Im going to preface this with, last time i made a post on a perk i disliked yall went crazy. Stay chill. If you have a problem with what i say then address it dont just "????????????" (You know who you are if you see this) that being said, I Dislike the new object of obsession. It gives the survivors wayyyy too much information. Object of obsession as it is can easily be used to figure out killer perks without trying. You step near a totem and OOO pops off? Boom you know the killer has undying. Fast vault and OOO pops off? Boom you know the killer has im all ears. Not to mention you get information on the killers wherabouts when you the character would have no way to do so. With other perks that shows the killers aura there is a way you couldve located them. With kindred its reasonable that a teammate could tell you where the killer is. With the perk that shows the killer when he breaks something you can hear that. OOO gives so much ingormation its not even funny. The survivors are supposed to suffer a lack of information. Thats why undetecrable is a thing and why they cant see the killer in the lobby. Idk how i would change the perk but i dont like how it is. (Remember feel free to dissagree but donxt act like im an idiot just because you dissagree with me. Seroiusly im already tired of that crap)

Take a look at the title of your thread. You are correct; that is YOUR problem, not ours. :)

"3. NOED functions in identical ways to several Survivor Perks, triggering when the Generators power."

    ----

Wrong. It triggers when the exits are powered. 0 gens completed and NOED will still activate if the killer closes hatch.

<laughs> You know what I meant, i.e. when all five Generators are powered. Adrenaline, NOED, and Hope all kick in at the same time. It is to up the stakes for the final run.

I can’t do 5 bones and 5 gens alone. You forget not everyone is playing in a swf. I primarily solo queue and solo queue teammates are god awful. The very very very least bvhr could do is give us a totem counter without having to use a perk and that might encourage people to actually do bones. I agree that it can be possible and likely to get done 5 bones and 5 gens in one game but not as a solo queue player. This is why so many people hate NOED: it punishes solo queue players extremely hard. On the rare occasions where I do play with friend NOED is almost never and issue but as I said that is rare and I mostly solo queue.

I also play Solo; you don't see me making excuses. Not every Solo team you get is full of idiots. I find if I just do my job, many of them do theirs. If you are unhappy with your teammates not pulling their weight, that is also NOT a problem of NOED. That is a problem of the Survivors and they need to change their behavior. They did give you a Totem Counter on a Perk in the most recent update.

If you actually read my post I said we did get 4 totems done. It is not realistic to get done every gen and every totem in a match and this is what people fail to understand. NOED needs changes because right now all it does is give bad killers undeserved kills.

It is realistic. I play both Killer and Survivor. I face NOED with the same statistical probability that you do. We get it done. So can you. Quit blaming your personal failures on other people or the game. You either rise to the occasion or you don't. If you can't handle (or don't enjoy) the game, find another. NOED is fine. Thousand and thousands before you have dealt with it. During our exchange here people are dealing with it. Stop making excuses.

  • @fr0sty1223 said:

At the very least make it spawn like a normal hex so you don’t have to cleanse every totem in order to get rid of it before egc. Just played a game against a bubba who was actually terrible with the killer, he was a rank 20 and I was able to loop him for 3 gens because he refused to give up the chase and when we finally got all the gens done he gets a completely undeserved 3 k because NOED exists. Before you guys say to do bones we did 4 totems but the 5th was so hidden and we can’t just ignore gens all game to only do the totems so he still got it. This perk needs to be changed.

No, it doesn't. Do Bones. :) I know you said not to say it, but clearly nobody brought a map. There are FOUR of you, I'm sure someone could bring a map. Every Survivor I have has at least twenty of them in my loot. There are also Perks that help you find them. It doesn't matter how well it is "hidden" with a map or the right Perk.

NOED is fine as it stands now. The purpose of that Perk is to remind you that there is another objective besides Generators, i.e. Totems. You are supposed to cleanse them. The DEV designed NOED specifically to encourage you to do just that. They believe in Player agency so they allow you to choose not to do it, but make it a gamble.

I want you to think about something. NOED isn't designed wrong. It does exactly what they want it to do. Consider the following:

    1. NOED is a general Killer Perk, i.e. everyone has access to it.
    2. NOED is one of the first (if not the first) Perks Killers get offered on the Blood Web.
    3. NOED functions in identical ways to several Survivor Perks, triggering when the Generators power.

Horror movies have what is called a climax, a high point in tension right before the end. This is the most desperate moment when the Survivors are making their last ditch effort to escape. Things always rev up to an unprecedented level at this point. That is exactly what NOED is designed to do, make sure that the end of the match isn't anti-climactic, punctuated by Generators turned on, doors open, and you walk out. The did this on purpose.

The evidence clearly shows the DEV knows exactly how NOED works, and that it is working as they intended. What do you think the odds are that they are going to change it knowing what you know now? It is more productive to start bringing gear and Perks to help you kill Totems, and practicing the process. I assure you that Survivors manage it every day. In the time I took to write this post I'm sure Survivors have defeated NOED a hundred times.

the thing is. there isn't any door if you want to stay in the same game genre. People want to play this game because how addicting it is yet the game is unfun because of complexity and bhvr not fixing alot of things, still waiting them to skip chapter just to fix the game.

Another thing is you don't want to leave game where you had good time back in the time or atleast I LOVED dbd back in 2017-2018 until 2.0.0 patch came out.

that means you still want to play even tho you aren't having fun. Bhvr just should take a break in doing new killers or dlcs and they should skip 1 or 2 chapters for the sake of the game.

There is a door; it leads out of this game. There are literally thousands of games at your fingertips. If you aren't enjoying this one, it makes zero sense to keep playing it. Nostalgia is not a reason. Addiction is a reason to do the opposite, because if you keep playing something you do not enjoy because you are addicted to it, you have a problem and should address it by going cold turkey. Doing exactly the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxFgZdhF9dQ

So, I'm going to repeat my advice. Follow the example of Jack Burton above and hit the road. And like the song says, "and don't you come back no more, no more, no more.... no more. The game isn't suddenly going to get fixed to your liking. Venting here is going to have no impact on getting your wish. I'm going to tell you another thing you won't accept too. Your memories are playing you false. The game wasn't any better back in the day. You were different; the game was largely the same. It changes but with glacial slowness. We, as Players, change rapidly. You can never go home again. You know too much and so do your opponents. You either adapt to the new reality or you find a new game where you can go up through the phases again. One day I too will grow bored or unhappy with this game. When that time comes, I'm gone... like the wind. I won't even stop by here to give a melodramatic "goodbye cruel DbD speech." The choice is stark and simple. If you aren't enjoying yourself, take a break or leave. If you don't take action, you have only yourself to blame.

Nobody seems to want to say it so I'll say it.

    • If I want to know what aura detection the killer has Distortion is 1000% better, even with its crappy 3 charges.
    • Having zero control when OoO activates is horrible, and a lethal effect and it can really screw you over at the worst times. It can sometimes help you loop, but still only an idiot would take this perk unless everyone else is running DS or some such to offset it.
    • Completely breaks synergy with Sole Survivor. I mean lol who the hell designed this? I completely warned them about this when the OOO suggestion was made but as usual nobody at BHVR cared. SS is already bad it didn't need the only decent combo it had in the entire game become completely useless.

Poor Laurie, she's officially the most abused survivor in the game, everything has has has been nerfed to oblivion and they even left her crap perk (SS) broken for a long time, and now it hasn't even been buffed as they suggested following the OOO nerf.

Can't believe they went forward with these changes and didn't even consider any of the feedback to make the perk actually worth taking. But I guess they felt OOO was just too powerful so they as usual had to nerf it into the ground.

Then don't take it? :) Take Distortion if you like that better?

It's impossible to have fun while playing Killer. Because of the busted gen speeds you cant really do much as long as you play against half decent survivors that do gens with an unreliable killer. Simple solution would be playing a strong killer right? No! The game is just spamming bugs at you every single game. Btw autoaim takes away hits from you quite often, this has been a problem since the game released and it's still not fixed. Autoaim will make you hit the corner instead of the survivor, so much fun. If you play strong killers you will still win, but it is just not fun and I just have a reason to complain about the game like every few seconds a game.

Nurse? No ######### you! Take this Blink Bug, and don't forget this M1 bug.

    Blight? Are you kidding?????

Survivor isn't much better, survivor isn't as bad as killer but still unfun. Since the DS nerf killers just play extremely annoying almost every game. I haven't had a single killer that doesn't camp / tunnel and ruins everyone else's experience within the past few days. BT and DS will punish the killer for it and make them lose, but your own game experience is still ruined. Maybe it's just me being extremely unlucky with the killers too, sometimes it's okay to play like that. But a Stridor Spirit that completely ignores everyone she see's and just tunnels me the entire game from the beginning when she saw me at 5 gens is literally just annoying.

I remember having fun in DBD a few years ago, and seeing a game get worse over time is just sad. :/

And you do know where the door is right? If you aren't having fun, why are you still here? It is time to hit the road Jack, and don't you come back no more, no more, no more... no more. If it is impossible for you to have fun, staying here is kind of insane isn't it? I'm having plenty of fun; that is why I'm here. But you clearly are not.

It can work fine on stealth killers, and other killers too, but it absolutely wrecks Trickster/Huntress/Deathslinger.

I agree and cede that point without hesitation However, not every map is going to be favorable to every Killer. I hate all the wide open maps I draw as Myers. When they can see me coming a mile away, I know I'm in for a slog. It keeps things fresh.

Because I seen some people only get satisfaction from only getting a 4k each match. I think it's unrealistic. But I asked him since I believe he is a killer only player.

I don't know if he only plays Killer or not, but I see he answered you already. Everyone wants to win, and there is always going to be a bit disappointed in myself if I don't play perfect. That is a natural reaction from competitive types. I'm never upset with the other Players though. We all know the rules of the game when we step into the arena. But as I said before, if it was a GOOD game, in contention and hard fought, that is what matters. It is the journey, not the destination. Besides, there is no shame in losing to a good opponent.

  • Oddly enough, I love the new Coldwind maps, but I play a Stealth Killer. I appreciate the LOS blocking terrain.

Do you know how many times I get nasty messages from the killer for playing stealthy? Neither side can win these arguments

I don't think the OP was starting an argument. He was making the statement that rewards are more effective than punishments in this case (which I agree with). Killers must have the same Player agency that Survivors have or we would turn them into glorified Bots. On an entirely different topic, if you get nasty messages from the Killer, that is just bad sportsmanship on their part. You play how you see fit.

So if you don't get 4k how do you feel?

Lets say you get 1 or 2k?

You asked him, not me... but I'm going to give my answer to this too:

    1. 3-4K = Win
    2. 2K = Tie
    3. 0-1K = Loss

If the game was good, hard fought and challenging, why would I feel anything other than amped up by a good match?

  • @Yords said:

Without changing the core mechanics of the game, or changing how the game works entirely, you cannot get rid of camping, tunneling, and slugging or punish it. The way the game works just will not allow the outright deletion of any of the three strategies listed above. Punishing these strategies will also not work either, and they shouldn't be.

And no, adding perks that mitigate them will also not help since they can be abused and create imbalances. Perks like BT should honestly not even exist.

    • You can't implement a system that punishes killers for camping because they already are the killer is de-ranked the more they do it. Even then, they are few and far in between. It doesn't make sense to nerf it or get rid of it because it is generally a very bad strategy. If you die to a hardcore camping killer, it is safe to say that it was probably your fault.
    • You can't implement a system that punishes killers for tunneling because that is just straight up donkey doo doo right there, no offense to your donkey bois Karu. If you punish tunneling, you are literally punishing the killer for doing their job. That is like punishing survivors for constantly focusing on generators ("geN RuShInG"), it is dumb.
    • You can't implement a mechanic such as a free unbreakable for survivors to use if they have been slugged for a minute. It is one of the few strategies that a killer can use to their advantage and nerfing this would nerf all killers, and therefore encourage camping and tunneling more. And in the very rare circumstance that you are being slugged to death, you are only going to wait 4 minutes, it is not that big of a deal. Allowing survivors to get up after a minute would also encourage splitting up more since the survivor could get themself up without any help, therefore making survivors less dependent on other survivors.
    • Sometimes the killer has to resort to camping, tunneling, or slugging as well in some situations. Nerfing any of these strategies makes the killer helpless which should not be the case when you are playing the power role in this game.

So while I do think that you should never punish hardcore camping or tunneling, I do think that BHVR can encourage strategies that are more fun, as well as a whole bunch of other things.

They could somehow reward killers for 12 hooking survivors, they could (they need to) buff weaker killers to the point of "A" or "B" tier (and be fun to play as and against), they could also reward survivors more for playing better as well. Survivors could be encouraged to go for all kinds of playstyles such as taking aggro, doing gens, or (maybe, if done right) stealthing.

I think that survivors should be rewarded with more points. If survivors were awarded with more points for doing well, it would also make survivors feel much better if they died. If you do well all game and die, you still did very well, you just happened to die because the killer was good (probably).

    Thoughts?

It has always been my opinion, and stated belief that rewards are the way to go here, not punishments. I think Barbeque & Chili is an excellent example of modifying Killer behavior through rewards. But to do it base kit, I think that Killers should earn their own version of Bold. Survivors get Bold for remaining in the Killer's Terror Radius when not in a chase. I think Killers should earn their own version of Bold for staying a certain distance from a hooked Survivor, while not in a chase. Or instead of Bold, reward the Killers with some kind of Generator Regression. The point being, the Killer has to have a sensible reason to leave the bird in hand for the potential two in the bush.

  • I think the question is kind of loaded to be honest. A satisfying game to me, at least, is hard fought. It doesn't matter if I win or lose, as long as the outcome was in contention and all parties were all in. I play for love of the game. Now if you are actually asking me what I consider a win, and what kind of metrics I like, I would say:

    1. A win for me is 3+ Kills.
    2. I like to maximize both Blood Points and Emblem advancement.
    3. A perfect game is 32,000 and I hit that now and then. *You have to stretch games to get it though.

Satisfaction and maximum metrics aren't necessarily the same thing.

I am here to suggest some sort of penalty for the wannabe killers who face camp. Literally face camp. I have several screenshots/videos/ tickets i sent about this. It's frustrating to see how the new matchmaking gives me the same killer for 4 consecutive games(today alone i played 4 matches against Bubba,in a row, although was 4 different players behind it, the strategy was the same: sit in front of the hook, not engaging in chases, etc). Since they all use the universal build(NOED, BARBEQUE, RUIN, +/- Franklin's), i kindly suggest you implement some form of penalty for that outrageous gameplay. You nerfed DS like no other, you keep nerfing left and right.. yet this is not gameplay. What;s the point in solo queue-ing public games, since the killer won't move from hook, the teammates(some don't really respond to my attempts of strategic unhook) etc. Makes me lose interest in the game altogether and is a shame. I am starting to do some noob achievements(ADEPT etc) because i lost my interest in playing it seriously. I hope you consider this. (e.g if they sit in front of the hook for more than 10 sec there will be some sort of penalty) . I am simply suggesting , based on my personal frustration. Don't attack me for it.

Also imagine having so many perks out there, but not being original in any way and build your own killer . Copy paste the same 3 perks for any killer..sad.

    Sammy

Welcome. Some Killers are going to Camp. Nothing you say here is going to affect that. I'm not trying to be mean, simply direct and pragmatic. The best thing you can do is watch videos, read articles, and practice the game basics. It sounds like you had a run of bad luck. It happens. As time goes on you will find that you are still the victim of a Camp now and then, but it isn't near as common. You just put your head down and charge into adversity:

Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,

They're newbie survivors who play immersed in map corners and then have a tantrum when they get found right away.

Anyone who's played the game for a sufficient amount of time knows that BBQ is the healthiest perk in the game, it's the most effective anti-camping and anti-tunnelling perk in the game, and it only gets used so much because of the double bloodpoints effect, which was likely added specifically because they wanted to encourage killers to use this healthy perk.

    Bang, on the nose. :)

Well, I wanted to give you a suggestion about the barbecue & chilli perk, we all know that it is one of the most stolen killer perks in DBD, my suggestion would be to transform this perk into a TOTEM, where the survivor can purify it so that the killer doesn't see the survivor's location when deceiving a survivor! that's my suggestion!

This is the worst idea I've heard in some time. Welcome to the Forum Chami and try not to take people piling on personal. You are clearly new, and don't know YET that Barbecue & Chili is the best Perk for SURVIVORS to ever come down the pipe. If that Perk didn't exist, or could be cleansed as you suggest, Camping would increase 100x over. The Perk incentivizes Killers leaving the hook. They can't see anyone up close, but they get a flash of those Auras far away, and thus have somewhere to go. Without it, the Killer weighs if a bird in the hand worth two in the bush. Do you see my point? There is lots of counter play to the Perk, and even if the Killer does see your Aura (normally you should WANT them to see it to buy some space for a rescue), you have plenty of time and head start to not be there. If you don't want to be seen there are Lockers and Generators you can angle to be between you and the hooking (while you work on them of course). Long story short (already too late for that really) the Perk benefits you and your team as much as it does the Killer.

  • I don't have enough interest in enough of them to spend the Auric cells from previous. The only ones I really want are already free.

It would be a better solution, yes. So basically removing the information gap by giving Ingame Information. Like, a Command Wheel which indicates like "I am being chased" or "Doing a Totem" or "Going for Unhook" does nothing for SWFs, but would increase the information for Solos.

But, and this is a BIG but - BHVR will not do that. Just look at the Totem Counter we got - Totem Counters were asked for for years and we finally got it - bound to a Perk. They also said that there are no plans to make Kindred Basekit, which was also asked for for a long time (even before the Buff).

I also dont know why there is no basic Chase Indicator and you only know that another Survivor is being chased when they are the Obsession. So there are no plans for the near future to close the Gap between SWF and Solos.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2164393#Comment_2164393

I will just post the screenshot I posted in another reply to you (which you ignored):

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/S16S30X2EFDA/20210425203225-1.jpg

(Again, no names censored, nobody did anything wrong, they were all nice players)

This is a 4 man SWF. Yes, they are not all Red Ranks, but this can happen in SWF, they are just friends playing together. The game is able to see if Survivors in the Lobby are SWF, however, it cannot see if those people are actually good at the game.

A fifth Perk Slot for me in this case would just mean that those guys stood even less of a chance - I did not tunnel or camp anyone (everyone got quite some points, so nobody died early) and still they did not manage to do all 5 Gens. How exactly do you wish to demolish those casual players, if I get access to another Perk Slot (like Corrupt Intervention to give me an even better early game, or Pop goes the Braincell?)?

It would basically be frustrating for every SWF which is not full of tournament players, those are the only SWFs which make Killer hard. However, there is maybe a dozen of those worldwide, not really a problem.

(Really, "highest level of play" is just an excuse to keep Bullshit in the game, while nobody who is talking about "highest level of play" is actually experiencing it...)

So, as long as the game cannot really predict that I (in this case) really NEED a fifth Perk Slot, otherwise I would get demolished, giving such a high advantage to the Killer is simply wrong. It would just punish those players who would have lost anyway, but they would get even less done (like, those guys got 4 Gens done, I was in no danger of losing at any point... Should I finish the game with 5 Gens left instead?...)

I didn't ignore it; I wasn't sure how to address it. I have a feeling that you would destroy the same group with zero Perks. I'm not certain you are the best person to judge it by. I also want to point out that while I agree with you that SWF do not automatically equate to good, all SWF do have a competitive edge. It is a "potential" advantage. I think an additional Perk Slot on Killers is the same thing, i.e. a "potential" advantage. Many Killers are just bad and giving them another Perk slot isn't going to make them good either.

Just because a large number of SWF aren't good doesn't mean the advantage isn't there. There is a reason we are suffering for Killers right now. For what it is worth, I don't have massive problems with SWF either, but I'm insanely competitive. I'm not a good person to judge it by either. Something has to be done. I cede the point that my idea might be too much, but doing nothing isn't viable at this rate either.

Can you give me a example for a fifth perk build which would normalize the difference between swf/solo? How would you counter the disadvantage of a stealth killer with one perk?

Normalize it? No. There is no way to perfectly balance the potential information of Comms, but a 5th Perk Slot on Killers is a serious Force Multiplier. The combinations now possible would certainly grant a hard to measure competitive edge, just like Comms itself.

I'm not sure I understand that last question. Did you mean to say, how would I counter the disadvantage a Stealth Killer faces with one additional Perk? I hope that was your meaning, and I'll proceed for now as if it is so.

    1. Stealth Killers are actually less disadvantaged against SWF than other Killers. Remember that a SWF's primary advantage is passing information. Stealth Killers are harder to pinpoint and thus get their information shared. I am far more effective against a SWF playing slow Spooky Myers (Scratched Mirror + Boyfriend's Memo) than I am playing faster, terrifying Maniac Myers builds which are full speed. *Being Undetectable with no Red Stain and no Terror Radius makes it much harder to triangulate my position. They literally have to see me and can't just use the Terror Radius and each other to bird dog me. Does this make sense?
    2. One Build I would do for my Spooky Myers, if I had the extra slot is: Agitation, Star-Struck, Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, and Corrupt Intervention. I expect I would have most of them slugged before Corrupt ended.
    3. It doesn't sound like much but one additional Perk is huge.

Consider the implications of stacking multiple regression Perks up, all the good ones. There are just too many combinations now possible to fully relate. Like Comms itself, the potential is huge, but it isn't automatically OP. The Killer still has to make USE of the potential, and like some SWF it could be squandered.

  • @Firellius said:

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm very excited for its prospects as an intel-counter perk, and actually also as a NOED counter by way of declaring the enemy's aura reading perks. Getting solid confirmation on the killer having Undying, BBQ & Chili or Nurse's Calling is probably quite valuable.

It works exactly as you are hoping. It has come in clutch for me several times today.

  • @gatsby said:

Object gives you a lot of information.

What it traded for in direct Killer positioning information, it gained in the ability to discern Killer perks/add-ons.

It's also a lot more subtle in less in your face so it doesn't bug the Killers as much or give them reasons to tunnel you. You just sort of know things because you run this perk and its really nice if you can play around that knowledge.

The only real downside is that you can get revealed at inopportune times, which can make stealth plays that would normally be an option turn into a death sentence. But even then, I have noticed Killers generally respect this perk for some reason. Multiple have given me hatch and most don't slug for the 4k even if they see me once the penultimate Survivor goes down, which is cool.

Yeah the 30 seconds flash can be tricky. I have a little stopwatch in front of me. I just restart it immediately with a 30 second countdown every time the aura flashes. This way I can see when I'm getting close and can decide if I want to jump in a Locker or angle to be behind a Generator facing one direction or another.

Despite knowing, who is opening the Thread, I try. I know, I will not convince OP, this is an hopeless task, but luckily there are also other and more normal people in this Forum:

Ingame Voice Comms are a terrible idea. Several reasons.

First: Discord exists-->Ingame Voice Comms would need to be able to be disabled, this should be clear. However, why should anyone use them when there is already Discord, which is an almost perfect programm for communication? So, if I am playing Solo and I am with a 3 man SWF, why should they include me in my communication? They will probably still do fine, but I am the one getting screwed, because they have their own comms (which does not make it necessary to have ingame Comms), and since the game is balanced around SWFs, the Solo will suffer in this case.

Second: Language Barrier-->Not everyone speaks the same language. I have experience with events on international level, so I know how it feels when you talk to people who will not understand you and when you need a translator. However, the possibility of getting a translator is not possible in DBD. And not everyone speaks english - like, I am German, I can speak English. What if I play with some Italians or French, and they dont know English or they dont want to talk it? Then we all are screwed, yay.

This might work for the US where English is the main language, but this will not work for EU. Like, I guess 2/3 of my games have Russian players in it, and often enough, the first thing I see them typing is Russian. This indicates for me that they might not speak English, so ingame comms would do nothing for them or their teammates, who dont understand Russian.

Third: Social Barrier-->I know some of those players and I know what they are typing in the Endgame Chat - you dont want to talk to them. The DBD-Community is really immature and not everyone likes to be insulted by 14yo with 5 Euro-microphones.

And last but not least: Immersion-->Even if all of this above would be solved (everyone using ingame comms, everyone speaking the same language, everyone being mature and friendly), there are still people who just dont want to communicate with everyone. Who want to have an immersive experience in the game without talking to anyone, just hearing Chase Music or Terror Radius while playing. And you also need to keep in mind those players, they would have a really bad experience when the game is balanced around SWFs. And no it is not "their fault" for not participating in ingame comms, they should not be forced to do that.

Since I know that not everyone will read as much (especially OP):

    tl, dr:

Ingame Comms suck because of already existing programs (which remove the need to use the ingame comms), Language Barriers, the "amazing" DBD-Community and Immersion.

SWF is not that big of a deal, people should stop blaming all their losses on SWF (especially if they try to mindgame safe Pallets on The Game or lose Survivors right in the open, because they are THAT bad at tracking...Both things which also happen when facing Solos).

There are some good points in here that I missed; I hate it when someone catches stuff I miss. :) I've already stated that I think balancing the competitive edge of SWF can be handled a bit more gentle simply by unlocking an extra Perk slot for Killers when they face them. I think this is better for the Solos too, because then individual Perks don't get juiced to try and deal with the problem. The extra Perk only comes out when appropriate.

It still bugs me that I missed the whole language angle. But then again, your posts are always pretty on the beam.

I told you I'd play to test out camping if you'd give me a strait answer. Unlike you I don't change mind from post to post so if you actually give me a strait answer about if you were full of it when you said moris were super important to Player agency, or if you were full of it when you said that moris don't mater I'll Playtest with you.

He'll I've got nothing to lose if you can teach me a way to stop the killer from camping me then great. If you die ill laugh sowin win I'm extra game. I've got the set up i think figured out on how to test it as well.

It's getting a bit late tonight here but I'm free most of tommorow evening if that works for you, Wednesday I've got an hour or two around 7 (it's after midnight here for referenfe) but Thursday I'm busy I'm afraid. If those times don't work for you let me know.

Like I said if your actually prepared to play me to show me how easy it is for you escape from the killer great just answer my question and let's go. If you were just full if it when you said you wanted to play well I guess I'm a little dissipated but it would be par for the coarse for how you've been acting So I can't say I'm surprised.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVnQKFs8ykc

I'm not playing rhetoric with you. We are doing this or not. I need the setup if I'm the Killer, or if me and the others are the Survivors (with you the Killer) I need to see if tomorrow night works for them. I will cede you the courtesy that it is late and you might have places to be in the morning where we do not.

For the record, I'm perfectly willing to tell you how to mitigate Camping and help you. I've always been willing to help. I consider it an obligation to our community (and beneficial to myself too) to ensure we keep Players and they get better. Better Players mean more challenging games. When I'm Killer, I want to be fighting against Survivors that roar like lions. A rising tide lifts all boats.

My problem with you and a lot of your previous threads is the approach and lets be honest, the arrogance. I know arrogance. It is my sin too. Like recognizes like. I see too much of me in you, so it pisses me off. I am working hard to control those tendencies, to speak without the actual knowledge, to brag without having earned it, to assume an air of authority that isn't justified. I'm as guilty as you and have done all those things in the past, and I have to fight myself every day to keep the bias from blinding me. Self awareness is your friend. We lie best when we lie to ourselves.

Right now, for example, I'm starting to lecture you. I'd rather help you. That is what this entire long exchange has been about. Believe it or not, I'd rather show you how to deal with the problem than talk about flights of fancy where the DEV come in and fix it. Let's be pragmatic, you and I, that isn't going to happen. In this case, we must make our own solutions. And for what it is worth, there are lots of Players more seasoned, wiser, and talented than myself that will also help you. They helped me. I remember a time when I cursed the stars, let my blood pressure blast through the roof when I sat there camped. I was certain I had the answers and there was no way possible this was happening because I wasn't good enough. Well, you know what... turns out I was the problem. :) I got some help.

It is petty of me to try and bully you into a match that I can make content out of. And the nasty side of me still wants to do it if you are game. But I applaud and respect that you are willing to give it a go. With that in mind, let's do this right with courtesy and mutual respect. I apologize for insulting your intelligence; I reread my comments and I broke my own standards. You were trying to push my buttons, but that doesn't excuse the personal attacks. Give me what you have worked out if I am the Killer; I can probably work my schedule around what you are asking for but I won't promise it until I talk to my gal. I can't speak for the other three if we are being the Survivors. Or, you and I can start a new thread and try to help lots of people, talking about solutions and what WE as Players can do. And we can do some games and record the video to demonstrate what we come up with. You might surprise yourself (and me) and come up with some tactics that work yourself. I learn something new every day from the people I play with and against.

There's just so many ways for survivors to mess with the killer. The entire game as the killer you just feel like you're chasing a stupid carrot on a stick dangling infront of your head but you know you're never gonna get that carrot and that carrot is getting all the entertainment in the world

It's like the entire game is designed with the torturing of the killer in mind. The killer is just the plaything for 4 survivors who have ZERO fear of the killer whatsoever. That's the game at red ranks

The killer should never have survivors WILLINGLY run at him, that's a joke

The power dynamic is completely reversed past rank 5 honestly

No wonder survivor queue times are so long and all the red rank survivors constantly get matched up against purple and higher rank killers. It's because all or most of the red rank killers stop playing because IT'S. NOT. FUN.

Well... sometimes... sure. There are Survivors so good that they don't fear the Killer. It is the Killer's job to teach them the meaning of fear all over again. I'm going to suggest that "fun" is all in the head, and that you can decide something is fun or unfun. Are your matches in the Red Ranks going to be harder in general? Yes. Will they be sweaty more often than not? Yes. But I would suggest that being hard is not mutually exclusive of fun. Speaking for myself, I don't have any fun if the match isn't hard fought. I don't get any personal validation from a victory if the outcome was never really in contention. My fun comes from wanting to pride myself on overcoming the odds. It is shallow, but I would be lying if I didn't admit pride has always been my favorite sin.

What I'm trying to get at is that you might be outgrowing the game. We can never go home again. That magic time when you were learning and improving, when both sides knew just enough to play but not enough to be truly dangerous, has passed. You can't unlearn what you know, nor can your opponents. To find your fun again, you are going to have to rewire yourself and adapt to the new reality. Your games going forward are going to be harder and harder. I'm just being honest. You adjust your expectations to that fact and say to yourself, "I want a piece of that action," or you can take stock and say, "it might be time for me to take a break and try a new game."

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to run you off. I sincerely want to help you. Reset your goals, reset your expectations and you can have a blast. Revel in those hard fights, win or lose. The more you play against those really long odds, the faster you will advance and in time those confident, fearless Survivors WILL be running in the other direction as quickly as they can.

  • I'm happy with the update so far; it has been a blast.

  • @Mineguy said:

I don't get it really. Why do we have sneaky killers when this excists?

Spine chill should not work on

    Wraith

    Myers Tier 1

    Pig when crouching

    Ghostface

And all the perks who hides the terror radius....

While I agree it should certainly have a shorter warning range against Stealth Killers, perhaps 2/3rds of what it is against other Killers, I do think it has its place. Don't forget that they keep introducing more and more Perks that turn regular Killers into Stealth Killers in a match.

  • @Lord_Tony said:

So we all know removing SWF will gain no support from the survivor mains and we all know survivor mains claim SWF is not OP but you and I know fully well that's not true. They are OP as hell.

Since we can't get rid of SWF we give all survivors in-game voice chat.

So now every survivor solo or crossplay or whatever is now held up to the same standard as SWF

So now solos are finally on par with SWF all killers MUST be buffed accordingly to match spirit and nurse as ALL KILLERS SHOULD BE VIABLE AT RED RANKS.

There is no more difference from solo and SWF they are both on par with each other and killers must be buffed to compensate. No more balancing the game around solos.

While I agree with Pulsar and think having Solos with built in Comms would be a nice first step, I suspect the demands of the game might overpower a lot of systems. Some people have trouble running DbD now. Still, if it can be done, it is a nice step forward. I still think there will be Players who are uncomfortable with being forced to voice chat with others and simply won't do it. I think we will be writing them off as Players.

I think an easier first step (if we aren't going to break Solo and Team into their own Queues) is to code a simple Perk Slot expansion. Anytime a Killer enters into a match with 3+ SWF, an additional Perk Slot opens up to help counter balance the competitive edge provided by the SWF 5th Perk (Comms). Doing this would alleviate the need for trying to balance with juicing up Killer Perks (this has the nasty side effect of strangling Solo 10x worse than it does SWF).

Killers are more than willing to play against SWF, but I think they would like to know when they are doing so, and I think they would like compensation in the way of balancing the extra info. I truly think testing out the unlock of a 5th Perk is the right way to start. It is less code intensive, and less demanding on the Players themselves.

Hahahaha so first you can't keep your own points consistent and now its

my points don't matter unless I play you in a match first.

And then I'd imagine you have some other excuse lined up as to why your unable to give a strait answer.

I've made it clear that I think your disingenuous in your arguments, that all they stuff about player agency was just a mask to hide behind the truth which is you like to camp.

I've been pretty open about my issues I don't like camping becuase its boring and I suppose although I didn't state it directly in this thread yes there isn't really much of anything you can do about it as the survivor. If you camped it's just a sit and wait and then press struggle till you fall asleep from boredom.

But as I said if you want to play then I expect you to stop changing your points partway through and pretending you didn't.

Give me a strait answer, we're you full of it when you said moris were supper important to Player agency or were you full of it when you said that moris don't matter at all.

Come on Yellow Belly... the night it getting long. It is time, in the parlance of Perk for you to PROVE THYSELF. I'm not letting you squirm out of this and no amount of your inane misdirection is going to work. The only thing I'm going to respond to from you is where, when, and how... or that you are crying off. From this point on, you have to prove your qualifications for why you think you know what is best for the game and how it needs to be changed. You need to prove why you think you know better.

On a productive note, you did help me with the writer's block. I've a slimy little weasel of a character I'm adding in the chapter I'm outlining. I'll be writing a few pages of that for a bit and check back in later to see if you are ready yet. Again, no more evasions, no more banter... time for you to PROVE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS. If you can't, or won't, I'm not wasting anymore time with you. We are on display right now... clock is ticking.

All right then, close the feedback forums. All feedback is hereby declared redundant. The game simply 'is what it is' and striving to make it any better is a waste of time.

Pallet glitches are fine, you just have to deal with BT bodyblocks, visionary is fine and monstrous shrine doesn't need any changes. No, we're not going to decrease the grind, we're not even sure why we bothered updating the UI, Haddonfield should stay as is, and you all just have to deal with Trickster.

Y'all are on your own, deal with it.

I am so glad you're not a dev.

It is funny you should say that for a number of reasons, but that is a fair opinion. I'm glad I'm not a DEV too. :)

Alright fair enough I'll come up with a way to test out camping with as few variables as possible. In the meantime you answer my question. Or admit you were full of it either way works for me.

Is there a particular killer your prefer I play? Not Bubba though I hate him

No. Until you prove you have ANY credentials, even the smallest ounce of skill, your words and silly questions are moot. You haven't fooled anyone reading this thread, and I'm glad you did what you did because as people read through it, you are advertising your personal defects. At this point, YOU are the one trying to change the status quo. That means the weight is on YOU to prove that it needs changing, and that YOU are the person with the right suggestions. The onus was never on me because I'm fine with playing the game as the DEV state it is to be played. You are the one wanting change, and you are the one who has to meet a minimum bar. I think you are stalling and crying off. I will await with baited breath for you to get back with us (try for sometime this week please... I need the funny content) with exactly how I'm going to be Killer to prove your weird points. Until you prove you have any standing talking about this game, you are a joke. Get cracking.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2164251#Comment_2164251

Okay, so the only thing separating camping from cheating, in your book, is what the devs permit?

And you assume the devs are infallible then, yes?

Yes. This is THEIR world; we just play in it. If I take out a Chess board and we set the little fold out rules that come with the cheapies you buy today, we can see how to play. Those are the infallible rules of Chess. You can I could, personally, make any rules we want for the pieces. *Just like you can go and play CUSTOM GAMES with your friends and play by whatever extra restrictions you want to your hearts content, but those won't apply to anyone else. Do you see my point?

This is the game. The rules are not obfuscated. We don't get to add extra ones, only the DEV get to do that. We can disagree with them, and whine away our hours here rather than actually playing the game, but that won't change anything. In the end, we only have power over ourselves and our own actions. Thus, it is more productive to ask yourself, "what can I do to mitigate these obstacles I'm running into in matches?"

  • @wxnickxw said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2164243#Comment_2164243

I'm still waiting for my answer.

Wait so to be clear you said earlier that you read through mynposts and deduced I was a survivor main, shouldn't have been hard considering I've stated as much a few times, then you challenge me to a match becuas I called you on your bs, but you want me to play the killer instead of the survivor.?

Yes, I do. I know this is difficult for you to understand. You have demonstrated over and over again that you can't follow the arguments. But let me sum it up for you, I'll use little words and numbered points:

    1. You indicate that you think Camping is a problem.
    2. You indicate in several of your posts that you think it is OP.
    3. If it is as bad as you indicate, you should have no problem wiping the floor with us.

You playing Killer and using the tactics that you say are problematic is the only way to prove your point. I'm fine playing Killer in our little test if you can figure out a way to prove your point with me doing so?

  • @Firellius said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2163520#Comment_2163520

Take your argument all the way, then: should killers just be allowed to hack or cheat? It'd give them extra agency and might get us more killers!

No. The words hack/cheat are pretty clearly disqualifiers. :) Remember I play this game by three rules:

    1. Don't cheat, either by hack or lag spike.
    2. Don't disconnect; if you start a game, finish it.
    3. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

If the DEV said tomorrow that Camping is cheating, I wouldn't do it. Player Agency is the legal, valid choices inside the game. The thing is the DEV have already stated, over and over again, that those are valid tactics and it is up to Survivors to figure out how to deal with them in the game.

Sorry just to be clear here your not gonna admit you were full of it and instead your response is come fight me outside?

I want ignoring your point about why I didn't make a post about asking for help with basic problems is I'm not sure what problems you seem to think I've had with the game thay needed help.

If you've read through my posts I'm sure you've seen some about the bugs in the game I remebr asking about some of the challenges not working and it turned out they only worked on one map for some reason it that's what your looking for fine.

As for playing you what precisely are you proposing for a match?

Simple. You can be Killer and Camp and Tunnel or Slug or any combination you want to your heart's content to prove to us that it is broken. We will just play Survivor and try to get out. If your whining, mewling (endless) screeds about Camping are correct, we shouldn't stand a chance against you right?

I mean, I'd offer to play Killer but what would that prove? We already know you don't have what it takes to play Survivor. And my stomping you backwards and forwards (even with a team of your friends) isn't relevant to the points you have failed to make. I've got two other guys and a gal willing to take part already. I need the content, plan on making you a Blooper Reel. And if you show us up, prove your point, I'll still stream it.

Huh you seen to have completely ignored the whole you keep drastically changing your position in things part of my post.

Since your reading comprehension is so good could you read that first of three quotes and tell me if moris are important to player agency. The second one is pretty online with the first but Then read the third one about how there notting more than animations and see if you can find a consistently held believe in there.

I'm not sure which you believe at this point are moris important like you first stated or nothing important like your last post. Maybe you could clarify which of your posts is your actual belief and which is bs?

Pretending you didn't hear me call you out just now doesn't mean it didn't happen. Come on... time to pay the piper... are we doing this or what? You haven't explained why you have never made a single post asking for help in dealing with the most basic problems. You haven't answered my direct question as to why you don't take any personal responsibility for your failures. I just threw down the gauntlet. Since you clearly don't need help, you must be AWESOME at this game. It is time for you to prove it. If we are to put any weight behind your words, you need to demonstrate that you have the skills and knowledge to make these suggestions on how to "fix" things in regards to camping. Clearly you seem to think you know more than people who have been here since the very start. PROVE IT. I'm sitting in custom room right now Yellow Belly... are we on or are you crying off?

Your lack of reading comprehension isn't actually helping your arguments; you have to know that right? This is sad. It is time for you to put up or shut up. Why are NONE of your posts asking for help? You pretty much hit the ground running in complaining about the game from the very start. Why is that? Isn't it customary for someone to learn how to play something before they blame their problems on others? Let's see what you are made of. Clearly you and I have time right now. Let's get game on and I'll stream it. I think it could very fun, educational for both of us.

  • @wxnickxw said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2164167#Comment_2164167

Sorry didn't see an answer in there? Its almost like your points about player agency were all bs, but I'll give you another shot.

If moris requiring an offering doesn't reduce Killers to bots why would doing the same thing to camping be such an issue from the perspective of your don't prevent camping it turns player into bots argument?

Because a Mori is not a tactic you nimrod. A Mori is an animation that plays for fun, particularly now that they basically replace the third hook. The Mori was a shortcut, not unlike Keys. Tactics and Offerings do not function the same way in the game. If we took your insane logic to its logical conclusion, the Killer would have to put in an Offering to get to decide who he/she gets to chase when someone is unhooked. Choosing the same person twice in a row would require an Offering for some reason. Or your same idiotic logic would mean I can't slug more than one person in a row unless I put in an offering to decide not to hook this person yet. Are you still unable to follow this? Are you still unable to understand why tactics, i.e. Player Agency is different and necessary to the game?

You are new and don't have that many hours. We know exactly when you started playing because you comment on it in your early posts. You also play mostly Survivor (that is also in your posts) so you have a skewed, self-serving way of looking at the game. I play both Survivor and Killer in equal measure and my hours dwarf yours. In turn, there are people whose hours make mine look so insignificant that you couldn't graph them in comparison. Those people will tell you pretty much the same thing I have been (and so have others). This isn't about "us versus them". Most of us play both roles, far more of us in fact than people like you who only play one. We have a broader, more rounded view of the game than you do and to be honest more experience. Nobody is trying to tell you that being camped is fun. I don't enjoy sitting on the hook anymore than you do. That is why I practice looping, ask questions about how to get better, and work on my evading/stealth. I take steps in the game to mitigate my chances of being on that hook. However, I also understand that sometimes I NEED to be on it for the team. I don't shirk that duty either. I'm playing to win as a Survivor just as I'm playing to win as a Killer. Sitting on that hook is part of the dues you pay.

What part of they aren't changing it for you do you not understand? :) What part of you being a whining, blame others for your own problems type of person do you not understand? I noticed that you didn't answer me when I asked you why I never found a single post where you ask for help in how to play better and deal with Camping, Tunneling, Slugging, etc. I found lots of posts where you report weird little problems you had on this map or doing so and so, but NOTHING in regards to you trying to better you play. Why is that? Are you already perfect? Shall we play a game right now and you demonstrate to me (we can eve broadcast it) how excellent you are at this game and thus your knowledge must be right. I mean, someone who never asks for help must know it all already right? Why is it I'm only finding posts where you complain about others and the game, but never any where you take responsibility?

  • @wxnickxw said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2164132#Comment_2164132

Well see now I must say I'm confused first you said that loosing camping tunneling slugging mories or hearing would reduce Killers to little more than Bots.

But you made an exception for mories because even though you don't get them in every game it was not reducing killers to bots becuase they still had the choice to play the offering or not.

From a player agency perspective wouldn't that mean that having camping function in the same way would not be objectionable from a player agency perspective, which you have stated is your issue with removal of camping.

As for the definition that is so incredibly difficult to define and program I would submit thay an easy definition would be if killer is within x of hooked survivor he is camping. Seems simple Strait forwards and easy enough to code.

I'm told that there was actually code in place to stop the hook timer but that they ran into issues when they tested it becuase survivors would force chases near hooks, hence the chase exception. Not sure how they managed such a cost prohibitive bit of coding but they apparently found a way

Honestly? I'm starting to wonder about you, perhaps this playing dumb isn't just an act. You honestly cannot discern different concepts from one another can you? You are so drown in your bias that you cannot look at the game objectively. You seem totally unable to follow the conversation we have been having for hours, and still are mixing different things together as if they are the same. I felt better when I thought you were playing stupid as a rhetorical trick. The other option is too horrible to consider. There is literally nothing I can say that makes you look worse than you do yourself, every single time you post. At this point, I feel like I'm clubbing a baby seal.

  • @OldSilentHill said:

    Camping it's a legit strategy.

Yeah, I can see that. This is a constructive suggestion, short and to the point. I should take a page out of your book. I agree, people who get camped out and spend the ENTIRE time on the hook (which means waiting out Stage-1 and struggling to the end of Stage-2) should at the least, not lose a Pip.

Fair enough I think I've been pretty upfront about what I want, to stop camping and why, becuase It's incredibly boring.

And I didn't mean to imply that I didn't read you post just that when I read it I didn't see an answer to the one question it was proporting to answer, which was and is, do you still object if camping required an offering.

As the inclusion of an offering would still comply with the not taking away player choice that you have been claiming is the reason that camping shouldn't be removed, it would seem to me like you wouldn't have a problem, unless it's not really about choice you just want to keep camping in.

So yes or no to camping with an offering like moris?

Again, don't play stupid. I've read all your posts already, and you have a very specific way of evading topics and trying to turn the conversation. I haven't commented on whether or not Camping should require an offering because that is a moronic suggestion in the first place. I wish there was a nice way of saying it. We touched on Add-on(s) and Offerings earlier, talking about how they are different from tactics. What you are talking about is not only moronic it would be so cost prohibitive to try to code that it would bankrupt BEhavior even trying to attempt it. Let me cue you in on something else, since I know you SO MUCH BETTER now that I took the time to read all your comments (and the discussions you started). Camping and Tunneling are entirely SUBJECTIVE terms in regards to this game. There is no agreed upon meaning to either. How do you code something that cannot be defined? I know how you would define it, after reading all your drivel. But you are new, and apparently cursed. The sheer VOLUME of your discussions and comments regarding weird little problems and reports you make is insane. I've never seen anyone here constantly having issues with the most basic things. It is almost as if you are just making them up for attention. If all those are genuine, you must wander around with a little black cloud over your head, and it is always raining on you.

No, I don't think Killers should have to put in offerings to practice Player Agency in the game. The very notion is hair-brained. You haven't gotten any traction in ANY of your Discussions, polls, and threads because they are full of fuzzy thinking, self-serving nonsense, and all boil down to you thinking something isn't fun for YOU. I particularly like how in one you start it with, "Third time is the charm..." and go on to blame Killer mains for your failures to get any traction in your posts. You even blame others for your failures here.

Even with this latest patch they buffed BT to counter just about all forms of camping and we still get people that complain about it...like when will they be happy?

They won't be happy because they aren't really looking for solutions. They just like to complain, more than playing the game I think. They like having pity parties here. They don't want to work, they just want things handed to them. To some degree I blame canned ham games like World of Warcraft; they have brought up a whole generation of so-called Gamers who are used to simply succeeding by showing up.

Sorry your post went on for quite a while but I didn't see an answer, or I missed it becuase apparently just getting to the point is too honest for you.

So did you say it would be OK if there was an offering that would alow you to camp? becuase now it's a still a choice? I mean then it would be no different choice wise from a mori right?

Sorry, no dice. I'm not playing rhetorical games with you. I took the time to read EVERY SINGLE ONE of your posts since you started here at the Forum. It didn't take long, but it was tedious. My assessment of you is bang on the nose. Since you like the play games and talk about me, let's talk about you. I'm going to start quoting from all your posts putting them up in a wonderful little montage that showcases what you are about EXACTLY. I was going to work on a new chapter in a project I'm writing, but I've got writer's block tonight so it is YOUR lucky day. I'm already compiling the hits; I have to warn you, when they are laid out together, it doesn't show you in the best light. If you were a character on SNL you would be Debbie Downer.

Right like you said it's important to have choices. The point though about the loss of one choice invalidating all other options is where I take issue. So how is it that the loss of a single choice can be so important yet notnmatter at all when you loose one?

Bear in mind that not having a mori offering means you lost that option in the match or as you put it become become little more than Bots. But if your going to respond with well it only matters if you lose the choice sometimes becuase you can always choose to play the offering and that's OK, then I'm going to have to ask if there was an offering you could burn theb would you be OK with my proposal? After all now it's not effecting player agency to the point killers become Bots right?

No I'd imagine now there's something else that's wrong , becuade let's face it at the end if the day your real problem with it is that you are a camper.

But I'll still hear it what would be the next problem?

No, the only real problem is you can't debate any of the assertions I've made so you are playing rhetorical games and trying to keep the discussion about me rather than the topic. You lost that debate hours ago. You aren't fooling anyone reading these posts, and insulting our intelligence with these pathetic attempts at misdirection is almost amusing. You lost the argument, but to be honest it was DOA. There is no discussion on this matter that has any meaning because, as has been stated by many of us many times, the DEV have already told you they aren't changing it. You are a whiner that likes to blame your personal failures on other people and/or the game. All this jibber-jabber has been about lying to us but more importantly about lying to yourself. It is far easier to try and vilify some tactic in the game or other Players than it is to accept that you simply don't have the right stuff.

Rather than attempt to take stock and learn how to improve yourself, you come here (you and quite a few others) to moan and groan and try to get someone else to solve your problems. It is pathetic. It tells us everything we need to know about your personal character and ethics. Then you compound that image we have of you by playing with rhetoric rather than honestly having a discussion about the topic. What you could be doing in a thread is asking people how they deal with Campers, what solutions have they found effective, and asking what you can do to better deal with the issue. You aren't doing that; you aren't even paying lip service to pretending to do that. Even though thousands upon thousands manage to get by just fine, you (and your ilk) pretend like there are no solutions other than having the DEVs fix it for you. What a strange, small context you live inside.
