  • survivors complained instead of adapting.

the huge shitstorm from the survivor community at that time was enough to have the devs nerf him.

the good news is, that they learned from it and no longer listen to complaints that occur in the first 1 or 2 weeks after the killer got released, plus test the killer on the PTB first.

also, there is a upcomming freddy rework! stay tuned, late 2035 it will drop :D

  • play Billy.

    use the chainsaw.

watch them complain about Billy on the forums.

    there you go ^^

  • i usually do.

when i see a survivor who cant stealth, run or even repair properly, i try to lay my focus on the others as much as i can.

in the end it turns out he was the rank 2 guy and the others were all green ranks.

thats what i call high level mindgames!

  • sometimes.

sometimes they will still get downed during the animation and sometimes they will stay invoulnerable for the next 30 seconds.

    everything works as intended...

  • because the license holders allowed it.

the devs themselves can not decide weather a licensed killer gets new cosmetics or not, all they can do is ask the license holders nicely and hope they say yes.

if they dont want, lets say Michael Myers, to get new cosmetics, he wont get any, no matter how many the devs already prepared and would love to put into the game.

  • *whistles innocently*

i only do it for the memes...

  • i shock the pallet / window they are running to and usually hit them, so i can get a succesfull lunge attack.

works a lot of the times, but sometimes you just gotta take the loop and have them drop the pallet...

  • so i gotta hit a survivor more often that id have to with hooking them 3 times?

    no thank you.

they are ultra rare and a one time only use. you dont see them too often, so i dont think your complaint is appropiate.

  • 5hcab3m7o416.jpg j6he8w9uxoq7.jpg

im just gonna leave this here...

  • i agree.

there should be a little change to it though, so it only affects traps that have been set by you once. that way, it wont confuse me anymore to where i actually made a setup and where the traps just randomly opened in the middle of nowhere.

(thats the main reason i really dislike the add on btw)

  • it really depends on it tbh...

if the totem is found, its gonna be broken .

if the totem is not found, it wont be broken.

thats how easy it is ^^

  • the devs want this forum to be a nice place without any hate / negativity.

Thats why they removed the "Downvote" and "LOL" buttons in the first place.

ye..... what about those chainsaw hits that hit you when your feet allready touched the ground on the other side #totally the same as other killers

    @Nightsong

that is exactly what i am talking about.

Killers, by default, have a short range through windows, allowing them to hit survivors on the other side.

Billys chainsaw has the exact same reach over a window as any other Killer has, its just the animation that looks a bit odd.

  • @No_Mither_No_Problem said:

Alternatively, you won’t believe the amount of time I’ve swung at Survivors before their body was even on the other side of the window and still didn’t hit them.

    this.

sometimey you get a hit thats ridiculous, even on your screen and sometimes the weapon just clips through their body.

just try to not stand too close to the window, otherwise you get hit. you cant always avoid that though.

  • thats the only time id agree that its a little too strong...

the only real thing you can do is keeping him on distance with windows or avoid him at any cost. once you are caught without a window you can quickly vault / pallet you can drop immediately, your done for.

you can try to bait it out by running left and when he's fully charged, turn to the right. that requires timing though, so you gotta know exactly how long he has to charge.

  • note: any character i Prestiged is also maxed out on all Perks / will be shortly (due to the release of the new Killer. Im working on it)

    • Trapper
    • Wraith
    • Hillbilly
    • Shape
    • Cannibal
    • Doctor
    • Nightmare
    • Clown
    • Spirit
    • Claudette (does not have every available Survivor perk, but has all i unlocked)
  • @Ajacks1337 said:

This is not a good idea. Doing this would make the game not found. Killers complain too much. Survivors hardly have any good/fun perks. Stop. Hillbilly hitting people through windows should be dealt with

    @Ajacks1337

    just because you mentioned it:

The Hillbillys range through windows is just as much as any other Killers lunge range through windows is aswell. It is not broken, as any normal M1 attack would have hit you at that point aswell.

The only problem is, that the animation doesnt really work out too well, as his upper body will clip through the window, making it look bad.

Billy has no advantage over the other Killers in that point. actually, its even harder for him to pull that off, as he needs to go through a charging bar before he can do it.

  • Billy is nowhere as broken as you are trying to portray him here.

his map travel is significant and does provide you with the ability to inflict dying state uppon contact, however it comes with downsides aswell.

The Hillbilly will slow down tremendously (to 100% movement speed) while charging the chainsaw, will suffer a penality in his ability to controll his, very quick, dash and gets a stun whenever he gets in contact with any object.

the snipe you were talking about is also something that happens extremely rarely and can be easily prevented by the survivors, just as @Peanits said. Any Survivor with some awareness will be able to dodge the chainsaw attack when it comes from far away.

He can be very strong when you are cought out in an open field, however Billy will suffer just as much from loops as a wraith does, as he is forced to play the normal 115% movement speed M1 Killer playstyle on loop locations.

his great strength lies in his ability to quickly travel the map, as well as catch survivors in the open field with ease. this is why he is put in the #2 spot of the Killer ranking.

The Nurse, which you tried to portray as less strong than Billy, is far Superior in almost every way. She has a great map pressure and can easily catch Survivors, no matter where they are, as her ability allows her to easily ignore any defences the Survivors have.

You are clearly not the best at the game, but please try to improve instead of coming here and complain about things you shouldnt complain about. Thats what ruined Freddy in the past, so please try to avoid it.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

As someone that was a Freddy main for some time, I don't get this whole "Freddy is the worst killer so he needs to be exempt from this" philosophy. Freddy hits with a basic attack it should count.

Not to mention, Freddy is getting a rework. When is the big question but I'm sure he will jump up a few spots on the tier list afterwards. Are we gonna then go and find the next worst killer and make them exempt from stuff?

    @thesuicidefox

now, i dont want to sound like a smartace, buuutt...

MoM doesnt work if a killer uses his power to hit you, right?

now, yes... freddy does have a basic attack, however he wont hit anyone with it, unless he uses his power on the survivor first. that way he is actually using his power (indirectly, but he still uses it) to hit a survivor, which should deactivate MoM.

its the same as with the nurses hits. a blink hit is achieved with her power, therefore it doesnt count. i bet when she gets a normal lunge attack on a survivor, MoM does work perfectly fine, doesnt it?

even though it probaply aint gonna happen that these get added / stay, i believe this is a good explanation for it ^^

  • but freddy is op.

    he needs more nerfs.

    or i will uninstall.

    immediately.

  • okay.

i think noed should not be able to be taken down once it activates.

if that goes through, i dont have any problems with your idea ^^

  • @Kind_Lemon said:

Do Blink hits affect MoM? They don’t affect Dark Devotion at least on tier two from what I’ve seen

they dont, but it's already stated thats just a bug. it'll be fixed eventually and then they do.

  • STOP ASKING FOR THAT!

it has been tested already, it has been abused, it can lead to infinite games (or will you rush in for the rescue when bubba is standing in the radius?) and its pure BS.

    if you cant handle camping

    9euzaavexidx.jpg

  • it got what it deserved.

    thats what happened to it.

  • @Peanits said:

That would, unfortunately, highly limit where totems could spawn and potentially make them even easier to find. If the area around each generator is guaranteed to not have a totem in it, the survivors will not have to search there and in turn have less areas to search in order to find it.

We're currently looking into totem spawning. There should be more changes on that way, and we are continually tweaking specific spawn points of the more obvious spots.

    @not_Queen

i defnitely agree on that, but i still think totems should not spawn right next to a gen. i think a survivor sitting on the gen should not be able to have eyecontact with a totem, otherwise they wouldnt have to search for them eigther.

i like what you did on the red forest, where the totems can spawn close to a gen, but behind a wall, so survivors who'se only focus is the generator can not spot it. i think all of these spots should work like that. somewhere where you dont just sit right next to it while doing the objective, in a corner (or sthg similar) with some grass in front of it.

i do apreciate the work you guys put into the totem spawns, they have become a lot better already, i just think they could need a little adjustment.

    i appreciate your work ^^

    probaply.

  • yas fredi ovapoward af.

iz no fun to plai against. plez nurf imediatley or i wil uninstahl >:-(

(wouldnt it be hilarious if one of the devs would respond to this in a similar way? xD)

  • unless there is proof for you doing something against the rules, you are fine.

the reports will probaply just be discarded.

  • i dont like what you did with trappy :c

#TrapperLove (i hope it actually shows the hashtag instead of making it incredibly big again... EDIT: yay :D)

  • (just watched all the vids)

where did you get such bad survivors??

seriously... these videos dont rly show how "strong bubba is", but actually how bad these survivors played.

lemme break down vid #1 ("If survivors try to pallet loop this may happen:") for you:

00:00 - 00:19 you spawn in and immediately spot a jane. good for you.

00:19 - 00:30 jane completely ignores the bus window, turns away from a great loop and also does not throw down the pallet, even though you are standing right behind her.

00:30 - 00:32 jane goes down (obviously). claudette just got unlucky there.

00:32 - 00:46: claudette immediately ragequits once she realises she'd be going to the basement. the team is now down one survivor while you didnt even have to insidious camp the basement, leaving them no time to get the gens done.

00:46 - 01:07: nea screwed up the flashlight blind AND let herself get hit twice, while you were carrying the claudette (which made you slower than nea btw)

01:07 - 01:13: you hook jane #1 and jane #2 misses a skillcheck (wouldnt have changed a lot, as you would have seen her with BBQ. however, i guess she was aiming to go for that locker in order to prevent being seen. in that case, why did she only start moving after you already downed nea, instead of going for it the very second you pick up jane #1?)

    01:13 - 01:14: nea ragequits.

01:14 - 01:19: jane #1 ragequits. now only jane #2 remains in this trial with 5 gens and exposed position.

01:19 - 01:26: jane #2 is standing in front of the locker she probaply wanted to use to dodge BBQ. she gave up at that point (with 3 ragequits and such an... special team, i am not rly surprised)

01:26 - 01:32: you down her and won.

see? this had nothing to do with how "good" bubba is, but is actually just showing how bad these guys played.

right now im really just hoping this is bait and you werent serious...

  • he is considered weak, as he has literally no map pressure at all, is easy to spot, can be heard (heartbeat) from miles away and his power barely finds any use in a chase.

unless you somehow manage to find a survivor in the open, your not gonna get the chainsaw hit. plus, you get heavily punished for hitting an object, while the rev time for the chainsaw is extremely high, PLUS you get a huge slowdown while doing it, but no major speed boost while using it.

he is only good for camping, which has been nerfed HEAVILY in the latest patches.

  • Shelter Woods.

the map is like pallet town since they "adjusted the amount of pallets".

it just feels cheap to play on it, as there is literally a pallet every few meters.

i dont rly have any problems with all these maps tbh, Rotten Fields is fine, Father campbell's Chapel is fine and i havent played enough on the Temple Of Purgation yet (even though it seems pretty tough - big map (bad map pressure) and quite a few loops)

  • i sit nextto the hook until the person dies, desperately waiting for the killer going away, just to be cought out after he did die and then get camped myself.

and then i go to the forum and complain about camping and how unfair it is and that killers should immediately lose all BPs when staying within a 50m raidus to the hook for longer than 2 seconds after hooking a survivor, while the survivors hook progress should get frozen aswell.

cuz camping is op and there is literally no counterplay to it

    *cough* sarcasm *cough*

  • @[Deleted User] said:

@Mister_xD i’ve hilariously had survivors so desperate to keep waking themselves back up that they’ve taken a nearly completed gen right back to the fully regressed state in about a handful of seconds because of sleep, kick, repeat.

@DudeDelicious yes, thats exactly what i mean.

and in the end chat they will tell you how stupid you are for using overcharge, while not even realizing what they did there...

  • @Delfador while i do understand what you are trying to say, i have a few issues with your answer. yes, some killers need add ons, that is correct, but why would i play a killer that needs constant leveling up to be viable if im trying to farm BPs for a different killer?

besides that, i think its a flaw in the general game design that there are killers who really need add ons to be viable, but thats a different topic.

i would definitely enjoy it if there was something like chests for killers, where they can get random add ons out of (random, not guaranteed to be the ones they are currently using), which will be given to you in the result screen.

and yes, there is a lot of boosted stuff out there, but the list you've made there doesnt rly work out too well... insta heals are a one time only use, you can not save them from being used up. keys also only let you escape through the hatch once with them, unless you have the right add on. bnps also are a one time only usage. and all the killer add ons you listed will be gone after the match, unless you used the black ward...

id like to see something like the chest system i mentioned earlier. you will get add ons out of it, but the higher the add ons rarity is, the more rare it will be to find one. and yes, i think killers should be able to find ultra rares aswell, simply due to the fact that survivors now can do so aswell.

  • overcharge on freddy is like a tradeoff.

you give them the ability to wake themselves easily, but also they will take down 10% of the whole gen progression. they can escape the dreamworld fast, by revealing their location and get a gen down by a lot.

dont forget you can always just sleep them again, which will lead to them failing another overcharge skillcheck.

people who tell you its dumb to run the perk are usually also the ones who dont understand how it works. all they see is the easy dreamworld escape (somethimes even mid chase), but dont even recognize the damage they have done.

  • billy needs exercise to be used correctly (this applies to every killer btw).

you cant just pick him and master him in your first game.

in the right hands, billy is a devastating killer to go up against.

  • @Eveline said:

No it is a smoke screen for keeping our attention away from shirtless Myers.

    it needs to happen.

  • i think its okay that they can keep their add ons, when they keep the item.

however, id like the killer add ons to be keepable aswell. on the other hand, killers already gain more points, so i think its fair...

  • free hits for me = easier game

i dont see any problem here

  • cleanse the totems during the game, leave, cleanse the burning totem at the endgame, be stealthy or loop properly.

    9euzaavexidx.jpg

  • NOED is fine.

Totems are supposed to be a secondary objective that is ment to stall the game out for longer. However, since there is no punishment for not doing it and instad rushing the main objective, Survivors do that instead. NOED works as this punishment. If Survivors fail at their secondary objective and the Killer uses NOED, they get punished, but if they succeed in it, the Killer will get punished for risking the gamble.

Its a high risk / mediocre reward perk. Exposed is good, but all the downsides / counters the Perk has pretty much kill it. cleanse the totems and you'll be fine.

    end of discussion.

  • Clown is a Killer specifically designed to fight looping and mindgames.

you will find out where he throws his bottles with a little experience.

also, he is by no means slow. he has the basic 115% Killer movement speed, which means he is walking just as fast as the majority of Killers. His Bottles also slow down Survivors, so he can catch up even quicker.

He is build for chases and should not be underestimated, otherwise he can easily stomp the Survivors.

The only thing he really lacks in is map pressure. he has literally none of that, so getting gen rushed as Clown is something that can easily happen.

He is not bad. Good Mid-tier to lower Top-tier.

  • so you're facing Freddy while being in the same voicechat as the other survivors?

  • im just having way too much fun with the Trapper than to switch.

besides that, im currently leveling Spirit, so my Plague is still lvl 1. I'll play her, once i got her to lvl 50.

  • there will be this one invisible wraith bodyblocking the totem. it is going to happen xD

besides that, i think the idea is decent.

  • no.

    we need more. MORE! MORE!!

  • lobby waiting times are high, because a lot of players want to try out the new killer.

this is nothing special and would stay the same way, even with the old matchmaking system.

also, i personally find the game to be much more fun now, simply because i stopped looking for pips. like, before i was rly sad when i depipped or savepipped, now im just like "eh, okay." and move on.

i also find myself playing a lot of killers i usually dont play that often at higher ranks.

rank means nothing. now more than ever.

WE NEED A RANKING REWARD SYSTEM!! otherwise there is just no reason to grind to red ranks.

  • it only reduces the stun by like .5 seconds...

enduring only affects the recovery from the stun, not the overall srun time itself.

i dont have the maths right here, but ive seen someone else do them and he came to the conclusion that the stun with enfuring is ~2.5 seconds instead of 3.

    thats not rly too much...

  • finishing the round and not being 110% pissed off.

i usually always say "gg", yet i rarely get a answer from the survivors :c

1 … 110 111 112 113 114 … 140
