  • I got a msg from the survivor that died because I opened the exit door BEFORE HE GOT HOOKED.. So the killer camped him (was a clown) and started throwing gas at him so no one would unhook him. He died and messaged me. TBH I'm usually very helfpul, I will stay and try to unhook during EGC, but this was pointless, plus I was doing the escape through the doors using hope challenge so, I will obviously put myself before others sometimes, especially when it comes to finishing a challenge vs helping a random stranger that is almost unhookable *shrugs*

    cross-play must be a priority.

queue times are the biggest issue in the history of this game, please do something about it.

And also to enable MnK for consoles.

  • How did y guys manage to break the game so much after this update? Even after the hot fix the wiggle bar is still broken, it does show up but only after a few seconds.

  • I've been looking for a match for the longest time I keep getting error messages about host connection.. So annoying

  • The queues are already so long, at least in console. I wouldn't mind this at all since I'm a solo surivivor, but this might make endless queues for SWF, since most of killers would do solo queue.

Another thing to take into account, on console you can be solo and still SWF when the other randoms in the lobby invite you to voice chat, so... yeah this wouldn't work for console (except switch since they dont have voice chat)

  • I love how I get messages from killer who had 4 escape msg me complaining about my stack, and I always play solo. Killers just assume everyone is SWF when survivors escape or there's tryhard players in the game lmao

  • @ASAPTurtle said:

Yellow and Green ranks are the worst. They always have cocky players that think they're good but there worst then the killers and survivors are red ranks. Purples are the best rank to stay at imo

    I'm red and I agree I prefer reds/purples

Everyone already knows that Oni's Adept is probably the most difficult due to his lack of any good perks.

Everyone already knows that Oni is an M1 killer on Console due to the devs not letting us change sensitivity; as well as the fact that his power causes major frame drops.

Tell me what I'm supposed to do.

I'm at purple/red ranks on killer, on PS4 and I want to get Adept Oni. With his useless perks and useless power on this platform, what am I supposed to do? Just keep playing matches as an M1 killer with no slowdown(ruin, corrupt, pop) or quick tracking perks(bbq, bitter murmur, all ears)?

The only real option I see right now is to wait literally 4 months for my rank to go down (thanks to the rank reset changes that no one asked for).

Only other thing is to just take the DC penalty up my rear just to de-rank. But I don't want to ruin other people's matches. I know how long console survivor que times are.

Not the best option but, you do know we console players aren't getting the disconnecting penalty, right? (xbox and PS4) because we don't have dedicated servers yet. But yeah just disconnecting over and over is not a good solution.

  • @ZFennecFox said:

Can we talk about the lack of people playing Killers in the red ranks on PS4 I'm waiting up to 15 to 20 minutes for a game.

Im a red rank on xbox and it's the same, it takes forever to find a match as a survivor. I'm NOT excited about the new rank reset, it will take me back to purple and i will still have a hard time finding matches, eventually going back to red and having an even harder time finding matches.

  • @drunky26 said:

You can say this about any rank tbh.

Yes, of course all the ranks have good and bad players, but there seems to be some sort of consistency at least. In red ranks you can expect good players (or plays) or some tryhards, yellow levels you can expect more killer camping and more immersive survivors.. green ranks are just all over the place because it's right in the middle.

as a killer, when the gates power up now there is a noise explosion behind the gate as if someone fastvaulted something / failed a skillcheck.

its distracting to say the least.

Sounds like a bug, I sure hope it is!

I don't believe so. I'm fairly certain all players received a cosmetic which looked similar to the real chuckles mask called 'Iron Chuckles'. The true exclusive chuckles mask is of an ultra-rare (pink) rarity whereas the one everyone has is common (brown) if I remember correctly.

Ah that might be it. I haven't played since the update but when I saw the pictures of the items we will be receiving it was like "wait a minute, I think I already have it".

    Thank you so much <3

  • Question.. did we already have the "chuckles" mask? I noticed it in my inventory a while ago. I certainly didnt earn it. I'm on console.

  • Totally not biased options LMAO

She unhooked a survivor in the basment...infront of a leatherface...right next to a hook and wasnt punished for it because of a perk.

How dare she unhooking in the presence of the mighty leatherface!

  • When I get DS I just deal with it and move on. It's not difficult to catch them again anyway.

  • The only reason I run self care is because i take longer finding teammates to heal me than healing myself. And running bond for the purpose of healing is the same as wasting a slot for self-healing. I use medkit probably half the time cause it's faster, but when it runs out it's super annoying having to rely on someone else to be healed.

  • whenever games get rid of that feature (this is not the first ive seen) i immediately suspect that their matchmaking system is crap and it's their way to "fix" or stop the matchmaking complaints.

I haven't played since the update. Do they still show you the levels after the match ends?

    Hi, everyone!

After some digging in the forums, I couldn't find any conclusive answers, so I needed to ask:

I'm playing the game on PS4, on my account, but using the copy of a friend that he bought digitally (his account is set as primary on my console). Unfortunately, this friend has a US account, while I have an EU account, so I was wondering; if I buy an Auric Cell pack on my account through the EU PS Store, would it be compatible with the US Version of the game that I am playing?

Otherwise, I don't see any other way to buy Auric Cells in my situation, aside from getting my own EU copy of the game -which would mean losing all my current progress and DLCs-

The US store is unnaccessible to me either, so I can't buy cells from there.

Thank you for taking the read it and for your help, have a good day, everyone.

I don't see why it wouldn't? I've game share with many US friends on xbox and I've always been able to buy stuff in my currency and having my console in my region. I know you are PS4 but I'd like to think it's similar? I have to say tho, DBD is not one of the games I share, so I might be wrong.

  • I play on xbox and I don't usually have that many issues, but the constant "freezing" is annoying. You KNOW that every time you finish a match there's gonna be some seconds or maybe a minute of freezing before the results pop up, same when you go to the store, go back to the main screen to select survivor/killer.. basically every time you click on something there's gonna be some kind of freezing involved

  • My latest DC was 2 days ago, on console dedicated servers arent a thing, so during the lobby the ping was green, but when the match started I was rubber-banding like crazy, so I left the game. I have no idea what happened.

Yeah, there's times when you DC because of other reasons and if you get punished for that is kinda unfair, but I'm gonna have to agree that most of the DC's are rage quitters. Last night I got 3 DCs, I was playing trapper :( freaking Chuckles! not even Freddy/Spirit FFS..

Currently this mechanic of having a single survivor, the hatch appearing is interesting, but in MANY games the killer just camps one survivor on the ground or looking for the other. So as not to have this chance to escape, it becomes boring many times, is it not possible to change something? For example, when two survivors are left a time comes up and if it runs out, the hatch appears and so have a more interesting game because it is also ridiculously difficult for a survivor to escape the collapse time, the killer would continue closing the hatch but now there could be two survivors trying to escape.

I don't know if this is the right place to talk about it but it's just an idea, every 10 games 8 are like this , What do you guys think about this?

I literally just slugged myself to freedom. I crawled across the whole map while the nurse chased, downed and hooked the other survivor. It's a great feeling.

Thats not what he's saying. If you actually read the post and comment content.

    1) You cant rebind those actions.

    2) Some of the priority are incorrect.

When near a hooked survivor the priority should be unhooked. When near a pallet it should be to drop. when two injured survivors are near each other it should be to heal the other one. When picking up a survivor near a ledge it should be to pick them up and not vault.

Not sure what about this concept you are having issues understanding

    Why the hostility tho?

  • @ChiTenshi said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/878579#Comment_878579

That's how it works, they are the same keybinding. They can be changed but not separated.

Then how do you do to drop a pallet instead of healing someone under it? It prioritizes the healing action instead of dropping.

  • Wait how do u do it? I only have "use item, drop item, pick up item interaction, actions, secondary action/skillcheck, hook struggle, activate ability"

Isn't the "actions" both heal and drop pallet? Those have to be the same button, no way for me to separate them..

  • @chase131119 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/878584#Comment_878584

I play on PS4, you're able to rebind keys. My healing is LB while pallets/windows are RB.

I didn't know we could separate them, you're a life saver thanks!

  • @chase131119 said:

I have a simple solution for the healing survivor and the window/pallet one, rebind your keys. Why are they the same keys anyway?

The self-care/unhook though they need to prioritize.

Because I'm a console pleb and I can't do that.. At least as far as I know

  • Today I tried to unhook someone in the basement, someone had died there and instead of u hooking I grabbed whatever item was on the floor and this cost us the game..

I also died because I tried to drop a pallet on the killer and a teammate was slugging there and it tried to heal instead of drop, so I died...

  • I do agree that farming games are super boring. But why would a "friendly" person get banned? I've really not cared about killing survivors if im focused on other things like daily challenges/archives. I would ignore the gen rushing / killing if I have a specific goal like chasing a survivor for 3 minutes. I'll do that instead.

I'm pretty sure he meant rift fragments, not shards.

The graph you gave is XP table for devotion and how many shards you get per devotion level (1-99).

About XP, you can indeed get more than 800, but its only twice per day.

First, XP is capped per match at around 580 and that cap is reached at 10 minute mark, as thats how you get main XP portion, besides the silly emblem bonus that is what... Around 16 max?

Each day, you get a bonus of 300 XP by playing each role, this means you can get around 880 (or 850, doesnt matter) XP per match + worthless emblem bonus twice, netting you 1700 XP for 2 games (as long as you capped the XP, which means you played both rpunda for 10 minutes or more).

AFAIK, in order to get 1 rift fragment through exp, you need at least 16 games (avg od 500 XP per game), and that takes just over 2,5 hours per day of pure gameplay, not including any lobby time.

You dont need to play that much either, due to tomes giving you a big portion of lvls anyway.

That's what I told him earlier, the only way to get over 800 XP is to get the 300 first time of the day bonus. He insisted he was getting 800+ XP every single game he played... That's why I posted that chart, to show the XP part. roughly 2 games to get 800 (not counting first games)

800 xp a match , 1 shard per match. Are others not getting 800xp a match? weird. I can tell that there is no convincing any of you. I'm done making further comments.

And "sorry to stab your ego", here's a chart to further prove my point, made by DBD. (I dont talk just to talk, i DO base my comments with facts)

    LMAAOO.PNG

In this chart that shows you how many shards you get per level (shards are earned by leveling up, you level up via XP) to get 720 XP (less than the 800 you need for one level) you need 2 games total.. totally proving my previous point ;)

don't know what you are going on about, but i have been playing the game 2 hours so far today and have gained almost 3 levels in the rift. Sorry to stab you in the ego, but you are doing something wrong.

LMAO, dang, sorry to stab yours but to get 800+ a game could be with the extra points you get for first win, or first match of the day or whatever that is.

I play both killer and survivor and especifically checked both to see which would gain more points, and both are almost the same.

If it really was that easy, you wouldn't have a lot of people complaining about it.

  • I havent tried but If i get frustrated I'm probably gonna play like crap to force myself to derank and try to do it with baby survivors.. *shrugs*

  • @hinoutoumei said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/872932#Comment_872932

the tome has nothing to do with the rift. You can complete the premium pass you bought quite easily by gaining 1 "level " per day, which takes about an hour of your time. You gain levels simply by playing. When you collect 10 shards you level up to the next tier in the pass. The tomes can be completed at anytime. The only thing frustrating about their design is that you cannot que multiple challenges at once. Originally you could, but I guess they removed that.

"you can complete the premium pass quite easily by gaining 1 "level" per day, which takes about an hour of your time"

LOL where did you get these stats? one level is 10 shards, each shard is 800 points, each game is around 500 points, so you need at least 2 games per shard.. so you need an average of 20 matches per level (remember this is an average, great matches and poor matches will obviously increase or decrease the amount of games you need to play)

And that isn't taking into account the matchmaking times. You know it could take forever sometimes to find a match, plus people disconnecting, dissolved lobbies, etc.

    lmao

  • Yeah, I'm aware of all that. Just wondering if they nerfed it like, today lol.

It's funny me and 2 friends noticed it separately, and all in different games.

    Weird it hasnt changed.

    Thanks guys! <3 @FireHazard @Brady

Most companies won't ever tell you if a player was banned or punished or what because doing so would violate privacy. This isn't anything new.

I didn't say it was? I never implied i should've known? I'm acknowledging the fact that of course they wont tell me... Geez.

We will have to agree to disagree. My experience as well as others have shown dbd to have the worst community in gaming currently. The games that you listed do have some level of toxicity but dbd is another level.

I assume you've never played gears of war. That community is way more toxic than this. And I remember back when I played Destiny (1 and 2) i was surprised of how toxic people were. I'm just gonna go ahead and say people suck, and it's not the game. Gamers are toxic and get frutrated, no matter what game they play.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

I let survivors go all the time because I just don't really care about killing them. I'll get my four stack and then I'll chase them around a bit and just let them all go. I've been playing like that for over a year and never been banned for it. Sometimes I outright farm, sometimes I don't. I meme around a lot and play games where I never even hit or hook any of the survivors.

Every time the issue of farming has been brought up, devs have said they don't encourage it but that's it's only bannable if it's done at the expense of one of the survivors. In other words, if you're farming with three survivors and you force the fourth one to farm with you when they don't want to, then it's bannable. If three survivors work together with the killer to kill the fourth survivor, that's bannable.

I would recommend opening up a support ticket and inquiring into the matter, because any answer that's not from a dev is just hearsay, and devs won't discuss individual bans on the forums.

This happened to me once, the killer message us all saying he wanted to farm, I didn't reply and he targeted me while the others watched him hook me, let them unhook me only to hook me again until he killed me, they all were around the hook watching.

I clipped it and reported him both in game and via ticket. It says it's been "resolved" but of course it doesn't say if that player got a ban or not.

  • It doesnt work with tier 1 Michael, does it?

  • As far as I know, farming is not allowed, no matter the circumstances, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If anyone can also answer this: what about just ignoring players to do an achievement? Like "chase a survivor with this killer for x seconds" just let them do whatever and just chase them without downing them for a while just to do the challenge. Is that also bannable?

  • @xCarrie said:

Idk man. I usually like playing Feng with three shirtless David’s. It gets pretty wholesome. 🙂

especially if the killer is sexy-leg-Myers

  • I'd assume there's no way to tell who's SWF, if they aren't in the same lobby, just randoms who decided to join a voice chat (this happens somewhat frequently in console since you can just select the name and invite to a voice party) so.. yeah.

I play solo most of the time, and I enjoy it 100% more when there's great teammowork without communication. There's this feeling of accomplishment without saying a word, cause it's harder. Of course there's times I wish I could mori my teamments myself when they all just do annoying things because of that lack of communication lol.

  • what is "original" ? what other snacks do as "bublegum" flavor?

Hard to tell.. i remember reading the answer of a question more or less related to that, from the devs:

"They are not kept together. They are all in their own place and not really enjoying themselves." "

I'm gonna answer something REALLY different from what you guys usually get... Sometimes... Hear me out... Just sometimes... There are killers who lack potential to kill and maybe even worse, they just had 4 horrible games in a row where they couldn't get a single kill (maybe against teabaggers who body blocked the kill in the end game) and they need to have some kind of "release".

    Face camp, Tunnel, Ebony...

    You get me?

Could be. I have only camped once, ever. It was to finish a kills challenge and I wanted to just get over with it. I immediately messged the survivor apologizing and explaining why I did it. He was pretty cool about it lol

1 … 4 5 6 7 8
