she is already getting looped and genrushed.
what else do you need?
-
to end the round.
since a 3 minute death timer will start once a gate has been opened, survivors who wish to take the game hostage with this change migh try to 99% doors and then BM the killer.
with this change, the killer can force the game to end by opening the door. also, with NOED they might be able to put pressure on them by hooking one and opening the door, therefore greatly cutting the time they have for searching the totem.

Maybe Hillbilly is very mobile with his chainsaw but he can easily get looped. I find it one of the easier killers to run around. He is not as amazing or strong as people say. I rarely see good Hillbilly's who have put a lot of time into this killer, and even they sometimes have a hard time getting a 4k.
this.
billy is only strong in open areas that allow him to travel the map fast or to apply an insta down on survivors.
he is getting screwed over in loops easily.
-
fake.
i doubt they would put a survivors name in the killers perk names.
in general it seems like someone just wrote down what they want to see (scream chapter is something that a lot of players want for a long time now - same goes for NOED nerfs / freddy rework - which has been stated to not even be in its finals yet) and added the actual information the devs gave us to make it seem legit.
i wouldnt believe it at all. (especially due to that "Anonymous Dead by Daylight developer")
-
it should not wake you up.
-
alright, let me help you with a word of advice here:
these survivors usually have a pretty big ego and think they are hot #########, when in reality they think they think they were waaay better than they actually are. the best course of action for you is to first of all test out how good they are at mindgames. if they are actually good at those, ignore them. if they are not, you can eigther try to trick them twice and down them OR ignore them aswell.
by ignoring them you are taking away the one thing they really want: your attention and the ability to make themselves feel good by abusing broken mechanics (you will often see these guys run a perk setup that is very similar to this one: MoM, DS, Deadhard, Adrenaline). however, they will always try to stay near to you to be able to immediately rush in for the flashlight save once you cought someone else, so go and down someone and fake the pickup (walk on top of them and wait for like 2 seconds while looking down). now guess who will be standing right behind you with their flashlight? you guessed it. that usually means an easy hit for you (maybe even a down), which will scares them away and lets you hook the other person or, if they are really overestimating themselves, they will try again. i recommend to never just pick someone up when a guy like this is around, but always fake it and look around if he was actually trying to rescue his friend.
as ive said earlier: these survivors tend to think they were hot ######### and extremely skilled, so they usually cant handle good mindgames too well. down them too fast and there will be 2 possible ways: 1: they will immediately DC or kill themselves on a hook or 2: they will actually be a lot more careful now and you will find them to be a great stealth player, if they wouldnt have picked that red shirt and red hat for their survivor... a rare 3rd possibility is that they will continue acting the way they do, which just means they will fall for your traps again.
in the end chat, you just gotta learn to laugh at the ######### these guys usualy write. just dont forget to stay polite and report them if they get insulting in any way. also, if they escaped congratualte them for being able to win with the biggest crutches this game has to offer and ask them if they would also be able to escape without them (which they will eigther not answer or act like they could - but lets be real: without their 4 crutches they'd be screwed)
TL;DR: they are usually not as good as they think they are and make some really stupid mistakes, due to their overconfidence. learn to abuse those mistakes and you will find majority of them to be very easy prey.

They won't fix camping. They don't know how. Just play (as much as I hate telling you this OP) SWF. That way when you're getting camped you can just say "I'm getting camped do gens and get out" that way at the most the killer can get is maybe two.
Actually, maybe a passive perk for survivors.
"Fear of Death"
When the killer has stood within xyz radius of survivor for xyz time all remaining survivors get a repair time increase to generators for xyz amount of time.
'The hound did not leave its prey, the hopelessness of the situation inspires the Entity to grant a boon to the survivors for hope is what sustains It, and hope... It wants to generate.'
you can always just equip Kindred and everyone will be alerted if the killer camps.
that way they will genrush and the killer loses. is it that hard?
i really do not think you need a fifth perk. not at all.
if someone is in the need for that, its gonna be the killer or no one.
just live with it. killers have annoying strategies and so have survivors.
besides, camping has been nerfed so many times now, it really sucks as a tactic, unless the survivors allow the killer to get the kills.
-
haha... no.
maybe you are not entitled of surviving every game?
ever thought of that?
-
i usually play like 3 or 4 killer matches a day at max.
its just super stressfull and extremely frustrating if you cant win, just because the general game design is working against you (wraith on haddonfield...)
-
lampkin lane in general = insane loops
its the most unbalanced map in the game.
i think it would be way better if they just closed all the windows on the 2nd floor and made only the ones available that lead to a rooftop.
also, if they placed the gens up there more often, survivors would be trapped up there and needed to find a way around the killer to get out. i feel like that would be the right first step to do in order to balance this mess of a map.

Omg here we go again.. more nerfs.
not necessarily.
rework can also mean "buff" or simply a rework of how the power works with no balance changes.
like the wraith rework, or the spirit rework.

No what needed to go was a braindead playstyle that had no counterplay. Moonwalking was just a braindead cherry on top.
jup.
you got it.

this better be fake.

city maps are the worst!

It looks like playing legion would be a nightmare is they do those changes. Better they work some balance there, like 2 hits only required to down someone, compensating for having to get an addon to do that an waiting for the power to be fully charged, or it will be another killer going to the trash bin.
to be fair here: legion (pre nerf) is trash already.
they just changed them so its more fun to face them in an actual trial now.
they didnt nerf legion because they were strong (they were - and are - in a serious need for buffs), but because it was litterally zero fun to face them and survivors would just immediately quit once they realize they were facing a legion, which would completely ruin the game for those who didnt quit.
legion was unfun and they changed those aspects (the chase design). i do actually hope we see a full on power rework for them, but i doubt that will ever happen.
-
why did you buy them in the first place?
legion got released in a time where you could purchase chapters with shards, so you could have gotten them for free...
the devs wont do refunds.
-
i hate playing against Ash (even though i really love him), since they are 100% using MoM and usually also have a toxic playstyle.
for killers, i hate spirit, as she is so freakin unpredictable...
-
it is not.
however, since there is a auto ban system, you might accidentally get banned by it.
and since you messed around with the game files, the devs wont unban you.
so no, the devs dont ban for it, but the game might. i havent heard of it happening yet though...
-
they said you would be able to bring down the timer with add ons.
you just cant do it with the basic ability anymore.
-
when was Blood Warden ever weak?
it has always been my go to perk for the endgame, sometimes even my ruin replacement...
-
freddy aint gonna be that amazing when they got adrenaline though...
-
*continuously clicks his flashlight in the killers face*
i dont know what you mean...

To play Devil's Advocate here, say the survivors power the last generator and I have one guy slugged and I'm chasing a second. I down the second guy, open a gate to start the collapse, hook my slug, hook the second guy. Now the remaining survivors have about 60 seconds (slowed) to save the people on the hooks and leave.
Not too bad, right?
Now let's throw bloodwarden into the mix. The gates are blocked for 60 seconds. Unless the survviors are super smart and leave them on the hook while bloodwarden expires, they're not going to be able to escape.
Or even a more likely scenario, you throw NOED into the mix and down someone as they go for a save. You hook them and that knocks off that last minute. Everyone's dead.
It's a neat idea, but it would be a little silly in practice.
@Peanits wait... so Blood Warden does not affect the timer?
-
ayyy
someone else got it :D
-
now i really want to see more interactions of the entity with the game...
i just wish there was an animation for the survivors in lockers... like the locker getting grabbed and squished by entity legs or sthg like that...
-
noed: not too strong. cleanse the totems before opening a door / before the last gen is done
bloodwarden: i bet it will stop the timer / make it go down slower
rancor: nope. obsession can always just leave.
dark sense: i think its fine with revealing the aura after the last gen.
bitter murmur: ^^^
hope: agreed but has nothing to do with the endgame change
wake up: ^^^
remember me: works fine imo
left behind: yes. with the new hatch mechanic, that perk is literally useless now.
adrenaline: dont think it needs to be reworked tbh
-
killer closes the hatch means the doors get triggered.
you can no longer repair gens plus the 3 minute timer starts, but you can open the gates and leave.
i think thats how it works

Yeah those changes will be strong. Haha You compare already a two different mechanics. Having a map pressure and ability to end faster chases. My buffs would not hurt anybody and has a counters.
your buffs are not doing anything to improve the gameplay.
in fact, you just make things much more annoying with them. what people complain about is the unfun chase mechanics and lack of stealth play against the legion. your idea keeps both of these aspects, but instead of turning them into something less frustrating, just makes them literally unbearable.
the infinite frenzy idea itself sucks, as legion would just hit one and then roam the map with his killerinstinct, continuously putting survivors into the deep wound effect. once all 4 are mending, he will go and frenzy one guy down. and to answer @Maximus7 here: with the additional 25% reduced repair speed his idea includes for injured survivors, no. there wont be a 3 - 4 gen pop during that chase. i doubt they would even be able to do 1 gen when legion is using thanatophobia and sloppy butcher.
your mechanics, like i said before are very unfun. they will not improve the game experience against a legion, they will make it worse - far worse.
@Ihatelife said:
@Mister_xD And does the MoM has a counters against M1 killers huh?
it has not.
that is exactly why there are many people (including me) asking for reworks. its the same with legion actually. no counters => unfun to play against => will be nerfed.
-
they want stealth to be buffed to a point where looping is not the only way for a survivor to win against the killer.
and to explain the whole "exploid" thing: yes, looping is basically an exploid of the game mechanics, as pallets and windows were never supposed to waste all of the killers time and get them genrushed, but actually to break the direct LoS and give the survivor a 2nd chance at hiding. however, the devs knew about this "exploid" and allowed it, so its just a strategy now, like camping, gen tapping or turning around and following the blood trails of a deep wounded survivor.
you gotta understand how frustrating it can be to face a good looper.
imo, all those looping spots where you can see eigther over or through the walls need to be replaced with ones that have solid walls... without a mindgame potential, loops are unbearable.

They would still need to down you with basic attacks. So they wouldn't be frustrated to play against. Also you shouldn't also be injured the whole match and gen rush the killer.
they do not.
they will simply cheese the down by hitting you with their frenzy 5 times in a row, which is something you can not avoid and that is guaranteed to happen, which makes the whole concept of the killer unfun. THIS needs to be adressed by your rework ideas.
also, reducing the repair speed by 25% while injured is BS against a killer who can put you into the deep wound effect with a single, not avoidable hit that can be a chainattack aswell, putting multiple survivors into it at the same time. these survivors would need to mend AND heal before touching a gen until the killer comes around the corner again and applies the same debuff on them again. the games would literally take forever.
your buff suggestion is only in the legions favor you didnt even waste a thought on the survivors that need to face it.
might i remember you of the time when the devs decided to buff legion? they implemented a mechanic that the deep wound timer that gets applied on injured survivors would be reduced by 10 seconds. guess what? that was way too strong and unfun to play against, so it never made it out of the PTB.
-
@Ihatelife said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/425542#Comment_425542
25% debuff speed on gens after getting hitted by Feral Frenzy. Once you are full healed this effect is gone.
Infinite duration of Feral Frenzy with increased movement speed in it = good mobility.
i bet that would be soooo much more fun to face.
he would be even more frustrating to play against this way, since you would not only not be able to escape him, you are also even slower in your actions. great. the DC rate against legion would go through the roof.
-

@Ihatelife said:

Legion imo should be buffed to a level like the spirit. High skill = High reward. And now? Completely survivor sided killer.
his power literally does not allow that "high skill" nor the "high reward" aspect of your idea though.
they had two options here:
nerf the 2nd weakest killer but therefore make it bearable to play against him, or buff him and make it even worse.
the only way for him to become the way you want him is by completely reworking his power, which is something they dont want to do.
and if i am honest here: yes, legion will stay a bad killer, but at least he wont feel that cheesy and badly designed anymore.
also, lets think of it the other way: what does the rework give us? we can get an extremely easy first hit and then chase them down as a normal 115% mms killer. might work, might not. lets wait and see how the actual changes work out in the PTB and then give constructive feedback.
just stop the unnecessary hate.

Harsh? Devs literally showed us a middle finger to whose who paid for this killers.
you are acting like legion was a good killer to begin with.
we are talking about the 2nd worst killer here. PRE nerf. legion has never been "good" to begin with. he was just the most braindead and unfun killer to play, so they changed him after BOTH SIDES of the community agreed on the fact that he needs to be reworked.
the rest is written in my previous comment.
-
iron grasp affects both. the time it takes for them to free themselves is increased by 2 seconds and your movement penality while carrying them (getting thrown to the left and the right) is reduced by 75%.
-
dont you think you may be a little harsh there?
we have seen many killer buffs in the recent patches, so they do listen to the community, unlike before.
yes, the new changes suck, but they are still only on paper!
you always ask for getting more infos on how they plan to rework stuff, and when you get those, you act like everything is final and the game is ruined. the legion changes are not released yet! nor are the BT and deep wound changes! this is exactly why the devs usually dont say anything about that matter in the first place and let us wait until the actual update drops.
if you want to tell them that they got the wrong idea, do so. but stop exaggerating this much!
just tell them what you disagree with and what you would make different, so they get constructive feedback instead of just critisism.
thanks.
-
i agree.
i always thought killers should be the ones who get this information, not the survivors. like, survivors have just too much information. they get notified about killer perks, about hex effects, about status effects and the are the only ones who see the progress of stuff the killer applied to them (like deep wound or reverse beartraps)
imo, the whole hex notification system needs to go. it eigther provides you with totally useless information or with too strong information.
also the deep wound bar should be visible to both sides, the reverse beartrap should be switched by 180°, so the killer sees it and the survivor only has the beeping and so on... stuff like sickness progression should also eigther be shown to both or the killer...

@harley_gibson said:
It let's you tank A SINGLE hit and after that is useless. Also there is a lot of killers will counter play to this.
I honestly don't see anything wrong with this perk.
then let me show you:
MoM basically rewards you for failing 3 times, therefore letting you avoid anything that puts you in the dying state once.
basically, you get rewraded for failure, which translates to bad game design. there is no counterplay to it for majority of the killers, which also makes it feel unfair.
people would have less problems with the perk, if there was something the survivors needed tp do in order to gain their MoM stacks. like, tanking hits for the team grants you 1 token and 3 tokens let you avoid getting downed.
currently there are only very few killers who can work around this perk, one of them being billy. if they release a perk that screws pretty much all but billy, people will play billy more. and i think we have all seen the "nerf billy" threats in here...
-
while i do agree that the nerfs were waaay too much, i do think Legion was in a serious need for a rework.
and since i have literally never played legion (since i refused to play such a bad designed character that is no fun for anyone) i dont really care about the nerfs.
i do heavily dislike the deep wound rework, since it will affect all my killers now, thanks to BT.
i think the devs need to understand that Legion is not the only thing in this game that works with Deep Wound...

2019 patches have been nothing but survivors gutted and killers buffed. DS got nerfed and you guys are whining because Legion is getting a deserved nerf. Sorry but this killer has been the worst thing which ever happened to DBD and he in his current form is broken. If you fail to see that I do not know what to say.
no.
legion was not in need of any nerfs. as the current 2nd worst killer in the game he is in the need of some serious buffs instead.
please note that he is in need of a power rework, not a nerf. he was also not broken, he was poorly designed.
just some things that i felt like were wrong with your comment.

That's why there is a thing called DS
that will definitely work within the extremely long walk the killer needs to perform before being able to hook you.
lets be real here: you wont even see the skillcheck before you are getting back on that hook.
the only way i could maybe see this work would be with a fully loaded MoM (wont happen when you are camped on your first hook though), with breakdown or a sabo mate waiting to get that hook you have been hooked on.
outside these scenarios, good luck.
