  • You realize that the linked sets wouldnt even exist if they couldn’t create them as linked sets? If you have a problem with them you can just ignore them and not buy them. There are not-linked cosmetics and there will come many more of those.

maybe instead ask for 2piece sets when the other cosmetic piece wouldn’t have problems like clipping etc.

We've released the map for Custom Games, unfortunately until we are sure of stability we cannot release it fully to the live build - but there's a very very small chance that you will encounter the map in a regular game...that's down to having it be accessible in custom matches.

The team is still very hard at work in working for a fix for this map as we know that it's a large part of the latest Chapter, and we really do appreciate our community for their patience whilst this is being worked on.

you folks deserve to know people are still trying to use RPD offerings. Maybe an in game this is broken banner.

So.. what is actually happening if someone uses the offering now?

will it increase chances for the map at all, or even almost guarantee it? Or will the chance still stay extremely low as it is now on default?

  • I guess your case would be different as you only have parts of a set cosmetic?

but, if this is still against the rules you will probably get a warning by the mods and then just don’t do it again :) I think it’s clear you didn’t do it on purpose and those linked sets have always been in a grey area..

You can change controls in settings.

there has been speculation/rumors that wiggling will get the struggle treatment for both PC and Consoles. So skillcheck based and therefore button based.

So game breaking bugs that make the game actually unplayable shouldn't be worked on because you want to take a extra week off early? They knew about the bugs for quite awhile beforehand. Why is it a Indie team with hundreds of employees can't do a job of a indie company with 8 people?

Just saying they have known about Racoon City PD map since PTB. Then reintroduced it so they can find the bugs. Which effectively makes the PTB worthless. Especially since they didn't bother fixing it back than. This isn't the first time. It won't be the last. You seem to be defending them, but like you've mentioned they keep repeating the same mistakes over and over and it seems like they care less and less.

Wait this arguments just gonna feed into the TC in a few more post. So no point in repeating it again.

uhm. I said fair enough and I get how that practice was upsetting…

i personally didn’t care in that situation but I did not defend that and actually said you were right..

with the map, I thought the crashes occurred on the live servers but not PTB, at least I haven’t seen reports during PTB (admittedly I haven’t looked for those, though maybe they also fixed some instances they could recreate in the PTB build)

The greedy company probably relates to the fact that they got sued for stealing fall out shelter and using its source code to develop a mobile game.

As for mine. It was a few years ago and they stated they were going on vacation over the holidays when the game breaking basement hook that blinded people 100% and had them stuck for a ez kill.

You can search them up if you want to, but if you've been playing this game for a few years you should already know or at least be aware of it.

Fair enough. But different circumstances, wouldn’t really expect someone to work over the holidays instead of spending the time with their families. But I get how this was upsetting. But it’s not happening right now.

  • Wait, is this something new?

as far as I know, if both are standing on the hatch the Surv doesn’t have a chance to escape - and I experienced that from both sides multiple times. (Not since the last update though that’s why I ask if this is new)

They ARE a greedy company. This is the same company that holds back updates because it costs money to ship updates. They fixed the old hill bug 3-4 weeks before that midchapter patch, but they didnt because that costs money.

Yes, but they let these game breaking bugs be in the game for months. Any other development team would be up day and night fixing these. I'm sorry I don't find cosmetics and nemmy getting extra BP a more pressing concern than Clown no longer having a power. Which has been around for over a week.

Last time we had a really bad game breaking bug. They acknowledged it and went on vacation.

Gonna ask for source on that as well. As far as I know they are working on fixing clowns power but just weren’t able to in time for this patch.

I'm not asking for a bug free game, I'm asking for literally any gamebreaking or serious bugs to be addressed.

Multi-killer has came back 5 separate times. How? ######### How? They touch a killer like Spirit and Wraith gets bugged, they touch a killer like Trapper and Clown gets bugged.

    The Spaghetti code is mind-boggling.

That’s why I said stop waiting. It’s foolish to think it will ever change at this point.

But they are addressing gamebreaking or serious bugs. They may seem slow on this but they do get sorted out eventually.

The RE cosmetics weren't even sets until people realized that the heads of the Jill and Leon were just the base head cosmetics, so now instead of just buying the clothes from the sets for $4 each you have to pay $10 for 2 cosmetics basically, thanks BHVR.

People want to act like BHVE is such a greedy company they try to twist everything they do to fit their narrative.

they have given the option for refunds for those cosmetics. And now they are clearly shown how they are intended to be in the shop. No one has to buy those if they don’t like it..

Stop waiting. If you are unhappy with how things went for the whole time chances are you will never be happy. You are setting yourself up for disappointment after disappointment, this game will never be bug-free. (And while this chapter update and the twins were pretty bad, calling it pre-alpha for 5 years is an unnecessary exaggeration, it’s not that bad outside of those 2 updates)

Fixing the bug is one thing, actively going out of your way to screw over players who had the bug is another. If you feel the need to defend them, kindly do it on another thread.

No I don’t think I will, thanks. If you can’t take criticism maybe don’t criticize others in a public forum.

we don’t know why they went out of their way to fix this. But it is a possibility that Capcom had something to say in this part and they insisted that this was thoroughly fixed.

    in Really? Comment by Mooks
  • Maybe they needed to do this because license holders they have a contract with insisted on it?

and this isn’t anti consumer. Those sets were never advertised to not be sets (well.. except for the RE sets I guess. But then they actually gave the option for refunds). This breaking of cosmetics is a bug and was never intended after all. Stop pretending you have a right for broken cosmetics.

there are also way more serious problems going on right now, as you mentioned yourself in the end of your post.

  • just had to test it and it is happening for me as well (on mobile here).

you can circumvent it if you type in a space before you use the symbol, then scroll the cursor back before the space, type the symbol and then scroll the cursor to the end, basically using a space or new line after typing it makes it use its function..

    >

there is probably an easier way to use the symbol though, some kind of escape-character you gotta type in front of it..

  • Flashlight for Nea (not only the clickyclicky stereotype but also her tagging her graffiti in the nights etc)

Broken Key with survivor aura reading for Dwight (which is basically representing Bond) or a Skeleton/Dull Key (as the leader he has the key?)

    Green Medkit for Quentin (Pharmacy)

    Skeleton Key for Jill

Rainbow Map for Elodie (I think it fits with the backstory..)

Dull Key with killer aura reading addon for Laurie

Some toolbox for repairing for Yui. Probably Mechanics toolbox. I imagine she would repair her motorbikes herself and has knowledge here.

  • Now that legendary character can get their own voices and names, they are not bound to the same gender it think.

so adding one TWD character would open the possibility for many legendary chars!

  • Make a short clip how you can’t pick up, and post it in the bug report section.

if not visible in the clip, try to explain details which map and in what scenario this happened (maybe the surv or killer was in an animation while being downed or something)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

  • I have seen a streamer that tries to use it as Twins to make people think they switched character. Or as was mentioned already with Dragons Grip. Or as Nurse paired with Noed behind an Exit Gate.

in the end, it is an stays a Meme perk and nothing more though.

  • While I love the Realm Beyond updated maps graphically, there is sometbinh atmospheric missing in the updated maps (which is not the colored hue); maybe it’s the fog or something else.

i don’t want the old maps back, but that feeling of the old maps in the new maps. If that makes sense..

  • Tropical island/beach theme. Think about the Movie I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Vacation resort with beach Areal during night and storm.

  • In the right hands, Twins have great potential. If you decide to get them I suggest watching Dowsey (a streamer on Twitch) he at least used to play them often and was doing very fine with them and he usually try’s to explain mechanics and strategy’s.

Trickster can be fun from a casual point of view, gameplay, aestethics and sound design are fun, but -as killer gameplay generally- that highly depends on the survivors you are facing..

edit: also remember there will be 9K shards given out during the even to everyone. If you don’t plan to save them for the next chapter you could get both…

  • Yeah I really hope they found a common ground with the license holder on Quentins face. The reworks are getting revealed and implemented soon and they just had negotiations with the license holder about the newer platforms (Switch, Mobile, Stadia) which finally got the ANOES license on those.

I don’t even need the actors likeness on this. If it is an improvement a la Laurie I am hella fine with it.

It certainly is for people who are still finding out about themselves. And it’s not even excluding heterosexuality on its own, you can be heterosexual and be a proud supporter for the LGBTQ+ community!

there is only a problem with ‚straight pride‘ as this is a term that was explicitly created as an attack against the LGBTQ+ pride. There is nothing directly wrong with being proud of who you are no matter what sexuality you have or think you might have.

  • But how will the car carry the survivors to the hook?

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294952#Comment_2294952

Again, I do it all the time without the char but for different reasons. Multiple people, even ALL the survivors could have the charm. Then I find another reason to make someone the goal.

Yet again, I didn't LET him go, he got away. If I could kill both, I would. But honestly, like I said it's like talking to a brick wall. One that gets power washed every 10 minutes. If you think it's griefing, cool. Great for you. I just don't care.

It doesn’t even matter what I personally think.

it just IS griefing. It is defined as such by the creators of the game. You are the wall here not accepting a fact.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294932#Comment_2294932

If I had an end game chat, sure. However, I play on PlayStation so the best I can do is PS message them that. Will that make you happy?

nope, BHVR can’t make rules for platform messages or take action on these.

and again, no one said you should let anyone go if you can hook them. But you are deliberately choosing someone because of an LGBTQ+ charm over Someone without the charm under any other circumstances which is the problem here. It’s not you killing a survivor or letting another go. It you targeting someone because of something like this.

the multiple matches are just necessary to confirm that you are in fact breaking the rules. Griefing in one single match is possible, but it’s not reportable as no one has proof. If you however explicitly stated after one single match that you killed a survivor because the charm and let another survivor go without the charm (which is literally what you described) that is considered griefing.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294897#Comment_2294897

I'm not going to let a specific player go, just because I killed them last time. I'm playing functionally no different than any other game. They just had the misfortune of being against me again.

You know what. If you are so certain about this, why don’t you start to write your reasoning why you targeted someone specifically in the end game chat? If you are doing nothing against any rules that should not be a problem right?

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294872#Comment_2294872

And like I said, just having a preference on whom to kill isn't griefing if you play normally. If that's not the case, there's a long line of people that need to be banned.

It can be considered griefing if it is the very same player in multiple matches.

and it is considered griefing if your reason for it I racism, homophobia or something like that.

of course, not provable in your case. But still against the rules.

No, it's not to ruin their experience it's because I want to hang them. If intention is all that sets it apart, then you're wrong.

If you remembered what I said, then you wouldn't have claimed I let anyone go. You just can't admit that you're wrong, about that or about what griefing is.

Which is a rather unbecoming quality btw.

You claimed you would under equal circumstances let the one without the charm go and always aim at the one with charm.

And you would do that with the two same people over and over in a row.

(it would be the same if someone switched the roles of the charm here btw)

your intention is to hang them, sure. But we both know you meant that in a way to let them have a worse experience. Otherwise you wouldn’t have used that survivor team and your saltiness over it as the reason for it.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294772#Comment_2294772

The choice is going to be arbitrary no matter which you do. It could be because I respect the Adam more, or because I like his hair. You fail to comprehend that it's not griefing to kill someone in a normal game over and over.

Them feeling salty is the only thing that would count as ruining their experience, otherwise it's just being killed as usual when you were found by the killer.

I swear it's like talking to a wall. Except a wall wouldn't forget what I wrote.

You admitted you did this in spite of those survivors that accused you of homophobia. You are doing this to ruin the experience of the ones wearing the charm, it doesn’t matter if they perceive it as such or not. That’s your intention.

i perfectly remember what you wrote. But I guess you don’t really remember that. And you just can’t admit that you don’t understand the concept of griefing in this game.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294760#Comment_2294760

Yes, because I can kill them. Both are in front of me, both are equally vulnerable. I'm not going to avoid one because they may feel salty about it.

There is no double standard for me. Stop using terms you don't know the meaning of.

You are saying it yourself, both are equally vulnerable but you decide to grief someone you already targeted six times before? You are going to avoid one because they don’t wear a charm.

you pretty much described the perfect (theoretical) griefing scenario without using tunneling or camping but you fail to comprehend that.

i also never said you shouldn’t do this because they would feel salty. I just explained to you that it is purposefully griefing from your part. Personally I don’t care if you are doing that. If I was in that scenario with the charm I would even go out of my way that you have to take me over the other survivor.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294743#Comment_2294743

The specific player is in a situation where they would be killed. I, as a killer, take that chance. Just because they have the charm, doesn't mean I should ever NOT take the chance. You continue to fundamentally fail to grasp the concept.

7 times in a row (and even more so, every time all the time) even though there is another survivor. That is the problem.

don’t act like I am trying to say you should go out of your way and not kill someone/take the Chance. You are the one with double standards here.

  • @BioX said:

what if I want to farm and the pride charm is a way to communicate that?

Just don’t force others to farm if they don’t want to. Farming on its own isn’t exactly against the rules. It gets problematic if you force others that clearly don’t want to be part of it.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294733#Comment_2294733

No, you didn't understand because you said I let someone survive. Own up to your mistakes.

You seriously think it counts as griefing because I killed one person over another? It's not. You can jump through all the hoops you want to claim it's griefing, it's not going to change the fact that it isn't. I admitted I hold grudges against several types of survivors for several types of things.

What's weird is for you to jump the gun and call it griefing when you can't understand the concept. I've never tried to defend the behavior "so maybe don't put words in my mouth?" I'll say it loud and proud again. Official forums, unofficial forums, bathroom walls and toilet stalls. I don't care.

I never said it counts as griefing if you kill ONE survivor over the other in one match.

you described it yourself. You will do this to a specific player multiple times in a row without any gameplay reasons. THAT is griefing.

and doing it only against survs with the charm is griefing as well. This was confirmed by the official Twitter account after they before that made a tweet that was not clearly worded.

you are the one not understanding the concept of griefing. Even though it was defined like that.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294696#Comment_2294696

No I'm not. You yet again fail spectacularly at reading comprehension. I very specifically said that I would kill both if I could, but in the scenario I can only kill one. I am not letting anyone live.

Is English your first language? Is there another language I can use to help you understand? Because you seem to be having trouble.

    I understood perfectly fine.

you are in any case let the one without the charm live and kill the one with charm if you can kill only one and have the chance for any of the two.

of course you gotta make a fast decision, otherwise both get away.

what you fail to comprehend is that if you make the decision to always make the one with the charm have the ‚worse‘ experience, that is griefing. And you already admitted you would do this because out of spite against others that used the charm to falsely accuse you.

in the end - no one can stop you. You can’t even get reported for it as that theoretical scenario you described can’t play out that way in actual matches. You are fine, I am not calling you a horrible person either. Many people do this because of other certain cosmetics.

it’s just very weird to go out of your way to announce this publicly in the official forum and even try to defend this behavior. And then you are blaming one specific survivor team for it.

  • @KateMain86 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294687#Comment_2294687

I prefer certainties though or as close to it as possible. We'll see how it goes in time.

There will be players going out of their way to make your experience worse and those that try to be nice and farm with you. Both are in vast minority. That IS a certainty.

most players don’t care about or even notice the charm. If anything of the above happens, those will stay in memory more of course, that doesn’t mean it is happening all the time though.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294659#Comment_2294659

And I do it to Claudettes because some of them are jerks. And Lauries. Or the ones with crass or childish usernames. Killing them as a killer without tunneling, camping or slugging is just PLAYING THE KILLER. In the situation, they are in my crosshairs and on death hook. You're saying I shouldn't kill them because I did last time? That's entitlement.

Never said that. Again putting those words into my mouth.

but you are letting others live because of it. Because you want someone else to have a bad experience. And that over multiple matches towards one specific person.

since when is it normal gameplay for Killers to let specific survivors live?

i am saying you should treat survivors with and without charms equally, I never said you should let anyone live or escape. But you are actually doing that on purpose..

  • @CoalTower said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294645#Comment_2294645

To me it didn't sound like they were looking for a specific players. That's what that rule means. Specific characters? Yes. But that's completely different. Who wouldn't tunnel a blendette? That means that most killers have broken the rules

How is that specific player that gets targeted by the same person 7 times in a row supposed to know that it wasn’t aimed to destroy their personal experience?

if you target Blendettes you are not automatically targeting every Claudette or every character that is a person of color. You are targeting players that play in a specific way. Of course that’s not breaking any rules and doesn’t have anything to do with racism.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294622#Comment_2294622

Then you need to look up what counts as griefing in the terms of the game. Hell, I'll report myself if this counts because I simply don't care. I shouldn't ever be forced to instead take Adam because someone feels targeted. Dbd clearly states that it's targeting specific people to ruin their gameplay experience. That ain't it.

But you have said you do this to people wearing the charm because some of them are so entitled. How is that not aiming to ruin their experience?

you are doing it 7 times in a row after all.. it’s not a one match situation in your description. It is targeting.

  • @GrimmGaliard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294522#Comment_2294522

The example is this: Let's say you have the charm and your group of friends are playing with you. You and Adam are on death hook, both injured, both racing toward the open gate and I can only kill one. I choose you. This same scenario happens 7 times in a row, I always choose you. This is the type of thing I do when I aim for someone, and it doesn't count as griefing. It's just making a choice. If I can get both, I sure will. But if I can only choose one, it's just going to be my choice. Even if it's over a large amount of games, you can't expect the killer to just not choose you over someone else when the opportunity is there because you may feel targeted.

All survivors I aim at are technically innocent bystanders. Somebody may just like to play Claudette and not blend, but she's still hard for me to see. This particular Laurie didn't do anything to me, but I've got PTSD from being stabbed by them so much back in the day that I want to see her hang. Etc. When I'm a killer, I'm gonna try to kill you. You won't know my reason and it won't matter because it's no different than you getting killed by the other guy. No innocents harmed.

You didn't say "may be considered griefing" your first response was claiming I went out of my way to grief people. Go back and check it, you seem to have forgotten.

And the thin air is more than worth it for the view.

    @CoalTower said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2294622#Comment_2294622

That's not really griefing. I don't think that that's breaking any rules. We can play how we want so long as we're not hacking.

    GRIEFING: INTENTIONAL GAMEPLAY ABUSE

    • Targeting specific users repeatedly in order to ruin their game experience

    look here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/19450/game-rules-and-report-system

it’s of course a super theoretical situation that will never play out like that. But that’s why it is such a perfect example of a griefing situation.

Yep, congrats, you just described a perfect griefing situation as far as I understood it. But it’s always a case by case situation. And it is very circumstantial in that theoretical situation so depending on what happened to the other survs etc it might not be considered griefing. But just with the info you have given it is..

(again, don’t worry -even though you never said you worried- it’s very unlikely for you to get reported for this with proof)

Who knows. Its probably just depends on who you get as a killer I guess. The idea of another survivor having a better outcome because of it does suck though.

There will be a few killers (and survivors) behaving differently when they see the charm.

But guess what? That’s probably also affecting every cosmetic or charm or char. There will be people that let Cheryls live, that will always tunnel Jill when they are playing Nemesis, that will target every Claudette because they are despicable stealth players (even when wearing that pink hat and white jacket somehow…).

but it’s the vast minority that actually let those things affect the way they play. And it’s naive to assume it’s only the case when the Rainbow charm is in play.

Doesn't seem to be rare enough for the OP does it? It looks like its becoming a problem by influencing the outcome of matches but who knows? Hey maybe this will prevent the hatch from getting nerfed. :)

i also think the OP was overreacting and That this was probably not because of the charm. Or it was just for a very short time after the charm released.

i don’t believe there are actually many people that go out of their way because another player wears the charm. I haven’t seen this behavior at all and I am wearing the charm on every char in every match. i must be extremely lucky - or others actually try to cast shadows on the introduction of the charm. Hmm. I wonder what is more likely.

And that is why the pride charm was a bad idea... in my humble opinion. Now I'm starting to wonder if the matches I've been camped or tunneled in recently were because I didn't have it on.

That’s a you problem. Not the charms fault.

Yea I knew this was a bad idea when I heard about it. I knew this stuff was going to happen in the game. And yea, I think I've seen it every match since it was added to the game. Maybe we can get a hide charm option? I never really liked them anyway but about 3 of them.

you could just not equip charms, that pretty much the same as hiding charms?

also, this behavior is super rare, I have had maybe two matches since introduction of the charm where the killer let me live. And then I can’t really say it was because of the charm since there was at least one other surv with that charm that already died.

maybe you are very unlucky or in your region/server this behavior is actually common but.. I don’t believe that tbh

I do aim for them. I said aim for, not tunnel. Not camp. If two survivors are in the street; One that I'm aiming for due to whatever reason and one that I'm not, I will go for the former. You made a wild assumption and can't understand that.

Civil? So wrongfully accusing me of griefing and saying I'm no better than the complaining survs is civil in your book? And I bet a horse is a small animal in that book.

Yes, I am quite salty about what they said. That's why I hold a grudge. But don't worry, it's impossible for you to go down to my level when I'm far higher than you could ever be.

aiming specifically specific players over multiple matches can still be griefing. I don’t know why you are always bringing up camping and tunneling. That’s not entirely what griefing is. And I didn’t accuse you, I tried to inform you that this kind of behavior may be considered griefing.

and you are aiming at completely innocent bystanders because there were some bad survs that maybe even just false flagged in this case. Have you considered they played you and they are themselves homophobic and just want to stirr up the community?

Also: don’t go up to high, the air is thin there :)
