nerfed per say, i like what it does now but it just kinda invalidates stealth killers, GF especially.

I still want it to be good but, and if they do make it so it doesnt work vs stealth they should give it something in return, but it makes playing some killers feel kinda pointless. 1 perk countering my who ability seems dumb.

Any idea's on what could be done?

No, it doesn't. I play Myers; more specifically I play the Spooky Myers build most often. This means I'm entirely a stealth Killer. I managed to do just fine and not a game goes by that at least two of the people I'm up against have Spine Chill. The Perk doesn't tell them what direction you are coming from, if you are actually coming for them or just looking around, and you can trick Spine Chill fine once you have mastered moving the direction you want to go without looking at it.

Yes, Spine Chill gives them a better chance against you someone who doesn't have it. That is what Perks are for. That isn't to say it is the end all be all. I suppose they could set it for a shorter range to trigger against stealth Killers but then you have a whole messy can of worms. Would that also come into play against Killers getting stealth temporarily through another Perk. Can you imagine how useless entirely the Perk would be against a high mobility Killer who can cross massive distances and be stealth when you no longer get a head start? :)

  • I'm looking forward to it be unlocked again. I love the map. Granted, I'm on a PC and didn't have any technical issues. The fact that it is a maze isn't an issue. That is the fun. Besides, within two weeks of it being in the rotation again, everyone will KNOW that maze just fine. The people with technical issues have legitimate complaints; the rest of you just love to complain.

I like to tear silliness like this post apart. Most people on the Forum play both Killer and Survivor. The false dichotomy nonsense is just a bait and an attempt to create an issue that isn't really there. People like this are trolls.

  • If it wasn't for the existence of the new Wraith, Spirit, Nurse, and Blight... I "might" consider this but overall no. Right now if you start moving the SECOND Spine Chill flashes you "might" have enough head start to have a chance against these guys. :)

  • It is a Perk which suffers from the lack of design space. It is really useful, a very necessary addition, for a lot of Killers and not the least be OP in their hands. It does, however, offer options to high mobility Killers that they never had before. So, as I mentioned in another thread, there may come a day when Perks are designated to a Killer "type" rather than all Killers to address the growing disparity. Or, high mobility Killers may all need an overhaul which makes their crossing the map at rapid speed not something that combines well with coming out of it to attack.

*And for the record, I love the Perk. I use it on Myers however. I can only imagine what it allows a Spirit, Nurse, or the new Wraith to do.

But let me tell you, that game was the most fun I'd had in forever. Spooky wants to move into that police station, do a little homemaking, have some friends over; they will never leave.

I play on console so I just got to start playing Nemesis and I caught a bully squad my second game. I want to enjoy the ######### game. I am actually crying. I want to play the ######### game. I am sick of this ######### this game and ######### its community. I am so tired of it.

Bully Squads are a thing. I consider pulling one like my birthday because I like to pay them back for all the garbage they gave me back before I knew what I was doing. Even so, I can still empathize with you on this. I'm going to be as direct with you as I can. You can't let this stuff tilt you. If it is getting you that badly you need to take a break from the grind games. That is what Custom Games are for. Get with some friends. If you don't have enough people, just ask. Hell, I'll play with you and I have horde of people I can call up to round out a game if you need one.

If you do choose to keep facing the grind, you have to bite the bullet and just shrug when you get those Bully Squads. Immediately adjust your expectations and use them to practice. It won't take you too long and you will have them NOT wanting to play with you anymore. You will, in time and with practice, make them pay for every dangerous, risky thing they do in the name of their weird fun. Anyway, I know it is easy to say, but try to put the emotions aside here. And the offer to play with you Custom is always open.

That's a cool idea but i think those pistols should be picked up only against a match with Nemesis. like you take the Vaccines. It's stupid to take it as an item. and if you brought other items to the game you have to drop them in order to use the pistol.

Wrong answer! They can down you. Of course I know you were just giving your opinion. You know what they say about opinions right? :) As I said to you in another thread, the Zombies are here to stay. You might as well get used to them. I've never see someone who claims to have 3K hours in the game so upset over a bad game. Most people outgrow that at like 1K hours. Listen to the good advice of other, nicer people than me. Accept you had a bad game, be prepared for the Zombies next time, and move on.

Nah let's admit that solo Q is unplayable and everybody knows that. you're just trying to paint it in a pretty picture while everyone knows it's a lie.

I was downed by zombies because they caught me in situations that i couldn't escape them at all. the killer had no input cause he didn't PLACE them there like trapper or hag are doing. I don't need another 3k to practice I know that my skill levl is high but thanks for the tip.

Whatever floats your boat there champ. :) I haven't been killed by Zombies yet.

Hahaha another killer telling me after 3k hours of gameplay if i was tunneled or not. my team maters were regular solo q team mates who are useless and hide from the killer. Yes I got tunneled off hook and an NPC killed me twice. stop protecting your precious fellow tunneling killers and blame solo q survivors LOL.

I also play Solo Queue and I find my Teammates are rarely useless. I suppose it depends on where you are and what YOU do. I play both Killer and Survivor equally. When I screw up and get killed, I take responsibility for it. Let's take an uncomfortable look in the mirror here. You are complaining about ZOMBIES. You got killed by Zombies and apparently are unaware (or won't admit) that Nemesis drove you into them twice. Clearly you need another 3K to practice.

Yeah but think about it like that. If i get tunneled I don't have time to check around for zombies. I have to protect myself.

Now a trapper or a hag can tunnel me to a direction of a trap - but they PLACED the trap there. they thought about it, wasted their time, it involved the player's skill to outplay me with their power. this power is just random and an npc is doing the work.

    1. I doubt you were Tunneled.
    2. If you were being Tunneled where was your TEAM?
    3. They should be taking protection hits.
    4. They should be stealing chases.
    5. They should be bringing the proper Perks to help mitigate Tunneling.
    6. They can certainly lead off Zombies.
    7. They can do Shoulder Saves.
    8. They can sabotage hooks.
    9. They can even trade hooks with you.

I could go on but those are the BIG ones. This is a 4v1 game. No, if you have to protect yourself, you are going to lose. Survivors stand or fall as a team. I have found, playing both Killer and Survivor, that most of the time Survivors incorrectly identify Tunneling and Camping. It is easier on the ego to blame something outside themselves. Zombies are here to stay. You better get used to them.

Second hook - I was on a safe loop and the zombie just comes from one side and Nemesis from the other side. I'm dead for nothing.

Third Hook - I went into house of pain cause he was tunneling me. I see Nemesis coming down the stairs so i go up to the window - I vault - boom a zombie just standa literally ON the window and hits me.

It's dumb. the killer did nothing and his zombies took me out of the game.

This sounds hilarious. If for no other reason than that, the Zombies should 100% stay. :) You should know that Nemesis will HERD you toward the Zombies since he can see them. It is rather arrogant for you to assume that was entirely random. I know I run people into the Zombies all the time.

Something needs done about tunneling. And by tunneling I mean throwing the whole game for one person. Ignoring all other survivors. Singling one person out the entire game. There needs to be something to help balance tunneling. I'm not allowed to leave the game when I'm being bullied, which forces me to endure the toxicity. But no repercussions for the killer being abusive? There's only so much teammates can do to help. DS is nerfed. BT doesn't help. Where is punishment for bullying one person an entire match? I want a speed reduction for the killer when they are tunneling, until they can no longer move for 40 seconds. A detection of when a killer is spending too much time on one survivor, to encourage them to move on. Chase other survivors. Kick some gens. Apply map pressure. Why doesn't this exist? Why is there no encouragement to stop tunneling and play a fair game?

There are lots of things which already balance Tunneling as a tactic. You, and your peers, have to apply them. That means taking protection hits, stealing chases, bringing the appropriate Perks, and sometimes trading hooks. This is a 4v1 and you balance the strength (and tactics) of the Killer with your own. Yours involve multiple people. Until you and the other Survivors get on the same page and start to coordinate to protect one another, the Killer will pick and choose who he/she wants to chase.
